  • Lindsay Lohan: What We Want To Read In Her Bio

Recently details emerged that troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan may have at last found a profitable avenue for her drama-filled life.

Reports indicate that Lohan has met with several publishing houses about the possibility of putting together a “tell-all” book about her life.

If true, this could be one of the most hotly anticipated autobiographies in recent years.

The 28-year-old, who has been proudly showing off her body quite a bit this summer, seems to have packed quite a lifetime of scandal and controversy into a relatively short period of time.

Since hitting adulthood, the Mean Girls star went from being the toast of young Hollywood to becoming yet another destroyed child star.

Unlike many such stars, Lohan has yet to fade into anonymous obscurity.

In fact, Lohan’s troubles have kept her in the headlines long after her starring roles failed to provide the same service.

As such, there are certain stories that fans and non-fans alike would probably want to read more about in the autobiography.

Will She Give Rehab Another Go?

Lohan has been in and out of rehab programs over the past several years, largely as a condition related to criminal charges.

It’s no secret that Lohan’s partying lifestyle has had a negative impact on her career and even on her youthful looks.

Many onlookers wonder what would it take for Lohan to once and for all buckle down and gain control of her life and image.

Just How Long Is That List?

A list of men that Lohan bedded back in the day found its way to the media and caused a mini uproar.

While Lohan has admitted that the list is legitimate, it’s noted that not all names have been released. It could be that what we saw isn’t even half of the famous or powerful men that Lohan has hooked up with over the years!

Will Lohan spill all the juicy details?

Did Her Court Drama Help Her At All?

Lohan was very lucky to avoid jail time over her law-breaking shenanigans, although the possibility of facing serious consequences for her actions visibly shook the young star at one point.

Although questions remain about her current sobriety, it seems that Lohan is otherwise staying out of trouble.

The court nightmare might have helped Lohan get her priorities straight.

  • Lionel Messi: Is He Going To Jail?

This is one of those scandals that is yet another reminder as to why it’s never wise to put any sports athlete on a pedestal.

Just ask fans of Lance Armstrong or Oscar Pistorius.

Though Lionel Messi was not busted doping and thankfully hasn’t killed his girlfriend, the FC Barcelona player has become mired in a scandal that is distasteful in its own way.

Tax evasion in a world where the common man is struggling, but at least trying to pay his taxes, is an instant means of earning public contempt and inciting the wrath of the government.

Could this sentiment be why a Spanish court has decided to move forward with prosecuting Messi for evading payment of taxes?

The prosecutors in the case seemed ready to bury the hatchet. After all, after being busted for non-payment of taxes, the 27-year-old has since settled his tax issues by agreeing to pay €15 million or $19,546,500 USD.

The gesture might be too little too late in the eyes of the Spanish court, who could be looking to make an example of the athlete.

After all, it’s highly possible that the FC Barcelona forward isn’t the only wealthy individual and or celebrity going out of his way to avoid paying his taxes in Spain.

Will Messi have to pay further financial penalties? We could be talking even more millions down the drain.

Will he be booted out of Spain? Despite Messi’s familial connection to Barcelona, he is an Argentinian national.

The most severe penalty, the one that is MOST heavily speculated about, is whether or not the football star’s antics will land him in jail.

While jail time is always a possibility for this type of crime, Messi’s fame and overall wealth makes one skeptical about this specific outcome.

It’s quite possible that the matter will be a lot of huff and puff for the sake of scaring other wealthy citizens within Spain out of even thinking about skipping out on paying taxes.

  • Portia De Rossi Finds Herself In Another ‘Scandal’; Finally, Some Good News

After completing a thirty-day rehab program for drug and alcohol use, Portia de Rossi is now back in couple’s therapy with wife Ellen DeGeneres in an attempt to mend their relationship.

The couple has been going through marital difficulties, with reports of ugly fights and awful exchanges being a common scene in the home they share. There was even talk of DeGeneres cheating on de Rossi and threats of divorce.

The scandal caused de Rossi to take to alcohol to deal with being “unhappy.” She was reportedly not just drinking excessively, but also abusing prescription drugs. In one of their arguments, she is said to have blamed DeGeneres for her drinking, claiming DeGeneres drove her to drink because of her controlling ways.

In spite of it all, the couple is clearly taking steps at working this out together. De Rossi checked herself into rehab at the Passages in Malibu in May to get treatment. DeGeneres was seen in the rehab facility giving support to her wife for all the weekends she was in treatment. DeGeneres herself has also reportedly quit drinking to help her wife through this hump.

De Rossi is now out of rehab and is looking forward to being part of season four of Scandal, starring Kerry Washington. According to her publicist, de Rossi will join the cast for a secret story arc and is set to star in multiple episodes. However, DeGeneres broke the news by bragging on Twitter about her wife’s new acting role. DeGeneres tweeted: “So annoying when people brag on twitter & that’s why I’m not tweeting that Portia just signed on to do a top secret arc on “Scandal”. Oops.”

De Rossi’s new acting role is finally bringing her some positive press. Fans can watch her in Scandal when the season premieres on Thursday, Sepember 25, at 9 p.m. on ABC.

  • Meagan Good Won’t Replace Kerry Washington on Scandal: It Was Just a Hoax

Relax Scandal fans: Meagan Good won’t be replacing Kerry Washington on the hit ABC political drama after all.

The website Cream BMP Daily caused a stir recently when it reported that Good (Anchorman 2, Think Like a Man) would replace Washington after the Scandal star refused to accept a pay decrease set forth to offset rising production costs.

The website, whose About page says it’s “comprised of satire and parody of current news and urban culture,” included a fictitious quote from Scandal showrunner Shonda Rhimes:

“Let’s be honest $300,000 per episode is not like we were putting her in the poor house.”

Supposedly Rhimes said of Good: “Where Meagan lacks in acting she makes up in sex-appeal so we believe she’ll bring a larger male demographic to an already female driven show.”

Scandal fans turned to social media to declare their outrage before learning the article was just a hoax.

The series, which debuted in April 2012, boasts a strong following. Fans are currently awaiting the September 25 premiere of season four.

Rhimes recently revealed that she knows when the series will end:

“I’ve already decided when Scandal is ending. I think there’s only so much Scandal you can tell satisfactorily,” she said. “The Fitz-Liv thing can only be told so long and in such a way. It’s not a 10-season or eight-season show. I’ve already decided how long that is and what that’s going to be.”

Rhimes, whose impressive resume includes Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, has said fans will see even more of Washington in season four now that the show’s leading lady has given birth and they aren’t working around her pregnancy.

“… now that we have the ability to use Kerry the way we need to use her, it means we get to bring everything back to our core in a way that we had in season two and one,” Rhimes said. “… we’re very excited to get back to Olivia-centric storytelling.”

In more reliable and less satirical news, one cast member won’t be returning for season four.

In April Columbus Short, who plays Harrison Wright on the show, announced his exit from the show:

“At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for three years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today. I would like to first thank Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast … Thank you … to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast …”

According to Rhimes, Short’s “absence will be explained definitively. What you think happened to his character happened to his character.”

And while Meagan Good won’t be joining the cast, we know of at least one person who will. Ellen Degeneres posted a tweet earlier today alluding to the fact that her wife Portia de Rossi (Arrested Development, Ally McBeal, Nip/Tuck) will guest star in the upcoming season:

  • Brenda Song Goes Shopping with Mom and Younger Brother

Brenda Song Goes Shopping with Mom and Younger Brother

Brenda Song was recently spotted shopping in Los Angeles with her mom Mai and younger brother Nathan.

The trio hit a mall in the trendy Woodland Hills neighborhood on Friday. Onlookers said Song and her mother bought beauty products at the MAC store.

Song, 26, appears close to her family, with photos of them peppered throughout her Instagram feed.

The actress was born in the Sacramento, CA suburb of Carmichael. Her parents met in Sacramento, but were both born in Asia.

Her father is Hmong and was raised in a tribe that traveled the mountains of Thailand and Laos. Song’s mother was born Thai, but adopted into a Hmong family.

Song has said that her father insisted that she and younger brothers Timmy and Nathan speak Hmong growing up so they could communicate with their grandparents and retain a piece of Hmong culture.

Song’s favorite part of that culture is the food:

“There’s a chicken drumstick dish where they stuff it with noodles … It’s my favorite dish.”

Song’s father was in the military and at one point the family lived on an army base in Germany. They traveled extensively throughout Europe while he was stationed there. Song did professional theater on the American base.

When the family returned stateside, she told her mother she wanted to become a full time actress.

“My imagination, as a child, was huge,” she recalls. “It’s all I wanted to do.”

Song landed her first big role in Disney’s The Suite Life of Zach and Cody. After appearing in every episode of the show’s three-season run, she moved on to the spin-off The Suite Life on Deck, which also ran three seasons, from 2008 to 2011.

From there Song went on to appear in more grown up roles on series such as New Girl and Scandal. In 2013 and 2014 she starred in Fox’s sitcom Dads opposite Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi. In May the network announced it had canceled the show after just one season.

  • Kerry Washington Hits Red Carpet Post-Baby at BET Awards

Kerry Washington stepped out on the red carpet Sunday night for the BET Awards in Los Angeles.

The event marked Washington’s first live television appearance since giving birth to daughter Isabelle Amarachi on April 21. The child is the first for both Washington and her husband, former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

Observers said Washington looked “slim, fit, and healthy” in a brightly-colored floral strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress, white Jimmy Choo pumps, and the bare minimum of jewelry.

Washington was nominated for a Best Actress award this year alongside Angela Bassett (Black Nativity, American Horror Story,) Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave,) Gabrielle Union (Being Mary Jane,) and Oprah Winfrey (The Butler.) Lupita Nyong’o won.

Washington won the BET Best Actress award in 2013.

Washington, 37, and Asomugha, 32, married in a small, private ceremony in Hailey, Idaho in June 2013. The notoriously private couple managed to keep the wedding secret for over a week.

The couple kept their daughter’s birth from hitting the news for an impressive 11 days following her birth.

Washington began acting in 1994 and landed small television and film roles for the next few years, including parts in Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and The Last King of Scotland with James McAvoy and Forest Whitaker.

In 2012 she gained notoriety for her performance opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, and Christoph Waltz in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.

Also that year she landed the lead role in ABC’s hit series Scandal. Thanks to her role as Olivia Pope, Washington is now a household name. The term “gladiators” and the phrase “It’s handled” have become synonymous with the series and millions of viewers covet Olivia Pope’s wardrobe.

  • Scott Walker: White House Ambitions Threatened By Scandal

Is it just me or does every Republican White House hopeful seem to be in the midst of a political scandal at the moment?

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was accused by John Doe prosecutors of involvement in an alleged scheme to coordinate activities among multiple campaign organizations. This fact came to the attention of the public on Thursday after court documents were unsealed that mentioned the politician by name.

The released documents also revealed that motions were filed to suppress subpoenas issued against the the Wisconsin Club for Growth and Eric O’Keefe, the club’s director.

The group claims that the investigation into Walker and his allies’ campaign activities is “politically motivated”.

Special prosecutor Francis Schmitz responded by providing what he himself described as a “detailed summary” about the accusations against the Wisconsin governor and his allies.

Schmitz wrote that the “investigation focuses on a wide-ranging scheme to coordinate activities of several organizations with various candidate committees.”

The special prosecutor also emphasized that the accusations were based on facts rather than politics.

Alleigh Marre, spokeswoman for Walker’s campaign, has responded to media inquiries about the scandal by saying that judges have effectively halted the investigation into the embattled governor’s campaign activities.

    Marre issued the following statement:

The Friends of Scott Walker campaign are not party to the federal suit and have no control over any documents in that suit. Two judges have rejected the characterizations disclosed in those documents.

The investigation hit a snag in January when Reserve Judge Gregory Peterson sided with the accused. Peterson said that prosecutors lacked “probable cause” to demonstrate that “any violations of campaign finance laws” had occurred. The subpoenas were then voided and all seized properties were ordered to be returned.

U.S. District Judge Rudolph Randa denied motions to dismiss O’Keefe’s complaint in January.

Despite the rulings, attempts to investigate Walker for violating campaign laws are ongoing. This is something his opponents will no doubt routinely bring up should he consider making a run for president.

  • Kerry Washington Talks ‘Scandal’ During First Post-Baby Interivew

Kerry Washington gave her first interview this week since giving birth to her baby girl Isabelle, and the Scandal star used one particular word a couple of times to describe the life she’s living right now.

    Blessed.

A Twitter user asked Washington if it would be hard to leave her baby girl to go back to work. Isabelle was born just two months ago.

“So tricky because you know I don’t talk about this stuff, but I will say I feel really, really blessed,” she said.

“I just feel really blessed that I’m kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life,” she added.

Most of the remaining questions during the very private actress’s interview centered on her Scandal role of Olivia Pope and whether she is in love with President Fitzgerald Grant (played by Tony Goldwyn) or Jake Ballard (played by actor Scott Foley, Jake is the one she is seen boarding a plane with during the Season 3 finale).

“There’s no question about it, that she loves Fitz… but I think she’s also just trying to turn her life into a place that is not so upside-down,” Kerry said. “To create a healthy life for herself, where she can not feel like she’s stuck in a relationship with someone who can’t be with her. It’s a very, very complicated relationship and I think she’s trying to find more simplicity and healthy expressions of love and safety and sanity around her.”

    After a pause, Kerry continued.

“It’s tricky. Jake is a great guy, and Jake cares about her a lot and loves her. Neither man has treated her entirely well, so it’s tricky.”

In other words, Scandal fans won’t learn anything whatsoever about the upcoming season from Kerry Washington. As with her own life, she divulges little about the series that has made her a household name.

Kerry Washington looks positively amazing since giving birth to Isabelle in April. One would never guess she had a baby only a couple of months ago.

Although there isn’t yet an official air date for the first episode of Scandal Season 4, the show is expected to return some time this fall.

  • Justin Bieber Was Apparently Always A Douchebag

There are so many reasons to be annoyed with Justin Bieber’s entire existence, but leave it to the pop idol himself to add one more.

And boooooy is it a doozy!

London magazine The Sun got a hold of and recently released a video of Justin Bieber making racist jokes.

I don’t mean the sort of “you could argue he didn’t know any better” variety of racist humor. Oh no, Justin Bieber went for gold in the Idiot Olympics.

The obnoxious teen said to a friend (off screen),

“Why are black people afraid of chain saws?”

The person responds by trying to tell Bieber not to give the answer. Of course, the “Baby” singer elected to ignore the warning.

    The punchine?

    Chain saws sound like, ““Run n****er, n****er, n****er, n****er, n****er.”

It’s not confirmed, but some are saying the female laughter heard at the not-so-funny joke is none other than Bieber’s own mother.

If so, it’s absolute proof the apple never falls too far from the tree.

The first part of the video features a punchline to another “joke” about Father’s day and black people.

It must be said this proof enough that Bieber’s apparent evolution into an annoying douchebag was no evolution at all.

Instead, what we’ve witnessed is nothing more than the sound of the mask hitting the ground with a heavy thud.

Beneath the mask was someone who should have never been allowed to leave YouTube, let alone amass a following of impressionable youngsters.

His young fan base should by now be realizing Bieber was never someone worth their time and money. Of course, there are always those less intelligent and ignorant fangirls who will cling to their favorite artist no matter how sleezy he reveals himself to be.

To this group of fans I can only say this: Let him go.

As you grow and mature into adults who will disavow ever having been a fan of his, you’ll learn that there are far more important things in this world than standing up for tools like Justin Bieber.

If you can’t imagine life without being crooned at by the teen pop flavor of the moment, allow me to present you with Austin Mahone.

Bieber’s heartbroken fanbase, meet Austin Mahone.

Austin Mahone, meet Bieber’s heartbroken fanbase.

    You all play nice!

As for Bieber (and his inevitable and pathetic attempt to back pedal)…while I won’t sign any petitions, I won’t be sad if someone decides to send him back across the border in a Fedex package.

  • Hayden Panettiere Pregnant: What Does It Mean for Nashville Season 3?

Hayden Panettiere is reportedly pregnant with her first child.

On Wednesday, US Weekly broke the news that Panettiere and fiancé Wladimir Klitschko are expecting a baby, quoting a source as saying that “Hayden is totally pregnant!”

Panettiere hasn’t confirmed the report, which comes as no surprise given the fact that she took her time when it came to announcing her engagement to Klitschko.

In April Panettiere told Parade that she and Klitschko, a heavyweight professional boxer, were postponing their wedding because of the unrest in his native country of Ukraine:

“Everything that’s happening in Ukraine definitely put a hold on things. But we have time.”

If the pregnancy reports are true, the couple didn’t apply the same “hold” to having a child that they did to the wedding ceremony.

And it’s left Nashville fans wondering how the show, which ABC recently renewed for a third season, will handle Panettiere’s pregnancy.

An obvious option is for show runners to write the pregnancy into the script.

Season 2 ended with Panettiere’s character Juliette Barnes essentially ruining her relationship with Avery (Jonathan Jackson) by hooking up with record label executive Jeff Fordham (Oliver Hudson.)

So would the baby be Avery’s or Jeff’s?

As Zap It points out, Nashville is basically a nighttime soap opera. In keeping with the standards of that genre, the show could sensationalize Juliette’s dalliance with Jeff by having the paternity of her child be in question.

From there, adoption would be a feasible option, since most viewers would agree that Juliette isn’t exactly mama material at this point on the show.

Or Avery could forgive Juliette, marry her, and raise the baby with her regardless of who the father is.

Another option is for Juliette and Avery to take the more traditional marriage-first-pregnancy-second route.

And if the show runners decide not to write Panettiere’s pregnancy into the script?

First of all, Juliette could take a leave of absence from the show in the form of an extended vacation, rehab, or an international tour.

Or the show might follow in Scandal’s footsteps and attempt to hide the pregnancy by outfitting Panettiere in looser-fitting clothing (an option that would be rather out of character for Juliette) and strategically positioning her on set behind furniture, lamps, objets d’art, or extremely large purses.

  • Shonda Rhimes To Take Over Thursday Nights On ABC

It’s that time of the year again, upfronts in New York City, where television executives announce their fall primetime schedules for advertisers. It looks like it’s Shonda Rhimes’ world, and we’re just living in it.

The prolific showrunner and series drama creator will be taking over the valuable Thursday night time slots on ABC starting next fall.

ABC president Paul Lee said of Rhimes, “I call her the Charles Dickens of the 21st century. If Charles Dickens was black and a woman.”

ABC has a lot of catching up to do and are clearly banking on Rhimes to come through on a premium and valuable night from an advertising stand point. The network is expected to finish in fourth place amongst the major networks this season with advertisers in that ever so important demo of 18 to 49.

Rhimes and the alphabet network are hoping that How to Get Away With Murder will anchor the Thursday night time slot. The crime drama starring Viola Davis is described as, “A sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller about a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant, mysterious criminal defense professor. They become entangled in a murder plot and will shake the entire university and change the course of their lives.”

  • Monica Lewinsky Needs To Go Away

Why is anyone talking or caring about Monica Lewinsky right now?

The fact that Hillary Clinton, wife of former president Bill Clinton, may announce plans to try for the White House once more is not a good enough reason for a political relic to be garnering this much attention.

In 2008, hardly anyone cared about the scandal from the 1990s. Of course racial vs sexism in politics was what all the media outlets were gabbing about.

Who had time for the former mistress with so much other ammo was right there for news pundits?

Now is a bizarre time to break one’s silence.

Did she need everyone’s undivided attention with Barack not the star, but on his way out of Washington D.C.? Did a Beyonce lyric drive the infamous “other woman” out into the public eye?

    Again….who cares and why?

Following the George W. Bush presidency, what happened with her and the former president is hardly noteworthy in a post 9/11 and post gay marriage political world. A lot can change in a couple of decades, and the scandal barely qualifies as “old news” worth rehashing.

It’s also important to note that this is someone who will never be relevant in politics or any other field for any other reason than sleeping with a former president. This is her fate and her lot in life. That will be her footnote in the halls of history.

It may seem unfair that the Clintons remained married and the husband’s legacy is intact. Meanwhile Lewinsky can’t even give her full name no doubt without being asked if she’s THAT Monica Lewinsky.

However, let’s look at this logically for a moment.

The generation that was born at the height of the scandal likely do not remember or care about most of the parties involved. Hillary Clinton is known for her own political career to these voting youngsters far more so than as a wronged political wife.

She will move forward based on her political accomplishments. If Clinton is hindered, it will be because those political views and accomplishments are polarizing. Yes, sexism may play a role.

None of the relevant players today have anything to do with a Throwback-Thursday of a scandal. At least not anymore.

Now that Monica Lewinsky has set the record straight (albeit at a time no one needed or asked for such a thing), perhaps she can do what she should have done nearly twenty years ago: Change her name, dye her hair, leave the country and dare to get into a line of work that won’t bring her anywhere near the White House.

  • Yingluck Shinawatra Is Forced Out By Thai Court

Yingluck Shinawatra, who has been the target of several months of angry protest, has been forced out of office.

The 46-year-old politician was ordered to step down from her position as prime minister on Monday by the Constitutional Court.

The court ruled that Shinawatra was guilty of abusing her power when she transferred a senior civil servant to another position in 2011.

Said the court, “Transferring government officials must be done in accordance with moral principle.”

The act of transferring the individual was thought to benefit Shinawatra’s politically influential family, making it a violation of the Thai constitution.

Shinawatra was not the only political figure forced out by the court’s ruling. Nine other individuals were told to leave their Cabinet posts as well.

Nearly two dozen other Cabinet members were unaffected.

Two hours after the ruling was made, the embattled politician appeared on Thai television.

“We held true to the principles of honesty in running the country,” said Shinawatra.

In addition to denying the charges against her, Shinawatra emphasized that she was elected to her position and thanked her supporters.

While the ruling may satisfy anti-government protesters, it leaves the country in a strange place politically.

Many wonder if the July elections will take place as planned and who will fill in for the ousted prime minister. The February elections were disrupted by anti-government protesters and later invalidated by the courts.

Thai Commerce Minister Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisan has been appointed to act as caretaker prime minster for the time being.

Shinawatra is hated by the country’s wealthier citizens, who are at the heart of protests. At the same time she is adored by the poor rural citizens who make up the majority of Thailand.

Many onlookers feel that an election would only serve to keep the popular politician in power and prefer her to be forced out by the courts.

The Thai legal system has been noticeably more hostile to Shinawatra and her supporters versus her opponents. This has lead to accusations that the courts in Thailand are corrupt and biased.

  • Courteney Cox to David Letterman: No ‘Friends’ Reunion

Courteney Cox recently told David Letterman that a Friends reunion show is “not gonna happen.”

Cox appeared on The Late Show Monday night and Letterman asked the inevitable question: will there be a Friends reunion?

Cox said she can’t even get the six former cast members together for dinner due to conflicting schedules and the fact that they all live on opposite coasts now. If she hasn’t been able to accomplish that – and she claims to have been trying since the show went off air – how could a reunion show or movie happen?

Cox is still on the west coast, living in Malibu with her nine-year-old daughter Coco and boyfriend, Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid.

Cox has played Jules Cobb on Cougar Town since the series premiered in 2009. She’s also worked as a director on the show since 2012.

Former Friends star Jennifer Aniston has continued to be a household name in the years since the series ended in 2004, but what about the other cast members?

Matthew Perry is still involved in television. News broke in December that he would write, produce, and star in an Odd Couple reboot on CBS.

“Ever since seeing the movie The Odd Couple when I was 10 years old, it has been a dream for me to play Oscar Madison,” Perry said. “To be given the opportunity to develop a modern version of it for CBS has put a permanent smile across my face.”

Lisa Kudrow recently voiced a character in Lovesick Fool: Love in the Age of Like. The animated short co-stars Janeane Garofalo and Fred Willard. It’s written and directed by Dominic Polcino who is well-known for his work on Family Guy, King of the Hill, and The Simpsons.

Kudrow is also collaborating with Scandal’s Dan Bucatinsky and Dan Savage on the documentary series It Got Better, after having made a few guest appearances on Scandal herself in 2013.

Matt LeBlanc has starred as a fictional version of himself on the BBC/Showtime series Episodes since 2011. In 2012 he won a Golden Globe for the role.

Finally, David Schwimmer is voicing a character in The Penguins of Madagascar which is slated for a March 2015 release. Benedict Cumberbatch, John Malkovich, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Ben Stiller will also lend their voices to the film.

  • Teresa Giudice: The Homeless Housewife?

I think it’s safe to say that Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe are no longer living the American dream.

The couple went from toasting in the comfort of their multi-million dollar home to facing serious jail time for various forms of fraud.

In addition to Teresa leaving her kids behind and Joe possibly being deported, the Giudices are alleged to have yet something else to worry about: They may be losing that multi-million dollar home after all!

A source told gossip site RadarOnline that the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star and her man are barely scraping by. In order to make ends meet, the reality TV stars may have to sell their luxurious home.

“Teresa has hardly any income coming in because of her guilty plea in the federal fraud and conspiracy case,” the source told Radar.

Apparently the money made from her family’s appearance on RHONJ is the only thing keeping the Giudice clan from living in a cardboard box, or even worse…a New Jersey apartment!

The source added that Teresa Giudice’s “book sales have been very low” and that she “hasn’t been offered any gigs for paid promotional appearances.”

The Giudices do have some good fortune in all this. They allegedly only have to pay back a paltry $7,500 of the more than $13 million debt the couple accrued through questionable means.

It’s also possible they will only face a couple of years of jail rather than decades.

Though the scandal and criminal trial has virtually wiped out their luxurious lifestyle, things could be (and probably should be) much worse for the reality TV couple.

When it’s all over, they’ll have to try and make an honest living just like millions of other American households in a smaller home, possibly away from the limelight.

All things considered, it’s hard to feel terrible for these individuals.

Do you feel sorry for the RHONJ stars? Do you think they’ll lose their home? Comment below!

  • Tori Spelling Opens Up About Husband’s Affair

It’s never easy when your husband cheats on you, even less so when the entire world finds out about it.

In early December Dean McDermott reportedly cheated on his wife Tori Spelling with 28-year-old Emily Goodhand.

Spelling recently spoke exclusively with US Weekly, making it her first interview since the cheating scandal broke. Spelling shared what she’s been going through since McDermott confessed he had cheated on her and how their marriage has been since the scandal.

The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star and mother to Liam, 7, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 20 months, told US Weekly, “He was my soulmate, but he completely broke my heart. It makes you not trust anything that’s happened in your relationship.”

Late last month it was announced that Spelling and McDermott were going to be part of a docu-series that will follow them through couples counseling. The series will run in near-real time, following the couple after McDermott gets out of rehab. McDermott entered rehab earlier this year to address personal and health issues.

A press release describes the series as follows: “Tori has made the courageous decision to allow the audience to witness the most difficult and unpredictable period in her life. Intimate, raw, emotional and completely real, Tori will tell her story for the first time as it should be told — by her. Since viewers will be seeing events almost immediately after they occur, nobody knows how the drama will unfold — not Tori, not Dean — and only time will tell if Tori and Dean’s marriage survives.”

Not many on Twitter have sympathy for Spelling and the cheating scandal.

  • Charles Keating, Jr. Dies At Age 90

Charles Keating, Jr. Dies At Age 90

A key figure in the savings and loans scandal of the 1980s has died.

Charles H. Keating, Jr., died at age 90 on Monday at a hosipital in Phoenix. His death was confirmed by his son-in-law Bradley Boland and a family friend. The cause of death has yet to be released.

In 1984 Keating’s American Continental Corp., a Phoenix-based home construction company, bought Lincoln Savings & Loan. Within four years Lincoln Savings & Loan went from being worth $1.1 billion to $5.5 billion, but it turns out Keating’s company’s worth rose because investors had been defrauded.

Customers of Lincoln Savings & Loan had been duped into buying $200 million of unsecured “junk” bonds, which were worthless once the company went bankrupt.

In 1989 Lincoln Savings & Loan was seized and soon after Keating was convicted by the state and the federal government for defrauding investors. Keating spent only five years in prison after he agreed to a federal plea deal and his convictions were thrown out.

At the time the debacle was the costliest savings and loan failure, costing taxpayers $2.6 billion.

The reputations of five senators, dubbed the “Keating Five,” were also sullied by the collapse, including Republican U.S. Senator John McCain. The “Keating Five” were accused of negotiating for Keating to halt the investigation because Keating made large political donations to the senators. At the time Keating explained his donations, “One question, among many raised in recent weeks, had to do with whether my financial support in any way influenced several political figures to take up my cause. I want to say in the most forceful way I can: I certainly hope so.”

Keating quickly became the face of corporate greed.

Many on Twitter are making jokes about the financier’s death, while others aren’t exactly saying the nicest things about the late Mr. Keating.

  • Kerry Washington Wows and Talks ‘Scandal’

Kerry Washington makes pregnancy look good.

The Scandal star flaunted her gorgeous bump and bod at the Essence “Black Women in Hollywood” luncheon on February 27.

Washington shined in a vibrant blue silk Calvin Klein Collection dress. The loose and drapey garment hung off of one shoulder and looked comfy, yet glamorous at the same time. While accenting her bump, the dress also showed off the star’s still smokin’ body. She is expecting her first child this spring, with husband Nnamdi Asomugha.

She completed the look with a pair of black Jimmy Choo pumps and an Emm Cuo clutch.

Washington recently revealed that she was a bit nervous when asking Michelle Obama if she watched Scandal. After all, the steamy show does take place at the White House, and centers around Washington’s character, Olivia Pope, having an affair with the President of the United States.

And although Washington and the First Lady have been friends for a while, the two have never discussed the star’s show. However, Obama did reveal that not only has she seen the show, but she’s a fan, too.

In fact, Twitter is abuzz with its love of the show:

See the star in her glam get-up and talk about the show’s return, here:

In an interview, Mrs. Obama stated that she “binge watched” the show during a trip to Hawaii.

“I love Kerry Washington,” said the First Lady. “She is amazing, so it makes the show fun.”

Naturally, Washington was “super flattered and honored” to hear of the kind words.

As its name implies, Scandal is full of mischief, drama, and juicy content. Washington, who has received multiple award nominations for her role on the show, has alluded to even more nail-biting and jaw-dropping scenes and story lines in the future. She also promises that fans will be “on the edge of their seats.”

“It just keeps getting better and better,” Washington teased of the remaining episodes in Season 3. “It’s kind of nuts.”

  • Chris Christie: Does Evidence Suggests He Knew?

By now you may have heard that New Jersey governor Chris Christie is at the center of a fairly unique and bizarre scandal.

The matter began in September of last year with the lane closings that occurred on George Washington Bridge. The justification at the time is that it was done for a “traffic study”. This has yet to pan out and evidence has emerged that there was never a study to begin with and that the resulting traffic jams were orchestrated. The closings backed up traffic for hours, sometimes trapping school buses and emergency vehicles.

The traffic also directly impacted the town of Fort Lee, where traffic onto the bridge was frozen for days. Mayor Mark Sokolich, a Democrat, has even gone so far as to suggest that Christie used the phony study as a means to punish him for not backing his re-election efforts.

An email from Bridget Anne Kelly, Christie’s then-deputy chief of staff, implicated herself and Bill Baroni, former deputy executive director of the New Jersey Assembly Transportation Committee as appointed by Christie as responsible for the closures.

She wrote to him, “Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee”, to which Baroni responded, “Got it.”

Despite those closely connected to Christie being held responsible and ultimately fired from their positions, the New Jersey governor maintains that he had no knowledge of their plans or actions. However, there may be evidence that contradicts his claims.

Attorney Alan Zegas represents David Wildstein, Christie’s former ally at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Zegas claims that there is evidence that exists, but is seeking protection for his client before anything else is revealed.

Others believe that the actions of Christie and his aides suggests that he was also aware. He and others have invoked their 5th Amendment rights, or the right to not self-incriminate. This includes a resistance to cooperate with subpoenas for evidence.

As investigators continue digging, there is a possibility that a “smoking gun” could appear. And as Christie’s camp tightens up on the lack of cooperation, this seems to be highly likely.

  • Monica Lewinsky Scandal Still Haunting The Clintons

It seems like the Clintons just can’t get away from Monica Lewinsky. Although the affair between Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky allegedly occurred many years ago, Monica could cause some trouble for Hillary Clinton if she decides to run for president.

While most people will always remember the Monica Lewinsky scandal and Bill Clinton’s impeachment based on alleged acts of perjury and obstruction of justice related to the scandal, would anyone really hold that against Hillary?

It appears that Rand Paul may try to use the scandal to his advantage. The Democrats have claimed that the Republicans are waging a ‘war on women,” but Paul claims that this isn’t the case and that the Democrats are the ones who have a history of using women.

“One of the workplace laws and rules that I think are good is that bosses shouldn’t prey on young interns in their office. And I think really the media seems to have given President Clinton a pass on this,” Paul said.

“Someone who takes advantage of a young girl in their office? I mean, really. And then they have the gall to stand up and say, ‘Republicans are having a war on women’? So, yes, I think it’s a factor. No, it’s not Hillary’s fault,” he continued.

Although it is likely that the Lewinsky scandal will be used against Hillary Clinton, it may not hurt her chances of winning. Since the scandal occurred so long ago, most new voters and younger voters are not likely to remember it.

As Paul said himself, it is not Hillary’s fault that Bill and Monica chose to have an affair or that her husband chose to lie about it.

Do you think the Lewinsky scandal will be used against Hillary in the presidential election and do you think it will hurt her chances of winning?

  • Monica Lewinsky Scandal Referenced By Rand Paul

In an attempt to sling mud at potential Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Republican Senator Rand Paul has made references to the Bill Clinton affair that was the talk of the 1990s.

He accused the former president of “predatory behaviors” towards former White House intern Monica Lewinsky. He also expressed concern about what would happen if Clinton’s husband returned to the White House as, “First Spouse.”

“One of the workplace laws and rules that I think are good is that bosses shouldn’t prey on young interns in their office. And I think really the media seems to have given President Clinton a pass on this.”

    Really, Rand Paul?

Speaking as someone who grew up in the nineties and remembered that everywhere you looked there was discussion of the affair, I have to say that no, the media did not give him a pass.

Anyone who remembers that era of political history knows that’s all anyone talked about, especially news organizations. Why wouldn’t they? It was the biggest presidential scandal since Watergate!

What could have happened to make everyone seemingly “forget” how terrible that incident was?

Well, there were the two terms of George W. Bush, an expensive war in Iraq, a poorly handled Hurricane Katrina, and then we elected the first black president, Barack Obama with hopes he’d deal with that pesky recession that tanked the economy.

And “Obamacare”, that whole “Obamacare” debate.

So as you see, great deal can happen in twenty or so years, and clearly the Clintons are still together. Is it possible that Hillary Clinton being in the White House will result in a new round of sex scandals? I have no idea, but I will say that if Bill Clinton wanted to engage in questionable behavior, I doubt he’d need to be in Washington, D.C. to make it happen.

Regardless of why Rand Paul and his constituents somehow blame Hillary Clinton for what happened, it’s not yet even confirmed that she will seek a presidential term. It seems like a waste of a criticism that could have been used to address the relevant issues.

Or a chance to exercise the ability to not say anything at all if one does not have anything nice to say. Or anything of value for that matter.
