  • Lana Del Rey Attacked By Eminem, Defended By Women

Lana Del Rey is the latest verbal victim of the real Slim Shady.

Lana Del Rey gets her clock cleaned, verbally, in a video intended to drum up attention for the new Shady Records compilation Shady XV.

In it, Eminem raps about punching Lana Del Rey in the face.

He then compares himself to Ray Rice.

You know, the alleged wife-beater of a few months ago who was suspended from the Ravens after a video was released of him decking his then-fiance in an elevator?

A photo posted by Lana Del Rey (@lanadelrey) on

He says of Lana Del Rey, “But I may fight for gay rights, especially if they dyke is more of a knockout than Janay Rice/Play nice? Bitch I’ll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance/’Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens.”

WARNING: There is serious language in this video. It is Eminem, after all.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRbIp66VwY4

    That’s just a little scary!

Besides, why Lana Del Rey? Doesn’t he know about her interview in February of 2012, in which she sang his praises?

“It changed my life. I found out music could be intelligent. He wasn’t just rhyming for rhyme’s sake.”

In addition to that, Lana Del Rey added that she loves Frank Sinatra as well. Seems like a bit of a weird pairing, but she explained, “Eminem is the master of lyrics whereas Frank Sinatra is the master of vocals… I f—-ing love Eminem.”

So what gives, Em? Lana Del Rey has nothing but love for you!

Lana Del Rey has not responded to the video, but those defending her have already left the gates.

Britt Julious of The Guardian said of the attack, “Eminem’s uber-misogynistic lyric toward Lana del Rey is neither shocking nor surprising. For 15 years, he has used our culture’s feigned anger toward acts of misogyny, and our obsession with celebrity, as a shortcut to staying relevant.”

What do you think of Eminem’s attack on Lana Del Rey? Not a big deal or does he need to be stopped?

  • Janay and Ray Rice ‘Praying’ For People Choosing to Wear Distasteful Halloween Costumes

Janay Rice is none too pleased with the Halloween costumes some people are choosing to wear this year, which seem to make a mockery of her husband’s fall from grace.

Her husband, Ray Rice, was cut from the Baltimore Ravens and suspended indefinitely from the NFL after a video hit the internet of him knocking his then-fiancée out inside a New Jersey casino elevator.

Photos were posted on social media last week of truly disturbing costume choices that are wrong on so many levels.

People dressed up as the Rices, donning NFL costumes and sporting black eyes, mocking the couple’s Feb. 15 assault incident. One photo, in particular, shows a young boy wearing an NFL costume and black face while dragging a black doll. Another shows a woman sporting a black eye and pretending to be punched by a man wearing football gear.

The Rices aren’t thrilled, to say the least, but they are taking the high road.

“[They’re] praying for those people,” a source told TMZ on Tuesday.

Janay went on to marry the former running back after the assault and has since stuck by her man through thick and thin.

Rice was indicted in March by a grand jury for third-degree aggravated-assault. Janay refused to testify against him, and the charges will likely be dropped if he completes a pre-trial intervention program.

  • Ray Rice Is Reportedly Set To Meet With NFL And NFLPA Investigators

Sources of The Baltimore Sun have revealed that Ray Rice will be meeting with NFL investigator Robert Mueller III and NFL Players Association investigator Richard Craig Smith soon. Rice will reportedly be bringing his wife Janay and defense attorney Michael Diamondstein with him during the meetings, for which dates have not yet been set. The meetings are meant to ensure convenience and transparency in the investigation of Rice’s domestic abuse case in relation to NFL matters.

In February, Rice was seen in a video hitting his then-fiancee Janay until she became unconscious in an elevator at the Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The incident resulted in a felony aggravated assault case against Rice, who was defended by Diamondstein. Rice was then accepted into a pretrial intervention program, which has allowed him to avoid jail time.

The NFL suspended Rice for two games at the time for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, but after the video was made public on September 8, it suspended him indefinitely. The Baltimore Ravens also dropped Rice from his $35 million contract.

Meanwhile, the NFL recently claimed that it reached out to several law enforcement agencies between February and June in order to obtain the video for their investigation. An NFL security representative named Jim Buckley reportedly approached the Atlantic City Police Department, Atlantic County Solicitor’s Office and the New Jersey State Police for all the information they had on Rice’s case, including the video. All agencies could not give Buckley the requested information, and when he approached the court official who approved Rice’s entry into the probationary program, Buckley was only given a copy of the indictment, which had already been made public at the time.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told ABC News that the information regarding their requests for the video will be included in Mueller’s report on the NFL’s handling of Rice’s case.

  • Gene Simmons Talks Ray Rice Incident

Gene Simmons Talks Ray Rice Incident

Gene Simmons is one of the many celebrities who have something to say about the Ray Rice elevator incident.

Simmons said that he doesn’t think Rice’s punishment is severe enough and that he feels like he should do some time in prison so he can understand exactly how wrong he was to hit his wife.

“My opinion is, if he was in jail for a day and became somebody’s girlfriend maybe he’d knew what abuse is life, but that’s another story,” Simmons said. “I’m against physical violence of anybody. You raise your hand to somebody you should he held accountable, not just in the legal system. It’s unsportsmanlike.”

Simmons went on to say that the incident was bad enough itself, but the fact that Ray’s wife, the victim of the attack, takes up for him is even worse.

Janay Rice was only Ray’s fiancé when he knocked her out in the elevator, but she married him just a short time later and now she refuses to believe that she is a victim and has asked everyone to leave her and Ray alone and to let them deal with things on their own.

She insists that she instigated the fight that led up to the elevator knockout and says that after it happened Ray got help and that they are now in a much better place and much happier.

She has also said that she feels like it isn’t fair that Ray got banned from the NFL and has accused the media and those who are obviously against Ray, of ruining the couple’s life and future.

“The saddest part of the ordeal is that Rice’s wife or fiancee isn’t copping to the fact that she was abused. More than abused – knocked out, the physical stuff,” Simmons said.

  • Ray McDonald Arrested As NFL Works To Repair Image

The events of the past few weeks have shined a rather uncomfortable light on both the National Football League and all sports fans.

Many fans find themselves forced to review how highly they prioritize being entertained by people worshiped as heroes and demigods. They have also confronted the reality that these individuals are human and often fallible.

Sometimes these players are fallible in ways that make ANY positive support offered to them, on or off the field, utterly tasteless.

Most importantly, NFL fans are now examining the terrible example long set by the league as to how NFL players guilty of criminal and deviant behaviors are treated.

The league has long been criticized for hypocrisy, inefficiency, and even accused of being far too forgiving of criminal offenders within their ranks.

Fortunately the back-to-back domestic abuse scandals involving Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, and now Ray McDonald have forced the NFL to act, and act immediately.

With this light shining so brightly on how the National Football League treats such serious and disturbing matters, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was left with no alternative but to update the league’s policies regarding acts of domestic violence.

Players found guilty of a single act of domestic violence will be banned for six weeks. A second offense results in banishment from the league. It is possible for the player to petition for reinstatement, but he must wait a full year.

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Ray McDonald was arrested a few weeks ago for an incident of domestic violence involving his fiance. She showed bruises to police that she alleged were caused by McDonald.

It’s not known how the 49ers will respond in the future, but they have not moved to remove the player from their roster and he is presently available to play. His situation has come into the spotlight thanks in large part due to the Ray Rice controversy.

In the meantime these incidents and the response by NFL teams and the league itself will continue to be a source of major contention and discussion.

Since domestic violence is a topic that few people willingly participate in, these events are good for bringing this serious and widespread problem to the attention of a much larger global audience.

  • Gene Simmons Ready To Launch New Music Reality Show

Gene Simmons, of KISS fame, is heading up a new musical reality show as the “Rock Caesar”.

His new show, Coliseum, pits talented singers against one another to gain the coveted thumbs up.

Most of us know how the ancients did it.

Thumbs up means you go on, thumbs down means you (your career) die.

The famous singer will coach his “gladiators” before they are ready to perform before the audience.

“Coliseum is a no-holds-barred competition show between musical gladiators in the arena fighting to survive, fighting to be the champion, fighting to curry the favor of Rock Caesar,” said Gene Simmons in a statement.

This announcement comes right on the heels of Simmons making a cringe-worthy statement on the controversial Ray Rice debacle.

While most of the population most likely feels that Ray Rice did wrong by his then-fiance, Gene Simmons took it a step further with his opinion on the matter. Not that some people don’t agree…

He said, “That guy needs, well my opinion is, if he was in jail for a day and became somebody’s girlfriend maybe he’d knew what abuse is like,” Simmons said during an interview on the Mike and Mike radio show. “But that’s another story.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGRQHiCEh58

Simmons added, “I’m against physical violence of anybody. You raise your hand to somebody you should he held accountable, not just in the legal system. It’s unsportsmanlike.”

He admitted that his biggest worry was for Janay Rice, who went ahead and walked the aisle with her alleged abuser.

Simmons said he was “sad” that Janay Rice “isn’t copping to the fact that she was abused. More than abused, knocked out, the physical stuff.”

I think it’s safe to say that most people felt sad for her in that way.

Congrats to Gene Simmons on his new show! We shall see if the nation gives it a thumbs up or thumbs down.

  • Chris Brown and Rihanna Together Again?

Chris Brown and Rihanna Together Again?

Chris Brown and Rihanna broke up back in 2009.

Their highly publicized domestic assault case made national headlines for quite some time and their break-up seemed inevitable.

However, several media outlets, namely MediaTakeOut.com and Hollywood Life, are now reporting that Brown and the Unapologetic singer may be on the road to reconciliation.

An inside source recently spoke with Hollywood Life about Brown and the “Where Have You Been” singer. The alleged details are quite interesting!

“Rihanna and Chris never stopped talking. They were supposedly ‘just friends’ but they would always flirt. There is a real ‘soul mate’ connection between them,” a source said.

“They have a bond and connection that’s so deep that no one can fully understand except them. That’s just a fact. He knows it. She knows it. Everybody knows it and that’s that. When it comes to Rihanna, you know, her name and his name will forever be intertwined, no matter who she’s talking to at any given moment,” the source explained.

All of the speculation comes just days after the 25-year-old singer was spotted wearing a chain similar to one Rihanna wears. MediaTakeOut also shared a picture of Rihanna kissing her necklace.

Another reason for all of the speculation may be the big discussion about domestic violence in light of NFL player Ray Rice’s highly publicized ordeal. The “Loyal” singer recently spoke out about his 2009 domestic altercation with Rihanna. He had some enlightening words for Rice.

“To Ray, or anybody else, because I’m not better than the next man — I can just say I’ve been down that road. I deal with situations and I’ve made my mistakes too, but it’s all about how you push forward and how you control yourself.”

However, all of the allegations may just be speculation, because apparently Karrueche Tran isn’t going anywhere either. Although Brown and the aspiring model have had their ups and downs, he seems pretty focused on their relationship. As a matter of fact, just a couple days ago he posted an interesting picture of him and Tran on Instagram.

The Chris Brown and Rihanna reconciliation rumors may or may not be true. Only time will tell!

  • Madden NFL 15: Ray Rice Has Been Removed from Game

The hits just keep coming for former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice. Following the Ravens terminating his contract and receiving an indefinite suspension from the NFL, Rice has now been booted from Madden NFL 15.

The Ray Rice hoopla started just a week ago when TMZ released footage of the elevator altercation involving Rice and his then fiancee Janay Palmer (the couple is now married). The incident occurred last February, and Rice originally received only a two-game suspension from the Ravens. After the video of Rice punching out Palmer was released, both the Ravens and the league decided further action was warranted, which led to the contract termination and league suspension.

Rice can now add being removed from a video game to his list of problems. “With Ray Rice’s indefinite suspension from the NFL, he will be removed from Madden NFL 15,” an EA Sports informed GameSpot last week. “This roster change will take place by this Friday.”

The change has already went into effect; several Twitter users have confirmed that Rice is no longer available.

EA isn’t the only company parting ways with Ray Rice; Nike and jump training program VertiMax no longer want anything to do with him. “After internal discussion about the events that transpired, we determined that a future relationship with Ray did not align with our goals as a company,” VertiMax CEO Michael Wehrell said.

Madden NFL 15 Tops August Video Game Sales

In other Madden NFL 15 news, according to NPD Group, the game was the top selling video game in August 2014. “Madden NFL 15 was the number one game this month with consumers adopting eighth generation software over seventh generation, leading to growth over last August’s Madden NFL 25–a trend which will hopefully become widespread and lead to software growth as we move towards the holidays,” said NPD Group’s Liam Callahan.

  • Hannah Storm on Domestic Violence: ‘What Does the NFL Stand For?’

ESPN’s Hannah Storm challenged the NFL to make changes in how it deals with accusations of violence in the wake of the Ray Rice scandal.

Storm joined other football analysts in expressing dismay in how the NFL handled the incident from the get-go. When Rice knocked out his then fiancée, Janay Rice, in the elevator in March, Rice was only given a two-game suspension.

Following the release of a graphic surveillance video by TMZ last week showing the incident in graphic detail, Rice’s contract with the Baltimore Ravens was terminated and the NFL suspended the player indefinitely.

Since then, NFL executives have maintained that they never saw the video footage, despite reports by CNN and ESPN to the contrary.

The 52-year-old mother of three daughters gave an emotional speech, saying she was a “lifelong” NFL fan and described how she discussed the news with her daughters.

“On Monday, I was genuinely excited to come to work and break down what I thought was a fascinating first weekend in the NFL,” Storm said. “Instead I kicked off ESPN’s coverage of the horrific Ray Rice elevator video.”

Storm said one of her daughters is participating in her first fantasy football league this season.

“At breakfast this week, instead of discussing how her team was doing, we watched the Ray Rice video play out again in all of its ugliness,” Storm said, holding back tears. “I spent this week answering seemingly impossible questions about the league’s biggest stars. ‘Mom, why did he do that? Why isn’t he in jail? Why didn’t he get fired?’ And yesterday, ‘Why don’t they even have control of their own players?’

“So here’s a question,” she continued. “What does all of this mean for the future? What does it mean for female fans, whose dollars are so coveted by the NFL, who make up an estimated 45 percent of the NFL’s fanbase? Are fans and are families, are we as parents supposed to compartmentalize everything that’s happening? Are we supposed to simply separate a violent game on the field from violent acts off the field? And if we do, what message does that send?”

Storm then asked why more wasn’t done initially and challenged the NFL to step it up when handling future cases of domestic abuse within the league.

“In the NFL, apparently seeing is believing,” Storm said. “If the NFL and the Ravens had to see that video to be moved to significant action, then shouldn’t those who support the league demand the same? To see action? To see change before believing, as we all wait on the answer to the central question: What exactly does the NFL stand for?”

  • Evelyn Lozada Speaks Out About Ray Rice, Domestic Violence

Evelyn Lozada definitely isn’t a fan of Ray Rice.

Like many other celebrities, the former Basketball Wives star made her sentiments quite clear last week.

For those who missed it, the former Baltimore Raven made headlines when footage surfaced of him knocking his fiancé Janay Rice out in an elevator. Although the altercation initially made headlines back in February, the footage of what occurred inside the elevator didn’t surface until Monday, September 8. Immediately after TMZ released the infamous video, the Baltimore Ravens terminated Rice’s contract.

Fans and celebrities took to different social media platforms voicing their opinions of Rice’s actions. Lozada had absolutely no reservations about voicing her opinion on Twitter.

“That video has me PISSED THE F—OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Lozada tweeted.

However, that wasn’t all she had to say! The 38-year-old reality TV also tweeted an indirect statement to Rice’s wife, encouraging her to stand against domestic violence.

But, Rice’s wife isn’t trying to hear what anyone has to say. Although she was the victim in the altercation, she took to Instagram to lash out at the media for scrutinizing her now-husband.

“I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I’m mourning the death of my closest friend,” she wrote on Instagram. “No one knows the pain that the media and unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing.”

Rice’s actions definitely struck a nerve with Lozada, who has also been a victim of domestic violence at the hands of an NFL player. Back in 2012, Lozada was involved in a highly publicized altercation with her ex-husband, former NFL star Chad Ochocinco.

TMZ also released shocking photos of Lozada’s injuries after she was head-butted by the former Miami Dolphin player. Lozada filed for divorce less than two months after the incident occurred. The Latin beauty is now an advocate against domestic violence.

  • Hannah Storm Slams The NFL: What Do You Stand For?

Hannah Storm, ESPN anchor and mother of three, has a question for the NFL … What do you stand for?

At the end of Sunday’s episode of SportsCenter, the sportscaster took the opportunity to comment on the Ray Rice controversy and how it has prompted difficult questions from her three young daughters.

“At breakfast this week, instead of discussing how her team was doing, we watched the Ray Rice video play out again in all of its ugliness,” Storm said teary-eyed. “I spent this week answering seemingly impossible questions about the league’s biggest stars. ‘Mom, why did he do that? Why isn’t he in jail? Why didn’t he get fired?’ And yesterday, ‘Why don’t they even have control of their own players?’

“So here’s a question,” she added. “What does all of this mean for the future? What does it mean for female fans, whose dollars are so coveted by the NFL, who make up an estimated 45 percent of the NFL’s fan base? Are fans and are families, are we as parents supposed to compartmentalize everything that’s happening? Are we supposed to simply separate a violent game on the field from violent acts off the field? And if we do, what message does that send?”

Rice, the former Baltimore Ravens running back, was indicted in March for allegedly punching his now wife Janay Rice. He was charged with third-degree aggravated assault, but the charges were later dropped. Rice was only suspended for two games.

Last week, TMZ released the video of the incident causing an uproar from fans. Once the video was released, the Ravens released Rice and the NFL suspended him indefinitely.

  • Evelyn Lozada Is “PISSED THE F**K OFF” By Ray Rice Assault Video

Evelyn Lozada Is “PISSED THE F**K OFF” By Ray Rice Assault Video

Evelyn Lozada, one of the five main cast members of VH1’s reality show Basketball Wives, has denounced the shocking video of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice’s domestic violence incident from February. “That video has me PISSED THE F**K OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Lozada tweeted last Monday. Lozada continued to say that Palmer should just leave and walk away from the abuse.

Lazada was married to NFL star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson in 2012. Their marriage lasted three months as Lazada soon left Johnson after suffering from domestic violence herself.

The previously unreleased surveillance footage of Atlantic City’s Revel Hotel and Casino showed Rice fighting with Palmer in an elevator. After a brief argument, Rice punched Palmer in the head, rendering her unconscious. The former NFL star then dragged her motionless body off the elevator, where he was confronted by hotel security.

The video has prompted both the Ravens and the NFL to take immediate action. The Ravens announced that they had terminated the final three years of Rice’s contract, while NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced Rice’s indefinite suspension from the NFL. Prior to the release of the footage, Rice was merely suspended without pay for two games.

Rice and Palmer have since exchanged marriage vows, and Palmer has issued a statement defending her husband’s actions.

“I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I’m mourning the death of my closest friend…” Palmer wrote on Instagram. “No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options [sic] from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing.”

“To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass off for all his life just to gain ratings is a horrific. THIS IS OUR LIFE!” “…If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you’ve succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!”

  • Robin Givens Reminded Of Her Own Abusive Relationship

Robin Givens Reminded Of Her Own Abusive Relationship

When a tape of Ray Rice knocking out his wife in an elevator surfaced, the world was shocked. While Janay Rice, the victim of the abuse, stood up for her husband and even blamed herself for the incident, most people were disgusted by it and completely turned their backs on Ray.

Robin Givens was one of the many people who had something to say about the tape. Givens said that watching the tape was difficult and it brought back memories of her own abusive relationship . Givens was once married to Mike Tyson and said that she was abused for months.

She said that Janay’s abuse is unfortunate, but the fact that it was caught on tape could help raise domestic violence awareness and inspire more abused women to come forward and seek help.

“What’s important about this video is that people can’t deny it,” Givens told Entertainment Tonight. “They can’t say, ‘Well maybe it didn’t happen. What did she do?…What did she say? Maybe she was drinking.’ We have to have this discussion because this can happen, it does happen, it happened to me and it happens to women quite a bit. And women die from this. So, we have to really begin to hold these actions and these men accountable.”

Givens said that Janay’s situation was eerily similar to her own and recalled a time when Tyson drug her down a hotel hallway.

“I remember being dragged down a hallway in a hotel in the Bahamas on a night I thought I was really going to die,” she wrote. “Today there would have been cameras in that hall. Someone would know. I would be believed. Now the story gets to tell itself.”

Given also said that she thinks many athletes and celebrities think that their fame makes them untouchable and that the women they abuse feel the same way.

She hopes that the video helps prevent more domestic violence incidents and that Janay will find the courage to leave her abusive husband.

  • Ronda Rousey Talks Ray Rice Scandal

Everyone has something to say about the Ray Rice scandal, and Ronda Rousey is no different. She recently talked about the scandal and said that she believes that if she were in the elevator with Ray Rice that night, things would have gone much differently.

Ronda is one of the top UFC fighters and a woman who knows how to stand up for herself.

She said that she thinks every woman needs to know how to defend herself no matter what the situation is.

She also said that the reason she thinks so many women become victims of domestic violence is because they don’t value themselves or feel like they deserve better.

“You need to respect yourself and see what you’re worth and really know what your worth. Unfortunately, I think a lot of women undersell themselves; they don’t know how much they really deserve. I know for a fact that [Janay] deserves more then she believes,” Rousey said to E! News.

Janay has defended her husband Ray Rice and even said that she feels like she caused the incident and instigated it by spitting in his face right before he punched her.

She claims that both she and Ray were drunk and had been arguing that night and that they are now in a better place and have a stronger marriage as a result of the elevator incident.

Her decision to take the blame and defend her husband has confused many and caused her some harsh criticism. In spite of it all, Janay Rice still believes that she is not a victim and just wants to put the entire incident behind her and move on with her life.

  • Evelyn Lozada Condemns Ray Rice’s Brutal Attack on Wife Janay Rice

The first indication that Evelyn Lozada was really ticked off about the leaked video of Ray Rice beating his then fiancée Janay Rice in an elevator was with a tweet.

“That video has me PISSED THE F*** OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,” wrote Lozada on Tuesday, a day after TMZ released the video of Rice knocking out the woman he would marry the day after he was indicted by a grand jury on third-degree aggravated assault for allegedly striking his fiancée.

The video shows the brutal punch that left Janay unconscious on the elevator floor back in February and has led to Ray’s release from his Ravens contract and an indefinite suspension from the NFL, effectively ending his football career.

Lozada has reason to be angry and to speak up for Janay. In 2012, Evelyn Lozada was the alleged victim of domestic violence from then husband Chad Johnson of the Miami Dolphins. Johnson was charged with spousal battery and Lozada filed for divorce, just a few weeks after their highly-anticipated wedding.

Unlike Janay, who has bashed the media for ruining her husband’s career and is sticking by her man, Evelyn got the hell out of dodge despite Johnson’s public apology.

To this day, Johnson claims he never abused his wife and her injuries came as a result of her head-butting him during an argument.

The video — and the repercussions — is certainly a hot topic around the world. It seems there are few, including President Barack Obama, who have not publicly condemned Ray’s actions.

“The President is the father of two daughters. And like any American, he believes that domestic violence is contemptible and unacceptable in a civilized society,” said a White House statement. “Hitting a woman is not something a real man does, and that’s true whether or not an act of violence happens in the public eye, or, far too often, behind closed doors. Stopping domestic violence is something that’s bigger than football – and all of us have a responsibility to put a stop to it.”

Evelyn Lozada Urges Janay Rice To Leave

Evelyn Lozada has made her voice heard among the sea of people encouraging Janay Rice to leave her husband, Ray Rice, after the video surfaced Monday of Rice knocking her out in an elevator.

Ray Rice has been punished, though some say not severely enough. Rice has been dropped from the Ravens and earned an indefinite suspension from the NFL.

Evelyn Lozada has plenty of room to give advice. In 2012, she was abused by her then-husband, Chad Johnson, of the Miami Dolphins.

Photos of her head after the alleged attack were horrifying. After the photos were released Johnson was charged with spousal battery, but he denied that he attacked her and insisted she head-butted him.

The difference between Evelyn Lozada and Janay Rice is that Evelyn left. Even though it was only weeks after their luxurious wedding.

She used Twitter to vent her anger at the situation, saying,

“It’s sickening, he had no actions that showed any remorse That video has me PISSED THE F*** OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Evelyn Lozada has become an effective advocate for abused women. She is a great model for those who have been abused.

Evelyn Lozada isn’t the only celebrity woman to sound off on this situation. UFC champion Ronda Rousey also had an opinion on the video and what Janay should do.

“You need to respect yourself and see what you’re worth and really know what your worth. Unfortunately, I think a lot of women undersell themselves; they don’t know how much they really deserve. I know for a fact that [Janay] deserves more then she believes.”

Of course everyone has an opinion on the matter. I guess only time will tell if Janay Rice will ever take Evelyn Lozada’s advice.

  • Christy Mack Quiet; War Machine Fans Encouraged to Send Him Mail and Money in Jail

Pornstar Christy Mack has not posted a tweet of her own since August 26, when she spoke about seeing a dental surgeon to have her teeth fixed. She has, however, replied to tweets and engaged people in direct messaging. Perhaps she had advice from attorneys to go quiet.

Ever since Mack was allegedly beaten by her ex-boyfriend, MMA fighter “War Machine” in what she characterizes as a jealous rage, and he calls “fighting for my life”, public opinion has been largely on her side.

War Machine now faces life in prison if convicted on the attempted murder charge he is facing.

Recent news about Ray Rice’s ouster from professional football over a video that allegedly shows him punching his wife in an elevator has further enflamed the conversation about domestic violence.

One of the toughest parts about discussing domestic violence is the tendency of people to ask questions of the victim, such as “Why didn’t you leave? Why would you stay around with him doing that to you?”

Victim’s advocates are quick to point out that such questioning implies that the victim bears some responsibility or blame for their beatings.

But supporters of War Machine take this to a far deeper level when discussing Christy Mack’s injuries. They outright accuse her of faking the severity of her injuries.

Even War Machine’s brother got in on the pile-on, reacting to the news that Christy Mack was up and about.

Other fans of War Machine are still claiming she faked her injuries.

Some have gotten War Machine’s mailing address in care of the detention facility that he is being held in and are sending money to his account so he can buy things from the jail. His brother is providing that information and asking fans and supporters to send mail and money.

  • Janay Rice Defends Husband Ray Rice

Janay Rice Defends Husband Ray Rice

If you didn’t know who Janay Rice was before, you do now. Janay is the wife of Ray Rice and the women he allegedly punched in an elevator. In March an elevator surveillance tape turned up that captured a man who appeared to be Ray Rice, punching a woman and dragging her from the elevator.

Over the last few weeks the video has gotten a lot of attention and the woman in the video was identified as Janay Rice, who was at the time, only Ray’s fiancé.

In spite of the evidence of abuse, Janay is defending her husband and says that she is just as much to blame for his actions as he is. In a recent interview she criticized the NFL for banning Ray for life because of the incident.

“To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his a** off for all his life just to gain ratings is a horrific [sic]. THIS IS OUR LIFE!” she wrote on Instagram.

She has also been defending her husband in interviews over the last few days and recently told ESPN, “I love my husband. I support him. I want people to respect our privacy in this family matter.”

Back in March she talked about the incident and said that she may have instigated the fight.

“I do deeply regret the role that I played in the incident that night, but I can say that I am happy that we continued to work through it together,” she told the press conference. An unedited version of the video in the elevator which circulated Monday appeared to show that Janay and Ray Rice exchanged obscenities and that she spit in his face before he hit her.

“I love Ray and I know he will continue to prove himself,” she said at a March press conference.

Many women who are the victims of domestic violence choose to defend their abusers. Some claim to do it because they are scared, others because they love their partner so much. Regardless of the reason, domestic violence shouldn’t be tolerated and there are numerous way to get help if needed.

  • Ray Rice Scandal: TMZ Claims NFL Never Bothered With Tape

This entire situation is getting increasingly disturbing.

It was TMZ that had possession of and chose to leak the full video of Ray Rice’s assault on his then-fiance Janay Palmer (now Janay Rice).

In the 24 hours since the scandalous video was made available in full to the public, there has been a huge backlash against Rice, the Baltimore Ravens, and the NFL.

The latter two parties, in an effort to clean up their bad PR, made the decision to dump Rice.

While this is the most logical course of action, the events that occurred months before cannot be erased or overlooked.

What Ray Rice did to his partner in that elevator is only the unfortunate beginning.

The behavior of the Baltimore Ravens and NFL when the situation first came to light should have been enough for decisive action. Somehow a video of Rice dragging a woman’s unconscious body out of the elevator wasn’t nearly as alarming to these organizations as it SHOULD have been.

Instead, Mrs. Rice was forced to sit side-by-side with the man who attacked her. She was forced to “own her role” in getting KNOCKED OUT. To add insult to previous injuries, the Baltimore Ravens chose to declare this on Twitter.

By the way Ravens, deleting that tweet and the unbelievably gross Rice quote that followed, will not make them go away.

Once on the internet, always on the internet.

As for the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell finds himself having to explain whether or not a disturbing accusation leveled at him and the NFL by TMZ is true.

The site is currently claiming that the NFL did not see the full elevator assault tape at all.

Not because the organization lacked the ability to gain access to it, but because they never requested it! The implication is that the NFL never had any intention of viewing the tape at all.

This would also mean that Rice was given a virtual slap on the wrist because Goodall made his decision without even bothering with a rather huge piece of important evidence.

As TMZ pointed out, Goodall made his decision with regard to the two game ban because the abuser and abuse victim sat down and “agreed” that they were both responsible for what happened.

This is very very upsetting information to consider.

It would mean that the NFL and Baltimore Ravens BOTH had a hand in not only forcing a woman to protect her attacker, but to stand up for him and actually apologize for her unfortunate situation.

The deletion of tweets and termination of Ray Rice’s contract cannot erase that kind of tasteless and inconsiderate behavior.

Now is the time to ask tough questions…like whether or not certain parties should be joining Ray Rice as former employees of the NFL.

  • Janay Rice Breaks Her Silence On The Elevator Video

Janay Rice, the wife of suspended NFL running back Ray Rice, has broken her silence on her husband’s punishment for the domestic violence video that was released to the public.

Ray has made national news since the February video was leaked.

Now, his career is essentially over after he was terminated by the Baltimore Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the NFL.

Janay, who is the woman in the video, has remained quiet on the situation … until now. Janay took to her personal Instagram account to share her and her husband’s pain.

“I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I’m mourning the death of my closest friend,” Rice wrote in her post.

“But to have to accept the fact that it’s reality is a nightmare in itself. No one knows the pain that the media and unwanted options (sic) from the public has caused my family,” she continued. “To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing.”

“What don’t you all get,” she continued. “If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you’ve succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow and show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!”

Fans are outraged that it took the video being leaked to get the media’s attention of the attack. Because Janay decided to stay with Ray after the incident, Ray got very little punishment for his actions. Rather than pressing charges, Ray was issued to a diversionary program, and the NFL only suspended him for two games.
