Rebel Wilson hopes her recent experience in a bar serves as a warning to women everywhere. The Pitch Perfect 2 star took to Twitter to tell her followers all about her frightening incident.

In a second tweet, Rebel Wilson talked about what happened to her drink.

Rebel Wilson was lucky. She was able to get herself home safely. Not everyone this happens to is able to do so.

In a subsequent tweet, Rebel Wilson suggests women follow their gut instincts.

She clearly realizes just how fortunate she was to tell about her experience the next day.

Hopefully everyone–men and women–are mindful of Rebel Wilson’s experience. Keep drinks close at hand when out at bars. If something doesn’t seem right, go with your gut and arrange for safe transportation home.

Have you ever experienced anything like this while out at a bar?

  • Anna Kendrick Deadpans Hilarious AMAs Acceptance Speech, Talks Threesomes and Dead Hookers

Anna Kendrick deadpanned an hilarious acceptance speech at the AMAs on Sunday, as she and the Pitch Perfect 2 cast won the award for top soundtrack. The actress even managed to talk about dead hookers and threesomes as she and her cast mates accepted their award.

“Holy crap–this is great,” she said. “Thank you so much. We were sent here to represent the film and the soundtrack but obviously we hardly did anything at all we just showed up.”

Anna Kendrick’s trademark humor quickly came to life as she thanked the “unsung heroes of the soundtrack.”

“You’re a ruthless little group of sociopaths,” she added, “and I admire that about you.”

Referencing a three-way, towing out compliments and insults, Anna Kendrick closed by mentioning a hooker she buried and a $37 debt.

Pitch Perfect 2 was up against the Empire soundtrack, as well as the soundtrack for Fifty Shades of Gray.

In addition to Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, and Chrissie Fit accepted the award on behalf of the entire Pitch Perfect 2 cast.

Did you catch the American Music Awards on Sunday evening? What did you think of Anna Kendrick’s acceptance speech?

  • Hailee Steinfeld: New EP “HAIZ” to Release November 13th

Hailee Steinfeld is seamlessly making the transition from actress to pop star. Billboard reports the Pitch Perfect 2 star has announced both the title and the release date of her upcoming EP.

Likely capitalizing on her name, Hailee Steinfeld’s EP will be called “HAIZ.” Fans can buy it digitally via Republic Records beginning on November 13th.

It was back on August 7th that Hailee Steinfeld’s first single from the upcoming EP was released. Called “Love Myself,” she co-wrote the song with Mattias Larsson, Robin Fredriksson, Oscar Holter, Julia Michaels, and Justin Tranter. The dance-pop tune told fans Hailee Steinfeld wasn’t solely an actress any more.

“HAIZ” will feature three additional songs. “You’re Such A,” “Rock Bottom,” and “Hell Nos and Headphones” will accompany “Love Myself” on the new EP.

The “HAIZ” cover features a photo of Hailee Steinfeld, wearing blue eyeshadow and a blue blazer. Her dark hair is gathered into a high ponytail. The singer’s eyes are closed.

It’s plain to see that Hailee Steinfeld is one of many crossover stars these days, who wants a singing career in addition to her notoriety as an actress. What’s even plainer to see, however, is that Hailee Steinfeld has the talent needed to find success in both careers.

  • Hailee Steinfeld: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star Sings Again, This Time With Shawn Mendes

Hailee Steinfeld can act, and now everyone knows she can sing, too. Steinfeld first wowed fans with her pipes in Pitch Perfect 2. Two months ago she scored a record deal. Most recently, however, she exercises her vocal prowess in a duet with Shawn Mendes. The two performed a version of his song “Stitches.”

Shawn Mendes and Hailee Steinfeld are an excellent singing duo. Their voices meld beautifully in this song.

It was Tuesday when their duet showed up on YouTube.

Check out Hailee Steinfeld and Shawn Mendes for yourself.

On Wednesday, Hailee Steinfeld announced that her first single, “I Love Me,” will come out in about a week.

JustJared.com posted the following to their Instagram account, captioning it, “This song is gonna be a smash! #HaileeSteinfeld just revealed the artwork for her debut single #LoveMyself!”

Do you remember Hailee Steinfeld when she first burst onto the acting scene? She played little Mattie Ross in the 2010 film True Grit. From there she has grown into an 18-year-old young woman, and a very talented performer–both on the big screen and behind a microphone. She recently appeared in Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, too.

Do you expect Hailee Steinfeld might soon be a big singing star, too? Or will her forte remain in the acting field?

  • Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson Set to Star in ‘Pitch Perfect 3’

    Aca-Yay!

It is unclear whether Banks will once again take the helm as director as she did for Pitch Perfect 2, which has taken in more than $171 million domestically since it opened last month.

The original film, released in 2012, was a surprise hit that went on to earn more than $115 million worldwide.

  • Hailee Steinfeld: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star Celebrates High School Graduation

Hailee Steinfeld, just one of the talented Barden Bellas in Pitch Perfect 2, celebrated her high school graduation during a party in The Hamptons on Wednesday evening. She was surrounded by family members and close friends.

At the center of the party was a beautiful cake, presented to Hailee Steinfeld by Republic Records.

The cake even featured a beautiful picture of the graduate, and read, ‘Congratulations, Hailee, on Your Graduation.’

It was that graduation cake that made Hailee Steinfeld take to Twitter the day after her high school graduation party.

Isn’t that a great cake? What a lovely gesture on behalf of the recording studio where Hailee Steinfeld has her contract.

    The plot thickens.

    And then….

Oh, well. Cakes are made for enjoying–right? And no one said enjoying a cake means cutting it into perfectly sized squares and eating it on plates with forks.

Hailee Steinfeld appears to have very much enjoyed her graduation cake–and it seems she had a bit of help from her friends, too.

Congratulations to the Pitch Perfect 2 star on this exciting milestone.

  • Brittany Snow: CMT Awards Co-Host, ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star Talks Bad Wax Job and Other Beauty Treatments

Brittany Snow is a beautiful actress, presently starring in Pitch Perfect 2 on the big screen. On Wednesday night she’ll join Erin Andrews in hosting the 2015 CMT Awards. One look at Brittany Snow, and most assume she’s always had it easy when it comes to her beauty treatments. After all, her beauty is natural.

In a recent People magazine report, the actress shares a couple of beauty issues she’s dealt with over the years–including one very bad wax job.

    Can you say ‘Ouch?’

“I once went to a lady for the first time who was going to wax my eyebrows, and she told me I needed to wax my entire face,” Brittany Snow explains. “I have very, very sensitive skin, and my face did not like being waxed, so I broke out and then had to go to Vegas to promote Hairspray. In pictures I look like I’m terribly sunburned, but really it was a reaction to the wax. Never again.”

Brittany Snow went on to explain that the good looks fans see on the big screen and at events like tomorrow night’s CMT Awards weren’t always so easily achieved.

“Growing up in Florida and having naturally curly hair was a bit tough,” she says. “I had to learn to do treatments and masks to keep the frizz under control. Now, I love Kerastase and Moroccanoil products.”

One of her current beauty treatments has a twofold purpose–one of which the actress is very proud of being involved with–Biore Pore Strips.

“They were always something I used as a teenager,” Brittany Snow shares. “[Biore] asked me to be [its] spokesperson, and I was excited since they also teamed up with my charity, Love Is Louder, to bring awareness of mental health and positivity.”

It sounds like beauty goes way beyond skin deep for Brittany Snow.

Are you among those surprised that she hasn’t always easily achieved her present good looks?

Is there an important takeaway from hearing about Brittany Snow’s bad wax job?

  • Erin Andrews: Fox Sports Reporter and ‘DWTS’ Co-Host to Co-Host CMT Awards With ‘Pitch Perfect 2’s’ Brittany Snow

Erin Andrews is finished with one recent co-hosting job, so it’s only fitting she’d take on another. Just a couple of weeks following the Dancing With the Stars season finale, where she watched Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy win mirror ball trophies, Andrews has landed in Nashville, where she’ll join Pitch Perfect 2 star Brittany Snow in co-hosting the 2015 CMT Music Awards. The show is set to air on June 10th.

“Being a huge fan of country music, the CMT Music Awards are one of my favorite events of the season,” Erin Andrews said in a recent statement to Us Weekly. “I cannot wait to be around all the talented artists and bands and look forward to being a part of such a great event.”

It seems Brittany Snow is an avid country music fan, too–as well as a fan of Erin Andrews.

“As a longtime fan of CMT and the CMT Music Awards, I’m thrilled to join Erin in hosting what’s sure to be one of the most memorable musical nights of the year,” she said.

Some of the biggest names in country music will take the stage along with Erin Andrews and Brittany Snow at the 2015 CMT Awards on Wednesday night, including Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, and more. On Monday it was announced that Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker have joined this impressive lineup of performers and presenters.

Carrie Underwood leads the pack with five CMT Award nominations.

The 2015 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 10, at 8 p.m. ET.

Will you be tuning in to catch Erin Andrews and Brittany Snow as they host the 2015 CMT Music Awards tomorrow evening?

  • Reba McEntire to Return to CMT Awards Stage for First Time in Ten Years

Reba McEntire is returning to the CMT Awards stage on Wednesday night for the first time in ten years. She and Darius Rucker were just announced as additions to the night’s performance lineup.

A whole slew of country music greats will both perform and present during the evening, but not many have the longevity and popularity in the country music world as that of Reba McEntire.

The 2015 CMT Awards will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Erin Andrews of Fox Sports and Dancing With the Stars fame, along with Pitch Perfect 2’s Brittany Snow will serve as co-hosts for the event.

In addition to Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker–he will perform outside the arena–other acts at Wednesday night’s CMT Awards include Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, and Sam Hunt. Lady Antebellum take the stage, too, alongside DJ-producer Zedd for a very special country-EDM mashup.

CMT Awards presenters include Arnold Schwarzenegger (not a name many associate with country music–but ok), Billy Ray Cyrus, Cole Swindell, David Spade, and Hunter Hayes.

Carrie Underwood is leader of the CMT Awards pack, with five nominations.

It’s uncertain what Reba McEntire will sing, but it’s also quite likely that fans don’t care. Just seeing her perform on the CMT Awards stage is more than enough–for those in the audience as well as viewers at home.

Will you tune in to the CMT Awards on Wednesday evening at 9:00 p.m. ET to see Reba McEntire and a big lineup of other country music performers, nominees, and award recipients?

  • Erin Andrews, Brittany Snow to Co-Host 2015 CMT Music Awards on June 10th

Erin Andrews is finished with one co-hosting job, so it’s only fitting she’d take on another. Fresh from a Dancing With the Stars season finale, where she watched Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy win mirror ball trophies, Andrews now heads south to Nashville, where she’ll join Pitch Perfect 2 star Brittany Snow in co-hosting the 2015 CMT Music Awards.

“Being a huge fan of country music, the CMT Music Awards are one of my favorite events of the season,” Erin Andrews said in a statement to Us Weekly. “I cannot wait to be around all the talented artists and bands and look forward to being a part of such a great event.”

Brittany Snow issued her own statement about co-hosting with Erin Andrews.

“As a longtime fan of CMT and the CMT Music Awards, I’m thrilled to join Erin in hosting what’s sure to be one of the most memorable musical nights of the year,” she said.

  • Anna Kendrick: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star Hilarious in ‘Indiana Jones’ Reboot for Red Nose Day

Anna Kendrick is proof positive that not every film should be rebooted with an all-female cast. Playing on the notion of the Ghostbusters reboot–to be made with an all-female cast instead of its cast of guys–the Pitch Perfect 2 star appears in a hilarious take on an all-female remake of Indiana Jones.

Don’t worry, Anna Kendrick isn’t leaving the Pitch Perfect franchise to channel a female version of Harrison Ford. The remake is a spoof, and it’s all been done for charity.

Anna Kendrick stars as ‘Indianna Jones’ in this clip for Red Nose Day.

Red Nose Day will air on NBC on Thursday, May 21st at 8:00 p.m. ET. The live show will raise money for children’s charities. You’ve no doubt seen the ads on TV, where dozens of actors and TV personalities don red noses to promote the event.

There’s quite a difference between the Anna Kendrick of the Barden Bellas and the Anna Kendrick in the famous Grail Room–don’t you think?

In addition to Anna Kendrick, the Red Nose Day broadcast on NBC will feature Christina Aguilera, Elizabeth Banks, Jack Black, Emily Blunt, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Carson Daly, Billy Eichner, Will Ferrell, Bill Gates, Melinda Gates, Jeff Goldblum, John Michael Higgins, Jennifer Hudson,John Krasinski, Matt Lauer, John Legend, Adam Levine, Laura Linney, Stephen Merchant, Nick Offerman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Blake Shelton, Martin Short, Sam Smith, and Pharrell Williams.

  • Elizabeth Banks: Directing Success of ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Has Whetted Her Appetite For More

    Elizabeth Banks wants more.

With the success of Pitch Perfect 2, her first foray as a director, Elizabeth Banks said the experience has whetted her appetite for more.

Elizabeth Banks made her directorial debut with Pitch Perfect 2, which is killing it at the box office and stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Hailee Steinfeld. Banks produced the first Pitch Perfect with husband Max Handelman.

“I would love to direct more movies,” Elizabeth Banks said, according to U.K.’s Press Association.

“It’s really important that more women get involved in directing and in leadership positions in Hollywood, and I’m really excited to be providing an example for my generation of women,” said Elizabeth Banks.

Because the Hunger Games actress has been involved with Pitch Perfect from the very beginning, Elizabeth Banks says directing the sequel was a “natural” step.

“It did feel natural, just because I’ve been involved since day one. I think being a part of the first film and being on set every day, that was the best preparation for making this movie,” said Elizabeth Banks.

“I’m also an actor so I haven’t always had the time in my schedule to direct a feature, but I knew I was going to be making the time to do Pitch Perfect 2 as a producer, no matter what. It just seemed the natural progression to take on the directing duties as well.”

Elizabeth explained the direction she wanted to take with the Bellas in the sequel.

“One of my goals was to expand the world that the Bellas are in,” she said. “I wanted to improve upon everything that we’ve accomplished – as well as have the girls looking gorgeous, which they do. We were very protective of this franchise. The first time around, we were this little movie with singing and dancing, so much fun, comedy and heart. And this time we wanted to make sure we maintain that sense of fun and wicked humour – but grow in the musical numbers.”

Did you see Pitch Perfect 2? What do you think of Elizabeth Banks’ directing debut?

  • Elizabeth Banks Says She Has a Superpower

Elizabeth Banks Says She Has a Superpower

Elizabeth Banks says that her relationship with her husband of 12 years started with a less-than-romantic premise.

“I didn’t meet my husband and think, I’ve met the man I’m going to marry,” she says in the interview. “I was like, He’s cute. I’ll fuck him, because I’m 18 and in college.”

Well, that’s a start. She wasn’t starry-eyed. But what about now? Are they just stuck together?

“Really, what happened was I’ve never met anyone that I liked more,” Elizabeth Banks said. “In the early years, did I have crushes or little interests here and there? I know my husband did, and so did I, but we stayed together.”

But their relationship was not just about hanging in there until they were in their 40s and couldn’t go anywhere else. Elizabeth Banks says there relationship is great on all levels.

“We have always dreamed about our life together. And we work together every day, and we have a lot of respect for each other on every level. And then there’s love. And then there’s lust. So it’s great,” Banks continued.

Elizabeth Banks recently directed Pitch Perfect 2. She said it was an opportunity that she could not turn down.

“Once you get offered a studio job, as a woman, its really hard to say no because they don’t let women do this very often,” she said. “So I knew I needed to embrace it and I couldn’t mess it up. Because if you mess it up, they don’t let you do it again, and you become representative of female directors as a whole. Like, ‘See girls can’t do it.’”

Even though she is a stunning-looking woman, Elizabeth Banks is also seen as a powerhouse. She credits her comic timing for that power.

“I find making people laugh to be a really special ability. It’s like having a superpower.”

“The greatest moment I ever had was when I made John Cleese and Steve Martin laugh at a Vanity Fair Oscar party,” she says. “I’m like, the biggest fan of both of them, and I screwed my courage to the sticking place – that’s Shakespeare – and walked up to them, made some comment. I don’t remember what I said, something charming. They both laughed, and I had a drop the mic moment.”

  • Hailee Steinfeld is New Member of Barden Bellas in ‘Pitch Perfect 2’

Hailee Steinfeld is one of the new members of the Barden Bellas in Pitch Perfect 2, and she’s definitely the most recognized of the newbies. Steinfeld received an Oscar nomination for her 2010 role in True Grit.

Now playing the role of freshman Emily Junk, Hailee Steinfeld will soon be the talk of the town–Hollywood, that is–once again.

The actress knew she wanted to be in Pitch Perfect 2 back when she first saw Pitch Perfect.

“I remember driving around and seeing the posters and every time saying, “I’ve got to see that movie.” All of my friends had seen it so it ended up being like a Friday night family movie date. I just remember, if I wasn’t jumping out of my seat because I was so excited that a song was in the movie, my parents were,” Hailee Steinfeld said during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

So what stands out most for Steinfeld about her first day on the set of Pitch Perfect 2?

“Well, I remember the first day I got there, I got off the plane, having not slept the day before, and went into dance rehearsal that they were already two weeks into, which in Bellas rehearsal time is a lot of work. I thought I’d just go in and meet everyone and they’d take my measurements and do a fitting and I’d get settled. That was not the case! I literally got off the plane and was in dance rehearsal and was so completely lost and disoriented,” she said.

Was Hailee Steinfeld welcomed into the Pitch Perfect 2 cast in a different or similar way to the welcome Emily Junk received from the Barden Bellas?

“I would actually say there were more similarities than differences. Emily comes into the picture and the girls are a little skeptical. To be a Bella, you have to have certain qualities, right? So I think coming into this cast, I got in and I think the girls were like “Okay, let’s see if this girl can jump in with us. Let’s see if this girl can get into it.” And again, they were very supportive and very great, but I think there was a little bit of that as there is with Emily,” Hailee Steinfeld said.

Have you checked out Hailee Steinfeld in Pitch Perfect 2 yet? If so, what do you think of her as one of the new Barden Bellas?

And if you haven’t checked her out yet, is Pitch Perfect 2 on your must-see movie list for the near future?

  • Elizabeth Banks: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Director Talks Sex With Hubby

Elizabeth Banks–director of Pitch Perfect 2, which opened in theaters nationwide this week–talks in a recent interview with Allure about love and sex with her husband, Max Handelman.

She was just 18 years old when she met Handelman–while they were students at the University of Pennsylvania.

“I didn’t meet my husband and think, I’ve met the man I’m going to marry,” she says in the interview. “I was like, He’s cute. I’ll f*ck him, because I’m 18 and in college.”

These days Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman own Brownstone Productions together. And despite the long road from college to now, their love and sex life is still in good shape. She admits it wasn’t necessarily because of a set plan.

“Really, what happened was I’ve never met anyone that I liked more,” she says. “In the early years, did I have crushes or little interests here and there? I know my husband did, and so did I, but we stayed together.”

“We have always dreamed about our life together. And we work together every day, and we have a lot of respect for each other on every level. And then there’s love. And then there’s lust. So it’s great,” Elizabeth Banks continued.

As the director of Pitch Perfect 2, Elizabeth Banks now finds herself in a male-dominated field.

“Once you get offered a studio job, as a woman, its really hard to say no because they don’t let women do this very often,” she says. “So I knew I needed to embrace it and I couldn’t mess it up. Because if you mess it up, they don’t let you do it again, and you become representative of female directors as a whole. Like, ‘See girls can’t do it.’”

It sounds like Elizabeth Banks deals with her sex life, her romance, and her business life all with the same mix of determination and free will.

Fans can expect to see more of her in the director’s chair, too.

“I find making people laugh to be a really special ability. It’s like having a superpower,” she says, admitting she’ll definitely direct more comedies in the future.

Will you be checking out Elizabeth Banks in her directorial debut in Pitch Perfect 2?

  • Jimmy Fallon Hosts ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson

Jimmy Fallon hosted two of the Pitch Perfect 2 cast members this week. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson both appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, promoting their film that premieres in theaters nationwide today.

On Tuesday, Anna Kendrick became the first female star to ever compete against Jimmy Fallon in an epic game of Egg Russian Roulette.

Anna Kendrick was all dressed up to promote her film, but vowed she’d mess up her look to play the gooey game.

Announcer Steve Higgins addressed both Jimmy Fallon and Anna Kendrick prior to the game.

“Here in my hand I have one dozen eggs,” Higgins said. “Eight of them have been hard-boiled, four of them are still raw, uncooked, untainted by fire. You and Anna will take turns selecting one egg at a time — uno ovum — and smash them upon the top of your head. You won’t know which eggs are raw and which are hard-boiled. Once you choose, you may not unchoose. You must smash that egg upon your head. First one to smash two raw eggs on their head loses.”

“You are actually the first woman to play this game and dare play this game,” Jimmy Fallon told her. “You called it, I was like, ‘You wanna call me out? Let’s do it, girlfriend.’”

“You know why? You know why?” Kendrick shot back, successfully smashing her second hard-boiled egg. “Cause I’ve got… eggs… It makes sense.”

Check out the sportsmanship involved in Egg Russian Roulette, and see whether Jimmy Fallon or Anna Kendrick won by watching the clip below.

The next night–Tuesday–Jimmy Fallon hosted Rebel Wilson from Pitch Perfect 2. He challenged her to his popular Whisper Challenge game.

Rebel Wilson donned her headphones and Jimmy Fallon spoke the first phrase at her–which she, of course, coudn’t hear. Wilson, however, didn’t quite manage to guess the correct phrase (“deflated balls”).

“Feel my balls?” she asked, causing Jimmy Fallon to burst into laughter. He tried again.

“I’m still getting feel my balls!” she said to Fallon, who couldn’t stop cracking up.

The Whisper Challenge is always one of Jimmy Fallon’s most hilarious games.

It was indeed a fun week watching The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon as he hosted these Pitch Perfect 2 stars. Seeing how funny both Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are will no doubt prompt even more people to catch them in theaters this weekend in their latest film.

  • Anna Kendrick and ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Cast Receive Mixed Reviews

Anna Kendrick and the rest of the cast of Pitch Perfect 2 have received a mixed bag of reviews. The film opens in theaters nationwide today.

The Barden Bellas–the a cappella group that sang their way to movie fame in Pitch Perfect–are back for round two. Headlined by returning stars Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick, Pitch Perfect 2 is directed by Elizabeth Banks.

    So is their pitch–um, perfect?

The Los Angeles Times reports that according to most reviews, yes.

According to their reviewer Betsey Sharkey, “the comedy choir wars are more intense, more absurd and more low-brow fun than ever in Pitch Perfect 2. It is almost impossible not to be amused by the cutthroat world of competitive a cappella.”

Anna Kendrick “continues to prove her comic and singing chops,” Wilson’s schtick is “still funny–for now,” and newcomer Hailee Steinfeld “proves a very good addition to the chorus line…freshening up a fairly predictable plot,” Starkey writes.

Entertainment Weekly only gives it a B+ and reports that it “sometimes feels less like a movie than a two-hour episode of Glee ghostwritten by Amy Schumer; jokes fly like they’re being shot from T-shirt guns at a gonzo pep rally, and not all of them stick the landing.”

EW’s Leah Greenblatt adds that “the story also gives big, joyful voice to groups whose members have spent their whole lives being targeted because of who they are, be it black, gay, overweight, female, or just deeply uncool. Now–to quote Beyonce, a patron saint of ‘Pitch’ery–they run this mother.”

NPR wasn’t a fan, but had no problem with Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow in its review.

“The effortless charms of Kendrick, Wilson and top-notch bit players like Brittany Snow and Adam DeVine now play second fiddle to so much shock humor and extended celebrity cameos that a Saturday Night Live parody would feel redundant. Pitch Perfect 2 is singing a completely different tune from the 2012 original. And the notes are feeling a bit overproduced.”

Do you have plans to check out Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and the rest of the Barden Bellas in Pitch Perfect 2 this weekend?

  • Anna Kendrick: ‘Pitch Perfect’ Actress Dons a New Hat — That of Author

Anna Kendrick is ridiculously talented, there’s just no two ways around that fact.

In her latest endeavor, which shouldn’t come as a shock to her more than four million Twitter followers, Anna Kendrick is donning a new hat — that of writer.

Those who do follow her on Twitter know that Anna Kendrick is hilarious. There are few things more entertaining than cozying up to a good show like Peter Pan Live! along with Anna Kendrick. It’s hard to decide what’s more fun — her comments or the show.

Well, now Anna Kendrick is taking that talent to a new level with a book of essays due out next year.

Her fans are likely thrilled, but the Pitch Perfect 2 star says taking her writing from a 140-character piece to a complete book of essays is a bit daunting.

“Obviously I’m hoping to find my own voice, but having never written anything before, I’m not really sure what to expect,” she says of joining other comedians like Tina Fey, Mindy Kaling and others who have written books of essays. “But it’s going to be fun. Part of me is like, ‘Yeah! I’m writing a book… if I can.’ Is that something I can do? I’ll find out.”

As to her writing style, Anna Kendrick says it’s all her own.

“I’ve got like notes all over my phone in different places, different apps,” she told Time magazine. “I got my Stickies on my Mac, and I’ve got seven different Word documents that I just keep adding stuff to. I’ve got Post-it notes everywhere, so I’m hoping that when I get the chance to sit down and look at it all together, it’ll add up to something.”

Anna Kendrick said she has no set plan on what she will write, but will, instead, allow the musings come to her.

“If I was trying to do it like, ‘What are my thoughts on men?’ I would be like, ‘I don’t know! I don’t have thoughts on men!’” she said. “I just keep remembering stupid things that happened to me when I was younger and many, many stupid things that happened to me recently. [I’m] trying to write them down and see if it comes out more funny—or more tragic.”

Seriously, what can’t Anna Kendrick do?

  • Brittany Snow: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star Majorly Disses the Olsen Twins–or Did She?

Brittany Snow, star of Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2, majorly dissed the Olsen twins–Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen–recently. Maybe she didn’t mean to sound offensive, but her comment came off like a big insult just the same.

During a recent interview with Yahoo! Style, Snow dished on how many different shades of hair color she has used over the years, and how she doesn’t like the color that was chosen for her in Pitch Perfect 2.

“I have had every hair color!” she said. “I joke with my hair colorist. She keeps sheets of paper on every hair color that I’ve had so she has records of it all. She’s done my hair since I was 15 and I guess I have a thick folder going because I’ve had so many different hair colors.”

“I think my least favorite hair color was the hair color that I had in Pitch Perfect 2. They really wanted me to be dark red and I wanted to be lighter like I was in the first movie, but they didn’t want that. But I rocked some light red for a year, after it faded,” she adds.

Currently a blonde, Brittany Snow talked about getting recognized as a film star when out in public.

“I don’t get recognized that often,” she said.

“I used to get recognized for being the Olsen Twins a lot, which was a compliment,” she added. “Not so much anymore.”

    Ouch.

Will Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen insist that all their friends boycott Pitch Perfect 2 after that diss?

But wait a minute. Did Brittany Snow mean she didn’t think it was a compliment any more to be mistaken for the Olsen twins? Or did she simply mean she isn’t mistaken for them–or at least one of them–any more?

Brittany Snow is singing her way to the top in Pitch Perfect 2, which premieres nationwide on May 15th. Will you be checking her out in the new film–even if you’re a fan of the Olsen twins?
