  • Adele Pranks a Bunch of Adele Impersonators [VIDEO]

Adele is one of the biggest stars in the world, so it’s a little tough to go undercover and make herself unrecognizable.

But that’s exactly what she did for a recent TV special, and all in the name of a good prank.

Adele recently donned a prosthetic nose and chin and posed as Jenny, a nanny and aspiring Adele impersonator. She then went to an audition of sorts with a bunch of other Adele impersonators. I’m sure you can see where this is going. The shock when the group of impersonators discovers they are actually standing in the presence of their idol is amazing.

Check out this hilarious prank from the BBC special Adele At The BBC, hosted by Graham Norton.

Adele’s new album, 25, sold 2.3 million copies in its first three days. It’s only the second album since 1991 to sell more than 2 million copies in one week.

    I woke up like this!

  • Google Maps Exposes Snowden’s Snow Den Inside the White House

One minute he’s in Russia – the next he’s set up shop inside The White House. This Edward Snowden sure is a character.

If you check out the White House on Google Maps right now, you’ll see an interesting listing nestled between the Rose Garden and the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden. Tucked inside the front of the Presidential home is a shop called “Edwards Snow Den”.

Is the NSA whistleblower hiding in plain sight?

Edwards Snow Den, according to its Google+ page, is a snowboard shop located at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, District of Columbia 20500. The phone number listed is for area code (206), which is Seattle, Washington.

    Ok, so what happened here?

Someone pulled a prank, of course.

    Google told Marketing Land:

Google says that a user gamed its system by altering a verified Google business description after it was live on Google Maps. It said the vast majority of edits are positive in nature but a few bad actors do get through. It said this listing has now been removed, though it’s still showing up for me, at the moment. No doubt it will disappear shortly.

And it’s pretty easy to game the system and prank Google Maps, once you have a verified listing. Just a few steps over, in the West Wing, there’s a listing for an “CCross law firm” – a business which most certainly does not exists inside the White House.

It’s clear that Google is taking steps to remove Edwards Snow Den from the premises. The shop is no longer verified and its comical reviews – things like “Top notch info on the cheap” and “I felt so exposed, 10/10 would NSA again – are gone. But as of right now, you can still see Edwards Snow Den inside the White House.

  • Mutant Giant Spider Prank Is An Instant Classic

What’s so scary about a cute little dog dressed up as a gigantic mutant spider?

A video uploaded to YouTube by SA Wardega provides the unexpected (but absolutely hilarious) answer.

The viral video, which was posted on Thursday, features what can only be described as an ingenious Halloween-themed prank.

At the beginning we see a man in a Halloween costume (looking like the love child of the Toxic Avenger and that mutated man-child from “The Goonies”) with what we know is a small dog.

But in four different scenarios, innocent strangers happen upon what they think is a man-eating monster.

First there is a man carrying bags who thinks nothing of leaving the items behind and dashing away when the costumed canine emerges unexpectedly when he opens a door.

Upping the ante, the next scare involves two young women, a not-so-dead-body and an elevator.

You can imagine what happens when the elevator door opens.

Since spiders are easily associated with spider webs, the next pranks play off the disturbing prospect of being made a meal of by a mutant spider.

A couple comes across a twitching victim bound to a tree. Later, a man finds body parts dangling from a garage opening.

Not long after making the “gruesome” discoveries, they see the supposed spider responsible and fight-or-flight impulses kick into high gear.

The whole thing is pretty funny to those of us who aren’t the victims of a rather well-planned-out prank, but was no doubt annoying to those who probably pulled muscles while fleeing for their lives.

Of course you’ll get the party-poopers who’ll inform us that it’s obvious that it was a dog in a spider costume or who will declare that they themselves would not have run away while screaming like a seven-year-old girl.

To these persons I can only say this:

What is obvious and not-so-scary during the day or while sitting at your laptop has a way of looking VERY different in the middle of the night. This is especially true when a “spiderdog” is happened upon in a time and place when not expected.

As for the video, it has amassed over 25,000,000 views in about two days.

  • Smart Car Tipping Prank Investigated in San Francisco

Smart Car owners in San Francisco have to be wondering whether the great mileage their cars get is worth it now that they are finding themselves targets for a prank called “Smart Car tipping.” Similar to cow tipping, vandals are pushing over the lightweight Smart Cars, which can completely total the car.

According to SFGate, Smart Car tipping has been happening around the world for nearly a decade, but just hit San Francisco. There were four reports of Smart Car tipping on Monday. There have been no arrests or suspects so far, making it likely that the Smart Car tipping spree will continue.

No one knows why these vandals are targeting Smart Cars. It could be that the vandals really hate these environmentally friendly vehicles, or are just people looking to cause trouble. Since Smart Cars weigh in at less than 2,000 pounds, they are expensive property that can be easily and quickly vandalized. As you can see in the video below, it only took a few young guys a matter of seconds to tip a Smart Car over on its side:

Check out one of the Smart Cars tipped over in the spree below.

Andrew Smith was shocked to find his Smart Car tipped over on its roof early Monday and tells KCBS that the car was totaled. After getting past the initial shock, Smith admits that the prank was somewhat humorous. “Actually, I thought it was kind of funny,” Smith said. “It is just an object. I have lived in San Francisco for 20 years and I am not immune to the insanity that takes place in this city.”

Judging from the Twitter comments surrounding the Smart Car tipping spree, Smith isn’t the only one who thinks the prank is funny:

While some people are getting a kick out of the prank, Smart Car owner Kathy May says this is no laughing matter. “I am a retired licensed, clinical social worker,” said May. “But if you turn over my sweet, little car, we will not be talking out your problems. I will go directly for vengeance.”

Aside from facing May’s wrath if vandals go after her car, Smart Car tippers are also facing charges of felony vandalism if they are caught. In the case of a totaled Smart Car, someone found guilty on a felony vandalism charge could face up to three years in prison and/or a fine up to $10,000.

  • Cop Pulls People Over, Hands Out $100 in Positive Prank

If there’s a better way to ruin someone’s day and then turn it 180 degrees in a matter of seconds, I can’t think of it.

Imagine being pulled over on your way to work. Let’s be fair, you probably don’t have to imagine it. Most of us, at some point in our lives, have seen the flashing lights and felt the bottom drop out of our stomachs. Oh, great. Like I can afford a $150 ticket. Shit! I’m going to have to go to traffic school!

But what if the police officer, instead of writing you a gigantic ticket for some trumped-up speeding charges, instead complimented you on your safe driving and handed you a $100 bill?

I think I might die of shock. Check it out:

Popular YouTube channel Break, known for their prank videos, is doing something a bit different this week. They’re calling it the “prank it fwd” week and are instead pulling positive pranks. You may have seen a super-viral video earlier in the week of a cash-strapped waitress receiving the tips of a lifetime. That was part of this.

  • Woman Pranks Daughter with School Shooting Text in Dumbest April Fools’ Joke of the Year

And you thought Netflix’s sizzling bacon documentary was bad…

A 54-year-old woman has been charged with disturbing schools, breaching the peace, and unlawful use of a telephone after sending a text to her daughter claiming that shots had been fired at a Virginia College campus where she worked. It could go down as the dumbest April Fools’ joke of the year.

Police say that Angela Timmons, an employee of the private institution’s Spartanburg, South Carolina wing, messaged her daughter that she had heard shots inside the building. When the daughter tried to get in touch with her mother again and failed, she unsurprisingly called 911 to report the incident.

Authorities swarmed the location and found nothing.

Timmons admitted to police that it was just an April Fools’ joke, and that she’s always playing April Fools’ jokes like this–you know, like that makes it better.

    Mooooooooooom!

Virginia College operates branches in dozens of locations–mostly in the South. The branch involved in this terrible April Fools’ prank was opened in January of 2011.

  • Twitter Helmet Pecks at Google Glass, Facebook’s Oculus Buy

Twitter Helmet Pecks at Google Glass, Facebook’s Oculus Buy

In the jokiest, April Fools-y way possible, Twitter has fired some shots at immersive, wearable technology like Google Glass and even Oculus VR, which was recently acquired by “rival” Facebook. Oh no they di’int.

Everyone has an April Fools’ joke to tell today. Google has a couple (per usual), Netflix has a video of a roasting chicken–it’s chaos, I tell you. Twitter’s April Fools’ joke was to announce a new product called the “Twitter Helmet,” which they describe as a “sophisticated, fully immersive, staggeringly high-resolution wearable device that allows our users to interact with the world around them entirely via a custom aviary interface.”

    Hah.

All users have to do to tweet while wearing Twitter Helmet is to make a “pecking” motion.

    More from Twitter:

The product will be available for purchase mid-September 2014 for $139.99 retail. In addition to the helmet, users can also purchase Twitter Helmet HD™ accessories including a hand-tooled leather case inspired by falconry hoods, feather-shaped Wi-Fi and cellular signal boosters, and a carbon fiber chinstrap with optional wattle-form factor microphone.

    $139.99? What a steal!

You don’t have to read too far between the lines here to see that Twitter is poking fun at Google Glass. The joke is also a not-so-subtle jab at Facebook’s recent purchase of Oculus VR, whose flagship product is the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset.

  • Sochi Wolf Video Was a Jimmy Kimmel Hoax

Sochi Wolf Video Was a Jimmy Kimmel Hoax

Another day, another well-orchestrated Jimmy Kimmel prank.

Yesterday, Team USA Olympic luger Kate Hansen posted this tweet:

Holy…shit. Right? We know that there have been a plethora of issues with the Sochi Olympics–one of them being stray dogs everywhere–but a wolf? In the dormitories?

As you would expect, the video quickly went viral and news outlets began to pick up on the story. When I say news outlets, I mean every single TV news station–probably in the whole country. It spread like wildfire across social media and blogs. It engendered countless “Wolf of Wall Street” jokes. Really, really, terrible “Wolf of Wall Street” jokes.

    And it was a hoax.

Apparently, the whole thing was just Jimmy Kimmel and Kate Hansen Putin us on.

“US Olympic luger Kate Hansen tweeted a video that showed a wolf wandering the hallways of her dorm in Sochi. Within minutes almost every news and sports website ran a story on it. The thing is, it was all a prank we orchestrated with Kate as Jimmy’s co-conspirator,” says the Jimmy Kimmel Live team.

The full video reveals the whole story:

What does this teach us? Is this a moment to sit back and reflect?

Nah. Full speed ahead, internets. I’ve been fooled by plenty an internet hoax, but fortunately I can brag that this one tipped my bullshit-o-meter early and often. I’ll be expecting my internet points in the mail any day now. This isn ‘t the first time something like this will happen and it’s not the last. If a viral video seems too amazing to be true–well, it probably is–but just go with it. The worst that can happen is that you’ll get to run a follow-up piece on the hoax–with back links.

You see? This is the kind of stuff you get into when you can’t just have a beer.

  • Cameron Diaz Pranked by The Mask Impersonator on The Ellen Show

Thursday Feb. 13 marked the 20th anniversary of the 1994 superhero action film The Mask. What better way to celebrate the movie than to play a prank on one of its starring actors?

Yesterday on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Cameron Diaz made a guest appearance to promote The Body Book, one of her first holistic projects encouraging women to embrace their natural beauty.

However, the two got into a reflective conversation about the movie, which was Diaz’s first big role in her acting career.

DeGeneres pulled up an ancient photo of Diaz and Jim Carrey when they were on the film’s set. Diaz evidently looked younger in age, and of course Carrey was sporting the iconic green mask.

“What an amazing first experience in film to do that movie with Jim Carrey,” DeGeneres said.

“I can’t believe that I get to still make movies twenty years later,” Diaz responded. “You know I turned 21 on the set of that film, and I will never forget it because obviously you turn 21 and you’re like, ‘Woo, 21’!”

The 41-year-old actress continued to share how the film crew helped her celebrate the night of her birthday.

DeGeneres then interjects and randomly brings up the scary appearance of the green mask.

“When he was wearing that mask because he can be a scary guy anyway… he makes scary faces, but when he would wear that mask, would that scare you in any way?”

It was in that moment of questioning that something was bound to happen, and of course DeGeneres always has a trick up her sleeve.

“You know what was scariest? Is when he started to take it off because the process of taking it off is terrifying,” the actress said.

As the bubbly Diaz further described how the mask looked on Carrey, a man dressed in The Mask’s classic green and yellow costume slowly made his way behind her.

“It’s just like glue and chunks of sponge would stay on his face, ’cause…”

What happens next is so darn startling but quite hilarious at the same time.

Check out the clip below to see Diaz nearly leap out of her seat:

  • Walking Dead Prank Should Make You Trust Sidewalk Grates Even Less

I wouldn’t call it a phobia, but I really hate walking on top of sidewalk grates. It’s not that I ever imagine a horde of zombies walkers busting through, grabbing my feet, and pulling me down to entrails town – you know, it’s just not solid ground. Creepy.

Anyway, speaking of hordes of zombies walkers hiding under grates, AMC recently decided to promote the return of The Walking Dead by scaring the absolute shit out of a bunch of New Yorkers. Fun!

Check out all the reactions below which, unsurprisingly, include people freaking out, people trying to look cool while freaking out, and one freaked out cop. I approve of this style of marketing.

Speaking of this style of marketing, the “prank ad” is becoming more of a thing. They did it for last year’s Carrie remake, and unfortunately the prank ad was probably more enjoyable than the actual film. To promote the recent horror film Devil’s Due, promoters orchestrated a devil baby attack featuring a truly unsettling little animatronic baby. Say what you will, but at least it’s better than being forced to watch the same trailer/promo for the 400th time.

The Walking Dead returns from its mid-season hiatus this Sunday.

  • Watch This Creepy Animatronic Devil Baby Freak Out Some New Yorkers

This “viral” prank is part of a marketing stunt for the new film Devil’s Due, set to open this Friday. I’ll just get that out of the way. That by no means makes it any less funny, however.

Take a super creepy animatronic baby, build it into a remote-controlled stroller, and set it loose on the streets of New York City. How could this not be fun?

There’s nothing quite like scaring the absolute shit out of people. As one YouTuber writes,

“This video needs to be 10 minutes long.”

You gotta appreciate viral marketing done right.

  • Kathy Griffin Sends Topless Photo – Anderson Cooper Shares!

We have all been there at least once – those wild and crazy New Year’s Eve parties where remembering what we did, or what happened is, well, extremely foggy.

It is the biggest party of the year – to drink heavily – among other things, and be merry! But wild and crazy is sorta unexpected when someone is hosting a New Years show – on Network television?

It seems that is exactly what Kathy Griffin does, this year – no doubt trying to outdo her previous year’s mischief when she stunned Cooper, again. According to E News, be careful about sending sexy selfies to< Anderson Cooper - they may end up on the Internet. Anderson Cooper, a journalist and Anchor for CNN received a topless photo from Griffin! She must have started early – but Cooper, embarrassed, commented: [Griffin] “just sent me this photo of her outfit for New Year’s Eve. She’s kidding, right? Please tell me she is.”

The comedienne, Griffin started early New Year’s – tweeting about her nipples – and the freezing weather expected in New York City’s Time Square – stating, “Let the nipple freezing begin!”

Cooper and Griffin co-host CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live – and have been since 2007. Apparently she’s created quite a few shockers over the years, and the topless photo is just another one of her ‘jaw-dropping’ ploys.

One, from E – recalls that while discussing the Balloon Boy hoax in 2009, Griffin said, “Wait..Falcon? F–kin’? Falcon? How do you say it?” Cooper muttered, “You’re terrible,” and moved on.

The bold and sometimes rank but hysterical jokester – Griffin – has been known to make Cooper blush on many an occasion, in a past New Year’s Eve party, she commented, “How do you not just stare in the mirror all day and pleasure yourself because you’re so gorgeous?” Cooper looked mortified.

Another great “Griffin -Cooper” event was when she kissed him on the lips – in 2011 – and joked about watching his “balls drop” at midnight.

Probably the most unexpected, but zany act she’s done during this long running duo’s show, is when she pretended to be giving Cooper oral sex. Shortly after, on Letterman he asked, “You went down on Anderson Cooper or something as the ball dropped, What did you do to Anderson Cooper?

She came back brazen as ever – “If you think this is the part where I’m gonna apologize for trying to go down on Anderson Cooper, you are sorely mistaken,” the Grammy nominee replied. “I tried, ladies and gays. I tried for you.”

Regardless of what critics say, calling her “lewd” and “vulgar” she makes the show, and keeps people guessing – wondering what on earth she is going to do next.

  • “Cellphone Crashing”: Getting Even With Loud Talkers

It’s happened to most of us at one time or another; standing in line at the grocery store, or waiting at the doctor’s office, perhaps. You’re minding your own business, waiting to get whatever it is over with so you can get home and watch Breaking Bad on Netflix, when you hear the obnoxiously loud voice of the person behind you. No, they aren’t talking to you. They’re telling Ashley about the amazing night they had at the club, and why that bitch Veronica better watch her back. Sometimes, it’s comical, but mostly it’s just irritating. So one guy found a solution.

Greg Benson of MediocreFilms calls it “cellphone crashing”, and he does what many of us only think of doing: takes out his own phone, sits next to the loud talker, and begins having a similar conversation. His wife has filmed some of the results, and it’s pretty comical. Take a look.

And speaking of “Breaking Bad”, this is how Walt deals with loud talkers.

  • Jimmy Kimmel’s Best Kid-Trolling Prank Returns for Another Year

A few times a year, Jimmy Kimmel asks his viewers to massively troll their loved ones, capture it all on videos, and upload it to YouTube. Every time it’s great. Earlier this year, he asked men to mess with their significant others on Valentine’s Day by giving them horrible gifts. Some insane people actually did it, and it was hilarious. At one point, he asked people to unplug their TVs during a key moment at their Super Bowl parties. Unsurprisingly, people were pissed.

But in my opinion, Kimmel’s original YouTube prank is still the best. For a few years, he’s been asking parents to tell their children that they ate all of their Halloween candy, record their reactions, and post them on YouTube. Every year it’s gold, and this year is no exception.

  • Jimmy Kimmel and the Ol’ Scented iPhone Gag [VIDEO]

So, scented iPhone notifications are totally a thing – as in a real thing that exists. A Japanese company has produced what they call Scentee, a product that attaches to the headphone socket of your device and emits a scent whenever you receive a notification.

The product works with a companion app, which tells it when to give off an odor (usually when you get a text, Facebook notification, alarm, etc.). You buy refillable cartridges of scents, and right now the options include things like cinnamon roll, rose, mint, apple, Korean BBQ, and even corn soup. Yes, corn soup.

Here’s the thing – the product doesn’t officially go on sale for another two weeks and Jimmy Kimmel most certainly doesn’t have one.

Don’t tell these clueless folks out on Hollywood Blvd. Damn, Jimmy Kimmel is really good at making people just incredibly stupid.

Oh my GOD – this is a futuristic iPhone!

  • Ok, LG, This Terrifying Meteor Prank Ad Is Awesome

Ok, LG, this is really good. I don’t even care if it was staged or not, this is just a great ad.

It’s also really mean, if these poor people weren’t actually actors. In order to demonstrate the super realism of their Ultra HD 4K television line, LG decided to prank a bunch of job interviewees into thinking their lives were about to end. Seriously. It’s a pretty amazing concept. This particular ad comes to us from Chile:

LG claims that its new Ultra HD televisions can produce picture quality that’s 4x greater than full HD. Apparently, the picture’s good enough to (maybe) fool people into thinking they’re in the middle of a mass extinction event.

  • This Bachelor Party Bungee Jump Prank Is Simply Spectacular

I guess there’s no real set-in-stone guide to throwing a bachelor party. Some men force glittered women on their groom-to-be buddies, others force copious amounts of alcohol. Most of the time it’s a combination of these things.

I guess some men like to scare the absolute sh*t out of their buddies as one final, epic sendoff into matrimony. This video comes from Norway, where a group of friends decided to do just that. Apparently, our groom here is deathly afraid of heights and he’d been blindfolded, drinking, for two hours leading up to this. Finally, he mustered up the liquid courage to take a plunge off an old bridge…

  • Check Out This Star Wars-ian Elevator Prank

The last batch of elevator pranks we’ve seen have been, well, incredibly terrifying. Elevators are great places to pull off pranks – they’re small and operate with an impending sense of doom. Really, they feed a whole mess of different phobias.

This elevator prank is a bit more light-hearted. It just involves two guys, and a clever illusion. Simple. Beautiful.

  • Yearbook Prank Could Result in Felony Charge

Yearbook Prank Could Result in Felony Charge

A yearbook prank by a Missouri girl could now bring federal charges.

According to an Columbia Daily Tribune report, 17-year-old Kaitlyn Booth (pictured), a junior at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri, could now be facing a felony charge after changing a classmate’s name in the school yearbook. The girl allegedly changed a classmate’s last name to “masturbate” instead of Mastain. According to the Daily Tribune story, Booth could be charged with first-degree property damage and harassment.

The yearbooks had already been printed when the prank was discovered, and the school declined to reprint some 700 yearbooks at a cost of more than $41,000. Instead, stickers were printed with the student’s real name and placed into each yearbook.

The girl whose name was changed, Raigan Mastain, told the newspaper that she wasn’t friends with the arrested girl and “hardly knew her at all,” though both worked on the yearbook. Mastain stated that the girl’s action was inappropriate and disappointing, but that she was “shocked” to learn that Booth had been arrested. Mastain also stuck up for Booth, saying that she doesn’t think the prank should affect Booth for the rest of her life.

  • Drive-Thru Prank Involves Zombie, Headless Driver

YouTube user MagicofRahat is becoming YouTube famous for his various pranks – many of them involving drive-thrus.

You see, Rahat likes to drive his car up to various drive-thrus and scare the crap out of poor, innocent, food workers. Various pranks involve scary dolls, fake hands, and headless drivers. This time, he’s combined a zombie drive-thru prank with a headless drive-thru prank. The results are nice:
