    Taco Bell Fires Police-Hating Employee

After deliberately insulting a police officer, the Taco Bell employee that wrote “PIG” on the order of a Newton police officer was finally let go.

A social media outrage broke out after the photo of two taco orders with “PIG” casually written on them was posted by an individual not involved with the incident. The photo went viral last Saturday.

The insensitive remark was directed towards an officer of the Newton Police Department and his fiancé who were just trying to get a quick bite. The police officer has been with the department for about one year.

Taco Bell Senior Director of Operations, Jeff Graves personally announced the firing of the employee responsible for the hateful act. Graves further said that the employee’s views in no way refelcted that of the company’s.

“We do not share the same belief or view as the employee whatsoever. Our company, Taco Bell, has always been pro-law enforcement, military. We’ve always supported the police in our community. Many of our restaurants give police discounts when they come in and eat,” said the Taco Bell official.

The Newton Police Department was not resentful as they publicly responded to the offense against one of their officers.

“The store manager is terribly apologetic of the actions of her employee and assures us the situation is being handled appropriately,” said the police department in a Facebook post. “We understand the incident was the action of an individual, and do not hold ill will to Taco Bell or any of its employees, even the individual who wrote the message.”

Together with Taco Bell, the Newton Police Department are planning to host a community event sometime next week to show the camaraderie between the two parties through productive work in the community.

  • North Carolinian Hunter Kills 500lb Hog

Every now and then our inner child jumps around like a relapsing drug addict on planet cocaine when the news showcases a wild beast like Big Foot or the Mothman that ‘proves’ to us that monsters DO exist and reality is truly stranger than fiction. Unfortunately, a lot of the times, we grow up, we learn then that news is sometimes augmented, and much like a bitter parent who tells us Santa isn’t real, we later find the magic to vanish.

    But wait!

A 34-year old Conetoe, North Carolina resident and hunter named Jett Webb has bagged a beast last month: an 8-foot long, 500-pound wild boar pig. Webb first spotted the swine romping around in the manly woods of White Oak Ranch Hunting Club in Bertie County on February 28th.

“The Mohawk down the back, the tusks really lean, the muscular big front end,” Webb said. “This is far from a domesticated docile pig that we’re used to.” Webb told WNCT-TV.

A few years ago, the animal was captured on trail camera footage – avid hunters failed to gun down the beast, until now.

With the .308-caliber AR-15’s stock tucked in his shoulder, a calculating Webb drew a bead on the gallivanting beast from 50 yards away, tensed his index finger, and sunk one fatal bullet in one of Mother Nature’s many monstrosities.

    “It was very surreal.”

“It was a shock. It was very humbling to say the least, when you walk up on a beast that big and you say, ‘Oh my gosh. I had no idea that there could be something that big running around the woods of Eastern North Carolina.’”

Mike Mansell, president of the White Oak Ranch Hunting Club noted the rarity of the hog’s size: “It takes your breath away for a second to realize how big this hog is.”

“It took up the entire bed of the pick-up truck.”

Mansell also said the wild boar population is a community of beasts that will never die: “They’re a species that is invasive. Once you have them, you’re not going to get rid of them. They just continue to multiply.”

Webb has hunted “a similar-sized” monster pig before, and, proudly displays its mounted head on a wall of the White Oak Ranch Hunting club. The other swine will be going in the stomachs of him and his family:

“We’re not going to waste anything,” Webb said.

“So that pig will provide food for me and my family for a good year.”

Webb swears the picture isn’t photoshopped.

For you doubters, such big cases of fatty creatures aren’t unheard of; the rise and fall of the 800-pound boar named Hogzilla happened in Alapaha, Georgia in 2005, and was the subject of a National Geographic documentary.

  • Dead Pigs in River Float into Shanghai

The New York Times is reporting that more than 2,800 dead pigs have been found floating into Shanghai in the Huangpu River, which flows through the city. The incident has raised concerns about contamination of Shanghai tap water.

The carcasses were evidently coming from somewhere upstream, and Chinese officials are currently trying to identify the source of the pigs. The Times report states that the pigs have already been traced to a province south and upstream of Shanghai.

Shanghai officials have stated that Shanghai Waterworks has been checking water quality on an hourly basis. After the first of the pigs had been noticed, Shanghai Waterworks stated that the city’s tap water still met its quality standards.

The report relays that Chinese officials are having samples of the pigs tested to determine their cause of death, which will be known within three days.

The Chinese State-run Global Times reported today that no viruses transmittable to humans have been found on the carcasses yet. Also, the ear tags found on the pigs were found to be scratched up, presumably by someone who knows it is illegal in China to dump dead pigs in a river. The report states that Shanghai authorities are now pressuring authorities from the southern province of Zhejiang to crack down on farmers who may dump dead pigs into the Huangpu rather than dispose of them properly.

  • Oklahoma Man Arrested For Sexually Violating A Pig

I know that it’s hard to contain yourself around a prized show pig, but there are lines you just don’t cross. A man in Murray County, Oklahoma crossed that line.

KFOR in Oklahoma City is reporting that 77-year-old Jimmy “Hawkeye” Jeter was caught on tape violating a show pig at the barn at the Davis Public Schools. This might get a little graphic for sensitive readers, but the police record states that Jeter “walked into the pen, unzipped his pants, appeared to pull something out of his pants, then bent over the gilt (female pig).”

Jeter was more than willing to cooperate with the police and describe what he did to the pig. He explained that he wasn’t trying to poison the pig, he just wanted to stick his finger “up her private.” He apparently has a history of this as he did the same thing in the 70s. He also admitted that the encounter gave him “sexual gratification.” I’m pretty sure the pig didn’t feel the same way.

Jeter was charged with “detestable and abominable crime against nature.” The Oklahoma law specifically states:

Every person who is guilty of the detestable and abominable crime against nature, committed with mankind or with a beast, is punishable by imprisonment in the custody of the Department of Corrections not exceeding ten (10) years. Except for persons sentenced to life or life without parole, any person sentenced to imprisonment for two (2) years or more for a violation of this section shall be required to serve a term of post-imprisonment supervision pursuant to subparagraph f of paragraph 1 of subsection A of Section 991a of Title 22 of the Oklahoma Statutes under conditions determined by the Department of Corrections. The jury shall be advised that the mandatory post-imprisonment supervision shall be in addition to the actual imprisonment.

As the Animal Legal & Historical Center points out, beastiality laws are controlled by the states with no federal law overseeing it. Only 30 states have laws regarding it so Jeter lucked out by living in Oklahoma, a state that defines the act as a felony.

While KFOR or the police wouldn’t release the video due to its graphic nature, WebProNews has obtained a dramatic reenactment:
