  • Miesha Tate Ain’t Ever Gonna Be Friends With Rival Ronda Rousey, UFC Champ Just Wants To Fight

Miesha Tate Ain’t Ever Gonna Be Friends With Rival Ronda Rousey, UFC Champ Just Wants To Fight

After Miesha Tate took on Holly Holm during UFC 196, bagging the Women’s Bantamweight championship, she revealed in a recent interview that she can’t wait to fight Ronda Rousey but expressed her unwillingness to be friends with her.

After being asked if she sees herself in the future being friends with Ronda Rousey, the new champion answered “hell no.” She even added that there won’t be anything missing in her life by not being chummy with her MMA rival.

She said, however, that she has a lot of respect for the Furious 7 star when it comes to her skills inside the ring. Yet Tate continued that she has no desire to be connected to Rousey even after their careers have ended.

The current champion added that she would like to have a match with the former Olympic bronze medalist soon. UFC President Dana White said in a statement that Ronda Rousey could start fighting again by October or November. However, Miesha Tate said that she wants to fight sooner than November.

Meanwhile, Holly Holm reportedly wants to avenge her loss from Miesha Tate but would still want to a rematch with Ronda Rousey.

The fight between Miesha Tate and Holly Holm was dubbed as one of the biggest upsets in UFC history. This was after Holm’s epic kick to the head left Rousey knocked out cold during UFC 193.

The current UFC women’s champion has lost to the once-undefeated Ronda Rousey twice now. However, with her victory over Holly Holm, Tate is eager to do battle Ronda Rousey for a third time.

It’s been reported that The Expendables actress would not do a rematch with Holly Holm in UFC 200 due to an upcoming movie role, but Rousey’s priorities may have changed now that Miesha Tate is the titleholder.

  • Ronda Rousey Shares Video Proof That She’s Healed From Holm Fight

Ronda Rousey posted a video this week showing fans proof beyond a doubt that she’s finally healed from her devastating match against Holly Holm last November, and it’s quickly making the rounds across the Web.

Rousey shared a clip of herself biting into an apple, calling it “breaking news” and saying that the ability to do so just occurred for the first time on Tuesday night.

“Here’s my breaking news — you ready? This just as of last night. No problem, I’m biting apples again. I’m pretty excited about this. That’s it,” Rousey said.

Biting into a piece of fruit wasn’t a random display of her hard work at healing up; she specifically said after the fight that it would be three to six months before she could eat an apple again due to the injuries she sustained when Holm kicked her in the face. And while she’s reportedly too busy working on her film career to get back in the ring right now, the development comes at a time when UFC officials are scurrying to figure out what her next move will be following Holm’s loss to Miesha Tate earlier this month.

Miesha Tate is champing at the bit to fight Ronda Rousey again; the two athletes have battled it out twice already with Rousey coming out the victor both times, and a rematch would be huge for the UFC, but Rousey is taking time off for a while and it’s unclear when she’ll be ready to come back.

“I’ve been ready for that for a long time…but I also know that Ronda is not slated to come back until November, and that’s kind of a long time to just sit and be idle…I don’t even know what she’s thinking right now. It seemed like her motivation to stick around was to have Travis Browne’s babies, so…I don’t know,” Miesha said recently.

Ronda Rousey told Ellen DeGeneres in a recent interview that she had suicidal thoughts after her loss to Holm, and that the only thing that kept her going at first was the thought of starting a family with her boyfriend, fighter Travis Browne. However, Ronda’s video proves that she’s on the mend physically, so if she’s back in a healthy frame of mind as well, Tate would be wise to step lightly.

  • Miesha Tate Considers Defending Her UFC Title Against Amanda Nunes Instead Of Ronda Rousey

It has not been long since Miesha “Cupcake” Tate won the UFC women’s bantamweight championship belt. Now, UFC officials and fighters are wondering who her next opponent will be.

Miesha Tate defeated Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm after choking Holms into submission during the fifth round. Will the next contender be Ronda Rousey, her rival in the ring?

UFC  bantamweight Bryan Caraway believes Rousey should have to “work her way”  to get a title fight with Tate, his longtime girlfriend.

“If we just keep the cycle of Ronda always in the mix, it’s not really fair for these other girls who put together a win streak and get pushed aside,” Caraway said to MMAjunkie.

Caraway  thinks the UFC should consider a Miesha Tate – Amanda Nunes match instead.

“Nunes is on a three-fight win streak and is looking super tough,” Caraway continued. “She finished Sara McMann. She absolutely deserves that.”

However, UFC Dana White has already decided to match the winner of this previous fight with Rousey. Betting lines had already favored Rousey in the upcoming fight although the match has not been confirmed.

Caraway said Tate should not fight Rousey right away but she should give Holm the rematch she deserves.

Miesha Tate has spoken about the issue via Fox Sports: “I am the champion, I definitely want to stay active, I want to defend my belt, I want to continue to prove myself so whatever we all sit down and deem as the best route to do that then I’m ready. I’m ready to take on all comers so I think that’s the champion’s job. I’ll stay ready so I don’t have to get ready.”

On the other hand, Holm is desperate to get the belt back. She has set a 3-1 record in UFC after defeating Rousey and Marion Reneau.

  • Miesha Tate Says Ronda Rousey Would Rather Have Travis Browne’s Babies Than Come Back To Fight

Miesha Tate sat down for an interview recently to talk about her win over Holly Holm last weekend, and she was asked about her desire to fight Ronda Rousey now that she’s on top. Tate didn’t pull any punches, saying that of course she’s interested, but the problem is that Rousey doesn’t seem very motivated.

“I’ve been ready for that for a long time…but I also know that Ronda is not slated to come back until November, and that’s kind of a long time to just sit and be idle…I don’t even know what she’s thinking right now. It seemed like her motivation to stick around was to have Travis Browne’s babies, so…I don’t know.”

Are those fightin’ words? Hard to say whether Rousey will taken them to heart, since they were her own words when she spoke in an interview about what she was feeling after she lost the belt. Ronda told Ellen DeGeneres that she had suicidal thoughts following her loss to Holm, and that what kept her going was her boyfriend and the thought of a future with him.

Ronda and Browne have long been rumored to be getting married, but Browne was hindered by the fact that he was still legally married to his ex until just recently. Now, rumors are floating around that they duo may elope soon, but Rousey hasn’t confirmed anything.

Tate and Rousey have fought twice before, with Rousey coming out the victor both times, and Tate has been eager to get back in the ring with her. Before the Rousey/Holm match, it didn’t look good for Miesha, but now, she says, Rousey is a “broken woman” who definitely has the disadvantage.

“What about Ronda’s mentality? I think Ronda is beating herself up over this. She’s obviously said that she’s so emotional to the point where she’s considering crazy things and it’s like this is a broken woman,” Tate said on The Jay Mohr Show.

  • Ronda Rousey Says She Has To “Get Back To Work” After Miesha Tate Takes Down Holly Holm

Ronda Rousey reportedly didn’t watch the shocking match between Miesha Tate and Holly Holm over the weekend, but she did keep in touch with UFC President Dana White during the fight and had a very telling response when White sent her a text to let her know who won.

“I text Ronda and she said ‘What happened?’ I said ‘Miesha just choked her unconscious’ and she said ‘Looks like I’ve got to get back to work,’” White said.

Rousey has been in the headlines quite a bit in recent months following a flurry of activity within the UFC world. After her own shocking defeat at the hands of Holly Holm last fall, the former champ disappeared from the spotlight for a bit to heal up and try to figure out where she was going next. Rousey told Ellen DeGeneres earlier this year that she had suffered suicidal thoughts after her first loss, wondering to herself what she was good for if she couldn’t win. The loss was made even tougher for Ronda when some of her “fans” turned on her and went for blood online, where they shared jokes, memes, and harsh words at her expense. Still, the athlete has garnered a loyal following, and many wondered what her next move would be. Would she come back to fight once she healed, or would she stay away after the trauma?

The answer is, of course, that Rousey is a fighter. Although rumors began to float around that she would fight Holm again in a rematch later this year, it looks like she’ll take a brief break to work on her film career–she’s doing a remake of Road House–and then hit the ring hard to prepare for a fight against Miesha Tate, who has been champing at the bit for another shot at Rousey.

The duo have fought twice previously, with Tate losing both times, and she has long been vocal about her desire to get another chance.

“I think that Ronda now will fight Miesha Tate for the title. That’s what’s going to happen. That’s what I said before this fight even happened. Whoever wins tonight will fight Ronda for the title,” Dana White said.

  • Ronda Rousey Will ‘Get Back To Work,’ Gets Title Shot With New UFC Champ Miesha Tate

It looks like Miesha Tate and longtime rival Ronda Rousey will be seeing each other again in the ring soon. UFC President Dana White confirmed Tate’s next opponent will be Rousey.

“I think that Ronda now will fight Miesha Tate for the title,” White stated on SportsCenter after UFC 196 in which Tate claimed the title from Holly Holm on Saturday via a rear-naked choke in the fifth round. “That’s what’s going to happen. That’s what I said before this fight even happened.”

White revealed that Rousey did not watch the fight but he had texted her Saturday’s UFC 196 result.

“I texted Ronda, and she said, ‘What happened?’ I said, ‘Miesha just choked her unconscious.’ And she said, ‘Well, it looks like I got to get back to work.’ I don’t know what that means – if that means acting or fighting,” White said.

Rousey and Tate’s rivalry began in 2011 when Ronda Rousey snatched the Strikeforce bantamweight title from Tate in March 2012. A rematch followed and Rousey won, defeating Tate by submission in the third round.

Tate had just made an amazing comeback in the UFC ring after she choked Holm “The Preacher’s Daughter” in the final minutes of the fifth round. Holm previously dethroned Rousey in UFC 193 in Australia with a kick on the head which put her to sleep. Holm won almost every round but got in trouble when Tate finished the fight with a rear-naked choke which rendered her unconscious.

Tate will either fight her rival, Rousey or give Holm a rematch, but for now, she just wants to enjoy her victory.

“The right move feels like drinking a Budweiser and eating cupcakes,” Miesha Tate told the press.

“… My job as the champion is to fight the next best person, so whoever that is, I’ll fight them,” she added.

  • Ronda Rousey’s Living Conditions Before Making It Big Were “Hellish”

Ronda Rousey’s Living Conditions Before Making It Big Were “Hellish”

Ronda Rousey has been filming her rise to stardom since 2011 for a documentary that will highlight what it was like for her to go from rags to riches called In Her Father’s Eyes.

Back in 2011, Ronda Rousey teamed up with filmmakers Gary Stretch, who is a former boxer, and Peter Antico, who is a stuntman, actor, and producer to begin filming what would become one of the greatest rises to stardom in the world of sports.

Ronda Rousey apparently lived in a dump in Venice, California when she began her journey.

In a clip of the upcoming documentary, they are filming that very house with a then-22-year-old Ronda Rousey.

Ronda Rousey jokes, “I’m surprised we didn’t invent a new strain of cholera.”

She adds, “They are tearing the house down right after we move out. As soon as we found out we were like, ‘Well who gives a s–t.’ It was already kind of hellish when I moved in. I didn’t make it this way.”

Ronda Rousey then shares, with a huge smile, that she’s moving to the beach.

One just can’t help but feel excited for Ronda Rousey in this clip, knowing all of the things she will accomplish from there.

However, Ronda Rousey’s mother, AnnMaria De Mars, thinks her daughter was happier back then. She explained that “it was different time for Ronda. She didn’t have a lot but she knew who her real friends were.”

She added, “People say that if you’re a beautiful woman no one ever tells you the truth and I think it is the same if you are wealthy. Back then she knew that if people wanted to hang out with her it was because they genuinely wanted to spend time with her. Not because they were leeches.”

  • Holly Holm Not Interested In Hollywood

Holly Holm will likely not be walking the red carpet anytime soon.

Holly Holm‘s famous adversary, Ronda Rousey, has dipped her feet in the pool and stayed a while.

Rousey appeared in blockbusters like Expendables 3, Entourage and Furious 7. She is also slated for the new Roadhouse.

While it’s still early in Holly Holm’s career, she has said she’s not interested in making movies. She is interested in fighting.

And Holly Holm says she’s definitely not in it for the money.

She said, “When you start fighting, you start in amateurs, you don’t get paid anything. You pay money out, because you’re not going to make it back.”

She added, “You have to pay for your camp, you have to pay for your gas, you put miles on your own car, you’re paying money out in the beginning. I try to have that same passion I had in the beginning.”

Holly Holm’s upcoming match with Miesha Tate is all about passion, not money. It doesn’t seem to matter to her that this is a huge payday waiting to be grabbed.

She said of her Tate match coming up on Saturday, “This is the next opportunity. My mind doesn’t function like, ‘If I wait for this, it will be more money.’ That’s just not how my brain functions. There’s never a dollar sign in my mind when I’m thinking about my fighting career. I want the passion.”

Well, the passion has been good to Holly Holm so far.

  • Holly Holm Willing To Oblige Cris Cyborg To A ‘Superfight’

Ever since Holly Holm defeated the heavy favorite Ronda Rousey in UFC 193, all of the big female fighters have expressed their desire to face off with the Albuquerque-born fighter.

Cristiane “Cris Cyborg” Justino is no different – late last year, she told TMZ that she now has her sights set on Holly Holm. Cyborg had previously been clamoring for a fight with Ronda Rousey, an opportunity that the latter passed up on.

Cyborg, who is Invicta FC’s reigning 145-pound featherweight champion, claimed that she was open to going down to 135 or 140 pounds just to fight the 29-year-old judoka. Rousey, on the other hand, argued that she should not have to move up to a higher weight class to fight Cyborg.

While it is no secret that Ronda Rousey has been the poster girl for the UFC during her lengthy reign as champion, the organization is no longer certain if Rousey is ready to face Holly Holm for a rematch at UFC 196.

But Holly Holm has been vocal about wanting to defend her title soon, as opposed to waiting for Rousey to recover. As a result, her camp and the UFC have agreed to arrange her first title defense match against Miesha Tate at UFC 196 on March 5th.

UFC fans still look forward to a Rousey-Holm rematch, but Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez is not too optimistic that it will ever take place. As a result, he proposed a match between his fighter and Cris Cyborg instead.

“That’s why I offered the [Cyborg] fight at 140,” said Fresquez to the Los Angeles Times. “We’d take that fight if Ronda needs more time to make up her mind.”

But since the UFC does not have a 145-pound women’s division, Cris Cyborg will have to pull down her weight to 135 or 140. UFC president Dana White has already refused to create a new division just for Cyborg’s natural weight class, so Cyborg will have to make adjustments if she wants a fight with Holly Holm to happen.

Holly Holm was also asked to comment on Ronda Rousey’s recent statement that she is “still undefeated” despite her devastating loss to Holm in UFC 193. In the video, Holm gave Rousey the benefit of the doubt and said that “maybe that’s something that’s coming out of her mouth that doesn’t really want to fully take in everything.”

  • Holly Holm Gives No Sympathy To Ronda Rousey For Wanting To Kill Herself After Losing UFC Fight

As expected, Holly Holm was expected to weigh in on Ronda Rousey’s recent TV appearance in which she detailed her struggles coping with her devastating loss in UFC 193.

The former champ had not spoken much about her defeat in public until last week, when she appeared as a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. After talking about her Swimsuit Illustrated cover, DeGeneres asked Rousey about the thoughts that were running through her mind immediately after getting knocked out by Holly Holm.

The 29-year-old judoka voice cracked and broke down in tears as she detailed feelings of dejection while she was at the hospital after the fight.

She also revealed thoughts of suicide following her defeat because she felt like she was “nothing.”

“I was, like, what am I anymore if I’m not this? And I was literally sitting there and, like, thinking about killing myself in that exact second and, like, I’m nothing,” said Rousey to DeGeneres.

Naturally, people wanted to hear what Holly Holm had to say about Rousey’s emotional confession. During a media event held on Monday in Los Angeles, the 34-year-old champ carefully chose her words as she addressed the issue.

“I don’t ever take anything like that lightly,” said Holm about Rousey’s suicidal comments. “It’s a serious subject. I’ve never been in that position, so I’m probably the worst person to give advice for that.”

At the same time, Holm also avoided coming off as being condescending or patronizing, which would have probably

“I definitely don’t want to sit here and say, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry,’ because I know for me, I (have) a competitive mind, and I’m confident that Ronda is the same, that you don’t really want sympathy from the one that created this,” added Holm, who is due to fight Miesha Tate UFC 196 on March 5 at Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • Miesha Tate, Holly Holm’s Next Contender, Weighs In On Rousey’s Suicide Remarks

Miesha Tate tried to offer possible clarification this week on Ronda Rousey’s suicide revelation on The Ellen Show last Tuesday.

Ronda Rousey was on Ellen when she decided to finally speak about her devastating and shocking loss to Holly Holm (who is scheduled to fight Miesha Tate in March) in last year’s UFC 193.

She said, “Honestly … I was sitting in the corner of the room and was like, ‘What am I anymore if I’m not this?’ I was literally sitting there thinking about killing myself.”

Miesha Tate, for one, thinks that Rousey didn’t literally mean she wanted to do herself in.

She said, “When [Rousey] says like, ‘Oh, I was, you know, considering suicide,’ I don’t necessarily think she meant like ‘Oh, I’m going to go home and, you know, actually do it,’ but it just feels like you want to die.”

As for Miesha Tate, were she in Rousey’s place, she might feel really low, but would never even think of ending her own life.

She added, “I’ve never considered taking my own life. For me, especially religiously, it is just never an option for me.”

  • Holly Holm On Ronda Rousey’s Suicidal Thoughts

Holly Holm isn’t showing a whole lot of sympathy for Ronda Rousey’s suicidal thoughts.

Earlier this week, Rousey appeared on Ellen to finally discuss her earth-shaking loss to Holly Holm in last year’s UFC 193.

Ronda Rousey shocked everyone when she revealed a moment of extreme weakness after Holly Holm knocked her out, stealing her championship title.

She said, “Honestly… I was, like, in the medical room, and I was down in the corner. I was sitting in the corner like, ‘What am I anymore if I’m not this?’”

She added, “And I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself. In that exact second I’m like, ‘I’m nothing, what do I do anymore? And no one gives a s–t about me anymore without this.’”

On Wednesday, Holly Holm responded to Rousey’s suicidal admission, though not in the way some may have thought.

She said, “There’s a lot of things around that. When I heard that she said that, for me it’s one of those things it’s like, ‘How do I respond to that?’”

She continued, “I don’t want to say I’m sorry because I think on a competitive level for me, if somebody was to say they’re sorry after, it’s like, ‘No, I’m a competitor.’ I’m not a charity case.”

She added, “I feel like that’s something the best thing is for me not to say anything at all. I don’t want to say that I’m glad that she felt that way and I don’t want to say, ‘Oh I’m so sorry.’ It’s something I think that you have to dig through on your own. In the long run, she’ll be stronger mentally from it.”

Wow, Holly Holm’s toughness extends beyond the ring doesn’t it?

  • Travis Browne Caused Ronda Rousey To Rethink Suicide

Travis Browne and Ronda Rousey clearly have a strong bond, but no one could have guessed that it was this strong.

On Tuesday’s episode of Ellen, Ronda Rousey admitted that the sight of Travis Browne pulled her back from the edge.

Rousey was talking with Ellen about her shocking defeat to Holly Holm in last year’s UFC 193 championship fight and her feelings after losing.

She said, “Honestly, my thought I was like, in the medical room and I was like down in the corner and I was sitting in the corner like, ‘What am I any more if I’m not this?’”

She continued, “And I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself and that exact second I’m like, ‘I’m nothing, what do I do any more and no one gives a sh*t about me any more without this.’”

She added, “I looked up and I saw my man Travis [Browne] was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, ‘I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.’ I was like — really, that was it.”

Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne have been together for less than a year, but things seem to be serious between the two of them.

Holly Holm is still riding high after her shocking victory over MMA champion Ronda Rousey last year.

In fact, Holly Holm is already training for a highly-publicized match against Meisha Tate in March and if she wins, she’ll be facing Ronda Rousey again in November.

Last month, Holly Holm said she was ready to move on with her career and wasn’t concerned about Ronda Rousey’s career at all.

Holly Holm said, “For me I want to keep fighting and if Ronda wants to come back and that’s her passion — great. If she wants to stay in movies — great.”

She added, “I think that I would rather meet someone in the cage when they’re passionate about it. I don’t want it to be because they feel like they have to or it’s expected or other people are curious about it. It’s Ronda’s life, I want her to do what she wants to do.”

What Rhonda wants to do is beat Holly Holm and set things right. That’s what she said on Tuesday’s episode of Ellen, anyway.

It seems her spirits have lightened since being defeated by Holly Holm. Directly after the match, she wasn’t so sure of anything.

She told Ellen, “In the medical room, I was down in the corner, I was sitting in the corner and I was like, ‘What am I anymore if I’m not this?’”

  • Ashley Graham, Size 16 Body Activist and Fashion Model, Makes History With “Sports Illustrated” Swimsuit Edition Cover

Ashley Graham, a size 16 body activist and fashion model, made history this weekend when she learned she landed one of three covers of this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

Graham learned the exciting news at the cover reveal on Saturday night.

“I thought Sports Illustrated was taking a risk by putting a girl my size in the pages,” Ashley Graham said. “But putting me on the cover? They aren’t just breaking barriers; they are the standard now. This is beyond epic.”

The model credits Sports Illustrated swimsuit editor MJ Day for helping her reach her goal of becoming a cover girl.

“MJ came over to me and she had tears in her eyes and she said, ‘This is going to make history,’” Graham says. “And in that moment, I knew that I wasn’t just there as a favor, I wasn’t there just like ‘Oh let’s put the big girl in.’ I was there because I was supposed to be there.”

Ashley Graham doesn’t believe she is the only one to emerge victorious from landing this Sports Illustrated cover. She believes it is a victory for society as well.

“Girls who are insecure about their bodies, girls who feel fat, girls who have cellulite, girls who have stretch marks on their body–those are all the things that I had as a kid and I never had a woman like me growing up to look at,” she explains. “I had my mother and that’s one thing, but to have somebody who has cellulite, who has things that jiggle, who has back fat and talk about how you can be an overcomer and not let society take you down for all of that. That’s real.”

The first person Ashley Graham called when leaving the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover reveal was her husband

“My husband said, ‘I told you!’” Graham said. “And then he goes ‘Yesss.’”

In addition to Ashley Graham, UFC fighter Ronda Rousey and model Hailey Clauson also landed Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition covers.

Fans can check them all out on Monday, when the swimsuit edition hits news stands.

  • Ronda Rousey Scores One of Three Covers for “Sports Illustrated” Swimsuit Edition, Explains Un-Sexy Details About Painted-On Swimsuit

Ronda Rousey scored one of three coveted covers for the upcoming Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. The UFC fighter makes history with her cover, too, as her swimsuit isn’t made of fabric. Instead, it is painted on.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Ronda Rousey explains that the process of painting on said swimsuit isn’t nearly as sexy as it may look.

“The most memorable thing was me bent over on a table while someone took a little paintbrush and just colored circles around my butthole,” she said. “And I was like, ‘I am not used to anything cold and wet being there.’ So it was really odd.”

“I’m standing there naked for 14 hours and shooting for all this time and at the end of the day, they’re like, ‘Do you want to eat? Do you want water? Do you want anything else?’ I’m like ‘No, I want a bra pronto. All other needs come later,’” she added.

Despite the awkwardness of the aforementioned scenario, Ronda Rousey is extremely excited to score one of the three Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition covers.

“This is like a dream I forgot to have and ended up having anyway,” she said. “I love that all the covers are three different body types in their healthiest form.”

Model Hailey Clauson and size 16 body activist/model Ashley Graham scored the other two covers.

Ronda Rousey says Ashley Graham’s reaction to landing a cover was priceless.

“I don’t know if I felt more special getting the cover or being able to sit there and personally witness Ashley Graham’s reaction,” Rousey said. “I was already slightly girl crush obsessed with her, and she just met every expectation and more. She is an amazing human being and it made me so happy to see her that happy.”

Fans can check out Ronda Rousey, as well as Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson on their respective Sports Illustrated covers when they go on sale Monday.

Hailey Clauson received exciting news on Saturday night at the big reveal of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. She learned she was one of three models chosen to grace the highly anticipated cover.

The model, who is often compared to Brigette Bardot, is in excellent company. Ronda Rousey and Ashley Graham were chosen as cover models, too.

Hailey Clauson loves modeling, but she also loves her boyfriend and her dog. Clauson is dating fellow model Julian Herrera. He is a personal trainer and boxing coach.

It’s Hailey Clauson’s dog, Mahala, and not Herrera, however, that is prominently featured her Instagram account. The rescued pit bull is her pride and joy.

“My beautiful pit bull, Mahala (who is a rescue) is the most incredible animal (I think she’s a person), everyone should rescue if your looking for a dog or a cat,” she captioned this photo. “Pit bulls always need homes and they are honestly the most loyal and sweet creatures.”

The honor of scoring a Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover is expected to raise Hailey Clauson to new heights within the modeling industry.

In fact, People magazine expects she will soon become a household name.

Hailey Clauson–as well as Ashley Graham and Ronda Rousey–can be seen on the sexy Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition covers when the issues hit news stands on Monday.

  • Holly Holm Could Face “Biggest Fight In UFC History” If She Beats Miesha Tate

Holly Holm will go up against Miesha Tate in March, and while Tate is a formidable competitor, most of the UFC world is waiting on pins and needles to see if Holm will come out the victor, because if she does, her next fight would likely be a rematch against Ronda Rousey.

UFC President Dana White sat down for an interview recently and said that such a rematch would be the biggest fight they had ever seen. However, he still won’t say definitively whether that will happen even if Holm should win, because Rousey is taking some time off following her last match against Holm and no one is sure when she’ll be back.

“If Holly Holm should win, the Holly-Ronda Rousey rematch is going to be the biggest fight ever in UFC history — if that rematch happens,” White said in his interview on the Jalen and Jacoby Show.

Ronda Rousey has kept a pretty low profile since her defeat in November, but it’s widely known that she wanted to take time off even before the match to work on some of her other projects, such as feature films. And while she hasn’t spoken much about getting back in the ring with Holm–which will take just as much mental and emotional preparation as physical–Holm said immediately after their first match that another fight would make sense.

“I think a rematch makes sense for sure. I’ve been on the losing side of a fight and I wanted the rematch, I wanted to avenge my loss. With a champion like Ronda – who has gone out of her way, above and beyond, to do great things – absolutely she deserves a rematch. I don’t look at this belt and think I’ve made it. I think I still have things that I need to do. I think a rematch, I think that’s kind of unspoken common sense to me,” Holm said.

In the meantime, Holly Holm has been enjoying traveling for media appearances, taking her belt with her wherever she goes.

  • Ronda Rousey Poses Naked in Painted-On Swimsuit

Ronda Rousey is seemingly enjoying these non-fighting days–so much so she bares it all in a recent photo shoot for Sports Illustrated.

The UFC fighter has been spotted posing for a photographer on a beach–naked–save for the painted on swimsuit she is wearing.

Ronda Rousey appeared in last year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and she is set to make her return within its pages this year, too.

The 28-year-old is seen striking some super sexy poses as she plays in the water along the shore’s edge during her Caribbean photo shoot.

TMZ reports that Ronda Rousey’s painted-on swimsuit is based on an actual swimsuit–the real kind made with fabric. Since the initial photos from her recent photo shoot have circulated, sales for that swimsuit have dramatically escalated.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2016, featuring these photos and more of Ronda Rousey naked, except for that thin layer of paint that creates the illusion of a swimsuit, is set to hit news stands in February.

  • Jenna Renee Says Ronda Rousey’s Boyfriend Is A Wife-Beater, And She’s Still The Wife

Jenna Renee is the estranged wife of UFC star Travis Browne, and she has an important message for Browne’s current girlfriend, Ronda Rousey.

Renee recently posted a lengthy message online addressed to Rousey, calling her out on dating her ex despite his history of domestic abuse. She also attached a meme showing Rousey wearing a “promise ring” from Browne with the caption: “Is Ronda Rousey wearing a promise ring? As in ‘I promise not to hit you like my current wife’ ring?” The post has since been taken down.

“Kudos to the people with a strong enough backbone to take ownership of the decisions they make, wether (sic) good or bad, mistakes or not — who don’t try to cover their tracks by changing their story to please society…,” wrote Jenna Renee.

The feud between the two ladies began when Rousey allegedly called Jenna Renee a “liar” in a previous interview. Renee had sparked an investigation by the UFC on Browne last summer because of photos she posted showing injuries she allegedly sustained from Browne’s abuse. After seven weeks of searching for evidence, the UFC determined that Renee’s accusations were “inconclusive” and that her evidence was insufficient.

Rousey, on the other hand, was rumored to be engaged to Browne when she was spotted wearing what people assumed to be a diamond ring on her finger during her appearance on Saturday Night Live last weekend.

The 28-year-old former bantamweight champion denied the rumors and claimed that it was merely a “promise ring.” She also responded to the social media attacks of Jenna Renee by posting a quote from the film, Rocky Balboa, on her Instagram page.

Jenna Renee also reminded Rousey and the public that despite her differences with Browne and his current relationship with Rousey, that they are still legally married.

  • Ronda Rousey Scores Role Alongside Tina Fey in New Film

Ronda Rousey, the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, continues to extend her brand into Hollywood and has scored a role in an upcoming film alongside Tina Fey. The title, Do Nothing Bitches, comes from a pre-fight interview Ronda Rousey did back in August, when she explained how she wasn’t a “do nothing bitch.”

“I have this one term for the kind of woman that my mother raised me to not be. I call it a ‘do-nothing b–ch.’ Or, I call it a ‘DNB’ a lot of the time,” Rousey said at the time.

“That’s why I think it’s hilarious if people say that my body looks masculine, or something like that. I’m just like, ‘Listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than f—ing millionaires doesn’t mean it’s masculine.’ I think it’s femininely badass as f–k, because there’s not a single muscle on my body that isn’t for a purpose. Because, I’m not a do-nothing b–ch,” Ronda Rousey added.

Eventually filing a trademark for the phrase, Rousey will get paid for the film’s use of it as the title, as well as for her role.

Deadline reports the film is about “wealthy pampered wives who get a rude awakening at a camp where Rousey plays the no-nonsense instructor.”

In addition to Do Nothing Bitches, Ronda Rousey is also working on a biopic about her life. My Fight/Your Fight is currently in development.
Ronda Rousey, in fact, has so many acting gigs at the moment, she has had to put her return to fighting on hold.

Will you check out Ronda Rousey and Tina Fey in Do Nothing Bitches when it hits the big screen?
