  • Richard Gere Taught Cindy Crawford “How To Be Famous”

Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford weren’t married too many years, but their relationship had millions of people fascinated, in part because of their age difference but also because they were two beautiful famous people who found each other. Now, Crawford has written a memoir, and she says she’s still not ready to talk about their time together.

Crawford’s book, Becoming, talks about her life and the things she’s learned from her time as a supermodel and mom, but she didn’t want to go into detail about the four years she was married to Gere. As she put it, her goal was to be respectful.

“It’s not something I want to share. If I felt that there was a great good that could come of it, I might have shared more, but I didn’t think that there was anything for other people to learn or benefit from. And I wanted to be respectful,” Cindy told Porter. “Look, I learned a lot from Richard. I learned about how to be famous. Again, that’s not a universal lesson. And a lot of the personal things, everything else I learned from that, were for me.”

As for Richard Gere, he’s still acting and shares multiple wins of People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” with just a few other celebs, but that’s been far from his mind lately. The 66-year old thespian’s latest project is Time Out Of Mind,he plays a homeless man in Manhattan. For him, the role took any shred of vanity away and replaced it with basic elements.

“The city’s always in motion. People come to New York because they’ve got something to do. They got a job. They got a career choice. They’re moving from here to there. They’re taking this job for now because they’re moving up. And they got plans…Time, the whole idea of time, is very much part of our usual structure of how we see the world. For George, there is no time. There is ‘I’m hungry; and I’m tired, I wanna sleep.’ That’s about it. It’s very elemental,” Richard Gere said.

  • Julia Roberts and Husband Danny Moder in Therapy?

Julia Roberts and her husband Danny Moder are reportedly attending couples therapy. Fans needn’t worry, however. The Pretty Woman star and her cameraman hubby aren’t headed to divorce court.

“The marriage is not in trouble,” a family member said during a recent interview. “But the second Julia noticed they were growing apart, she warned Danny that divorce was not an option.”

Julia Roberts and her costar Richard Gere have been celebrating the 25th anniversary of Pretty Woman this month, and when she read a report that said her marriage was headed for divorce, she considered all the time she was spending away promoting the anniversary. As soon as she returned home she set up counseling sessions.

“They don’t want that spark between them to fade, and the counseling sessions are more of an intentional meeting so they don’t grow apart,” the source explained. “Now they have a committed time and day where they show up at their therapist’s office and talk. It’s often the only time all week that they’re together alone.”

Julia Roberts and Danny Moder are the parents of three children. Twins Hazel and Phinnaeus are 10, and Henry is seven. Between their careers and their kids, they–like so many couples–often feel like they’re drifting apart.

Roberts did something big for their marriage–in addition to scheduling couples counseling–when she agreed to star in an upcoming film called The Secret in Their Eyes. She convinced Danny Moder to sign on as cinematographer–and he agreed. That means Julia Roberts will get to be on set and spend time with her husband, too.

Are you impressed with how Julia Roberts refuses to allow her 12 year marriage to grow stale? If the two are in fact talking with a counselor and making plans to spend scheduled time communicating, then she has taken steps neither of them will ever regret.

  • Julia Roberts Will Celebrate ‘Pretty Woman’ 25th Anniversary on ‘Today Show’

Julia Roberts will join Richard Gere and other stars of the 1990 film Pretty Woman to celebrate its 25th anniversary on the Today Show this coming Tuesday, March 24th. Costars Laura San Giacomo and Hector Elizondo, as well as director Garry Marshall will also join in the celebration.

The release of Pretty Woman set Julia Roberts and her acting career soaring straight to bona fide stardom. Roberts earned her second Oscar nomination and her first Oscar for her role as hooker Vivian Ward. Vivian is hired in Pretty Woman to serve as an escort for Edward Lewis, a wealthy businessman played by Richard Gere. Ward and Lewis eventually fall in love, but not until a transformation akin to a modern day version of the one that takes place in My Fair Lady transpires.

The celebration that airs on Today this Tuesday will feature a reunion of sorts. Jason Alexander, who played the rather sleazy Philip Stuckey, and who later became famous for his role on Seinfeld, is noticeably absent, however. When the gang gets together for their interview with Matt Lauer, lots of fun and laughter is in store for everyone–both on the set and for those watching at home, too.

Julia Roberts and the rest of the cast, along with Garry Marshall, will reportedly share their favorite moments from Pretty Woman.

Julia Roberts was just 22 when she starred in Pretty Woman, and the only big credits under her acting belt at that time were Mystic Pizza and Steel Magnolias.

Will you be tuning in to the Today Show on NBC on Tuesday morning to see Matt Lauer interview Julia Roberts, Richard Gere and more as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pretty Woman?

  • Julia Roberts Celebrates 25th Anniversary Of ‘Pretty Woman’, Joins Richard Gere On ‘Today’

America’s ultimate sweetheart Julia Roberts joins Richard Gere and the rest of the cast of the 90’s romantic comedy Pretty Woman in a special interview on Today.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the film, producer Matt Lauer and the Today show exclusively reunites leading lady Roberts and on-screen prince charming Gere with Pretty Woman costars Laura San Giacomo and Hector Elizondo. Director Garry Marshall was also present during the celebration.

Pretty Woman’s release in 1990 ushered Robert’s acting career into greater limelight. The film earned the actress her second Oscar nomination and her first Oscar award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Then 22-year-old Roberts was just breaking out with movies including Mystic Pizza and Steel Magnolias.

Roberts played as unworldly Vivian Ward, a hooker hired by filthy rich businessman Edward Lewis (Gere) to be his escort for a few social engagements. Bubbly prostitute friend Kit De Luca (Giacomo) elbows Ward into taking the job. After several “princess trainings” from hotel manager, Barney Thompson (Elizondo) and a quintessential make-over, the hooker won the rich man’s heart.

And the rest became a classic Hollywood romance.

During the taping of the anniversary special, vivacious Roberts can be seen laughing with her co-stars. Today’s interview featured a lot of kissing, hugging and catching up among the cast. Only Jason Alexander, who played antagonist, sleazy Philip Stuckey, was noticeably absent from the reunion.

“It was wild,” Lauer told his Today cohost after a sneak peak of the special interview. “And we did the whole thing, just to keep in the mood of the movie, in a bathtub, with the bubbles. It was fantastic,” he added in revere of Robert’s memorable bathtub scene where the actress soaks luxuriously in bubbles while singing “Kiss” by Prince.

Pretty Woman became such a great hit that even after 25 years, fans of the cast still remember their performances.  In last years’ interview with Lauer, Roberts revealed that people still cite her hooker role as their favorite. “I kinda go, ‘Another decade? Anything a little closer?’” she joked.

  • Richard Gere May Be Looking at Pricey Divorce

Richard Gere might be heading towards giving up half of his estimated $250 million fortune, as divorce proceedings commence with his estranged wife Carey Lowell.

A source told Page Six, “they are not getting along and they are very far apart on how much money she will get in their divorce.” The source added, “she (Lowell) can claim she gave up her career for him and for their 14-year-old son Homer, and that she deserves half of all his earnings since they got married in 2002.”

Gere, 65, got married to Lowell, 53, in 2002, and the two have cited “lifestyle differences” as the cause of their separation. Gere, who shot to stardom after playing male escort Julian Kaye in 1980’s American Gigolo, raked in roughly $83 million in 2013, according to People Magazine. The actor’s bayfront manor in North Haven in the Hamptons is on the market for $47.5 million, which might be indicative that he is well aware a lofty divorce settlement is impending.

    Gere in American Gigolo:

Lowell, who worked on NBC’s Law & Order between 1996-2001, filed for divorce in June, and is presently living in a rented house in the Hamptons. Lowell’s lawyer Robert Cohen commented that it was too early to discuss how much the divorce settlement might be. “Nobody has asked for anything yet,” Cohen told Page Six. “But she certainly wants her fair share of the marital assets.”

Gere, who was spotted with Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, reportedly threatened the paparazzi with an umbrella after an October court appearance with Lowell. Gere and Lowell refused to acknowledge one another during the courtroom proceedings.

Lowell, who had been married twice before meeting Gere, is reportedly seeing a man who is going through his own contentious divorce, and the Pretty Woman actor is said to be highly displeased.

  • Richard Gere, Padma Lakshmi Call It Quits

Richard Gere, Padma Lakshmi Call It Quits

Richard Gere and Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi have reportedly called it quits after dating for about six months. They two started dating following Gere’s split from wife Carey Lowell.

“It started very recently and quietly. It’s very new,” a source told Us Weekly back in April. “I wouldn’t even go as far as calling them a couple. They are dating. It’s the first time Padma has dated anyone since Teddy [Forstmann, who died in 2011], and it’s something she’s been approaching very, very delicately.”

“They’re just getting to know each other. They’re just having fun,” the source added.

    Apparently that fun is over.

Richard Gere and Carey Lowell are parents to teenage son Homer. Lakshmi has a daughter, four-year-old Kristina. Richard Gere was once married to supermodel Cindy Crawford.

The Pretty Woman actor recently touted his latest film, Time Out of Mind, in which he plays a homeless man.

“What probably really helped was I was right in the middle of a divorce [from Carey Lowell], so the emotions were right on the surface,” he joked during his speech at he Film Society of Lincoln Center last week. No mention was made of his split from Padma Lakshmi.

Lakshmi also shied away from mentioning her split from Richard Gere. She didn’t say anything while a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday and she failed to mention it while she was on The Today Show on Tuesday. E! reports she did mention recently–while on TV–that she is single.

It will be interesting to learn if anything is divulged about the reasons behind Richard Gere and Padma Lakshmi’s split. Certainly after just six months–and the very low profile the two kept–people didn’t expect a ‘happily ever after.’ Inquiring minds always like to learn the details, however.

  • Richard Gere and Top Chef’s Padma Lakshmi Call It Quits

Richard Gere and his girlfriend of six months, Bravo’s Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, have ended their romance.

The New York Post‘s Page Six first reported the breakup, with a source explaining that Gere and Lakshmi “decided they would be better as friends.”

The couple have been very private about their relationship and they were rarely photographed.

In a recent television appearance, Lakshmi announced that she was single. She also didn’t mention the split during Friday’s appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show nor on NBC’s Today Tuesday.

Last week, while speaking at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Gere said he’s very proud of his new movie, Time Out of Mind, in which he plays a homeless man.

“What probably really helped was I was right in the middle of a divorce [from Carey Lowell], so the emotions were right on the surface,” the 64-year-oldstar quipped.

Lakshmi, 44, was married to author Salman Rushdie from 2004 to 2007. She later dated billionaire Teddy Forstmann until he died of brain cancer in 2011. Lakshmi also has a three-year-old daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell, with venture capitalist ex-boyfriend Adam Dell, the brother of computer maker Michael Dell.

Gere is set to begin work on a new film, Oppenheimer, by award-winning Israeli director Joseph Cedar. Meanwhile, Lakshmi has been traveling quite a bit after filming in Boston wrapped for a new season of Top Chef.

Gere and Lowell have a son together, 14-year-old Homer.

Time Out of Mind is in limited release and Top Chef airs 10 p.m. ET each Wednesday on Bravo.

  • Padma Lakshmi & Richard Gere Split Up

Padma Lakshmi and Richard Gere have called it quits.

That’s right ladies, Richard Gere is a single man and is back on the market!

Page Six first reported the break up between the Pretty Woman star and the Top Chef host. Sources told the news site that the couple had mutually decided that it would be better if they were just friends.

The couple, who have been incredibly private about their relationship, first started dating six months ago after Gere split from his wife of eleven years Carey Lowell. Somehow they managed to avoid the paparazzi and were only seen out together a few times during their entire fling. “They have been quietly spending some time together,” a source said of the couple’s relationship. “It is all very new and recent.”

Lakshmi was the first to reveal that their relationship was over. During a recent interview, Padma was asked about her love life to which she revealed that she was a single lady. However, she made no mention of the split during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday.

Lakshmi was previously married to Salman Rushdie from 2004 to 2007, and has a three-year-old daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell, with her ex-boyfriend Adam Dell. Gere has a 14-year-old son, Homer, with Lowell.

Gere’s most recent project has been his movie Time Out of Mind in which he plays a homeless man. While speaking at the Film Society of Lincoln Center last week, Gere spoke about how proud he is of the film. “What probably really helped was I was right in the middle of a divorce, so the emotions were right on the surface,” he joked.

Top Chef will return for its new season on October 15 at 10 p.m. on Bravo.

  • Richard Gere Reportedly Splits From Padma Lakshmi

Richard Gere is reportedly a single man again after a split from Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi.

The couple were rumored to be in trouble back in July after Gere was spotted having dinner with another woman, but both have been intensely private about their relationship and declined to comment. Lakshmi confirmed recently during a television interview that she was single once more, however.

The duo have been busy with their respective careers and their traveling schedules may have been a factor in the breakup, according to Page Six. Gere was in the Himalayas over the summer for the Dalai Lama’s birthday celebration and has been filming Time Out Of Mind in New York. The actor says it’s the body of work he’s most proud of, citing his recent divorce as inspiration for emotional motivation.

“What probably really helped was I was right in the middle of a divorce, so the emotions were right on the surface,” he said.

The film stars Gere as a homeless man living on the streets of New York, and was the project he was working on earlier this year when a tourist mistook him for an actual homeless person and gave him her leftover pizza.

  • Richard Gere Survived Homelessness, But Can’t Find A Buyer For Hampton Home

Richard Gere is just wrapping up his movie, Time Out of Mind, in which he plays a homeless man. He’s been doing such a good job, that people have mistaken his homelessness as genuine. They’ve done things like giving him cold leftover pizza.

He is now apparently so much an expert on homelessness, that other stars will call him up to ask his advice. According to Confidenti@l, Susan Sarandon was meeting with Time Out New York magazine’s editor in chief, Terri White, to figure out how to cover homelessness in New York for the magazine. Sarandon immediately thought of Gere and his movie Time Out of Mind.

“She said, ‘I’ll just text him and see if I can interview him for the issue,’” White recalled. “So she just texted him in the room in front of everybody, which was kind of awesome unto itself, and then her people called me a few days later and said, ‘Susan interviewed Richard.’ It’s truly the power of having friends like that. And being Susan Sarandon.”

The interview is scheduled to be published next Wednesday, August 13th.

While he’s coping with pretending to be homeless, Gere has other personal problems. The New York Daily News recently described him as “desperate” to sell his house in the Hamptons. The asking price is now 47.5 million dollars, down from the 65 million dollar price he was asking for last year. The six acre estate is known as Strongheart Manor, and includes a gym, basketball courts, an outdoor fireplace pavilion, a 60-foot heated pool, 12 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, and a lovely view of Peconic Bay. It was built in 1902 on 26 Actors Colony Road. Gere bought it in 2006 for the low price of 6.9 million dollars.

It’s hard to imagine going back to that kind of luxury after eating from the garbage.

  • Richard Gere Spotted With Another Woman

Richard Gere was reportedly spotted having dinner with a woman who was not his girlfriend of several months, Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi.

The 64-year old actor recently split from his wife of 11 years and has been seeing Lakshmi for a while now, but lately they haven’t been seen together much. The two are said to be busy traveling, however, with Lakshmi in London while Gere was in the Himalayas for the Dalai Lama’s birthday celebration.

“Richard Gere is here to get the teachings of His Holiness (the Dalai Lama) and to participate in the Kalachakra ceremony,” an official from the Ladakh Buddhist Association said.

Gere was granted an audience with the Dalai Lama at the celebration and listened with tends of thousands of attendees to his speech about violence against Muslims.

“I urge the Buddhists in these countries to imagine an image of Buddha before they commit such a crime. Buddha preaches love and compassion. If the Buddha is there, he will protect the Muslims whom the Buddhists are attacking,” he said.

  • Richard Gere Mistaken For A Homeless Man

Apparently, Richard Gere does an excellent job getting into character.

While on the set of his most recent film Time Out of Mind, in which he plays a homeless man, Gere was actually mistaken as a hobo and given food by a Parisian tourist.

Gere was dressed in grimy clothes, carrying a paper bag containing beer, and was digging through the trash can when Karine Gombeau stopped to help him. She explained to Gere that she and her family had just eaten a large pizza and then proceeded to offer him the leftovers.

“I said, ‘Je suis désolée (I am sorry), but the pizza is cold,’ ” Karine told the New York Post. Gere did not reveal his identity, but instead he simply replied: “Thank you so much. God bless you.”

It wasn’t until two days later, when a worker at the hotel she was staying at handed her a copy of The Post, that Karine realized who the alleged “hobo” actually was. “It was magical . . . It’s crazy, this story,” she explained. “It’s unimaginable that something like this could happen.” Karine described Gere as handsome and revealed that she loved his movie Chicago. “I think he’s very handsome, even at his age,” she continued. “ Pretty Woman was not my favorite movie, but I really loved Chicago. ”

Karine explained, looking back, that she should have realized that they had stumbled onto the set of a movie. Her husband had been filming their outing, and she said that people immediately told him to stop filming when he entered the area. “People came from all over the station and told my husband to stop filming,” Karine said. “People came out of the subways. It was very confusing.”

Richard Gere ‘Quietly’ Dating Top Chef’s Lakshmi?

Looks like Richard Gere is already dating despite the fact his divorce from Carey Lowell isn’t yet finalized.

Page Six reports the 64-year-old actor is indeed dating Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi.

“It started very recently and quietly,” a source told Us Magazine. “It’s very new. I wouldn’t even go as far as calling them a couple. They are dating. • Richard Gere Reportedly Dating Padma Lakshmi

Richard Gere Reportedly Dating Padma Lakshmi

Richard Gere has recently begun dating Padma Lakshmi, according to Page Six.

“They have been quietly spending some time together. It is all very new and recent, and happened while he has been filming in New York,” a source told the publication.

“It’s the first time Padma has dated anyone since Teddy [Forstmann], and it’s something she’s been approaching very, very delicately. They’re just getting to know each other. They’re just having fun,” a source told Us Weekly.

Gere, 64, is in the process of divorcing Carey Lowell, a former actress and model whom he married in 2002. They were together for seven years prior to marrying. The two have a 14-year-old son, Homer.

News of the separation broke in September 2013 and according to sources, Gere and Lowell had “been spending time apart for quite some time.”

“They have a place in Bedford [NY], and he likes it because it’s quiet and he likes the solitude,” said the source. “She likes being in North Haven in the limelight. They live next door to Jimmy Buffett and his family, and they’re good friends.”

Gere was married to supermodel Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995. Lowell was married twice prior to her marriage to Gere and has a 24-year-old daughter from her second marriage.

Lakshmi, 43, is known for her role as host of the Emmy Award-winning reality show Top Chef. Besides hosting the show since 2006, Lakshmi has written several cookbooks in addition to stints as a model and actress.

In 2004 she famously married the well-known and often controversial novelist Salman Rushdie. Like Lakshmi, Rushie was born in India. The two divorced three years later.

Lakshmi has a three-year-old daughter, Krishna, with ex Adam Dell, brother of computer icon Michael Dell.

Lakshmi dated billionaire Teddy Forstmann for several years until his death in November 2011 and the two were together when her daughter was born.

Gere is currently filming Time Out of Mind in New York City. He plays a homeless man who attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Jena Malone.)

Gere has said he’s been fascinated with the project for years:

“It is a profoundly human story that we are determined to make into a powerful film that speaks to everyone.”

Prior to filming Time Out of Mind, Gere was busy with Franny, Henry & Me, and the sequel to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

  • Theo James is Great Kisser According to Divergent Co-Star Shailene Woodley

Theo James is a great kisser, according to Shailene Woodley who stars alongside him in the much-anticipated movie adaptation of Veronica Roth’s best-selling young adult novel Divergent.

“He’s an incredibly masculine man with a beautiful soulful heart – and he was a great kisser,” Woodley said in a recent interview.

In the movie, which hits theaters this weekend, James plays Four, the Dauntless instructor who connects and eventually falls in love with Woodley’s Tris.

According to Divergent director Neil Burger, there was an immediate connection between James and Woodley:

“With the other guys we’d been auditioning, Shai was the one that was pushing them back. When Theo was opposite her, she knew that he was the Four.”

Of the role, James has said “I had an immediate affinity with the character. I think we share certain qualities. You tend to try and use everything you share with a character in everything you do. I love this person who you don’t know what he’s thinking. He’s the type of person when he walks into a room, doesn’t need to be the loudest voice, but you still feel his presence. He’s not someone who speaks too much, but you know he’s thinking all the time. He’s a very perceptive person. On top of that, there’s kind of a dangerous stillness I felt he had when reading the book and the script.”

A native of Oxfordshire, England, 29-year-old James earned an undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Nottingham and studied acting at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In his final year at Bristol, he was tapped for a minor role in Woody Allen’s You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.

“It might have worked for others, but I was not mature enough to do it,” James has said of his decision to wait until his 20s to start acting. “I needed to be a bit more grounded and to have more to draw from. It was the right decision for me.”

James made a brief but well-remembered appearance on Downton Abbey as Michelle Dockery’s ill-fated lover Kemal Pamuk. From there, he went on to play the role of Jed Harper in the British supernatural television series Bedlam and starred opposite Kate Beckinsale in Underworld: Awakening.

Upcoming film projects include London Fields with Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, and Jaimie Alexander and Franny with Dakota Fanning and Richard Gere.

James admitted he’s concerned about being typecast after starring in what is expected to be a blockbuster this weekend: “Inevitably what will happen is that opportunities will open and you get choices presented to you that you definitely need to be strong enough to say no to. Then the stuff that you really want to go for, you’ll still have to hustle for and still have to fight for, so I think that will be my challenge: to play everything in opposition to that.”

  • Theo James To Star In New Independent Film, Franny

Theo James, the young British actor, has been cast in Franny. Franny is an upcoming film that has already cast Richard Gere and Dakota Fanning. The plot features a philanthropist who meddles in the lives of newly-married couples in an effort to relive his past. Richard Gere will play the main character, while Fanning and James are set to play one of the couples that he gets involved with, Olivia and James.

James was most recently involved with the film Divergent, a based on a young adult novel, and which also stars Shailene Woodley and is set to be released on March 21, 2014. He made his debut in the Woody Allen’s film, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, but is most notable for his role in Downton Abbey as Kemal Pamuk, according to E Online. He also got the lead on CBS’ new drama Golden Boy. Before his role on Downton Abbey, he also appeared in the BBC series, Bedlam.

James joins Fanning, who gained much of her recognition as a young child star in films such as War of The Worlds and I Am Sam. The pair seem a bit oddly matched, especially with their age difference, in order to play a married couple. James is 28, while Fanning is only 19, which can be a very big difference at the point in their lives. In addition, as Fanning is known for her child roles, it is hard to think of her being grown up and in a marriage with someone older than her. Fanning also had a role in one of the Twilight films.

Fanning’s most recent film was The Last of Robin Hood, about the later years of Errol Flynn, also starring Susan Sarandon and Kevin Kline. The new film Franny, is brought to audiences from a new filmmaker, making his directorial debut. Deadline mentions that Andrew Renzi is directing the film from a script that he wrote, after developing it at this year’s Sundance Screenwriters Lab. The pair of young actors are also excited about joining the veteran actor Richard Gere, who is just coming off of his Golden Globe nomination for his film Arbitrage.

  • Richard Gere and Carey Lowell Split Confirmed

Richard Gere and his wife of 11 years, Carey Lowell, who haven’t been photographed together since a Hamptons screening of his Wall Street thriller “Arbitrage” last year, have separated and are planning to file for divorce, according to the New York Post’s Page Six.

Gere, 64, and model/actress Lowell, 52, have “been spending time apart for quite some time.” said one source close to the couple. The source added that it’s unclear when the couple will file for divorce.

The couple, married for 11 years, have been living apart for some time, with Gere staying at their property in Bedford, N.Y., and Lowell, at their historic mansion in North Haven, N.Y.

Another source added that the two have drifted into different lifestyles as the Buddhist actor craves privacy and Lowell, a former Bond girl, likes socializing with other bigwigs. “They have a place in Bedford [NY], and he likes it because it’s quiet and he likes the solitude. She likes being in North Haven in the limelight.”

The insider added, “They live next door to Jimmy Buffett and his family, and they’re good friends.”

Gere and Lowell have a son, Homer. A friend of the couple tells People, “They’ll do everything possible to keep things amicable and put their child first.”

According to Hello!, after their marriage in 2002, Gere stated that “We are adults who have been through marriage before and do not take it lightly. I felt married from the moment I met her, to tell the truth.”

Richard Gere was named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive in 1999. He was previously married to supermodel Cindy Crawford. Lowell has two previous marriages. She was married to fashion photographer John Stember and to actor-director Griffin Dunne, with whom she has a 23-year-old daughter, Hannah.
