  • Millionaire Raffle Drawing Numbers Picked

    Since the holiday season begun, every week there is a new lottery story emerging. Sometimes it’s the tale of a win among the leaves. On other occasions, it’s a winner who has no clue he won. With the holidays came dreams of a better tomorrow for many, and hope of a seemingly impossible dream for others.Well for some local Pennsylvania residents their million dollar dreams are about to come true.

    After PA’s annual lottery drawing, over $5,000,000 were given away in prizes to over 6,000 winners. Four of those 6,000 winners won $1 million dollars.These four millionaires watched their numbers being drawn during the Pennsylvania Lottery’s 17th annual Millionaire Raffle televised event.

    The selected numbers for those four one-million dollar prize raffles were: 00077226, 00332500, 00339016, and 00355789. The second biggest prize was for $100,000. Four winners were also chosen for that prize.Those lottery drawing numbers were 00009710, 00068057, 00352025, and 00393530. The other prize winners did not have their numbers selected live because of the restricted airing time.

    To check if you’re a prize winner, visit the Pennsylvania lottery official site, palottery.com. You can also visit an official lottery retailer. At official lottery retailers, scan your ticket so see if you won a prize.

    For those four million dollar winners, they must claim their prize at the Pennsylvania Lottery headquarter. It’s located in Middletown, Dauphin Country Million dollar prize winners also have the option to pick up their prize at one of the Lottery’s seven official area offices. The office hours are from Monday through Friday at 8am to 4pm. Pennsylvania’s lottery headquarter’s hours are from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

    For the $100,000 prize winners, they must claim their prize at either one of the seven offices, or at a Pennsylvania Lottery retailer. All other winners may claim their prizes at lottery retailers. All prizes expire one year from the lottery drawing date.

    The Pennsylvania Lottery is the only lottery that all proceeding go towards funding programs that help elderly residents.

  • StumbleUpon Is Giving Away Prizes For Stumbling

    StumbleUpon launched a sweepstakes this week, in which it is giving away prizes to users simply for stumbling. It started on Tuesday, but it is going on through Wednesday and Thursday.

    They’re giving away prizes like a $100 Amex Gift Card and a NOOK HD – 8GB.

    Each day, they’re putting out a List Of The Day with what they consider to be some of the best stumbles of the year. The lists can be found on the sweepstakes page. You can just stumble through the list, and winners will stumble upon the prize somewhere in the mix.

    The lists are published at midnight.

    “The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of users who participate in the Sweepstakes each day of the Sweepstakes,” the company says. “No cash or other substitution of prizes is permitted, except at the sole option of StumbleUpon for a prize of equal or greater value. StumbleUpon will not replace any lost or stolen prizes. Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state, provincial and local taxes, if any, that apply to prizes.”

    Winners will be notified by email within seven days.

  • Google Science Fair to Reward Winners Handsomely

    Winners of the Google Science Fair, the world’s largest online science competition, will be handsomely rewarded for their efforts: prizes include “once-in-a-lifetime experiences like a scientific trip to the Galapagos Islands with National Geographic Expeditions, unique scholarships, and real-life work opportunities in iconic science centers of excellence like CERN in Switzerland.”

    CERN is located in Geneva and is “an organization for research trying to answer the most fundamental questions that humanity ever asked themselves, Where do we come from? Where are we going? What is the future of the universe?” It is an elite science research center that employs the brightest minds in the world. The overarching goals of these geniuses is to work together to identify frontiers of knowledge and pinpoint the origins of the universe.

    Fifteen finalists will fly to Mountain View California for a chance to become a finalist winner in their age category (13-14, 15-16, and 17-18) and move on to compete for the Grand Prize. The grand prize is a National Graphic Expedition for the winner and one guardian to the Galapagos Archipelago where they will visit Darwin’s Living Laboratory. Darwin’s Living Laboratory is an amazing zoo, aquarium, and underwater adventure all wrapped into one that allows guests to have close encounters with unique species like domed giant tortoises.

    The grand prize winner will receive a $50,000 scholarship from Google, a personal LEGO mosaic and Goodie Bag, digital access to Scientific American archives for their school, and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working for CERN, LEGO, or Google.

    Finalists will receive a $25,000 scholarship from Google, a LEGO mosaic and Goodie Bag, 1 Chromebook classroom kit, and second and third choice by random selection of one of the remaining experiences at LEGO, CERN, or Google.

    The deadline for submissions to Google’s Science Fair is April 1st.
