  • Kate Middleton & Prince William Still Waiting

Kate Middleton and Prince William, also known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge since their wedding in April of 2011, are still anxiously awaiting the birth of their first born. The baby, whether it be a boy or a girl will be third in line to the throne.

With her due date of July 11 passing, the whole world is on stand-by waiting to see when the royal baby will make it’s grand entrance. The delivery is set to take place in the same hospital where Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William 31 years ago, in a private wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Prince Harry was also born in the same hospital. The baby will be delivered by Marcus Setchell, formerly the Queen’s gynecologist.

Having no air conditioning at their home, in Nottingham Cottage, and temperatures reaching near 90 degrees and breaking records, Middleton spent this past weekend cooling off at her parents house in Bucklebury, Berkshire. Her parent’s house has a pool, BBQ patio, and other amenities that will be used to help keep Middleton as comfortable as possible, while she continues to wait.

An insider spoke to “Us” magazine saying, “It was just too warm in Nott Cott. She decided to spend the weekend with mum and dad. Much more comfortable.”

Another insider stated that “Kate wanted to spend what will probably be her last weekend before the baby is born having a normal time with her family. She wanted to get away from the stuffiness of Kensington Palace while William played polo. She and William are very much the modern royals – she wanted a break from London to spend a sunny weekend in the garden with her family.”

  • Royal Baby Watch Underway Outside Hospital

As Kate Middleton and Prince William anxiously await the arrival of their baby, members of the press have already begun camping out in front of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, which is where Will himself came into the world.

The baby is expected any day now, and the parents have chosen not to know the sex so it will be a surprise to all of us. The palace will make an announcement once Kate is admitted to the hospital, and then a formal announcement will be displayed in front of Buckingham Palace once the baby is born.

The royal couple have faced some tough times in the last nine months; between the topless photo scandal that rocked the royal family, the ensuing lawsuits, the invasion of Kate’s privacy by paparazzi who were desperate to nab photos of her baby bump while she was on vacation, her hospitalization for extreme morning sickness, and the suicide of a nurse who gave Kate’s information to two DJ’s from Australia who were playing a prank, it’s been a rocky year to say the least.

The baby will now be third in line to take the throne, knocking Prince Harry out of that spot due to recent rule changes made by the palace. While there’s been no word of a name yet, it’s a safe bet it will be a traditional one in accordance with royal custom.

  • Kate Baby Bump Photos Displease Palace

Kate Middleton has been under scrutiny for years now, but ever since word got out that she’s pregnant with a royal baby, the poor girl can’t catch a break from the photographers.

Middleton found herself in the center of a scandal last summer when she was snapped topless while sunbathing at a private residence in France; the family later became involved in a lawsuit with Closer France, the magazine that printed the photos. In a statement regarding the incident, the Palace representatives said, “Their royal highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner.”

Now another magazine, Chi, has obtained photos of Kate and William on vacation on the island of Mustique and have printed the pictures, which show a little “baby bump” beneath her bikini…and the Palace isn’t happy.

“We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas,” St. James Palace said in a statement. “This is a clear breach of the couple’s right to privacy.”

The world has found itself caught up in baby mania since news of the royal child broke, and reached a frenzy when the Duchess was admitted to the hospital in December with acute morning sickness. A radio prank gone awry played a part in the suicide of a nurse who was on duty at the time, making international headlines.

  • Middleton Premiere: “Hobbit” Appearance Canceled

Kate Middleton was scheduled to attend tomorrow’s London premiere of “The Hobbit”, but won’t be able to attend due to the extreme morning sickness she’s experiencing while pregnant.

The Duchess was famously hospitalized for the condition earlier this month, which resulted in a highly publicized prank call to the hospital by two Australian radio DJs and ended in a nurse taking her own life during the backlash.

The condition, called Hyperemesis Gravidarum, is not too common anymore and involves severe nausea at all times of the day during pregnancy. The Palace released a statement regarding her condition and the cancellation of her appearance at the film premiere, saying that due to a wish for privacy, they won’t be giving constant updates on how she’s doing.

“The Duchess of Cambridge will not attend The Hobbit Premiere tomorrow evening and will continue to rest privately. The Duke of Cambridge will attend as planned…until further notice, to allow the Duchess a degree of privacy during her pregnancy, we do not intend to offer regular condition checks or advise of routine developments.”

Prince William did comment on his wife’s struggles recently, saying she feels the sickness will never end.

“I don’t know why they call it morning sickness — they should call it all day and all night sickness. [Recovery is] a long old process but she is getting there. She feels like it is going to go on forever.”

  • Kate Middleton: Pregnant At Last!

After months of speculation and rumors and pointing out a “baby bump” that no one could really see, fans of the Duchess of Cambridge can relax: she’s officially preggers, according to a statement released by the Palace.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

Kate and Will have been busy of late, with Will on duty for the military and Kate fulfilling her many obligations. The couple has also been forced to battle some controversy since the summer, when Kate was photographed sunbathing topless at a private residence in France. The editor of the tabloid which published the photos has since resigned amid a wave of backlash.

Twitter has only just begun to blow up at the news, so expect to hear/read a lot more about it as the day goes on.

  • Kate Middleton Photo Scandal: Pics Are “Not Shocking”

Kate Middleton is the object of fascination for millions, a princess who wed into one of the world’s most famous families with nary a hint of scandal, much to the dismay of the media. So when some photos of her sunbathing topless popped up online, they immediately went viral and caused a huge backlash against the company taking responsibility for them.

Middleton was allegedly snapped while vacationing at a private residence in France–where topless sunbathing is not only acceptable, it’s deemed the norm–and although the photographers got their shots unknowingly, without her consent, the editor of the magazine which ran them is defending their moves, saying they aren’t shocking in the least.

“These photos are not in the least shocking,” Closer editor Laurence Pieau said. “They show a young woman sunbathing topless, like the millions of women you see on beaches.”

The problem with that argument is that Kate wasn’t on a public beach, she was in the privacy of the home she was staying in, and the royal family is taking issue with the statements. They are now considering taking legal action against the magazine.

  • Kate Middleton Dress: Too Much Leg For A Duchess?

I can’t help but think of Princess Diana when I look at Kate Middleton, mostly because–much like Prince William’s mother–Middleton is the object of fascination and speculation for so many. People are always eager to know what she’s wearing, who she was seen with, where she was. Middleton was groomed for her role in the royal family, so it’s likely she’s been trained on how to deal with such public scrutiny; hopefully it will serve her well in the years to come, because the attention sure isn’t going away any time soon.

The Duchess was photographed attending a posh dinner with husband Prince William in London on Tuesday, and her ankle-length white gown has been the topic of celebrity buzz ever since. The dress–designed by Roland Mouret–was long sleeved and covered her collarbone, but was given a touch of sass with a long slit in the front, which showed quite a bit of her toned legs. The question on everyone’s minds, therefore, is whether or not the dress was appropriate for Middleton, given her public stature, or if she should be allowed to wear trendy young frocks like everyone else her age.
