  • Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber Have Near Run-In at Tori Kelly’s Album Release Party

    Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber nearly had a run-in at an album release party for Tori Kelly that was hosted by Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun in West Hollywood a few nights ago.

    Attending the party with pal Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez saw the Biebs, but there was no interaction between the two.

    “Justin and Selena saw each other and didn’t engage whatsoever,” a source tells Page Six. “Selena was too busy enjoying herself with Ed and her girlfriends.”

    There were several members of the younger Hollywood set at the album release bash. Cody Simpson was there, along with Ashley Benson and Meghan Trainor, who jumped on stage for a surprise performance of her first hit song, ‘All About That Bass.’

    Sources say Ed Sheeran never left Selena Gomez’s side all evening. Justin Bieber sat apart from them–nearer to the stage. Selena Gomez and Ed Sheeran left shortly after Justin Bieber arrived. Bieber arrived and left with a group of his guy friends.

    “Selena came with Ed and left with him shortly after Justin arrived,” adds the eyewitness. “It was obvious she wanted to avoid any drama.”

    Justin Bieber celebrated the premiere of his new music video with Skrillex and Diplo, ‘Where Are U Now,’ on Monday. It is rumored to be about Selena Gomez.

    Tori Kelly, an American Idol contestant from season nine, blew fans away at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday with her guitar and vocal performance of her song ‘Nobody Love.’

    Under the management of Scooter Braun (of Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen fame), Tori Kelly will soon release her first album–Unbreakable Smile.

    “There was definitely ups and downs,” she says of creating the album. “I wouldn’t want people to think that it was just like ‘snap your fingers’ and the album is done. There is definitely a lot of hard work that goes into the album.”

    Tori Kelly is a very versatile music artist. In addition to her guitar and vocal skills, she also plays the piano and drums.

    She cites her parents as big influences behind her music ventures. Her dad is a singer and bassist, and her mom plays the saxophone and piano.

    In addition to competing on season nine of American Idol, she beat out country superstar Hunter Hayes on America’s Most Talented Kids back in 2004.

    That said, no one should be surprised about the stellar performance Tori Kelly gave at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.

    Even Ed Sheeran was blown away by Tori Kelly’s performance.

  • Carly Rae Jepsen: ‘Call Me Maybe’ Singer Releases New Single, ‘I Really Like You’

    Carly Rae Jepsen, the Canadian singer best known for her 2012 viral hit single ‘Call Me Maybe,’ has released a new single. Some say ‘I Really Like You’ is destined to reach the top of the music charts, too.

    “I told her that she couldn’t come out with anything unless it was on the level of ‘Call Me Maybe,’” her manager, Scooter Braun, said during an interview with Billboard in January. “And, now we have a new one that is on that level.”

    The lyrics are a bit young for Carly Rae Jepsen at 29, but most of her fans lose sight of the fact that she’s not a teenager. She sings of the angst of first love, and shares the emotions of young girls waiting for that phone call or text that never comes–or takes it’s sweet time coming.

    The fans who are excited about the release of this single are no doubt excitedly anticipating the release of the whole album. Carly Rae Jepsen has collaborated with some music masterminds in the making of her upcoming third studio album, too. In addition to dancing with Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber for the ‘I Really Like You’ music video and title song from the album, she met in the recording studio with Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes and Jack Antonoff, the lead guitarist for Fun.

    Carly Rae Jepsen, the Canadian singer best known for her 2012 hit song ‘Call Me Maybe,’ is returning to her music career. She has called upon a couple of big names to help her, too. Her upcoming music video, called ‘I Really Like You,’ features both Justin Bieber and Tom Hanks. The three–along with a large group of extras–danced on one of New York City’s streets on Monday, in an effort to film the music video.

    Just imagine having been near the Mondrian hotel on Monday, and watching not just Carly Rae Jepsen, but Justin Bieber and Tom Hanks, too, all dancing down the street. It was no doubt a sight that led to many questions, but was certainly one to behold as well.

    Carly Rae Jepsen was thrilled with how the day turned out. She shared her excitement with her Twitter followers.

    Justin Bieber replied to her tweet as well.

    A little while later, she shared another tweet that featured a scene from their dressing room.

    Most everyone knows how Carly Rae Jepsen managed to get Justin Bieber to perform for her music video. He was instrumental in her launch into the music world. But how does someone like Carly Rae Jepsen get a Hollywood A-lister like Tom Hanks?

    Scooter Braun is both Carly Rae Jepsen and Justin Bieber’s manager. And guess who attended Scooter Braun’s wedding a few months ago? That’s right. Tom Hanks. Of course Justin and Carly Rae were there, too.

  • Justin Bieber Wanted for Questioning in Argentina

    Justin Bieber is wanted in Argentina for questioning. He has been accused of sending bodyguards to attack a member of the paparazzi outside of a nightclub in Buenos Aires. The alleged attack took place during a South American tour in 2013.

    The Huffington Post reports that Judge Facundo Cubas asked Interpol to notify Justin Bieber that he has 60 days to appear before an Argentinian court. If he fails to comply, it’s likely an international arrest order will be issued by the government.

    Argentine photographer Diego Pesoa claims he was beaten after being chased down by Justin Bieber’s bodyguards back on November 9, 2013. The singer and his entourage were partying at the INK nightclub at the time of the assault, which took place just outside the club.

    If Justin Bieber were to be convicted for such a crime, he could face up to a year in an Argentinian prison. That would certainly throw a wrench in his attempts to make things good with Selena Gomez–wouldn’t it? Of course the fact that he unfriended the ‘Come & Get It’ singer on Instagram probably doesn’t help his case (the romance one) any either. Still, everyone knows Justin loves Selena Gomez. He just has to grow up and stop doing stupid things–like constantly hanging out with Kendall Jenner when Selena isn’t around.

    What kind of legal team do you suppose Justin’s manager Scooter Braun is scrambling to put together right now? Surely they won’t want to send Justin back to Argentina for fear he won’t be able to leave the country. Things don’t work in South American countries the way they do here in the U.S. It’s not always a case of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ down there.

    The pastor of New York City’s Hillsong Church–Carl Lentz–is praying for Justin Bieber.

    “I have a special role in Justin’s life, spiritually, but … I’m not a life-motivational guy,” Pastor Lentz says. “We’re talking about making sure his life remains a blessing, not a burden.”

    Hopefully lots more people are praying for Justin Bieber right now, too. It sounds like he’s going to need all the help he can get to worm himself out of this legal situation in Argentina.

After all, Bruce Jenner is supposedly dating one of her best friends. He is reportedly dating Ronda Kamihira–a former neighbor of the Jenner’s, and former close friend to Kris.

    At least Bruce Jenner isn’t robbing the cradle in his foray into the dating world. Do you suppose Corey Gamble is merely Kris Jenner’s boy toy or do you think she plans on keeping him around for a while?

  • Tom Hanks Parties With Justin Bieber

    Apparently Scooter Braun’s wedding was the wedding of the century and had everyone partying, even Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber.

    Hanks and Bieber were not the only two celebrities to witness Bieber’s manager’s nuptials, but it was Hanks who stole the show with his timeless dance moves.

    As caught on camera by Bieber himself, Hanks is seen wearing a yarmulke on his head, dancing to Montell Jordan’s 1995 hit, “This Is How We Do It.”

    Bieber uploaded the video of Hanks singing and dancing to his personal Instagram account and captioned the video by saying, “Haha Tom Hanks singing “This Is How we do it” dressed like a Rabbi lol #thatdancetho.”

    Braun said “I do” to his longtime girlfriend, cancer prevention activist Yael Cohen, in Canada on Sunday, July 6. Braun requested that Bieber serenade him and his new wife with the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” during their ceremony.

    Other notable guests included Ed Sheeran, Sophia Bush, Hanks’ wife Rita Wilson, and Carly Rae Jepsen, who joined Bieber in a rendition of “Call Me Maybe.”

    Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun and cancer activist Yael Cohen tied the knot in Canada last weekend.

    On Friday Braun tweeted, “Going to be an epic weekend. Happy 4th!” After the wedding Bieber posted a message for the couple on Instagram saying, “can’t believe Scooter found someone that puts up with his bs 😉 love you guys.”

    The ceremony took place in Whistler and several celebrities attended including Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson, Ed Sheeran, and Sophia Bush.

    Bieber serenaded the newlyweds with The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love,” as they shared a kiss in front of family and friends. However, that was just the beginning. Bieber, who was dressed in a black suit with a matching hat, also sang “Call Me Maybe” with singer Carly Rae Jepsen.

    The two singers weren’t the only ones having fun during the reception. Bieber also posted a video of actor Tom Hanks on Instagram dancing to the tune of Montell Jordan’s classic hit “This Is How We Do It.”

    Bieber posted another picture on Instagram with Sheeran with the caption, “@edsheeran is one of the only people on my iPod.”

    Asher Roth and Ed Sheeran also went up on stage and did their own rendition of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity.” Who needs a wedding band when you have chart-topping singers as your wedding guests, right?

    Braun and Cohen have been dating since 2013, and while there was no announcement on when they were engaged, Cohen posted a “yes” neon sign on her Instagram in January saying, “Been terrible at posting over the last week, feel like this sums it up nicely.”

    Braun, 33, is a talent manager who represents Bieber, Jepsen, Psy, and The Wanted. He also owns two record labels – Raymond-Braun Media Group (RBMG) and School Boy Records. Canadian-native Cohen, is the CEO and founder of F**k Cancer, a health organization dedicated to working for prevention and early detection of cancer.

    Carly Rae Jepsen and Justin Bieber can now both claim ‘wedding singer’ on their musical resumes. The two sang for Scooter Braun’s wedding to Yael Cohen on Sunday. Braun serves as manager to both Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen.

    Jepsen and Bieber sang her summer 2012 hit song “Call Me Maybe” at the wedding reception, Justin Bieber also sang the classic Beatles tune ‘All You Need is Love’ as Scooter Braun kissed his bride.

    In addition to Carly Rae Jepsen and Justin Bieber, other celebrity wedding guests included Ed Sheeran, Sophia Bush, Tom Hanks, and Rita Wilson–to name just a few. The couple said “I do” in Canada, so guests like Ed Sheeran flew in from afar for the big day.

    Yael Cohen called Sunday–her wedding day–the best day of her life.

    It seems Tom Hanks competed a bit with Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen later in the evening as he took the mic and sang along to “This Is How We Do It” by Montell Jordan.

    Despite all the ‘stellar’ performances at the wedding and reception, it’s likely that Scooter Braun was most pleased by the collaboration of Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen. Not only does he manage them–they’ve likely made him a bundle of money, too. On top of that they provided free entertainment at his wedding and reception.

    Yael Cohen is the founder of the nonprofit called ‘F–k Cancer.’ She and Scooter Braun got engaged back in January.

    Justin Bieber posted an Instagram photo of himself with the beautiful bride. He captioned it, “Congrats Yael 😉 u looked like a princess last night. And damn I can’t believe Scooter found someone that puts up with his bs 😉 love you guys.”

    Ariana Grande, the star of Disney’s Sam and Cat, suffered an injury over the weekend. Apparently, while hanging out with her friends, Grande slipped and fell, breaking three of her toes.

    On Monday morning, Grande texted her manager Scooter Braun, telling him about the accident. He posted a screenshot of the text that Grande had sent him to his Instagram account.

    “Had a party last night and in front of a lot of people I slipped on a huge surprise pile of Ophelia [urine], slammed into a wall and broke 3 toes,” she wrote. “Have a nice day.” He replied by saying, “This is the kind of text that gets me pumped up for the new week. Thank you.”

    Grande rose to fame on Disney’s Victorious, and has since been playing the part of Cat on the spin-off Sam and Cat, alongside Jennette McCurdy, who plays the part of Sam. Along with her acting career, Grande has a blossoming singing career, and will be releasing her sophomore album sometime this year. She released her first album Yours Truly in 2013 which reached number seven on the Official Album Chart.

    Grande took to Twitter, later on Monday, telling her fans that she “had the best weekend I’ve had in forever minus my minor foot injury lol.”

    Ariana Grande broke out her ballet slippers to teach Chris Brown a thing or two. The two have been teasing music and lyrics back and forth via Twitter for a while now, causing fans to wonder what on earth is going on between the most unlikely pair.

    Pretty much everyone knows by now that Grande and Brown are collaborating on something big–and it will likely result in a music video, given the recent hints the two have been dropping.

    Ariana Grande’s manager Scooter Braun (yes, the very same Scooter Braun who also manages Justin Bieber) hinted recently about something big going on for Grande–calling it a ‘duet.’ Was he referring to Chris Brown?

    Ariana Grande recently admitted that she loved getting back to ballet but that after years away from practicing, she was definitely feeling some pain.

    Grande tweeted about that pain to her many fans.

    She then tweeted about her previous tweet, and it was easy to tell how tired the Sam and Cat star was.

    It was Chris Brown, however, who let the world in on the biggest glimpse of what he has going on with Ariana Grande, when he posted the following Instagram photo of the two of them together.

    Brown captioned the photo very simply. It read ‘Coming soon!’

    Ariana’s first big hit is called Yours Truly and it quickly rose to the top of the charts following its debut in September. Chris Brown, of course, has been linked with Rihanna, but is now dating model Karrueche Tran.

    Can you imagine Ariana Grande and Chris Brown doing ballet–or anything else for that matter–together? Stranger things have happened….

    Justin Bieber’s Manager, Who Was Arrested for Not Tweeting, Strikes Plea Deal

    Remember when Justin Bieber’s manager was arrested for not tweeting quickly enough? Let me refresh your memory. Back in November of 2009, Bieber was scheduled to have an autograph signing in a Long Island mall. About three times more people than expected showed up, creating what authorities deemed to be an unsafe environment.

    A record label exec, who was involved in the organization of the event, was arrested for not tweeting (a would-be crowd control attempt), upon police orders to do so. Newsday quoted one of the cops involved as saying, “”We asked for his help in getting the crowd to go away by sending out a Twitter message…By not cooperating with us we feel he put lives in danger and the public at risk.” 

    The whole thing raised an interesting debate about whether or not police have the authority to make people tweet. In March 2010, Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, turned himself over to authorities on two misdemeanor charges – reckless endangerment and obstruction of governmental administration, based on accusations, that he failed to tweet himself, in a timely enough fashion.

    We talked to Braun’s lawyer in March, as they were awaiting arraignment. “I think that public safety is job number one, not only for police, but for district attorneys, entertainers, and managers of entertainers…” he told us.

    Now, according to reports, Braun has struck a deal with prosecutors, which would see Bieber’s label (Island Def Jam) plead guilty and pay $8,000 to cover crowd control costs. According to TMZ, Bieber also agreed to star in a public service announcement about cyber bullying for schools in the area.
