Tim Tebow Sponsors 50 Special Needs Proms

Tim Tebow and his foundation–an organization aimed at empowering and supporting young people–have announced that they’ll be sponsoring 50 proms across the country this year for those with special needs called Night To Shine.

The special events will be free to everyone and will all go on simultaneously on the day before Valentine’s Day this year. A spokesperson for the Tim Tebow Foundation says the hope is that everyone involved will feel welcome.

“Everyone should have the opportunity to experience a prom where they feel loved and welcomed and we pray this event will positively impact the lives of thousands of people across the country,” executive director Erik Dellenback told GreenvilleOnline.

According to the organization’s website, their goal is to bring happiness to kids all over the world.

“From a very early age, my parents instilled in me the importance of God’s word, the salvation we have in His Son Jesus and the responsibility we have to give back to others. That’s why in 2010, I was so excited to create the Tim Tebow Foundation with a mission to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need,” reads Tebow’s message. “This foundation and all of our outreach initiatives were primarily created to show God’s love to children around the world. I encourage you to explore this site and see how we have been able to accomplish our mission through God’s blessings and the support of our generous donors and partners.”

Guests at Night To Shine will receive perks such as professional photography, hair and makeup, and prom favors on their special night.

Meanwhile, Tebow has been in the headlines recently after he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and read a mean tweet about himself, which he eventually laughed off.

“Tim Tebow is not cute, sexy, or hot. He ugly. Sorry about it,” he read.

  • Keira Knightley Reveals Her Surprising Prom Date

You know how beautiful A-List Hollywood actresses are always going on talk shows and saying that they were ugly ducklings as teenagers, or that boys never asked them out in high school. Surprisingly, that seems to be the case for Keira Knightley, who recently confessed that she went to her prom with a girl because a boy never asked.

Knightley was out promoting her new film Laggies with co-star Sam Rockwell. The British actress revealed her prom woes during a game of 20 questions, “Neither of us got invited by anybody else. No guys came anywhere near us. But she had black tie because it was black tie.”

It appears that the girl in question was actually a close friend of Knightley’s. In fact, the two are still in touch, “She actually texted me at lunch. She is over from New York visiting her mum in England and wondered if I was there to have dinner with her.”

Knightley also disclosed her teenage penchant for what Rockwell described as “angry music.” She explained during the game that along with Nirvana and Reef, that she was also into a little hardcore rap metal. “And then who were the ones who did, ‘Killing in the name of…F–k you, I won’t do what you tell me.” That of course is a lyric from Rage Against the Machine’s Killing in the Name.

Laggies is out in limited release starting today. Here’s the synopsis for the film:

Overeducated and underemployed, 28 year old Megan (Keira Knightley) is in the throes of a quarterlife crisis. Squarely into adulthood with no career prospects, no particular motivation to think about her future and no one to relate to, Megan is comfortable lagging a few steps behind – while her friends check off milestones and celebrate their new grown-up status. When her high-school sweetheart (Mark Webber) proposes, Megan panics and- given an unexpected opportunity to escape for a week – hides out in the home of her new friend, 16-year old Annika (Chloë Grace Moretz) and Annika’s world-weary single dad Craig (Sam Rockwell).

  • Prom Day Stabbing: Christopher Plaskon Pleads Not Guilty

Prom day stabbing suspect Christopher Plaskon pleaded not guilty to the murder of his 17-year-old classmate Maren Sanchez, who was stabbed in a stairwell at Jonathan Law High School in Milford, Connecticut back on April 25th. Her murder took place just hours before prom and authorities are investigating whether or not her refusal to attend prom with Plaskon resulted in her stabbing death.

Plaskon entered his not guilty plea in Milford Superior Court on Wednesday. He wore an orange jumpsuit, his feet were shackled, and he reportedly appeared impassive throughout the proceedings. Plaskon also waived his right to a probable cause hearing and opted for a trial in front of a 3-judge panel instead of a typical jury. Following the hearing his attorney Richard Meehan said he is investigating a possible mental health defense.

Meehan mentioned during Wednesday’s hearing that Plaskon is on both anti-psychotic and anti-anxiety medications.

Christopher Plaskon is presently being held on $3 million bond at Manson Youth Institution in Cheshire, Connecticut where he is under suicide watch. Charged with murder as a result of the prom day stabbing, he is being charged as an adult. He is facing up to 60 years in prison if convicted of murdering Maren Sanchez. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years.

Plaskon’s family issued a statement just days after Maren Sanchez was killed, offering their condolences to her family.

“Please know that you are forever in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers,” the statement said. “We join with the entire Milford community to celebrate the life and mourn the loss of this most vibrant and exceptional young woman.”

The prom day stabbing that took the life of Maren Sanchez will never be forgotten. Not only did it rob the Sanchez family of a beloved member, it rattled the peace and tranquility at Jonathan Law High School as well as the entire city of Milford. It forever changed the way anyone in that town will think of prom season again.

  • Michelle Beadle Heads To A Minnesota Prom

Michelle Beadle attended a very special event this weekend, and was able to add a new title to her resume … 2014 prom date!

Beadle, who is a sports reporter for ESPN and co-host of SportsNation on ESPN2, agreed to go to prom with Jack “Jabs” Jablonski when he asked her to be his date during a radio interview back in March.

Jack, a former Minnesota prep hockey player, was paralyzed during a hockey game two years ago. Jack has long been a fan of Beadle’s and was ecstatic when the 38-year-old said yes to his invitation.

Many high schools have strict rules on the student’s dates; most will not allow students to bring a date over the age of 21. However, considering the circumstances, Benilde-St. Margaret’s School made the exception for jack, allowing him to bring his celebrity date.

“I’m happy that the school actually allowed me because I know they’re very, they’ve got some really good rules here,” Beadle explained. “And, so it’ll be fun. I get to go on a school bus. Hello, it’s going to make me young again.”

Before the big night, Beadle posted a tweet explaining how nervous she was to be going to a high school prom. “I’m a 38 year old getting ready for prom. My hair will be slightly smaller and my bum slightly bigger. And I’m also nervous. What?!?!” she wrote.

Beadle then shared a series of photos, including some selfies of her and Jack.

  • Milford Stabbing Suspect Under Psych Evaluation

Defense attorney Richard Meehan said Saturday that the 16-year-old Milford, Connecticut stabbing suspect has been committed to a mental hospital to undergo psychiatric evaluation, after murdering 16-year-old Maren Sanchez at Jonathan Law High School Friday. The suspect will likely remain in a psych ward for two weeks, and won’t be present at an arraignment scheduled Monday before a judge in New Haven.

Jonathan Law students have identified Sanchez’ attacker as Christopher Plaskon, who is described as an average student who had friends, and maintained no history of violence. Plaskon had developed a crush on Sanchez, who had recently begun dating another student.

So far Plaskon has been charged as a juvenile, though there is a possibly his status will be amended to adult. There’s been speculation that Sanchez was stabbed in a Jonathan Law hallway after refusing to be the suspect’s prom date. Plaskon allegedly pushed her down a stairwell and attacked her with a kitchen knife. Milford Police Chief Keith Mello revealed that Sanchez suffered severe wounds to her head, neck and chest, and was later pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital shortly after 7:15 am. The attack occurred on the day of the Jonathan Law prom was scheduled, which was postponed.

Roughly 200 people attended a vigil Friday night for Sanchez at Walnut Beach in Milford. Some students wore their prom dresses and tuxedos to honor Sanchez as prom queen posthumously:

Sanchez was a popular honors student, junior class president and an athlete.

Edward Kovac, a cousin of Sanchez, commented, “The unexpected and sudden loss of our beloved family member Maren Victoria Sanchez is both shocking and devastating. Maren should be celebrating at her prom this evening with her friends and classmates. Instead, we are mourning her death and we are trying as a community to understand this senseless loss of life.”

  • Maren Sanchez Murdered for Turning Down Prom Date?

Maren Sanchez was possibly murdered for turning down one prom date and planning to go with someone else instead. The high school junior from Connecticut was looking forward to her school’s junior prom which she planned to attend with a new boyfriend. Rumor has it that another boy asked her to go to prom with him and she turned him down. He then allegedly stabbed her to death in the hallway of Jonathan Law High School in Milford.

The junior prom was postponed Friday night indefinitely following Sanchez’s murder. A candlelight vigil was to take place instead of prom on Friday night, with counselors on hand for any students wishing to talk to one.

Eric Kovac was Maren Sanchez’s cousin and served as a media representative for her family.

“The unprovoked attack on Maren this morning has unfortunately for our family resulted in the permanent loss of Maren Victoria Sanchez, a bright light full of hopes and dreams with her future at her fingertips,” he said on behalf of the family.

Most of the 200 plus students who showed up for Maren Sanchez’s candlelight vigil wore their prom attire.

A 16-year-old classmate of Maren Sanchez, named Chris Plaskon, has since been charged with her murder. Initially charged as a juvenile, he could be tried as an adult in the state of Connecticut. His parents are reportedly distraught over what their son has done.

“They’re devastated not only for him but they’re devastated for Maren Sanchez’s family as well,” their attorney said in a statement.

Chris Plaskon was reportedly a well-liked kid at Jonathan Law High School.

“He wasn’t a kid who was in the shadows. He was a well-liked kid. He was funnier than hell. That’s what makes it really strange,” Mark Robinson, Plaskon’s former football coach, said of him.

A Facebook page called Maren Sanchez–In Our Hearts was created in honor of the high school junior who lost her life on a day that should have been akin to a fairy tale–one she and her family would remember for years to come. Instead her family will always remember the day, but not as one of fun and happiness.

Friday’s senseless murder of Maren Sanchez is further testimony to the depravity that lurks within our schools. While parents work hard to do everything they can to protect their children from befalling the perils of a depraved society, they shouldn’t have to protect them from their own classmates. This homicide defies all logic and will likely never make sense in the minds of those left behind.

  • Nina Davuluri Defends Suspended Student

On Thursday, April 17, Nina Davuluri, the current Miss America, visited Pennsylvania’s Central York High School to give a presentation.

While she was presenting, Patrick Farves, 18, took the opportunity to ask Nina to attend his senior prom as his date, even though he had already been warned not to.

Following his proposal, Farves was suspended from the school for three days. “It is not our practice to disciple a student for asking someone—even Miss America—to a school dance,” a statement from the school read.

“However, it is our practice to set expectations for student behavior, to communicate those expectations and rules to students and families and to ensure those rules are followed within our schools.”

When Nina heard about Patrick’s suspension, she took to Facebook to address the situation, in hopes that the school would reconsider their punishment.

“On Thursday, a student invited me to prom and gave me a flower while I was giving a presentation in York, Pennsylvania,” she wrote. “I was flattered by the gesture although I am unfortunately unable to attend due to my travel schedule. I later learned of the disciplinary action taken and reached out to the school in hopes that they will reconsider their decision.”

“Meeting and interacting with students across the country has been an important and rewarding part of my year as Miss America,” Nina continued. “I always encourage students to follow their dreams through education, and I’m inspired daily by the enthusiasm and aspirations of the bright young adults I have the pleasure of meeting through my travels.”

Farves is a self-proclaimed prankster, and said, during an interview with Today’s Tamron Hall, that this is just the type of thing he does, and he didn’t think it would go this far. “This whole thing has just been insane,” he explained. “I didn’t expect any of this. This is kind of what I do,” he added. “I’m kind of known for this type of stuff.”

  • Miss America Prom: Teen’s Prom Invitation Gets Him Suspended

With prom season upon us, we keep hearing stories about teens inviting celebrities to the prom. Typical, right? Sometimes they get a “yes,” but mostly it’s a “no” or no response. Unfortunately for a high school student in York, Pennsylvania, not only did he not get an answer when he asked Miss America to the prom, he found himself facing three days of in-school suspension.

Patrick Farves, a student at Central York High School, decided to play a prank after hearing that Nina Davuluri/Miss America was coming to his school. Farves planned to ask Miss America to be his prom date. After school officials learned of Farves’ plans, they pulled him aside and warned him not to follow through with the invitation.

“At that point in time, it was 10 minutes before the presentation, and I was pretty much set to do it,” Farves said. “I was a little pressured. Everybody expected me to do it. I’m the kind of person who, if someone says I won’t do something, I’ll prove people wrong. I will.”

Farves did indeed go through with his plans to ask Miss America to be his prom date. Check out the video another student took of his invitation below. It’s hard to make out what Farves is saying, but there is no mistaking the little jig he danced on the way back to his seat.

The student was pulled out of the assembly after the invitation and informed that he was going to serve three days of in-school suspension for the prank.

“I do understand why the administration was mad,” Farves said. “I don’t want to be the kind of person to try to justify myself…I didn’t intend to disrespect the administration. I can see how it was seen as a slap in the face.”

Even though Farves doesn’t have a problem with the suspension, some students started a Twitter campaign with the hashtag #freepatty, complaining about the decision.

After getting so many complaints about the decision to suspend the teen for inviting Miss America to the prom, the school issued a statement:

It is not our practice to discipline a student for asking someone – even Miss America – to a school dance. However, it is our practice to set expectations for student behavior, to communicate those expectations and rules to students and families and to ensure those rules are followed within our schools. This practice is not uncommon and happens every day, multiple times a day, in schools, businesses and homes across America.

Let’s take the rules of parents, for example. If I tell my child to be home by 10PM, and my husband tells our child to be home at 10PM, what do we do if our child defies us and returns home at midnight? As parents, we would be remiss not to give an appropriate consequence to our child for deliberately defying us so that our child understands that our rules should be followed and respected. Schools must operate in the same way.

Yesterday’s event was a wonderful experience for our students and a once in a lifetime opportunity for our district, and it is a shame that the media wants to frame this story to sell papers and make headlines using a distortion of what actually occurred.

Even though Farves deliberately defied school officials and was suspended, he is still being allowed to go to the prom. Now that his prom invitation has gone viral and made him a celebrity overnight, he shouldn’t have any trouble getting a date, even if it isn’t with Miss America (pictured below).

  • Drumstick Corsage: KFC Spices Up Prom Night

Are you looking for a way to make prom night more interesting? If so, KFC has just the thing for you: a drumstick corsage.

No, we aren’t joking, nor is this a belated April Fools’ Day joke. KFC is really selling a corsage kit that you attach a drumstick to for $20.

You may be wondering why KFC is selling such a thing, but your guess is as good as ours. We are aware that a lot of teenage girls go days eating next to nothing so they can look perfect on prom night, but we’re pretty sure that having food close by in case someone feels faint isn’t the reason for creating an edible corsage. It could be a ploy to help KFC get back the number one spot in the fast food chicken market by attracting a crazy amount of attention, but who knows?

Without further ado, check out KFC’s video for the drumstick corsage below.

And if you want to see a “promposal” using the chicken corsage, KFC has provided a video of that as well:

Amazingly enough, the first batch of 100 drumstick corsage kits sold out, but another batch is now available. If you actually want to buy the drumstick corsage, you can order it online for $20 plus shipping. You will receive a kit that includes the corsage and a $5 KFC gift card that you can use to purchase a drumstick. According to the website, “you can customize your corsage with Original Recipe, Extra Crispy or Kentucky Grilled Chicken. Whichever best matches her dress.”

After releasing information about the drumstick corsage, KFC has been asked on Twitter to provide something for the guys. After all, it isn’t fair for the ladies to be the only ones wearing something edible on prom night, right? KFC’s answer to those requests are chicken cufflinks:

We’re pretty sure that the chicken cufflinks are just a joke, which sounds strange to say when talking about a chicken corsage, but KFC hasn’t added the option to actually purchase the cufflinks. It looks like Carson Daly will be the only one who gets to enjoy them for now.

  • Drumstick Corsage: KFC’s Prom-Worthy Offering

What’s stylish, romantic, floral, and finger-lickin’ good? It’s the Chicken Corsage from KFC, and it’s the real deal.

KFC went up in arms—or rather, drumsticks—with Louisville-based florist Nanz & Kraft to come up with a killer accessory for prom season. The two Kentucky companies’ limited-edition corsage kit costs $20 and comes with a KFC gift card worth $5 that can be used to redeem the drumstick. The kit can be ordered online.

The card can be used to pick out the drumstick, and buyers can have a choice of Original Recipe, Kentucky Grilled Chicken, or Extra Crispy. The drumstick will then rest on the corsage’s bed of fresh baby’s breath flowers (silk ones for-out-of-town orders) and held in place by a lace ribbon.

How To Use The KFC Drumstick Corsage

The ad for the chicken corsage shows a young man in a suit and tie nervously waiting outside the house of his date. In his hands is a cardboard box with a pink ribbon wrapped around it. Soon enough his date’s father opens the door and lets him in.

The next scene shows the boy sitting between his date’s parents on a black sofa. He stares straight ahead as Dad stares at him. At the sound of footsteps he and his date’s mother turn to look at the stairs, and we can see the young man’s date descending in a long white dress.

The young man stands up, cardboard box in hand. His date approaches him and pins a corsage to his jacket. He looks at her for a moment then at his box, while she smiles in anticipation. He opens the box and she simply stares. He pulls out the corsage, saying “It’s Original Recipe…I know how much you like Original Recipe.”

The girl says nothing, giving a small shrug of “okay” and she lets him tie the corsage around her left wrist. She looks at her parents. He mother looks as surprised as she is while her dad looks on with approval. She brings the corsage to her nose and says, “That smells wonderful.”

The young man smiles and nods in relief and off they go to the prom. They dance, and as he leans over for a kiss, she also leans over…for a big bite.

  • KFC Corsage: Put a Wing on it for Prom

KFC Corsage: Put a Wing on it for Prom

One fast food restaurant is taking prom wardrobe ideas to a whole new level.

KFC recently teamed up with Kentucky florist company, Nanz & Kraft, to debut a fashionable, but yet irresistible corsage.

The chicken franchise is now selling prom corsages embellished with baby’s breath flowers and an attached chicken drumstick.

(Yea, I know. I’m thinking the same thing you are right about now.)

Surprisingly, the $20 corsage is already attracting buzz online-specifically on Twitter.

According to People, the KFC corsage is definitely a memorable piece to invest in:

“Prom is about making memories, and what’s more memorable than being presented with this in front of your parents, and trying not to get chicken grease on your date’s rental tux?”

The corsage doesn’t come with a piece of chicken, but instead a $5 gift card to any restaurant location. However, you could always make your way to KFC right before prom, buy your favorite styled chicken of choice, and place it on the tiny flower arrangement.

One high school kid has already experienced how beneficial the KFC corsage is for a prom proposal:

In KFC’s rather funny advertisement for the corsage, you can tell that the company is enjoying this idea a little too much.

    The advertisement reads:

“Love can be awkward. Make it less awkward by surprising your date with a corsage that will make her eyes light up and her mouth water.”

Clearly, they aren’t taking this too serious because the commercial is quite strange, but super funny-especially the kissing scene:

KFC says that they only have an inventory of 100 corsages and 20 have already been sold, including an order for a wedding ceremony in Kentucky.

So, if you’re interested in making a tasty fashion statement, move quickly because they are running out fast.

  • Pot Brownie Prom Dress Scheme Could Lead To Deportation

Prom season is upon us, and with the pressures of paying for expensive dresses, hair, and nails comes new and inventive ways to raise cash. However, a California teen is facing deportation to Mexico because of her own methods, and some of her classmates think it’s unfair.

Saira Munoz hatched a plan to sell pot brownies at school to raise the dough, and hired a fellow student to help sell them. But when a classmate got sick and had to be rushed to the hospital, then-18-year old Munoz was busted and, because she hired a minor to carry out her plan, she has now been charged with employing a minor to sell marijuana, which is a felony. On Monday, she was sentenced to four years probation and nine days of jail time, but she also faces deportation; because she came to the U.S. on temporary permission in 2000, the felony charge could mean she’ll be sent back to Mexico. Her friends don’t think the punishment matches the crime, however.

“People make mistakes,” said Carlos Robles. “I was hurt, because she got arrested, and nobody wanted to see somebody we cared about go away. She was just a very positive person. I just don’t like the turnout of this.”

According to Twitter, Munoz isn’t the only teen using weed to her benefit for prom; someone allegedly asked their date to the big night by spelling it out in a very creative way (via Buzzfeed).

  • Texans Cheerleader Says ‘Yes’ To Prom Invite

Mike Ramirez, 17, has had his dream come true after a Texans cheerleader agreed to go to his senior prom with him.

Mike, a senior at Crosby High School, reached out to Caitlyn, 20, on Twitter and asked if she would go to prom with him if he could get 10,000 re-tweets. “I was talking to my friend Colton about prom and I just said, ‘Man, what if I asked a Texans cheerleader to prom,’ so I did,” Ramirez explained. “So I sent her a message and she replied like instantly and said she’d do it.”

Mike did not expect her to respond, and really did not expect her to agree. “Honestly, I didn’t think she’d respond,” he said. “But, you don’t hit unless you swing.”

He sent the original tweet on February 26 that read: ”10,000 Retweets and I’ll be taking a texans cheerleader to prom.” A few short hours later, he had already reached over 2,000 re-tweets, and in less that 24 hours, he had reached his goal with a little help from Nick Wright and John Lopez of SportsRadio 610.

“I’m so excited,” Mike said. “My buddies are excited for me too. They said I have to do it big, so that’s what I’m going to do.”

Cosby High School’s prom is set to take place on May 10 at the Museum of Natural Science in Houston. Mike has not worked out all of the details of the night, but he says he will be taking Caitlyn out for sushi, her favorite food, and they will be riding in style in a complimentary Hummer limo.

  • Texans Cheerleader To Attend Prom With High Schooler

Dreams can come true. If you just happen to be high school senior Mike Ramirez, and that special dream involves taking a cheerleader from the Houston Texans to prom, then dreams definitely come true.

The Crosby High School senior asked beautiful Caitlyn Beth, who just happens to be a Houston Texans cheerleader, to be his prom date. The 20-year-old blonde beauty agreed if Ramirez could reach 10,000 retweets on his Twitter account, and luckily he did.

“I’m so excited. My buddies are excited for me too. They said I have to do it big, so that’s what I’m going to do.” Seventeen-year-old Ramirez said before adding, “Honestly, I didn’t think she’d respond, but you don’t hit unless you swing.”

Friends and Twitter followers of the high school student are excited to hear the positive news. According to Colten Watley, “I thought she was going to blow it off because she’s a Houston Texans cheerleader right? Yes, she’s a professional and he’s just a high school student.”

Ramirez had voiced his desire to find the perfect date for the special evening. “Got the asking prom idea, now I just need the right girl.” Caitlyn was flattered by the invitation and shared her own thoughts on the offer. “I thought it was the sweetest thing ever and I immediately said yes,” Caitlyn said.

  • Miley Cyrus Responds To Prom Invitation

Miley Cyrus Responds To Prom Invitation

Miley Cyrus, the Bangerz singer who has recently stirred up tons of controversy over her racy performances and music videos, has been asked to go to the prom with high school student Matt Peterson.

Peterson uploaded a video on YouTube, which has since gone viral, asking Cyrus to be his date for his senior prom. Peterson started the video, wearing a black “Team Miley” tee shirt, by jogging Miley’s memory about the first time they met.

Apparently, in 2009, Miley picked Matt, out of thousands of screaming girls, to come hang out with her. During their first encounter, Matt broke down in tears as he met is idol. Several months later, during her Wonder World tour, Cyrus gave Peterson a shout out at one of her concerts.

Later in the video, Matt can be seen standing naked, covering himself with a foam finger, holding a bouquet of roses. He then gets up the courage to do what he had set out to do… ask Miley to go with him to his prom.

“I have been a fan of yours from the beginning. You’ve changed my life, and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life. In order to do that, allow me to take you to my Prom on May 3, 2014,” he wrote under his YouTube video. “I promise you, we will have a great time.”

On Saturday, Cyrus took to Twitter to respond to Peterson’s invitation. While she politely denied his request, she did give him a counter offer, asking him to come hang with her during her show in Arizona.

“Dear Matt Peterson, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to prom BUT why don’t you come to my AZ show & hang w me?” the tweet read. “Don’t forget a corsage.”

  • Jaden Smith Possibly Taking Kylie Jenner To Prom

It is no secret that Kylie Jenner and Jaden Smith have been cozying up to each other, but are they a couple, and is he taking her to her senior prom? Kylie revealed to Seventeen magazine, that it is a definite possibility.

“I don’t have a boyfriend, but I do really want that boyfriend prom experience,” Kylie said. “I would want to go with someone who’s not afraid, or doesn’t think that he’s too cool, to show up at my house with a rose corsage. It would be nice for the guy to come over and be respectful and nice while my mom takes prom pics. But if I couldn’t find a boyfriend, I would want to go with one of my best guy friends, like Jaden [Smith]. I know I’d have fun with him – he makes me laugh and he is a great dancer.”

Apparently, Kylie loves to break it down on the dance floor, so having someone to share that with is very important to her. “I love to dance, so I’m definitely always the first one out on the dance floor. And when it comes to guys, I don’t get shy. So if I wasn’t with a date, I wouldn’t have a problem going up to a guy and just saying, ‘Are you gonna dance with me?’ Trust me, it’ll work for you too! Guys like it when you aren’t afraid to make the first move.”

Kylie also revealed her prom style, and says that she wants to look sophisticated and not over-the-top. “I definitely think prom should feel sophisticated,” Kylie said. “I’m not really into cutouts and all that. I would go for a more simple look—maybe a dark-colored dress and a red lip and long wavy hair; and for nails a French tip is always classic and cute!”

Where does she plan of finding her outfit of choice? Her sister’s closets of course! “For prom, I’d probably raid Khloe’s for shoes (she has the best shoes!), and Kim’s for dresses and handbags because I really admire her style a lot,” Kylie explained.

While they may not officially be a couple…it looks like Kylie definitely has a thing for her BFF. She recently posted a tweet saying that she really wanted a New Years kiss. Will that kiss come from Jaden? I guess we will just have to wait and see!

  • Kate Upton: Nina Agdal To Take Her Place At Prom

Kate Upton was kind enough to check her schedule after a Los Angeles teen boldly asked her to prom, but it turns out she won’t be able to make it. Nina Agdal, Sports Illustrated‘s “Rookie Of The Year”, is going to fill in for her.

Jake Davidson made his proposal in a video back in March and it quickly went viral; luckily for him, because it made its way to Kate.

“You can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I’ll check my schedule (wink),” she wrote on Twitter.

Her full schedule is Jake’s gain, however, as Agdal has confirmed she will be attending the dance with him and even went dress shopping on “Inside Edition”.

Not that he’d want to – a white jacket and a blue tie is a good look for President Obama. But still, come on, right?

The photos come from a former classmate, Kelli Allman, who attended Punahou School in Hawaii with the President back in 1979. TIME Magazine originally obtained the photos.

Allman’s yearbook also contains a note from Obama (then Barry Obama), which reads:

    Kelli,

It has been so nice getting to know you this year. You are extremely sweet and foxy. I don’t know why Greg would want to spend any time with me at all! You really deserve better than clowns like us; you even laugh at my jokes! I hope we can keep in touch this summer, even though Greg will be gone. Call me up, and I’ll buy you lunch sometimes. Anyway, good luck in everything you do and stay happy.

    Your Friend,
    Barry Obama

“Greg” refers to Greg Orme, a basketball player and Obama’s close friend at the time.

As to what happened at the prom:

“It was a really fun, happy time. We were all cracking up, and everyone was smiling,” said Allman. “It was pretty typical from there out as far as what happens at prom: the dinner and the dancing and the photos.”

  • Porn Star Accepts Prom Invite From Minnesota Teen

When 18-year old Minnesota high school student Michael Stone realized that just about every girl in his class had a prom date already, he decided to pursue other avenues to find an escort; he took to Twitter.

But he wasn’t after just any old girl. He figured if he had no luck at school, he might as well try to land a porn star.

After something like 600 tweets, Michael finally received a response from adult film actress Megan Piper, who said she would be his date if he would pay her travel expenses. Now Mike is on a mission to raise the funds, which come to about $400, to fly Megan to his hometown for the big night.

“I thought it was really cute, and I thought it would make his night by saying ‘yes’,” Piper told the Huffington Post.

For everyone that loves me: I’d love to go to prom with @madmike42948 and I think you all should help him raise funds to get me there. RT(image) 18 hours ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Another porn star, Emy Reyes, also responded to his offer by saying she would love to go, but no plans were made. She and Piper are friends, however, and the two of them just may decide to go together, making Michael the awesomest kid to ever walk the planet.

It sounds like something from an early ’90s movie, especially since Stone’s parents and principal don’t know anything about these plans. But since the news has gone viral and is sweeping the web, they’re sure to find out sooner rather than later.

Stone isn’t the first high school student to ask out a celebrity on a date; just recently, 18-year old Keven McGuire started a Facebook campaign to book a date with country music star Taylor Swift for his own prom. The New Jersey native has battled leukemia since he was 13. Swift replied that she would love to go, but prior engagements would prevent her from accepting. However, she has asked him to be her date to the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 1st.
