  • Veena Malik Jail Sentence Shocker: Actress Stunned At 26-Year Sentence

28-year-old Veena Malik and her husband, 30-year-old businessman Asad Bashir Khattak, were both stunned at the news that a court in Pakistan found them guilty of blasphemy.

On top of that, the two were given a rather harsh 26-year sentence.

“I thought [the controversy] was just something that would die down,” Malik said. “By the time I left [the country, first information reports] were registering in each and every corner of the world.”

First information reports or FIRs are court documents complaining of a criminal offense.

Even though Veena Malik is a native to Pakistan, she owes much of her current fame to her Bollywood stardom.

She experienced major backlash when she and her husband appeared on air in a mock wedding said to celebrate their recent wedding.

According to the Daily Mail, Veena Malik was said to be stunned at the treatment she received “from [her] own people”.

The mentioning of the prophet Muhammad’s daughter and supposed giggles was interpreted as a sign of massive disrespect.

As such, citizens across Pakistan were very upset with everyone involved in the production and airing of the scene, including Veena Malik.

The actress was reportedly so distraught by the controversy when it first occurred that she feared she might experience a miscarriage.

Fortunately, she didn’t; Malik gave birth to now two-month old son Abram.

During an exclusive interview with the Mail, Veena Malik continued to speak out about the ruling.

“As a person who has served humanity for 14 years, this is not the treatment I was expecting,” said Malik. “I am still in disbelief that Muslim woman, a daughter, a mother, a sister and a wife can be treated like that.”

Veena added that as a Muslim, she knew “what blasphemy is”, and felt that her actions did not qualify.

She admitted that she fled Pakistan for her own safety and that of her unborn baby. She and her husband are currently living in Dubai.

Even though Veena Malik is a native to Pakistan, she owes much of her current fame to her Bollywood stardom.

Veena Malik has been the subject of controversy in the past, but mainly due to her sexy image.

  • Teresa Giudice Storms Off Stage Of Real Housewives Of New Jersey Reunion

A Real Housewives Of New Jersey reunion wouldn’t be complete without a walkout, and Teresa Giudice was happy enough to oblige. Giudice stormed off the stage of the reunion show after viewing a clip of her aunt discussing her legal issues. The 42-year-old cast member was sentenced in October to 15 months in federal prison for fraud charges, and will start serving her term on January 5.

The clip of Giudice’s aunt Maria Perri discussing her niece’s legal issues with relatives was shown on the first episode of the three-part reunion of Real Housewives Of New Jersey. In it, Pierri said, “I don’t know what to say, but when you don’t do the right thing it will catch up with you.”

This caused Giudice to say, “I need a break. You guys can have the conversation without me.” She reportedly got up and went to the bathroom, where cameras couldn’t follow her, but she still had her microphone on. Giudice told a producer in the bathroom, “I don’t want to be out there when they’re having that conversation. They can have it without me and then I’ll walk back in. My heart was beating when I heard my aunt. I’d just rather step out.”

Giudice did come back after her other relatives who were on the show stopped talking about her upcoming prison sentence. “Do you want to tell me why you left?” asked host Andy Cohen. Giudice replied, “I’m going through a lot and I needed a break,” before pushing Cohen to move on to the next question.

Despite her prison sentence looming large, Giudice has apparently been trying her best to enjoy her last moments of freedom with her family, sharing her Halloween with her children on social media. Giudice posted pictures of her daughters in their Halloween costumes on Instagram, from whom she supposedly draws strength to face what’s to come. She also posted a photo of her husband Joe with daughter Adriana on Instagram, captioned with, “Daddys little girl.”

She went on to discuss her four daughters. Surprisingly, Teresa revealed her children are handling things rather well.

Over the past few months, lots of fans have expressed concern for the couple’s 13-year-old daughter, Gia, since she’s old enough to understand the disheartening series of events that have occurred. Surprisingly, Teresa revealed Gia is handling the situation better than expected.

“She was being strong for me, I could tell. She was like, ‘Mommy, don’t worry about it. I’ll be there…I’ll help daddy with girls…She was like, ‘That’ll make me a better mom, that will prepare me for when I’m a mom.’ I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ It broke my heart when she said that,” Teresa said.

Although she’s being strong for her mother, of course there are still concerns. Her school guidance counselors revealed she’s definitely worried about her mother. The counselors have also vowed to be pillars of support during this difficult time.

“She said the one person [Gia’s] worried about is me,” Teresa said. She also revealed the one request she has for her husband while she’s gone. Since she’s reportedly a very hands-on mother, she’s asking that he cares for them in the same nurturing manner.

“Alls I said to my husband was, ‘Alls you have to do is please take care of our daughters. That’s all I ask. Please, you’ve got to do what I do.’”

Teresa Giudice has been ordered to report on Monday, Jan. 5. Joe Giudice will begin serving a 41-month prison sentence once Teresa is released.

Watch What Happens Live airs Monday, Oct. 6 on Bravo TV!

  • Phaedra Parks Breaks Her Silence About Her Husband’s Prison Sentence

Phaedra Parks hasn’t said anything about her husband Apollo Nida’s indictment or eight-year prison sentence – until now.

According to E! News, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s spokesperson Steve Honig has released an official statement on her behalf.

Honig briefly explained the high-powered attorney’s perspective of the situation and how she plans to move forward with her career endeavors and family priorities.

Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests,” the statement read. “This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family,” her spokesman added, “and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

A source close to Parks also shared details about the alleged strain his ordeal has put on their family. Nida has reportedly neglected his children all summer because he’s “been out partying every single night.”

The source also revealed financial support has been his only purpose for communicating with his wife. Since the government ceased all of his fraudulent assets, he hasn’t been as financially independent as he once was. Nida also owes the government $2 million in restitution, so he’s reportedly concerned about whether or not Parks is going to assist him with footing that bill.

“When he does speak to Phaedra, it’s always about money,” the source said. “He owes a huge debt in restitution and he wants to know if she’s going to help him with it. ‘Are you going to give me money?’ is always his question. He still wants her financial support.”

If the divorce rumors turn out to be true, Nida is definitely going to be stuck with the bill. Christian Today recently reported the restitution penalty could be one of the biggest motivating factors for Parks decision to proceed with divorce.

Will Phaedra Parks divorce Apollo Nida? She has yet to confirm or deny the rumors. So, only time will tell.

  • Jesse Jackson Jr., Former Illinois Rep., Moved to Alabama Prison

Former Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. has been spending time in a North Carolina federal prison since October of last year. Jackson is in custody for looting $750,000 from his treasury that he used for purchasing elk heads, celebrity memorabilia, and other luxury items. He served in office from 1995 until his resignation in 2012.

Over a month ago, Jackson was placed in solitary confinement for up to five days for giving advice to other prisoners about their rights in prison. After his hearing, he was cleared of any offence and he asked to be transferred to another prison.

According to sources, Jackson, who is Inmate No. 32451-016, is now located in a prison in Montgomery, Alabama. The transfer happened on Friday, said Chris Burke, spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons. The details regarding the transfer were not disclosed for privacy and security reasons.

Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., Jackson’s father, said that the transfer was regarding “a medical situation,” and that his son’s health was improving. Jackson Jr. is said to be undergoing treatment for his bipolar disorder.

According to Santita Jackson, Jackson’s sister, her brother wanted to make a contribution when he entered prison. She said, “He wanted to be of service to people serving time with him.”

Jackson’s wife, Sandy, has been visiting her husband in prison together with their two kids. She is also pleaded guilty to conspiring in looting the campaign funds. She has been sentenced to a year in prison, but will serve her time when her husband is released. These terms were given to the couple in consideration of their children.

Jackson’s release date is set for December 31, 2015. However, authorities say that he could leave prison earlier than the projected date if he becomes a model inmate. If released earlier, Jackson will be spending time in a halfway house.
