Roddy Piper Talks WWE And Vince McMahon

Roddy Piper has always been just a little better at trash talk than wrestling. He has been bashing a lot of his colleagues over the last few days and seems to be disappointed with the entire professional wrestling industry in general.

Piper has been making jabs at Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and TNA for a while now, but he has recently turned his frustrations on Vince McMahon and WWE as well. He makes appearances on wrestling circuits all over the world, even the ones he obviously has a problem with.

Piper recently bashed TNA while at a show in Ireland. The crowd was fairly small and Piper joked that there was just as many people at the show as there usually are at TNA matches. He also urged the crowd to chant “F*** you TNA.”

Next he went on a rant about Ric Flair and his adulterous behavior. According to The Wrestling Observer, Piper said that Flair was an “a**hole” who can’t keep his clothes on and who “can’t keep his d**k in his pants.”

Piper and Flair wrestled together for years and Piper admitted that he has a lot of respect for Flair and even “loves” him, but just can’t stand to be around him because of how he acts.

After bashing Ric Flair and TNA, Piper directed his anger at Vince McMahon and the WWE. He claims that Vince McMahon is holding a grudge against him. Piper said that several years ago McMahon insulted him and Piper snapped, telling him that he was a failed concert promoter, a failed bodybuilding promoter, and a failed football promoter, and the only reason the WWE is successful is because Vince’s father handed it to him.

He also implied that he would like to go up against McMahon in the ring saying,

“I guess if it’s against Vince McMahon or Vince Russo I would wrestle again, those would be for free.”

Piper has been angry with Vince Russo for many years and has even accused him of killing Owen Hart and ruining WCW.

While Piper is known for blowing smoke, he seems seriously upset at the moment.

Do you think Vince McMahon or Vince Russo would ever accept a match against Piper and if they did would it settle things once and for all?

  • “Rowdy” Roddy Piper Wants Hulk at WrestleMania 30

“Rowdy” Roddy Piper, is a former WWE professional, peaking in his wrestling career in the 1980s, alongside the likes of Hulk Hogan and Mr. T, and making a name for himself in the wrestling world with his signature “Sleeper Hold.”

Piper, 59, was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and is a wrestler famed for his temper; Roddy is nicknamed “Hot Rod,” as well as the more well-known moniker of “Rowdy Roddy,” both of which took off during his wrestling career.

Now, Roddy Piper has rejoined WWE headlines of late, fueling a tag-team rumor that he wants to participate in one at this year’s WrestleMania 30.

Piper apparently took to Twitter to instigate a frenzy for a showdown between two teams at the event: Piper wants to team with CM Punk for a face-off with Hulk Hogan and John Cena at the 30th annual WrestleMania this spring.

According to sources, there has been an “internal discussion” regarding the possibility of such a match-up between the four wrestlers, but it has been stated that 60-year-old Hogan “probably couldn’t pass a physical exam” to participate in such an event.

This would mark the second time Hogan and Piper were pitted against one another at WrestleMania; the two fought in a tag-team match (Piper and Paul Orndorff, and Hulk Hogan and Mr. T) at the first-ever WrestleMania in 1985.

Piper may not have ever reached quite the status of Hulk Hogan or Mr. T, but he did experience a fair amount of success in his pro wrestling tenure, winning the titles of Intercontinental Champion, World Tag Team Champion, and the WCW United States Champion at various points in his career. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper also reached infamy in the wrestling world when he was awarded an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

WrestleMania XXX (30) will take place at the New Orleans, Louisiana Mercedes-Benz Superdome on April 6, 2014. It will be available on pay-per-view.

  • Roddy Piper Wants To Wrestle Hulk Hogan

Roddy Piper Wants To Wrestle Hulk Hogan

Who wouldn’t want to see a match between two wrestling legends like Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan? Both men dominated professional wrestling back in the 80’s and 90’s and in spite of their ages, both are still involved with wrestling today.

Piper was known as a heel in wrestling and was famous for his annoying, but witty trash talk. During his career he had several memorable rivalries. He never held the title of world champion, but was often a main eventer and headliner. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

Piper tweeted about wrestling Hogan again and almost made it sound like a challenge for the WWE to put the two wrestlers in the ring together. He also talked a little smack to Hogan who didn’t tweet back and may not be interested in wrestling Piper.

WrestleMania XXX is only a few months away and it would make many people happy to see two wrestling legends like Hogan and Piper wrestle one last time. Piper is 59 years old and Hogan is 60, but both of them are still in decent shape and could no doubt put on a great show.

Anyone who was a wrestling fan in the 80’s and 90’s will tell you that it was way different from how it is today. There were better characters, better storylines, better moves and better rivalries. While younger wrestling fans might find a match between Piper and Hogan almost comical, veteran fans would appreciate it for its nostalgia and enjoy letting it take them back to a time when wrestling was in its prime.

  • Roddy Piper May Fight Hulk Hogan in WrestleMania

If you were a wrestling fan in the 1980s, then some of your favorite wrestlers were probably Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Andre the Giant, Randy “Macho Man” Savage, Rocky Johnson and the Iron Sheik, just to name a few. Also, there’s a good chance that Mr. Kilt himself, Rowdy Roddy Piper was one of your favorites too, and if that’s the case, then you’ll be thrilled to hear about the strong possibility of him and Hulk Hogan fighting in April.

Yesterday on his Twitter account, Piper put the word out that he wants to fight Hogan in this year’s WrestleMania XXX event, and he said if given the chance he’d work harder than ever. “Dare you to put Hogan vs Piper,” he wrote. “Separate the men from the boys. If I did WMXXX with Hogan, I’d train my a– off, and from bell to bell I’d fight with everything I got. I’d win.”

And although nothing was yet confirmed about a match between Piper and Hogan, from either Hogan himself or World Wrestling Entertainment, Piper says he has some huge news up his sleeve. “I know something you don’t know,” he tweeted. “It happens Monday. You will Love it. Hot Rod won’t #Hint.” With Piper being 59 years of age and Hogan being 60, it would be quite a sight to see these if these two were to go toe-to-toe once again, however, some fans probably won’t be all that thrilled and would rather just see the younger ones wrestle.

Of course there’s a good chance that Piper felt ultra nostalgic when posting the tweet, because today, January 11, is the 21rst anniversary of the USA Network debuting WWE’s Monday Night Raw, which could have fueled the challenge. But either way, it’ll be interesting if we get to see the two icons in the ring again, because as most people know, it’s always nice to stroll down memory lane. Even if it’s only for one wrestling match.
