  • Rob Gronkowski Dubbed Honorary Kentucky Derby Winner, What Was He Wearing?

Rob Gronkowski was dubbed one of the honorary Kentucky Derby winners on Saturday–at least in the fashion race. The New England Patriots tight end drew more looks that even the most fascinating fascinators.

Donning a plaid suit and white hat, Rob Gronkowski attended the Kentucky Derby alongside fellow Patriots players Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, and Danny Amendola–among others. And while all of the guys dressed the part, no one dressed quite like Rob Gronkowski.

Hopefully Gronk doesn’t decide to leave the NFL any time soon, and pursue a career in the fashion industry.

GQ dissed Tom Brady’s Kentucky ensemble. They felt if he wasn’t going to go ‘full Gronk,’ he should have at least worn a tie–the right way. Do you suppose Tom’s look embarrassed wife Gisele Bundchen?

What’s your take on Rob Gronkowski and his outfit of choice for the Kentucky Derby? Hopefully he doesn’t rub off on his team members–at least where his fashion choices are concerned.

  • Gronkowski Brothers Pitching Animated TV Series

It’s a story about five brothers and their proud dad. Four of the brothers are or were professional athletes. One of them, you probably know, Rob Gronkowski, aka “Gronk” the celebrity, stub, tight end for the New England Patriots. Now, there is a chance that we will get the opportunity to see the Gronkowski Brothers and all their brotastic hijinx recreated in animated form on a television set near you.

Deadspin is reporting that the Gronkowski family is currently pitching an idea for an animated series loosely based upon their lives. The show would of course be titled, “The Gronks.”

Barry Petchesky of Deadspin got his hands on a leaked pitch video. Please note that there is some lewd, adult content in this clip. Here’s a look at what we can expect:

Judging by the video, the show is for an adult audience, geared towards the Adult Swim demo. There will be jokes about Viagra, lots of curse words and childish hijinx like throwing snowballs at moving cars.

The Growkowski brood consists of five brothers: Gordy Jr. (a former minor league baseball player), Chris (a former NFL player), Dan (a former NFL player), Glenn (currently playing football at Kansas State) and Rob (the famous one who earned two Pro Bowl bids.) Both Chris and Dan moved around from team to team during their short professional careers in the NFL. They were both released from their respective teams this past summer. You can get a better look at the family on their website “Gronk Nation.”

Rob Gronkowski is presently in the middle of the NFL season, where his New England Patriots are 6-2 and in first place in the AFC East. Therefore, it seems like the leaked video is serving as a seed for Hollywood, and the major wheelings and dealings (if there are any), will come after the NFL season ends this winter. However, Ricky Blitt, a television writer who co-produces the Fox animated show “The Family Guy” has allegedly expressed an interest in “The Gronks.”

Tell us what you think. Would you like to see a cartoon version of the Gronkowski family?

  • Rob Gronkowski: Debate of his Return

Patriots coach, bench and fans are awaiting Rob Gronkowski to return to the game, but only want him to return if he is able to play. Last Thursday, the need for Gronkowski on the field was apparent when watching Tom Brady’s multiple incomplete passes.

New England squeaked by in their last win over the Jets, 13-10. And if that isn’t enough to show they need their receivers back on the bench, Tim Brady had the lowest total passing yards in a game since 2011. To make matters worse, the Patriots are also down receiver Danny Amendola.

ESPN’s Ed Werder reported that Gronkowski is “50-50” to play against the Buccaneers. Though, the Patriots’ coaches and staff are still discussing the decision in the next few days, but Gronkowski is closer to his return. He has been practicing with the team for a few weeks and slowly recovering from a difficult off season with an injury to his back and previously injured wrist.

Gronkowski is a power player known for his pass-catching abilities and blocking, and his return would perk up the team moral.

The main question the coaches need to consider is whether or not they need Gronk for the 0-2 Buccaneers on Sunday, or if they can give him an extra week of recovery. After the Bucs defense held the Saints to 16 points in Week 2, the Pats may need to consider needing Gronkowski on the field to make Brady’s offense work.

On the other hand, letting Gronkowski out on the field too early could put him at risk for further injury and ruin their chances of using him in December and January. It’s very likely the Pats offense will scoot by with a victory, even without Gronkowski.

In this case, the Patriots are better off to err on the side of caution, to maintain such a valued player for the demanding games later in the season even if that’s sacrificing a potential loss against Tampa Bay.

  • Rob Gronkowski Is Warm For Tebow’s Form

Rob Gronkowski Is Warm For Tebow’s Form

You’ve probably heard of the game “Marry, Shag, or Kill” (here in the states, “shag” is replaced with another, less blog-friendly word); it involves someone giving you three choices in the celebrity world, which you then have to assign to one of the above categories. The trick is to pick three really undesirable people (or at least one person of the opposite sexual orientation) to offer as choices. In honor of Friday the 13th, I’ll reference the film “Freddy Vs. Jason“, which has a scene where three friends are playing the game; the participant has to choose between the Three Stooges (which, ironically, could be tied in to this post by way of advertising for the remake, which opens this weekend, but I refuse to dishonor my man Curly Howard by doing so). When all of the choices are bad, the outcome is funny.

When New England Patriots tight-end Rob Gronkowski was asked recently by a student questioner at Edwards Stadium to play the game, he not only obliged, he got a little cheeky with it. His choices? Betty White, Jets coach Rex Ryan, and Tim Tebow.

“I would “f” Tebow, to take his virginity,” Gronkowski said.

The video has now gone viral.

What, no love for Betty White?
