  • Iggy Azalea Blames Britney Spears for Collaboration Track ‘Pretty Girls’ Failure

Iggy Azalea blames Britney Spears for the flop of their song ‘Pretty Girls.’

The blame game was first played on Sunday during a Twitter Q & A that Iggy Azalea hosted. When a fan noted that her 2015 collaboration with Britney Spears “flopped a little bit,” Iggy Azalea’s ire was raised.

The response she sent @rhuancesarr made it quite clear Iggy Azalea blames Britney Spears for the song’s failure.

Her response also fueled Britney Spears’ fans.

When the internet got wind of Iggy Azalea blaming Britney Spears and the subsequent shade she threw at her, things got even worse.

The next day, Iggy Azalea was back, saying she didn’t mean any ‘ill will’ toward Britney Spears.

What are your thoughts on Iggy Azalea blaming Britney Spears for the ‘Pretty Girls’ flop? And unless you don’t understand the English language, it’s abundantly clear that she blamed her.

And incidentally, ‘Pretty Girls’ peaked at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.

So did Britney Spears add her two cents worth to Iggy Azalea’s diss?

    She did.

Do you think Iggy Azalea should have blamed Britney Spears? Was one or the other at fault with regard to ‘Pretty Girls’ not becoming a number one or even a top ten hit?

  • Britney Spears Collaboration With Iggy Azalea Leaked — Listen To ‘Pretty Girls’

The good news about Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea’s collaboration “Pretty Girls” is that it’s catchy. The bad news is that by this time, the song has already been pulled from sites due to copyright infringements.

The two pop icons’ collaboration was leaked early Saturday morning and has already made its way to several radio stations, not to mention several sites that have advertised a free listen to the song.

While some fans might like the idea, Spears and Azalea say this isn’t the version that they want people to hear.

The 24-year-old Azalea has already taken to Twitter to request people to refrain from sharing the song until it’s officially released.

“I’m really really happy to see so many people loving it but i also just want to clarify its not an “early” release its a leak,” the rapper tweeted.

“We would really appreciate everyone holding out until monday to share links etc if possible (i know its hard, I’m excited too!),” she posted in another tweet.

The “Piece of Me” singer also shared the same sentiment, asking fans on Twitter to “hold out just a little longer” as the song will soon be released officially.

But for those who can’t wait and are in the Los Angeles area, they can legally hear the song by requesting a special Uber car with a Britney Spears signage. The select “Bee” rides will be playing “Pretty Girls.”

There’s already a smattering of reviews in the short time that the track was available online. Some have commented on the dull and dated sound of the song while others are saying that the catchy tune will be this year’s summer anthem.

Pairing two diverse pop icons like Spears and Azalea is a tricky proposition, as pop duets are mostly seen as marketing gimmicks, but “Pretty Girls” might just be the track to prove those critics wrong.  We’ll know in a bit.

  • Britney Spears And Iggy Azalea To Drop Powerhouse Duet — ‘Pretty Girls’

Pop Superstar Britney Spears is coming out with a new music video in collaboration with Aussie rap sensation Iggy Azalea. “Pretty Girls” will hit the airwaves and tickle fancies sooner than fans had anticipated.

With brewing energy surrounding the song’s release, Spears told Extra why she worked with the “Fancy” rapper.

“I saw her song on TV and I was like a kid in a candy store,” she told Extra. “I was like, ‘I love Iggy, I love that video, I want to work with her,’ and it was really weird, because a week after that her manager was like, ‘She’s a huge fan of yours.’ I was like, ‘Let’s do something together,’ so it worked out.”

Back in December, Azalea revealed to Ryan Seacrest that she has been working with Spears on “Pretty Girls”, which will likely be the lead single off Spears’ upcoming album.

“It was such a journey, that song. I got asked and it was her song, and then she didn’t think she would have her album done in time, and then I rewrote parts of it and it became my song, and I tried to make it all mine and keep it. Then she said, ‘No, no, I am going to take it, my album is ready,’” Iggy said. “And so I swung it back her way because she’s Britney Spears, you have to do that. She gets whatever she wants.”

“Pretty Girls” swung back and forth Spears and Azalea’s upcoming albums, and Spears finally got the better end of the deal – a cool powerhouse duet.

“It’s kind of really evolved into something that I was just featured on originally, into really a true duet, where I’m on the chorus with her. We go back and forth, she has her verses I have my verse, but it’s not just me kind of popping in it. It really is a duet,” Iggy explained. “And I love that. I love a good pop duet where it’s equally powerhouse. Cool,” says Azalea.
