In an interview with Seacrest on Monday, Clarkson told the radio and Idol host that she was inspired by her dad, but also by her loving husband, Brandon Blackstock, who is the father of their 20-month-old daughter, River Rose.

“Watching my husband love on his daughter all the time, you know, go to her events and just be there and, like, be present is, like, hard to watch but beautiful to watch,” Clarkson told Seacrest. “I know that my kids are going to have that. Y’all are totally going to make me cry on this interview. I’m so glad you can’t see me.”

The 33-year-old American Idol alum, who is expecting their second child, realized just how much her absentee father affected her when she became a mother herself.

“I don’t even think I understood the gravity of [my relationship with my father] until I was pregnant with [River Rose],” she said. “I was like, ‘I cannot imagine not seeing this kid to his or her full potential and just seeing what she’s going to do, what she’s going to be like.’ … I don’t think I knew how much that affected me until writing [‘Piece By Piece’]. I definitely didn’t know how it would affect me like it does when I sing it live because that’s not fun. It’s awesome, but it’s kind of sad that so many relate to this song.”

Clarkson told Seacrest that she has forgiven her father and is “not angry” with him.

“I’m 33 years old, I’m a grown woman. But it’s more of that thing where you can try your hardest to salvage relationships — and I did — but at the end of the day, if you keep getting hurt by someone because they just don’t know how to properly love people, it’s just not worth it,” said Clarkson. “It’s not worth the strain in your heart and it starts to bleed into your other relationships and it becomes super dysfunctional.”

  • Kelly Clarkson Not As Big a Star As Carrie Underwood, Says Ryan Seacrest

Kelly Clarkson is not as big a star as Carrie Underwood. At least, that is the opinion of American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.

Both Clarkson and Underwood were discovered on the Idol, turning them into megastars.

When asked Tuesday on the Today show who he thought the biggest star to ever come out of Idol was, Seacrest answered without hesitation, “Carrie Underwood.”

When one of the Today show hosts mentioned Clarkson, Seacrest replied, “Kelly too, but, you know, I was just on New Year’s with Carrie, and she’s just a superstar. She really is. So I take Carrie.”

  • Lauren Silverman, Simon Cowell, and Son Asleep As Burglars Break Into London Home

Lauren Silverman, Simon Cowell, and their baby boy, Eric, were all asleep in their London home during the wee hours of Friday morning when burglars broke in.

The Guardian reports that Metropolitan police responded to a call for a burglary in progress. By the time they arrived at Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman’s home, the suspects were gone.

Missing in the incident are cash belonging to both parties and jewelry belonging to Lauren Silverman.

This isn’t the first time Simon Cowell has been the victim of a burglary either. Back in 2011, this same home was burglarized and a woman was found hiding inside a walk-in closet. She was armed with a brick when discovered.

“She had smashed her way in through the window and it was unclear how long she had been there or what she was doing,” a rep for Simon Cowell said at the time.

Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman will no doubt be traveling to L.A. with little Eric very soon. Ryan Seacrest said in a recent interview with E! News that all former American Idol judges will return for the final season of the show, set to air in January.

“We will have the former judges back,” Seacrest said. “The plan is to have all of them back. They’ve all considered it and I think are enthusiastic about coming back and saluting the show.”

Hopefully Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman hire some extra vigilant security people to guard their home while they’re in the U.S.

Can you imagine how frightening it must have been for Lauren Silverman and Simon Cowell to learn someone was inside their home while they were sleeping? This scenario could have ended with far more than cash and jewelry lost.

  • Gwen Stefani Admits Blake Shelton is “Hot,” Confirming Relationship With Fellow “Voice” Coach?

Did Gwen Stefani just confirm to Ryan Seacrest that she and Blake Shelton have a thing going on? Rumors have run rampant about the fellow “Voice” coaches since this season first aired.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert divorced in July. In August, Gwen Stefani announced that she and Gavin Rossdale were divorcing, too. That divorce was made final within the past couple of weeks.

While a guest on On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Gwen Stefani played coy–sort of.

“Who’s Blake?” she asked when Seacrest initiated the topic. “Ohh, the country guy.”

“I think that NBC did that. Two divorced people at the same time,” she continued.

Ryan Seacrest went for the direct approach next, asking Gwen Stefani point blank if the rumors about her and Blake Shelton are true.

“I’m not going to answer that right now, Ryan. I think I’ve given enough of myself this morning to you,” she said.

“But I think he’s hot, don’t you?” she added.

Gwen Stefani went on to admit that talking about her divorce with someone who recently went through a lot of the same things has been incredibly helpful.

“But to be super honest, it is kind of crazy we both went through the same thing at the same time,” she said.

Try as he did, Ryan Seacrest didn’t get Gwen Stefani to admit to anything other than her belief that Blake Shelton is hot.

“I don’t know anything right now,” she told him. “I’m living in the moment, you know what I’m saying? I’m actually so grateful just to feel so alive. Honestly, I’m feeling everything so much and that’s great. The sadness, the happiness, the extremes are really extreme right now.”

    Is Blake Shelton hot?

Is the No Doubt singer experiencing a special yearning for something new and exciting when the two are together?

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani would certainly make an intriguing couple. Do you expect this is nothing but a rumor that will die down once this season of The Voice is over?

  • Kellie Pickler Lands ‘Drama-Free, Family Friendly’ Reality Show

Kellie Pickler has landed her own reality show.

The country singer is not new to reality television. She began her career on American Idol and soon found herself showing off her dancing skills in Dancing With the Stars. So, it’s not surprising that Pickler would agree to a new CMT reality show about her marriage to songwriter-producer Kyle Jacobs.

What may be surprising is the show, I Love Kellie Pickler, is being touted as a drama-free, family friendly romp.

“You definitely have to set boundaries from the start with anything you do,” Pickler said of her new show. ”And keep things sacred for you and your marriage.”

Produced by Ryan Seacrest, the 13-episode series will premiere this Thursday at 10 p.m.

Unlike many other reality shows — anything Kardashian comes to mind — the series will not feature a designer lifestyle, nor will it feature the raucous, drunken carousing of CMT’s signature reality show, Party Down South.

Instead, Kellie Pickler and her husband, will offer fans a peek at their wholesome, family-oreinted lifestyle.

“We want to keep it light and positive,” Pickler told The Associated Press. “There’s enough darkness out in the world. And there’s enough negativity on television.”

“There’s no drama crazy,” Jacobs concurred, who has been married to Pickler for five years.

“No,” Pickler said. “Definitely not. There are no cat fights. We don’t have cats. … He’s allergic.”

The series follows the couple through a busy summer touring season, taking trips with friends and renewing their vows.

“People know what we do in front of the curtain,” Kellie Pickler said. “They know what we do onstage or what he does in the studio. This is about who we are when we clock out.”

Claire Danes looked hot in her chains, as they served as straps and accents on her sexy gown. Hugh Dancy wore a Ralph Lauren Black Label double-breasted black tuxedo.

Chatting with Ryan Seacrest on the Emmys red carpet, Claire Danes dished about her gown and her Homeland character, Carrie Mathison. She talked to Seacrest about her character shouldering the plot sans her partner in crime.

“It leapt off the rack, and it fit,” she said of her gown.

“I was working pretty hard,” Claire Danes said of her Homeland role. “It was an exciting shift, scary daunting to do it without my partner, Damian [Lewis]. It was rigorous but utterly worthwhile. I can’t quite believe my luck that I’m on a project that continues to challenge me and nourish me.”

Claire Danes was nominated for her Homeland role. She got the Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She lost out to Viola Davis for her role in How to Get Away With Murder.

Did you watch the 2015 Emmys on Sunday?

Didn’t you love Claire Danes in chains–as well as her handsome hubby on her arm?

Are you surprised she didn’t win an Emmy?

  • Jessica Biel Headlines Inaugural “Think It Up” Telecast Alongside Jennifer Garner, Justin Bieber, Gwyneth Paltrow, and More

Jessica Biel was just one of the Hollywood A-listers to headline the inaugural “Think It Up” telecast on Friday. She was joined by Jennifer Garner, Gwyneth Paltrow, Justin Bieber, and more for the fundraiser aimed to help both students and teachers throughout the U.S.

The event was kicked off by a performance by Justin Bieber of his new single, “What Do You Mean?” Ryan Seacrest, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, and others described their past school experiences.

It’s important for celebrities like Jessica Biel to support initiatives like “Think It Up.” It shows a concrete effort on behalf of the Entertainment Industry Foundation to create awareness of the plight of many school systems within the U.S.

“The national education initiative will seek to reframe the public discussion about education, create a culture of excitement about learning everywhere in America and build a sense of optimism about the potential of education in classrooms across the country.”

Jennifer Garner, Jessica Biel, and Gwyneth Paltrow are all parents. They have very important reasons to work to improve education.

Big Sean capped off the “Think It Up” telecast with a very moving performance of “One Man Can Change the World.”

One man certainly can’t do it all, but when one is combined with a wealth of celebrities including Seth Meyers, Jessica Biel, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Garner, and more–just think of the connections that might just open up to that one man. Students everywhere can benefit from these connections.

  • Julianne Hough, Brooks Laich Announce Engagement

Julianne Hough and her boyfriend Brooks Laich have announced their engagement. The Dancing With the Stars judge and the NHL pro revealed on Tuesday that they will spend the rest of their lives together.

It was via Instagram that Julianne Hough shared the exciting news.

“We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiancé #love,” she captioned the photo of herself in Laich’s arms–her arms and legs wrapped around him.

“I was not into it at first, but I learned so much about myself and why my relationships didn’t work that by the end I was on a high. I was seeing a couple people, but immediately [pretends to text guys], ‘You are nice, but this is going nowhere,’” she said. “The next day my Curve co-star introduced [Brooks Laich and me]. It couldn’t have been a better time. We’ve been open and honest from day one.”

  • Khloe Kardashian: We Were Doing Jell-O Shots At Grad Party, Not Drugs

Khloe Kardashian thinks it’s outrageous that people would say she was doing lines of cocaine at her sisters’ graduation party. It wasn’t coke. It was Jell-O shots.

“You guys will make up anything,” Khloe Kardashian tweeted. “No! No one was doing coke at a graduation party in broad day light with teenagers and 15 production cameras! We aren’t as wild as you want to believe. We were taking Jell-O shots though and you have to scrape the rim of the shot glass w ur finger to loosen up the jello in order 2 take it.

“Just say no to drugs kids! Drugs so not our style.”

Kendall and Kylie Jenner left high school — the kind of high school normal people go to — in order to focus on their modeling careers. They’ve been home-schooling for a while now. Last week, Kylie finally finished up. Kendall finished last year. So Ryan Seacrest, executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, threw the sisters a party.

Apparently, Khloe was also an honorary graduate at the party. She tweeted:

“No1 ever celebrated my grad so my mom finally surprised me & added me into Kendall and Kylie’s party!! 15 yrs later lol”

It does seem a little out of order for Khloe to tweet about having her own TV talk show before she tweeted about having a graduation party. Earlier in the week, Khloe was touting her new venture on the FYI channel, a talk show called “Kocktails With Khloe.”

“’Kocktails With Khloe’ is something I’m extremely proud of and I’m excited to execute it with my amazing partners, Pilgrim and FYI,” Khloe Kardashian said in a statement.

“I’m lucky that I’ve been able to invite fans into my life and home on a weekly basis and this show will give me an opportunity to continue todo that with new and exciting guests,” Khloe enthused.

Khloe will not only host the show. She is also one of the executive producers.

“Being an executive producer allows me the opportunity to create original content and I can’t wait to show my fans what we have in store on Kocktails with Khloe.”

  • Khloé Kardashian Shuts Down Rumors of Drugs at Sister Kylie Jenner’s Graduation Bash

    Khloé Kardashian is livid.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is furious over rumors that drugs were a part of Kylie Kardashian’s graduation bash and took to social media to shut those rumors down.

Khloé refuted the allegations via Twitter on Saturday, writing, “You guys will make up anything.”

“No! No one was doing coke at a graduation party in broad day light with teenagers and 15 production cameras,” she said, explaining that the man in the clip had simply taken a Jell-O shot.

“We aren’t as wild as you want to believe,” she said before adding, “Just say no to drugs kids! Drugs so not our style.”

The graduation celebration, which was held at Kris Jenner’s L.A. home, was hosted by Ryan Seacrest and included friends like Gigi Hadid and Khloé’s reported new boyfriend, NBA star James Harden.

Kylie, 17, thanked her mother for the party and for “making this experience as normal as possible” in an Instagram post on Thursday, along with a shot of herself in her cap and gown and showing off her freshly-inked, new diploma.

When a fan pointed out that Khloé was presented with her own cake at the party, the Khloé said it was because she never had a grad party of her own.

  • Scott Disick Could Still Make Millions From KUWTK, Even Split from Kourtney

Scott Disick is in the middle of a bit of an upheaval in his life. The self-proclaimed Lord Disick has had public battles with drinking, and he was very visibly laid low by the deaths of his parents not long ago.

But Disick always seemed to bounce back into everyone’s good favor with characteristic good humor and snark. This time, his girlfriend and mother of his children seems to think he has gone too far.

When Scott Disick was photographed with his old flame Chloe Bartoli cozying up in Monte Carlo, Kourtney Kardashian put him to the curb.

TMZ sources say Scott Disick keeps in touch with his kids regularly, which Kourtney encourages, but has not has not physically seen them in more than a month.

People reported that sources close to the family tell them that the whole Kardashian family is angry with Scott for missing Penelope Disick’s birthday. But, they report, “Kanye is furious, maybe the most furious of everyone. He’s saying that a real man doesn’t abandon his family like Scott is doing.”

While Kourtney’s family is rallying around her, and they say she is doing great, TMZ also reports that she has removed Scott’s name from the list of those allowed admittance to the gated community in which they lived.

Is there any chance that Kourtney and Scott might get back together? And what might this mean for Keeping Up with the Kardashians? Husbands and boyfriends have come and gone from the show. But Scott Disick was a fixture, appearing in the main show and spinoffs.

Show creator and executive producer Ryan Seacrest spoke to the Today show about the future of Scott Disick with KUWTK.

“The show is reality, so whatever happens, happens in real time,” Seacrest said. “But obviously you hate to see a split with the people that you know and the family that you know and love, so hopefully things can work out for the best for them. But never a dull moment in that world.”

Scott Disick was wealthy before he hooked up with a Kardashian. But TMZ sources report that he could still make money from KUWTK, as long as he consents to be filmed when they want to. This could happen even if he is not part of the core family unit, thanks to Disick’s contract with the show. Scott Disick reportedly makes about $4 million a year from the KUWTK franchise.

  • Chris Brown Says He Still Loves Kerreuche Tran

Chris Brown has gotten almost as much attention for his stormy love life as he has for his music. Then came the drama that is Chris Brown and Kerreuche Tran. Brown’s relationship with model Karrueche Tran has been marked by split-ups, public feuding, name-calling, reunions, re-splits, and countless arguments.

Chris Brown stopped by the studio to talk with the world’s oldest boy DJ recently. “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” hosted Brown on June 9, and Seacrest asked him point-blank about his recent feuds with Tran and the possibility of a future for the pair.

“I’m going to be honest and be a man about it and just take it one day at a time,” Chris Brown said. “I can’t promise anything and I can’t jump over the moon, but it takes time for all wounds [to heal]. I take full responsibility for my actions and things that I’ve done in the past. I feel like it’s just a time thing.”

Chris Brown fans want to know: Does he still love Kerreuche Tran?

“I’m not a hateful person,” Brown said. “Of course I still love her, but mentally right now, I think everything takes time. I just need to focus on being the best father I can be.”

That’s right, Chris Brown is a father. He also told Ryan Seacrest how having his daughter Royalty had affected his life. “There comes a time when people kind of have to grow up and become more of an adult and take on different responsibilities,” admitted Chris. “I think this was just a blessing in disguise with my daughter because I get a chance to look at her and teach her the right path and also be a father in my daughter’s life. Just to see a smile on her face – just to see the littlest things – is emotional for me, so I just love that aspect of being able to be a father now.”

  • ‘American Idol’ Ending With Season 15, Did ‘The Voice’ Cause Its Demise?

American Idol is coming to an end following its 15th season, which is scheduled to begin in January. Do you suppose The Voice played a role in its demise? The singing competition show was the first of its kind, and was initially met with a huge viewership. After NBC introduced The Voice, however, the ratings plummeted.

Us Weekly reports that Fox made the announcement Monday morning, May 11th, about American Idol’s cancellation.

American Idol will begin its 15th–and final–season this January on FOX,” the network wrote in a statement. “A season-long celebratory event, American Idol XV will feature host Ryan Seacrest and judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr., as they search for the final Idol superstar and pay tribute to the past 14 seasons of amazingly talented contestants and the millions of fans who tweeted, texted and championed their Idols.”

American Idol will have graced the airwaves and scoured through countless prospective star singers for 13 years when it ends its run. The only constant figure throughout its entire reign is Ryan Seacrest. During the show’s first season, he introduced judges Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson. That trio went on to work with Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres, Lopez, Steven Tyler, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Urban, and Connick, Jr. The trio of Lopez, Urban, and Connick, Jr. has been in place since 2014’s 13th season of American Idol.

Some major talent has come from American Idol throughout the years. Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson, and Kellie Pickler all competed on or won American Idol.

Are you disappointed to hear American Idol is coming to an end with its 15th season? Do you think The Voice , with judges Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Pharrell Wiliams, and Christina Aguilera is a better quality program? Might it have contributed to American Idol calling it quits?

  • Kellie Pickler and Hubby Cast in CMT Reality Show

Kellie Pickler and her husband Kyle Jacobs have been cast in an upcoming CMT reality show called I Love Kellie Pickler. Produced by Ryan Seacrest, the show will follow the lives of the former American Idol star and her songwriter husband. It is set to premiere in September.

Brian Philips is the CMT president. He says the network has long wanted to do a show with and about Kellie Pickler.

The ‘Red High Heels’ singer “has always been the object of our desire for a show,” he says. “She emanates a natural charisma; she entertains wherever she goes.”

Kellie Pickler says that I Love Kellie Pickler won’t focus on her music career, but rather her life with her husband.

“Most people that are familiar with me kind of know what I do,” she says. “This is more what goes on behind the curtain, not just in music but personally. We want to keep it upbeat, light and comical.”

Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs announced their new show on Thursday at the The Times Center in New York City. She described the show as being akin to a southern I Love Lucy.
