  • Kate Middleton: Queen Elizabeth is Doting “Gan-Gan” to Prince George and Princess Charlotte

Kate Middleton: Queen Elizabeth is Doting “Gan-Gan” to Prince George and Princess Charlotte

Kate Middleton has nothing but wonderful things to say about her husband’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. In an upcoming broadcast scheduled for next weekend, the Duchess of Cambridge shares some of those thoughts. Our Queen at Ninety will air over Easter weekend on the BBC, in honor of the queen’s birthday.

While everyone else calls Queen Elizabeth “Her Majesty,” Prince George calls her “Gan-Gan,” according to Kate Middleton. The children love their time spent with their great-grandmother.

Kate Middleton also shares that Queen Elizabeth dotes on the little ones.

“She always leaves a little gift or something in their room when we go and stay,” Kate says.

Queen Elizabeth turns 90 on April 21 but her official celebration will take place in June. Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte will no doubt celebrate with her much closer to her actual birth date.

It’s interesting to note that during the broadcast of Our Queen at Ninety, Kate Middleton speaks in her first solo interview since marrying Prince William back in 2011.

  • Kate Middleton and Prince William Take Children on Snowy Getaway

Kate Middleton and Prince William, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, traveled to the French Alps this past weekend for a few days away in a snowy setting. While there they posed for some new family portraits.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace tells the media of the royal family, “This was the first time either of the children had played in the snow.”

The spokesperson also confirmed that Kate Middleton and Prince William wanted to share their new photos with the public.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share new photographs of their family,” the spokesperson said. “The images show Their Royal Highnesses enjoying a short skiing holiday with their children in the French Alps.”

“This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children had played in the snow. It was very special and fun short holiday for the family, and they are grateful that John Stillwell [The PA photographer] was able to capture the moment so well,” the spokesperson concluded.

Prince William and Kate Middleton typically travel to Mustique each year for their family getaway, joined by members of Kate’s family. This year they opted for the cold, snowy weather instead, and it looks like everyone believes it was an excellent choice.

  • Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Family Enjoy Ski Vacation in French Alps

Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte are off on a rare ski vacation in the French Alps. While on vacation, the royal family posed for some winter portraits against a snowy backdrop.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace tells the media, “This was the first time either of the children had played in the snow.”

The spokesperson also confirmed that Kate Middleton and Prince William are enjoying a long weekend, and wanted to share the new photos with the public.

It was very special and fun short holiday for the family, and they are grateful that John Stillwell [The PA photographer] was able to capture the moment so well.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed that William and Kate flew out for a long weekend, and wanted to share the snaps with the public.

“The Duke and Duchess hope people enjoy the photos.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton typically travel to Mustique each January for their family getaway, joined by Kate’s family. This year they clearly chose something very different for their family holiday.

  • Kate Middleton Spotted Out Shopping for Royal Christmas

Kate Middleton, aka the Duchess of Cambridge, was spotted out Christmas shopping in London this weekend, likely preparing for the Royal family’s first Christmas with Princess Charlotte.

Wearing a Reiss houndstooth coat, Kate Middleton looked lovely, as always, as she shopped in the Peter Jones department store in Chelsea. She paired her look with knee-high boots. Her recent new haircut was stunning.

Alas it wasn’t much of a shopping trip, as the only thing Kate Middleton left the store with was a wipe-clean PVC tablecloth. Surely that won’t be gracing the table for the Royal family’s Christmas dinner. What do you suppose the duchess bought an item like this for?

Sources say Prince William and Kate Middleton won’t be joining Queen Elizabeth for her traditional Christmas gathering this year. Instead they will join her and the rest of the Royal family for church, returning to their own home later for a much smaller Christmas gathering.

In a recent interview, Prince William said Prince George is very excited about Christmas, and that he will be “bouncing around like a rabbit” before Christmas Day. He added that he and Kate are unlikely to get much sleep on Christmas Eve.

Christmas with two small children is a challenge for any parents, but Prince William and Kate Middleton seem to take it all in stride.

“We’ll watch George try to tackle his presents as he tries to unwrap them. It’s a very different experience at Christmas, having a family of your own,” William said recently. “It’d be nice if we got a white Christmas because we haven’t had one in many years.”

Do you suppose shoppers will catch yet another peak at Kate Middleton doing more Christmas shopping in the coming days? Surely she’ll buy more than a plastic tablecloth for the holiday.

  • Princess Charlotte Appears in Two Adorable Photos Released by Kensington Palace

Princess Charlotte, the daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton, appears in two new adorable photos released by Kensington Palace on Sunday. Kate–the Duchess of Cambridge–took the photos of the little princess earlier in November.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to be able to share two new photographs of Princess Charlotte,” the Palace said in a statement. “The Duke and Duchess continue to receive warm messages about Princess Charlotte from all around the world and they hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as they do.”

Princess Charlotte was born Charlotte Elizabeth Diana on May 2nd, inheriting the name of her late grandmother, Princess Diana. She has her father’s bright blue eyes and her mother’s rich brown hair.

It was at her christening in July that Princess Charlotte was last seen in public. William and Kate shared several photos from the special occasion.

Princess William recently called his daughter a “little joy of heaven” and “ladylike.” Kate Middleton says of Princess Charlotte that she is getting used to “her noisy big brother.”

Recent photos of big brother Prince George were released this summer on the occasion of his second birthday.

These new shots of Prince Charlotte were released as a thank you from William and Kate for allowing their children to grow up with some privacy.

Viewing these photos of Princess Charlotte as a baby make it clear she will grow into a very pretty young girl. Prince William and Kate Middleton certainly have two beautiful children.

  • Prince William, Kate Middleton Promote Awareness for Mental Health Needs

Prince William and Kate Middleton attended an event to promote awareness for mental health issues, marking World Mental Health Day. The event, held at London’s Harrow College, featured young people who suffered from mental health issues, and now volunteer for Mind in Harrow and an anti-stigma campaign called Time to Change.

It is said to be very important to Prince William and his wife to build both awareness and understanding of mental health illnesses. Prince William recently took part in an anti-bullying class run by the Diana Awards charity. The Duchess of Cambridge recently visited the Anna Freud Centre in London, where children suffering from mental illnesses are helped.

“We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be joining Mind to celebrate this year’s World Mental Health Day. Their support will shine a spotlight on mental health and we hope it will spark conversations in households across the country, amplifying the vital message that it’s time to talk about mental health,” the CEO of Mind, Paul Farmer, said.” We hope it will encourage people to think about the little things we can all do to make a difference to anyone experiencing a mental health problem.”

“The Duke and Duchess are committed to raising awareness about the mental health problems faced by young people and we are grateful that they have chosen to champion Mind’s work. We hope it will inspire a new generation of young people to not be afraid or ashamed to talk about mental health problems,” he added.

Prince William does a wonderful job of carrying on the legacy of his late mother, Princess Diana. He and Kate Middleton are said to be very real people and to be very much like Princess Diana in their charity works.

Both Prince William and his wife will surely pass this wonderful legacy of compassion on to their own children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

  • Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Enjoy A Cuppa Tea With Prince William and Kate Middleton at Kensington Palace

Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt joined Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday for tea.

    Jealous!

According to Us Weekly, the foursome have tried to get together for months, but it seems the royals were a little busy welcoming Princess Charlotte to the world.

Finally, on Friday, Angelina Jolie, Pitt and the royal couple enjoyed a private Kensington Palace meeting, confirmed People magazine.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt at Kensington Palace on Friday afternoon,” a Kensington Palace spokesman told Us Weekly exclusively. “They discussed their shared interest in combatting the illegal wildlife trade.”

Angelina Jolie, a United Nations Special Envoy, and Brad Pitt were in London so Jolie could attend a lunch at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office on Monday “as part of her work on UK foreign policy and her ongoing campaign to end war zone sexual violence.”

According to the insider for the magazine, Middleton and Prince William were “really excited” about the afternoon tea with Brangelina. Apparently, they were so excited that they waited outside their apartment 1A home to greet Brad and Angie.

Seriously, are they allowed to do that? Protocol and all…

Brad and Angelina Jolie came bearing a gift for little Charlotte, who was born in May. Although the Pitt-Jolie children are in London with their parents, the couple left the kids behind.

“Everyone got on splendidly,” an Us Weekly source said. “Brad and Angelina spent much longer with the Duke and Duchess than planned. They ended up staying for almost a few hours.”

Sounds like a pretty good way to spend a quiet Friday afternoon while in London.

It’s very proper for the foursome to meet. After all, Queen Elizabeth II made Jolie an Honorary Dame Commander — basically the female equivalent of knighthood — at a private Buckingham Palace ceremony in October 2014, for her humanitarian work.

Does that mean the royal couple addressed her as Lady Angelina Jolie?

  • Pippa Middleton Joins Tabitha Webb in Designing Clothing for British Heart Foundation

Pippa Middleton–sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton–can now add clothing designer to her repertoire of talents. She has partnered with designer Tabitha Webb to create a dress and scarf, the proceeds from which will benefit the British Heart Foundation.

Webb and Middleton created the limited-edition dress and matching scarf in white with red and pink tones that make up a stunning floral print.

In addition to designing these pieces, Pippa Middleton will take part in the 40th annual bike ride from London to Brighton, England, on June 21st to raise funds for the charity, as well as increase awareness of cardiovascular diseases.

“As an ambassador for the British Heart Foundation, I wanted to do something different and exciting on behalf of this inspiring charity,” Pippa Middleton said in a statement. “I’m really looking forward to taking part in the London to Brighton Bike Ride this month and am thrilled I was able to collaborate with Tabitha on this project to help raise additional funds and awareness for the charity.”

Tabitha Webb feels honored to be involved in this important project.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Pippa throughout the designing process and we are delighted with the outcome. The dress is perfect for the summer–either worn with a denim jacket and pumps for a casual look or dressed up with heels for a special occasion.”

Do you suppose Kate Middleton might don one of Pippa Middleton’s designs for one of her upcoming royal outings? Perhaps she might wear either the dress or the scarf when out with her son, Prince George, and beautiful new baby girl, Princess Charlotte.

  • Princess Charlotte Meets Great-Grandmother, Queen Elizabeth

Princess Charlotte–daughter of Kate Middleton and Prince William–met her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, on Tuesday.

People magazine reports that although Queen Elizabeth wasn’t at the hospital when Princess Charlotte was born on Saturday, she dressed up in a hot pink ensemble in honor of the royal birth, during an engagement.

Princess Charlotte has had a rather large procession of visitors since her birth. Grandparents Michael and Carole Middleton visited this weekend, as did Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton, arrived at the same time her mother visited.

Following Princess Charlotte’s visit with Queen Elizabeth, it is expected that Kate Middleton and Prince William–along with the new princess and her brother, Prince George–will head to their country home. The 10-bedroom mansion is located 110 miles north of London.

On Tuesday afternoon, Prince Charlotte’s birth was officially recorded.

Do you expect that Queen Elizabeth was excited to meet her great-granddaughter, Princess Charlotte? She is no doubt pleased that the baby girl shares her name. Princess Charlotte’s full name is, of course, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

  • Carole Middleton, ‘Happy Granny,’ Meets Royal Baby Ahead of Prince Charles

Carole Middleton is said to be a ‘happy granny.’. And well she should be. Not many grannies can boast not just one, but two royal babies as their grandchildren. Carole Middleton even beat Prince Charles at meeting the new royal baby, who was born on Saturday to Kate Middleton and Prince William. The new baby, of course, joins big brother, Prince George.

It was Saturday afternoon when Carole Middleton was spotted driving through Bucklebury, where she and her family live. She opted to forgo the crazy crowds in London, celebrating the birth of the royal baby outside of the hospital where she was born. Instead, Carole joined daughter Pippa Middleton, traveling to visit Kate, Will, and the new little princess on Sunday instead.

“She looked absolutely radiant. I have never seen her looking so happy,” a source tells People magazine of Carole Middleton as she drove through Bucklebury Saturday. “She was on her own and looked absolutely wonderful. As happy as a bean. She is one very happy granny.”

Both Carole Middleton and daughter Pippa were spotted inside a black Range Rover, driving into Kensington Palace on Sunday. Prince Charles and wife Camilla, visited a short time later, followed by Carole Middleton’s husband, Michael Middleton. At one point the new royal baby had all four grandparents in the room at the same time.

How do you suppose Kate Middleton is taking to all of these visits? After all, she’s the one who just gave birth to the royal baby? Even though she appeared radiant when first stepping outside of the London hospital where the princess was born, she has to be exhausted.

Queen Elizabeth has yet to meet the new princess. Sources say she may visit later on Sunday.

  • Pippa Middleton, Carole Middleton Meet New Royal Baby

Pippa Middleton experienced a bit of angst earlier this weekend when her car broke down and brother James Middleton came to the rescue. Fortunately the mishap didn’t take place when Pippa–along with mom Carole Middleton–were en route to London for their first visit with the new royal baby.

Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed their little princess on Saturday, weighing in at eight pounds and three ounces. She joins big brother, Prince George. The royal baby’s name has yet to be announced.

Pippa Middleton is now ‘Auntie Pippa’ to both Prince George and the new royal baby. Carole Middleton is no doubt thrilled to be grandmother to two royal babies.

Pippa Middleton first made news when her famous derriere graced the pages of tabloids and fashion magazines around the world when Kate Middleton and Prince William married. Pippa garnered almost as much attention as the new Duchess of Cambridge,

The media initially reported that Carole and Pippa Middleton arrived to see the new royal baby on Saturday, but new reports say that wasn’t true. They arrived on Sunday instead, as did Kate and Pippa Middleton’s dad, Michael Middleton.

It’s uncertain what Kate Middleton and Prince William will name their little princess, but Alice, Olivia, and Charlotte seem to top most lists generated thus far. Many wonder if she might be named after William’s late mother, Princess Diana.

As of early Sunday, Queen Elizabeth had yet to meet the new royal baby. Perhaps she will make her visit once Carole and Pippa Middleton have made theirs.

Despite who visits when or what the royal family names their new bundle of joy, there is no doubt lots of activity around Kate Middleton and Prince William–and that is likely to continue for at least the next few days. As anyone can attest, bringing a new baby home–royal or not–is an incredibly busy time.

  • Royal Baby Watch in London: Prince or Princess, and When Will Kate Middleton Give Birth?

The royal baby watch is hitting fever pitch–higher, of course, in London–but prevalent in places around the world. Kate Middleton and Prince William will soon welcome their second royal baby into their family–a sibling for little Prince George. Will the little prince be welcoming a brother or a sister? If Kate and Will know, they haven’t shared that information with the media.

Princess Kate (Middleton) hails from Bucklebury, and their way of preparing for the royal baby is to maintain their everyday activities.

“The excitement is bubbling away, but Bucklebury is just as sleepy as ever,” local shop owner Lynda Tillotson tells People magazine. “Nothing really changes here.”

Tillotson also says the only real sign of the impending royal birth is that people have started to flock to their village. These folks are merely mirroring the gathering that takes place outside the London hospital where Kate Middleton will give birth.

“They are beside themselves in anticipation. So you could say the official countdown has started!” she adds.

Buckelbury has been through all of this before, of course, when they awaited the birth of Prince George.

“It’s exactly the same as last time,” a local source tells People. “A new royal baby is always an exciting thing isn’t it?”

So when, exactly, is this royal baby due? The only official statement made about the due date is that the baby is due in April. As time went by, some said the royal baby is coming in mid-April. It’s now the 19th of April, so chances are Kate Middleton is very near her due date.

As with the birth of Prince George, Kate Middleton will give birth to this royal baby inside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Dr. Alan Farthing, who was on Kate’s medical team last time, will lead the team this time as well, along with obstetrician Guy Thorpe-Beeston.

Royal baby fever is running hot in London, and probably lukewarm in Bucklebury, but it seems everyone practically everywhere is talking about Prince William, Princess Kate, and their soon-to-be second royal baby. Queen Elizabeth is no doubt beside herself with excitement.

Will you be checking media sources on a daily basis to stay abreast of when the royal baby makes his or her appearance?

  • Prince William Begins New Job As An Emergency Helicopter Pilot

Prince William headed back to work on Monday at his new job as an emergency helicopter pilot.

The palace announced the news that the Duke of Cambridge is now an employee of Bond Air Services, where he is currently undergoing mandatory training to be a pilot for East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The husband of pregnant Kate Middleton is expected to begin rescue missions this summer after completing training.

The palace confirmed that Prince William completed and passed his Air Transport Pilot’s License exams in March. The grueling exam encompasses 14 written exams on a wide variety of topics that include Principles of Flight, Flight Planning, Air Law and Navigation.

After years in the military, Prince William is now settling in to what will be his main occupation, although he will continue to perform his royal duties both in the United Kingdom and around the globe, as well as continue with his many charities and patronages.

And lest we forget that he is father to Prince George, 2, and will soon be father to a second little prince or princess, which is due mid-to-late April, although the gender of the baby is still top secret.

Kate Middleton confirmed the due date while volunteering at Brookhill Children’s Centre in Woolwich, where she attended a coffee breakfast before watching a training session and visiting an on-site nursery.

  • Duchess of Cambridge: Kate Middleton Makes Final Public Appearance Before Baby Arrives

The Duchess of Cambridge, also known as Kate Middleton, made her last public appearance this week, before the arrival of her and Prince William’s second baby next month. She and the prince took a tour of the Stephen Lawrence Centre, a place for community learning and social research, in South London. She wore the same bright pink Mulberry coat she wore during her trip to New York City late last year.

According to a report from E! News, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accompanied by Baroness Doreen Lawrence of Clarendon during her visit.

Before the couple left the tour, they signed a guest book, and Kate Middleton was presented with a bouquet of flowers.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also visited a charity called XLP, known for their work with disadvantaged young people. Prince William and Kate Middleton toured the facilities and watched an arts showcase presentation.

After this outing, the Duchess of Cambridge will all but disappear from the public eye until their second child–no one knows yet whether Kate is having a boy or a girl–arrives during the ‘mid-to-end’ of April. The new baby will be fourth in line to the British throne after Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince George. Poor Prince Harry gets bumped down to fifth in line to the throne.

Do you think the birth of this second child for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be any less anticipated because he or she won’t rank as high as Prince George with regard to the British throne? Or will Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family be just as excited, knowing they’ll have yet another heir?

  • Prince George Reportedly Being Stalked By Photographer

According to a statement issued by Kensington Palace, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have pursued legal action against a photographer for allegedly bothering their son, Prince George. The photographer had reportedly been trying to take pictures of Prince George at a central London park while he was out walking with his nanny, which was the last straw for the royal couple.

According to BBC royal editor Nicholas Witchell, palace officials believe that the behavior of the photographer concerning Prince George was tantamount to “stalking.”

“There is reason to suspect that the individual may have been placing Prince George under surveillance and monitoring his daily routines for a period of time. The Duke and Duchess understand the particular public role that Prince George will one day inherit but while he is young, he must be permitted to lead as ordinary a life as possible,” said Kensington Palace officials.

The freelance photographer had supposedly been told off by royal protection officers for his behavior on previous occasions over the last five years, said a source close to the royals to the Evening Standard. “Just like any parent, the Duke and Duchess want Prince George to have the freedom to safely experience normal childhood activities, like going to the park and playing with other children, without the threat of harassment or being placed under surveillance,” said the source.

In the United Kingdom, only sanctioned photos of Prince George have been printed in newspapers, but unauthorized pictures of the royal toddler have appeared abroad, reported the Evening Standard.

Prince William could be taking steps to protect Prince George from being hounded by paparazzi in the same way his mother, Princess Diana, was pursued. Prince George’s grandmother died in a car crash in 1997 after she sped away from paparazzi who were pursuing her.

  • Prince William and Kate Expecting a Sibling for Prince George

Prince William and wife Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are expecting their second child, royal officials confirmed Tuesday.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child,” the statement from the Palace reads. “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

Kate is nearly 3 months pregnant, according to ABC News.

The baby is expected in the spring and will be fourth in line to the British throne after grandfather Prince Charles, father Prince William, and big brother Prince George.

According to Palace officials, Kate is once again suffering from acute morning sickness as she did during her first pregnancy with her one-year-old son, George, and has canceled several upcoming engagements.

“As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace,” the Palace said.

“She is at home being looked after by the surgeon gynecologist to the Queen, Alan Farthing, and the surgeon gynecologist to the royal household, Guy Thorpe-Beeston,” said a Palace rep.

Kate was due to make her first solo royal engagement in Malta in less than two weeks, but it is unclear whether she will be able to honor her commitment given her morning sickness.

British Prime Minister David Cameron offered his congratulations to the expectant couple via Twitter.

  • Prince George: First Steps Precede First Birthday

Prince George took his first steps just days before his first birthday. Kate Middleton and Prince William have shared a photo of the little prince with the media. Often dubbed ‘the world’s most stylish baby,’ George is seen toddling in striped overall shorts and a navy blue polo shirt–not unlike American babies of the Osh Kosh B’Gosh era.

Prince William took his son to Coventry’s War Memorial Park recently, during which Prince George showed off for others visiting the park that same day.

“I think George will be running faster than me very soon,” he told a primary school teacher.

“George is charging around and opens doors” already, he told local Mavis Jarvis. She added that Prince William also called Prince George “lovely.”

Despite being famous, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have insisted that Prince George will have “a normal upbringing.” Vanity Fair editor Katie Nicholl says “they take George to playdates at the homes of friends.”

Rumors about an impending brother or sister for Prince George are winding their way through the rumor mills. No one has either denied or confirmed a second pregnancy for Kate Middleton. Do you suppose she and Prince William would enjoy chasing two little ones around instead of just one?

Prince George will turn one year old this coming Tuesday, the 22nd of July. It will definitely be fun to learn how his famous family celebrates his milestone birthday. It seems the little prince has already done a bit of celebrating on his own by taking those adorable inaugural steps.

  • Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry Kick Off Tour de France in Yorkshire

    Represent!

Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry helped kick off the start of the 101st Tour de France Saturday in West Tanfield, England.

The 32-year-old princess wore a green Allie coat and Suzannah tea dress for the opening ceremony, accessorizing with LK Bennett pumps and an Avona clutch.

As for the princes, they looked dapper in matching suit jackets and blue pants.

The royal trio took a few moments to speak to race officials, enjoyed a flyover by the Red Arrows and chatted with the cyclists, including British reigning Tour de France champion Chris Froome. They then stood with the rest of the crowd in front of the 18th century stately home Harewood House to hear the French and British national anthems played.

To finish the ceremony, William, 32, and Harry, 29, flanked Kate as she cut the ceremonial ribbon to begin the month-long cycling race.

Kate and William’s son Prince George was not on hand to celebrate the start of the prestigious race, but did receive a gift from organizers. A source told Us Weekly the 11-month-old prince was given a personalized, yellow cycling jersey that signalizes the leader during the Tour de France.

Following the opening ceremony with the royals, Marcel Kittel went on to win the opening 190.5 km first stage of the race to take the race leader’s yellow jersey.

  • Kate Middleton Shows Off Baby George’s New Steps

Kate Middleton was a very proud mama on Sunday when she attended the Royal Charity Polo match in Cirencester, England with baby George and helped him show off his walking skills.

The tiny royal isn’t even a year old yet, but he looked pretty mobile with a little help from his mama’s hand. He also reportedly grabbed his dad’s water bottle and took a sip while Kate held him.

Beloved couple Kate and Prince William are always heavily followed in the media, but since Prince George was born the interest in the young family has grown exponentially. Kate made headlines recently when she was snapped by a paparazzo at the exact moment a gust of wind blew her skirt up and exposed her backside; the Duchess of Cambridge is no stranger to scandals involving her body, unfortunately, after a French magazine published photos of her a couple of years ago as she did some topless sunbathing at a private residence.

The family took legal action against the magazine, but the editor released a public statement saying the photos weren’t any more shocking than photos taken on a public nude beach.

“These photos are not in the least shocking,” Closer editor Laurence Pieau said. “They show a young woman sunbathing topless, like the millions of women you see on beaches.”

So far, Kate has made excellent work of brushing off the scandals and appearing relaxed and happy in public. She’s also a dedicated mom and had a blast with baby George at the zoo recently.

  • Prince William Better-Liked Than the Queen, Shows Poll

With less than a year to go before the next parliamentary elections in the UK, the political landscape of the country appears to be shifting back toward the Labour Party. Overall, though, the British public appears to be more focused on the royal family than on parliament.

A new poll released this weekend by polling firm ComRes in cooperation with The Independent shows that head members of the royal family are far more popular than Britain’s politicians. Also, in a surprise twist, Prince William is now more popular than the Queen of England.

The survey, which polled more than 2,000 British adults last week, shows that 68% of those surveyed have a “favorable” disposition toward the Duke of Cambridge. This is slightly more than the 63% who said they are favorable toward his grandmother, the Queen. Prince Charles comes in a distant third in the poll with a 43% favorable rating.

The only politician to come close to the royal family’s popularity is Mayor of London Boris Johnson who had a 41% favorable rating. Johnson most recently chastised former Prime Minister Tony Blair over comments on the current state of Iraq.

All of the other politicians included in the survey had net unfavorable ratings from the British public. David Cameron now has 46% of those surveyed saying they have an “unfavorable” view of the Prime Minister. Cameron’s unfavorable rating is rivaled by Labour Party leader Ed Miliband (49% unfavorable), Secretary of State for Education Michael Gove (47% unfavorable), Independence Party leader Nigel Farage (44% unfavorable), and Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne (44% unfavorable). The most unpopular politician by far, however, is Deputy Prime Minister and Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg, who has a 54% unfavorable rating.

Prince William’s incredible popularity comes just after his son, Prince George, celebrated his first birthday. Accompanying the Prince William’s second father’s day are new tabloid rumors that he and wife Kate Middleton could be expecting twin girls in the near future. The rumors have yet to be officially confirmed or denied.

  • Prince George Magazine Cover Airbrushed?

There is nothing cuter than a happy, chubby baby, especially if that baby happens to be a prince. Prince George is no doubt cute, but a recent magazine cover photo of the baby boy appears to have been airbrushed.

According to the New York Post’s editor Emily Smith, a photo of the prince at a zoo in Sydney, Australia was edited and airbrushed before it was used on the cover of Us Weekly.

“They enhanced gorgeous George with emerald green eyes, rosier cheeks and stronger strawberry-blond-tinged hair and brows,” she said. “The already adorable prince appears in multiple photos inside with darker brown eyes and paler cheeks.”

While the magazine’s version of the photo does look slightly different from the original photo, the magazine says that it did not airbrush the photo or change it to enhance or change George’s adorable features.

“The original image used for the Prince George cover was dark and bluish in tone and needed to be given an overall color shift for printing purposes,” a rep for the magazine said in a statement. “By no means did we go in and alter the color of his eyes or cheeks in this process.”

Prince George is clearly a beautiful baby and does not need to be airbrushed to look adorable in person or on the cover of a magazine. Aside from his magazine cover photo, there are plenty of other adorable photos of Prince George during his trip the to zoo and the family’s visit to Australia.

Do you think Prince George’s magazine photo was airbrushed and what do you think of the family’s Australia trip?
