  • Elizabeth Banks To Direct Third ‘Pitch Perfect’ Installment

Good news Barden Bellas fans! The third installment of the Pitch Perfect series will hit the big screen in 2017 and Elizabeth Banks, who directed the sequel, signed on to direct the third installment of the musical-comedy movie.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Banks will work behind the scenes as director with Kay Cannon as scriptwriter.

Barden Bellas Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow will also return to the film. Cineplex and fans of the musical comedy series tweeted their excitement over the news.

Banks expressed how she feels about being a female director, sexism in Hollywood, and why she wants to be able to direct films in an interview with Katie Couric on Yahoo!, saying “I wanted to use more of myself and my abilities and have more control over the stories I was telling.”

When asked why there are so few women directing, she said: “Parity in Hollywood is going to require that those in power share a little bit of that power. And that requires a partnership with the men in our industry.”

When asked about the most badass thing she has ever done she said “Directing a movie as a woman is pretty badass,” encouraging women to direct films as there is currently a small number of female directors in Hollywood.

Banks debuted as a director for Pitch Perfect 2 which earned $69 million in its first weekend in May. As such, it made the movie the highest grossing debut for a first-time director. It went on to earn $285 million worldwide, while the 2012 Pitch Perfect movie, which was based from Mickey Rapkin’s book Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory, grossed $113 million worldwide.

Banks will produce the third movie alongside Paul Brooks of Gold Circle Entertainment and Max Handelman of Brownstone Productions.

Anna Kendrick Sexy in Swimsuit, Calls Hawaiian Waters Her Office

Anna Kendrick of Pitch Perfect fame showed off a sexy look in a black studded bandeaux swimsuit as she enjoyed the warm ocean water in Hawaii.

On location for her latest film, the actress took full advantage of all the locale has to offer.

Sharing an Instagram photo with her followers–while wearing the sexy two-piece–Anna Kendrick joked about the scene being her office.

“At the office,” she captioned the photo.

Anna Kendrick’s “office” is for the upcoming film Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Also in Hawaii with Anna Kendrick are Zac Efron, Adam Devine, and Aubrey Plaza.

This film project is allowing Anna Kendrick and Zac Efron to become great friends. They apparently enjoy the same sense of humor, and love to one-up each other.

Zac Efron shared a photo of Anna Kendrick on Instagram just a few days ago–of her trying to take a picture of him.

“Caught this sneaky sneak trying to sneak a pic,” he captioned the shot.

It sounds like in addition to enjoying some time in a sexy swimsuit, Anna Kendrick has the best of both worlds right now. With the Hawaiian waters as her “office,” and great friends like Zac Efron, Aubrey Plaza, and Adam Devine around, work and play are almost the same.

Wouldn’t you love to have Anna Kendrick’s job right now?

  • Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson Set to Star in ‘Pitch Perfect 3’

    Aca-Yay!

Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will return to reprise their roles in the Pitch Perfect movie franchise, Universal Pictures confirms.

The studio said Monday that Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will star in Pitch Perfect 3, set for release in July 2017. Elizabeth Banks and her husband, Max Handelman, will return as producers.

It is unclear whether Banks will once again take the helm as director as she did for Pitch Perfect 2, which has taken in more than $171 million domestically since it opened last month.

The original film, released in 2012, was a surprise hit that went on to earn more than $115 million worldwide.

The franchise follows the comical and crazy adventures of a competitive a capella singing group.

Both Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson took to social media Monday to celebrate the news. Anna posted a selfie with the caption “Happening #3,” while Rebel shared the good news via Twitter.

  • Brittany Snow’s Biggest Beauty Blunders And Solutions

Brittany Snow recently opened up about being a normal girl who has beauty ups and downs just like the rest of us.

Brittany Snow was kind enough to tell People about one of the worst red carpet mishaps that she experienced in her early days.

Fortunately for Brittany Snow it wasn’t a wardrobe malfunction, but when you’re just starting out in Hollywood it can feel just as bad.

Brittany Snow recalled, “I once went to a lady for the first time who was going to wax my eyebrows, and she told me I needed to wax my entire face.”

She went on to explain, “I have very, very sensitive skin, and my face did not like being waxed, so I broke out and then had to go to Vegas to promote Hairspray. In pictures I look like I’m terribly sunburned, but really it was a reaction to the wax. Never again.”

How embarrassing for Brittany Snow! I am sure most actresses have beauty fails to share, but many don’t get caught on camera for the world to see. If she has had any during promotion for Pitch Perfect 2, no one has noticed. She always looks aca-awesome to me!

Of course, Brittany Snow is much more experienced now and knows her stuff when it comes to her beauty must-haves.

For instance, Brittany Snow was kind enough to share her secret for dealing with frizz in the Florida heat and humdity.

She said, “Growing up in Florida and having naturally curly hair was a bit tough. I had to learn to do treatments and masks to keep the frizz under control. Now, I love Kerastase and Moroccanoil products.”

I will have to look into those!

What do you think of Brittany Snow’s worst beauty fail? Can you relate?

  • Brittany Snow To Star In Animated MTV Pilot

Brittany Snow is coming fresh off of her immense Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2 success, and right into an animated MTV show.

I’m sure that makes sense somehow, and Brittany Snow is in amazing company.

Starring alongside Brittany Snow in the new show will be Sharon Osbourne, comedian Natasha Leggero, Nasim Pedrad of Saturday Night Live fame, John Roberts from Bob’s Burgers, Jameeliah Garrett of Supanatural, and Jessica Lowe from Blended.

Executive producers will be Jason Micallef and Kristen Schall, Josh Turner McGuire, and Trevor Engelson.

Price Peterson, Ryan Sandoval, and Lily Sparks wrote the pilot and executive produced.

The animated pilot is called Fancy Bastards, and follows Brittany Snow and the other characters, a smattering of local misfits, as they find out that they were all fathered by a deviant prince who had a wild night in Vegas. That night resulted in all of them and now they are royalty.

However, their new found wealth soon becomes a burden.

Sounds fun! And at least Brittany Snow won’t have to worry about the color of her hair for this project.

Admittedly, Brittany Snow has had a lot of different shades. She said recently, “I have had every hair color. I joke with my hair colorist. She keeps sheets of paper on every hair color that I’ve had so she has records of it all. She’s done my hair since I was 15 and I guess I have a thick folder going because I’ve had so many different hair colors.”

She added, “I think my least favorite hair color was the hair color that I had in Pitch Perfect 2. They really wanted me to be dark red and I wanted to be lighter like I was in the first movie, but they didn’t want that. But I rocked some light red for a year, after it faded.”

What do you think of Brittany Snow starring in an animated show for MTV?

  • Elizabeth Banks: Directing Success of ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Has Whetted Her Appetite For More

    Elizabeth Banks wants more.

With the success of Pitch Perfect 2, her first foray as a director, Elizabeth Banks said the experience has whetted her appetite for more.

Elizabeth Banks made her directorial debut with Pitch Perfect 2, which is killing it at the box office and stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Hailee Steinfeld. Banks produced the first Pitch Perfect with husband Max Handelman.

“I would love to direct more movies,” Elizabeth Banks said, according to U.K.’s Press Association.

“It’s really important that more women get involved in directing and in leadership positions in Hollywood, and I’m really excited to be providing an example for my generation of women,” said Elizabeth Banks.

Because the Hunger Games actress has been involved with Pitch Perfect from the very beginning, Elizabeth Banks says directing the sequel was a “natural” step.

“It did feel natural, just because I’ve been involved since day one. I think being a part of the first film and being on set every day, that was the best preparation for making this movie,” said Elizabeth Banks.

“I’m also an actor so I haven’t always had the time in my schedule to direct a feature, but I knew I was going to be making the time to do Pitch Perfect 2 as a producer, no matter what. It just seemed the natural progression to take on the directing duties as well.”

Elizabeth explained the direction she wanted to take with the Bellas in the sequel.

“One of my goals was to expand the world that the Bellas are in,” she said. “I wanted to improve upon everything that we’ve accomplished – as well as have the girls looking gorgeous, which they do. We were very protective of this franchise. The first time around, we were this little movie with singing and dancing, so much fun, comedy and heart. And this time we wanted to make sure we maintain that sense of fun and wicked humour – but grow in the musical numbers.”

Did you see Pitch Perfect 2? What do you think of Elizabeth Banks’ directing debut?

  • Elizabeth Banks Says Possibility Of ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ Depends On The Fans

Many have been wondering if a Pitch Perfect 3 movie is already in the works, and that’s even before Pitch Perfect 2 hit theaters. For director Elizabeth Banks, that possibility depends on the fans.

Banks admitted in an interview that “it would be disingenuous to say that no one’s talking about a ‘Pitch Perfect 3,’ the possibility of it.”

“We are really focused on getting as many butts in seats for this one,” she added. “If fans embrace it, we are going to seriously think about what the continuing journey would look like, but we don’t know what that is yet.”

If the opening numbers are anything to go by, Pitch Perfect fans are clearly saying that they want another round.

The sequel to the sleeper hit scored big over the weekend, raking in $70.3 million, putting it way ahead of Mad Max: Fury Road. The Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron flick took in a neat $44.4 million.

And once you add in the figures from Pitch’s non-US foray plus the soundtrack sales then the movie easily crosses the $100 million mark.

Not bad for a musical comedy about a cappella groups.

Aside from directing, Banks also reprised her role for the sequel, with original cast mates Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson still along for the ride.

Now with the apparent success of Pitch Perfect 2, the buzz about another offering is louder, especially since Wilson, who plays the scene stealing Fat Amy, was quoted as saying she already signed up for a third installment.

If the next Pitch Perfect project does fall through and Banks returns to direct it, it will go a long way in firmly ensconcing her as a director of note and will greatly aid other female directors as well.

For despite the pressure that Banks felt while filming the movie, she has shown that she can deliver the goods.

  • Anna Kendrick Writing a Book; She Doesn’t Know About What

Anna Kendrick recently announced that she is publishing a book of essays next year. That’s one of the perks of being a celebrity: you can get a publishing offer without ever having actually written anything before.

“Obviously I’m hoping to find my own voice, but having never written anything before, I’m not really sure what to expect,” Anna Kendrick says. “But it’s going to be fun. Part of me is like, ‘Yeah! I’m writing a book… if I can.’ Is that something I can do? I’ll find out.”

Anna Kendrick says that she is leveraging modern technology to the hilt to get her book cranked out. But it is not in a very streamlined way.

“I’ve got like notes all over my phone in different places, different apps,” she said. “I got my Stickies on my Mac, and I’ve got seven different Word documents that I just keep adding stuff to. I’ve got Post-it notes everywhere, so I’m hoping that when I get the chance to sit down and look at it all together, it’ll add up to something.”

Somebody introduce that girl to Evernote.

Even the choice of topics is still very up in the air. She has no particular plan for what to write about. It sounds like she’s just writing stuff that pops into her head. And she’ll get paid for it. Because that’s how publishing works now.

“If I was trying to do it like, ‘What are my thoughts on men?’ I would be like, ‘I don’t know! I don’t have thoughts on men!’” she says. “I just keep remembering stupid things that happened to me when I was younger and many, many stupid things that happened to me recently. [I’m] trying to write them down and see if it comes out more funny—or more tragic.”

Back on the filmmaking front, Anna Kendrick recently said that she is not holding her breath about the potential success of Pitch Perfect 2.

“I’m really focused on putting this movie out and then letting the audience tell us what to do next. I’m not one to count my chickens, so I just want to see how this one does and find out if there’s an appetite for that before I even think about it,” Kendrick said. “I’ll drive myself crazy.”

Anna Kendrick says she didn’t want to just crank out a sequel for the sake of milking a franchise.

“I didn’t know if they were just going to do a sloppy seconds version of it, and that was the thing that made me nervous,” she said. “When I found out it was really going forward and it was going to be a real movie and everybody was coming back—there was no way I was going to miss out on that.”

  • Anna Kendrick: ‘Pitch Perfect’ Actress Dons a New Hat — That of Author

Anna Kendrick is ridiculously talented, there’s just no two ways around that fact.

In her latest endeavor, which shouldn’t come as a shock to her more than four million Twitter followers, Anna Kendrick is donning a new hat — that of writer.

Those who do follow her on Twitter know that Anna Kendrick is hilarious. There are few things more entertaining than cozying up to a good show like Peter Pan Live! along with Anna Kendrick. It’s hard to decide what’s more fun — her comments or the show.

Well, now Anna Kendrick is taking that talent to a new level with a book of essays due out next year.

Her fans are likely thrilled, but the Pitch Perfect 2 star says taking her writing from a 140-character piece to a complete book of essays is a bit daunting.

“Obviously I’m hoping to find my own voice, but having never written anything before, I’m not really sure what to expect,” she says of joining other comedians like Tina Fey, Mindy Kaling and others who have written books of essays. “But it’s going to be fun. Part of me is like, ‘Yeah! I’m writing a book… if I can.’ Is that something I can do? I’ll find out.”

As to her writing style, Anna Kendrick says it’s all her own.

“I’ve got like notes all over my phone in different places, different apps,” she told Time magazine. “I got my Stickies on my Mac, and I’ve got seven different Word documents that I just keep adding stuff to. I’ve got Post-it notes everywhere, so I’m hoping that when I get the chance to sit down and look at it all together, it’ll add up to something.”

Anna Kendrick said she has no set plan on what she will write, but will, instead, allow the musings come to her.

“If I was trying to do it like, ‘What are my thoughts on men?’ I would be like, ‘I don’t know! I don’t have thoughts on men!’” she said. “I just keep remembering stupid things that happened to me when I was younger and many, many stupid things that happened to me recently. [I’m] trying to write them down and see if it comes out more funny—or more tragic.”

Seriously, what can’t Anna Kendrick do?

  • Brittany Snow: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star Majorly Disses the Olsen Twins–or Did She?

Brittany Snow, star of Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2, majorly dissed the Olsen twins–Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen–recently. Maybe she didn’t mean to sound offensive, but her comment came off like a big insult just the same.

During a recent interview with Yahoo! Style, Snow dished on how many different shades of hair color she has used over the years, and how she doesn’t like the color that was chosen for her in Pitch Perfect 2.

“I have had every hair color!” she said. “I joke with my hair colorist. She keeps sheets of paper on every hair color that I’ve had so she has records of it all. She’s done my hair since I was 15 and I guess I have a thick folder going because I’ve had so many different hair colors.”

“I think my least favorite hair color was the hair color that I had in Pitch Perfect 2. They really wanted me to be dark red and I wanted to be lighter like I was in the first movie, but they didn’t want that. But I rocked some light red for a year, after it faded,” she adds.

Currently a blonde, Brittany Snow talked about getting recognized as a film star when out in public.

“I don’t get recognized that often,” she said.

“I used to get recognized for being the Olsen Twins a lot, which was a compliment,” she added. “Not so much anymore.”

    Ouch.

Will Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen insist that all their friends boycott Pitch Perfect 2 after that diss?

But wait a minute. Did Brittany Snow mean she didn’t think it was a compliment any more to be mistaken for the Olsen twins? Or did she simply mean she isn’t mistaken for them–or at least one of them–any more?

Brittany Snow is singing her way to the top in Pitch Perfect 2, which premieres nationwide on May 15th. Will you be checking her out in the new film–even if you’re a fan of the Olsen twins?

  • Brittany Snow Says Being Mistaken For Olsen Twin Is Not A Compliment

Brittany Snow Says Being Mistaken For Olsen Twin Is Not A Compliment

Brittany Snow is becoming a bigger star all the time.

Now, with Pitch Perfect 2 coming out, Brittany Snow is making a hilarious round of talk show appearances and an even better series of interviews.

Take, for instance, Brittany Snow’s appearance on Ellen.

Now, that was a pretty amazing rendition of “Gangsta’s Paradise” by Brittany Snow.

Watch it if you haven’t yet! It’s so great:

Brittany Snow’s performance came after she admitted that “Gangsta’s Paradise” was her go-to karaoke song when the cast would go out after filming Pitch Perfect 2.

Then, there was this interview with Yahoo! Style.

Brittany Snow revealed several things, including her addiction to hair dye and her dislike of her hue for the new movie.

She said, “I have had every hair color. I joke with my hair colorist. She keeps sheets of paper on every hair color that I’ve had so she has records of it all. She’s done my hair since I was 15 and I guess I have a thick folder going because I’ve had so many different hair colors.”

Brittany Snow added, “I think my least favorite hair color was the hair color that I had in Pitch Perfect 2. They really wanted me to be dark red and I wanted to be lighter like I was in the first movie, but they didn’t want that. But I rocked some light red for a year, after it faded.”

Brittany Snow didn’t stop her list of stuff she doesn’t like with her Pitch Perfect 2 hair color. She also managed to burn the Olsen twins before she was done.

It all started with Brittany Snow having two very visible doppelgangers in her early years.

Brittany Snow said, “I don’t get recognized that often. I used to get recognized for being the Olsen twins a lot, which was a compliment, not so much anymore.”

That has to sting! What do you think about Brittany Snow’s comment about the Olsen twins?

  • Anna Kendrick Not Holding Her Breath on Pitch Perfect 2

Anna Kendrick isn’t getting her hopes up.

Anna Kendrick knows that some movies become hits, while other very applaudable efforts fizzle. So while there was enough excitement over the first Pitch Perfect film to warrant doing another, she isn’t looking too far beyond that for the franchise until she sees how this one does.

“I’m really focused on putting this movie out and then letting the audience tell us what to do next. I’m not one to count my chickens, so I just want to see how this one does and find out if there’s an appetite for that before I even think about it,” Kendrick said. “I’ll drive myself crazy.”

Even the one that is in the can and headed to theaters made her a bit skittish. She didn’t want to just crank out a sequel for the sake of milking a franchise.

“I didn’t know if they were just going to do a sloppy seconds version of it, and that was the thing that made me nervous,” she said. “When I found out it was really going forward and it was going to be a real movie and everybody was coming back—there was no way I was going to miss out on that.”

Anna Kendrick sees Pitch Perfect 2 much the way her audience does, as very different from other summer blockbuster films. While it’s not all about explosions and life-threatening situations, she sees the film as daring in its own right.

“Even though the stakes are really high for these girls, the stakes in the grand scheme of things are super low,” she says. “My inspiration for the first movie, and hopefully for the second movie, was always Dodgeball. The universe of the movie is built on really low stakes, but I find that really charming! It doesn’t have to be like, the city’s going to blow up if we don’t defuse the bomb. It’s just people wanting to win.”

And when she hears that guys like Pitch Perfect too, she has a pretty brilliant response.

“It’s not like the humor excludes men,” she said. “My favorite thing on Twitter is guys being like, ‘Listen: I’m not a pussy, but Pitch Perfect is awesome.’ I’m like, ‘I didn’t think you were a pussy, sir.’ “

  • Elizabeth Banks On Hollywood Success and Tara Reid: ‘Some of Us Are Surviving. Some of Us Are Not’

Elizabeth Banks shared her thoughts on longevity and, in the process, sorta, kinda dissed Tara Reid.

Elizabeth Banks talked about her career with The Hollywood Reporter recently and said her successful career is only dreamed about for many aspiring actresses.

Acknowledging how hard it is for actresses once they reach a certain age, she said it’s just as difficult in those early days because the competition is just so great.

“There was a group of us girls coming up. A lot of us are surviving. Some of us are not,” Elizabeth Banks, who has added director to her resume for Pitch Perfect 2, told the magazine bluntly. “I used to go to auditions with Tara Reid. So, you know, we didn’t all make it. We’re not all still here.”

“[But]I do love Sharknado,” she added, perhaps to soften the blow.

Elizabeth Banks attributes her success, in part, to her insatiable need to learn and grow.

“I don’t stay in my trailer,” she shared. “I like to sit in video village, probably to the annoyance of some producers and directors, because they really love to talk about actors and they can’t in front of me.”

Elizabeth Banks feels she has a lot riding on her directorial debut with the Pitch Perfect sequel.

“The list of women who get to make studio-level films is very short,” she said. “And I’m not quite in that club yet. Until this movie comes out, then we’ll see. This shoot is the test. I like to get A’s.”

Do you think Elizabeth Banks went to far in her comments about Tara Reid?

  • Anna Kendrick Unhappy Mae Whitman Not Cast in ‘Independence Day 2’

Anna Kendrick is very unhappy that her good friend Mae Whitman wasn’t signed to the upcoming film Independence Day 2. Whitman played the role of the president’s daughter in the first film, but didn’t get cast in the sequel. The role was given to Maika Monroe instead.

Time magazine reports that Mae Whitman wasn’t even considered for the role in the sequel. Lucy Boynton, Merritt Patterson, Gabriella Wilde, and Britt Robertson are listed as the actresses Maika Monroe beat out. There was no mention of Mae Whitman.

The Pitch Perfect star voiced her dismay via Twitter.

Mae Whitman was very appreciative of the support Anna Kendrick showed her.

It no doubt enrages both Anna Kendrick and Mae Whitman that some are saying she didn’t get cast in the Independence Day sequel because she isn’t ‘hot enough.’

Kudos to Anna Kendrick for sticking up for the Parenthood star. Even if Mae Whitman didn’t get cast in Independence Day 2, she knows her friend has her back.

  • Rebel Wilson Dons ‘Angel Wings’ to Convey Positive Body Image Message at MTV Movie Awards

Rebel Wilson of Pitch Perfect and the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2, donned angel wings similar to those worn by Victoria’s Secret models, at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. The wings were part of her positive body image message that she shared with her fans.

In addition to the wings, Wilson wore leather leggings emblazoned with the word ‘THINK’ across her rear, as well as a bedazzled bustier bra top.

“The ‘Bella’ girls are all different shape and sizes and nationalities,” Rebel Wilson said during an interview with People. “I think one of the good messages in the movie is that you’re all beautiful. I think sometimes girls look at Victoria’s Secret models and think that they have to model themselves after that, but I really don’t think that’s the best, even though they are called ‘models,’ they’re not the best people to model yourself after. I like to encourage girls to think, which is why I put that on my butt. It’s really about what’s up here [points to head], and not whats here [points to backside].”

She added that her outfit was a ‘labor of love.’

“This [bedazzled bra] was actually hand made by Spanky in Dubai who did Madonna’s corset and a lot of Lady Gaga’s outfits,” she joked, adding, “So it’s hand made in Dubai, and I appreciate them for putting a lot of work and effort into this last minute. And these [pants] are jet generic leather pants — $49.95.”

Rebel Wilson admitted the wings weren’t particularly comfortable.

“The wings are slightly uncomfortable, especially when people knock into you,” she shared. “But it’s good — this will be my cardio for the day. I had to walk up three flights of stairs while wearing these, and these are about twenty pounds.”

Rebel Wilson definitely send a positive message to women and young girls about their bodies. Do you expect there might be some backlash from Victoria’s Secret? She was certainly mocking their style with her ‘Angel Wings’ and jewel-encrusted bra.

Nonetheless her message was an important one, and no one should emulate the appearance of Victoria’s Secret models. That’s not a healthy body image.

Kudos to Rebel Wilson. Fans can catch her, along with Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, and more in the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2, when it hits theaters on May 15th.

  • Brittany Snow: ‘Pitch Perfect’ Star Injures Herself Twerking

Brittany Snow of Pitch Perfect fame admits she injured herself twerking while filming Pitch Perfect 2. It’s kind of sad to think that people other than Miley Cyrus take part in the rather controversial dance move, but since Brittany Snow did it in part to bring the Pitch Perfect cast back to the big screen, then she’ll no doubt be forgiven.

“I’m a really bad twerker—I still haven’t figured out how to do it,” she said during a recent interview with Cosmopolitan. “I actually hurt my back one day. I woke up the next morning and my back was completely tweaked out…from twerking.”

“One of my favorite scenes to do was this number where we really get dirty with our dancing,” Brittany Snow added. “We had a month of rehearsals learning how to do things I’m just not cool enough to do in my real life.”

The actress also touches upon is her boyfriend–and that’s a topic she doesn’t often talk about. She and Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin are very happy together.

“Sometimes if you give too much away, it loses its magic, as cheesy as that sounds. We like to keep our moments to ourselves, which is why we don’t do much social media,” Snow explained. “We’re not hiding anything. We’re not not wanting people to know.”

“Social media, for me, is about interacting with people who follow my career. I don’t think my relationship has anything to do with my career. So we just keep it simple, try not to think about it that much, and just be us.”

Fans can read all about Brittany Snow and her twerking experience in the May issue of Cosmo.

Will you be checking out Brittany Snow when Pitch Perfect 2 hits theaters on May 15th? Be sure to watch for her twerking number.

  • Anna Kendrick: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star to Perform at the Oscars

Anna Kendrick: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star to Perform at the Oscars

Anna Kendrick is set to perform at the Oscars on February 22nd, but it’s uncertain exactly what the Pitch Perfect 2 and Into the Woods star will do. The shows producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, have merely said that Kendrick will do “something special that is sure to be an ‘Only on the Oscars’ moment.”

Kendrick sang a hit song from Pitch Perfect called ‘Cups’ that made it all the way to the number six spot on the Billboard Charts. It was featured on the Pitch Perfect soundtrack and marked the first time Anna Kendrick was considered both an actress and a pop music star. She joins a lineup of spectacular performances at the 87th Oscars that includes actor Jack Black, singer Rita Ora, and John Legend together with Common, who will perform ‘Glory’ from the movie Selma.

Anna Kendrick tweeted word of her invitation to perform at the Oscars earlier on Monday.

Scarlett Johansson, Octavia Spencer, Zoe Saldana and Josh Hutcherson were added to the roster of Oscar presenters on Monday. They will join perviously scheduled presenters including Benedict Cumberbatch, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, and Marion Cotillard.

Will you be tuning in to the Oscars to see Anna Kendrick and her “special performance” on February 22? Do you expect she might do an updated version of ‘Cups’ or perhaps even something from the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2? Or will she do something completely unexpected that will find fans even more enamored with this talented actress and singer?

  • Anna Kendrick Had No Heat Or Power On Thanksgiving, But It Was Still Awesome

Actress Anna Kendrick experienced an “old-fashioned” Thanksgiving.

The 29-year-old star returned to Maine for the holiday, where she and her family found themselves battling serious winter weather.

The storm left Kendrick and her kin without heat or power.

Anyone else would have been seriously bummed about how things turned out, but Anna seems to be taking the entire matter in stride.

Anna Kendrick used her Instagram account to share photos with her fans that captured what she was experiencing.

One photo of a graveyard covered with snow features the humorous caption, “#TheNorthRemembers”.

Kudos to Kendrick for her flawless Game of Thrones reference!

Anna Kendrick also shared an image of what appears to be her snow-coated backyard, complete with early morning sunlight.

It was a delightful image, and it seemed to strike home Kendrick’s positive attitude about her situation over Thanksgiving.

  • Brittany Snow Shows Love Is Louder; Promotes ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ with Quirky Posts

This week, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, and Anna Kendrick graced the cover of Entertainment Weekly. The co-stars revealed some Pitch Perfect 2 details. Snow also took over EW’s Instagram, which resulted in some quirky posts.

The trio, known in the film as the leaders of the Barden Bellas, and the pop culture magazine gave a feast of exclusives, teasers, and some spoilers about the upcoming sequel.

A part of Entertainment Weekly’s Pitch Perfect 2 coverage included letting Snow showcase her short video talent. One of the highlights from Snow’s day running EW’s Instagram is a video of her showing a day in her life. Apparently it includes shopping, stealing food, and laughing villainously at an article in the New York Post. Another video shows Snow having a stare off contest with an actual American Girl doll.

Yep, we are PUMPED about this. @brittsnowhuh

Snow also used her EW takeover to post pictures with several of her Pitch Perfect 2 cast mates, including Anna Camp, Kendrick, and Hailee Steinfeld.

It wasn’t all fun and games. Snow used part of her day running EW’s Instagram to posts a few pictures promoting her Love Is Louder organization. The Love Is Louder campaign creates a community for anyone who has ever felt lonely, misguided, or abused. The aim is to help people, especially teens, feel like they have people to support them. It’s designed to create a community of healing.

Entertainment Weekly also revealed a bit about what lies ahead for Snow’s character in Pitch Perfect 2. In the film, Chloe is still in college because she purposely failed three times to stay close to the Bellas. Graduating and moving on will be a major theme in the sequel.

Pitch Perfect 2 hits theaters May 15, 2015. The Entertainment Weekly featuring the cast is on newstands now.

  • Anna Kendrick Talks Looks And Drive To Work

Anna Kendrick seems to have come out of nowhere, and she is now a very sought after actress.

Over the last few years, she has played in a variety of films, most notably Pitch Perfect and Up In The Air.

Anna said that while she has many fans, she also has many critics and some of them don’t think she is pretty enough to be as popular as she is or deserving of certain roles.

“The most common thing that I get is, ‘Am I the only one who doesn’t think that Anna Kendrick is pretty?’” she told Marie Claire during an interview. “And you’re like, ‘No, you’re not the only one. Arguably, all of the boys in my high school agree with you.’”

Kendrick said that she doesn’t let the criticism get her down and that she is happy to have been given such great roles and to have had the success she has experienced.

She just finished working on the new Disney film, Into The Woods as well as Pitch Perfect 2 and said that she is very driven and feels like she always needs to be working or have a project lined up.

“Mostly it’s the fear that the wolves are always at your heels and you’re going to be tossed out into the street,” she told the magazine. “If you grow up middle class, you just always feel like you’ve got to be working, because otherwise you won’t be able to pay the rent.”

It seems like Anna’s success hasn’t gone to her head and she is a very down to earth person.

  • Elizabeth Banks Dishes on Past, Present and Future Endeavors

Elizabeth Banks has a lot on her plate these days as an actress, director and mother, but says there are still more challenges ahead that she’d like to tackle.

Reflecting on her time playing “Effie” in The Hunger Games, Banks said being a part of the franchise was a wonderful experience and she “cherished” her character. However, the last day of shooting proved to be a difficult one for the 40-year-old actress.

“It was a sad day and I wrapped on a day when no one else did,” she told ABC News. “It was really sort of lonely and depressing.”

Since that final day on the set, Banks has moved on to a variety of projects.

One particular project that might not be a huge stretch for the actress is as a judge for a Frito-Lay Super Bowl commercial contest. After all, she plays the judge of an a cappella competition in her film Pitch Perfect and the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2.

As a Frito-Lay judge, Banks will help determine which filmmaker is the winner of a commercial created for Doritos. It’s a big responsibility since the winner will win a “dream job” with Universal, the studio behind Pitch Perfect 2.

“Everybody has to start somewhere in this business and what I really love about this contest is that they’re gonna really give somebody their start in the entertainment industry,” she said. “I just felt like it was a really amazing opportunity to be supportive of young filmmakers … who want to submit their material and get seen by industry professionals.”

Pitch Perfect 2 offers the actress an amazing opportunity of her own — to try her hand at directing.

“It’s a big responsibility, but I was really excited to take it on and try to do it confidently,” she told ABC News. “[The original] was lightning in a bottle and it was such a surprise to see how the movie was received. The whole ‘Cups’ phenomenon was a surprise to all of us. It came from the authenticity of the movie, and this time around we were really aiming to do that again and be pure in our intention to tell more of the story of these characters that people have fallen in love with.”

There is still one challenge the versatile actress hopes to tackle in the future — a challenge that will please her sons, Felix, three, and Magnus, one.

“I need to get on Sesame Street,” she said. “They’ll be my biggest fans!”
