  • Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton: Pharrell Williams Calls Their Relationship a “Miracle”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton began dating this past fall. Blake’s fellow coach on The Voice–Pharrell Williams–thinks the two are great together.

Pharrell appeared on the Today Show Thursday, and chatted about his good friends.

“It’s poppin’ off!” the “Happy” singer said of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton. “It’s so beautiful, because being there, I watched both of them go through a lot, you know. You hate to see your friends go through something so heavy, and it’s kind of like a miracle, man–just watching that.”

Pharrell told Savannah Guthrie and Carson Daly he was shocked when he first found out.

“I had no idea,” he said. “And then Blake sends me a text message, and I’m like, ‘Whoa!’”

Carson Daly swears he didn’t know Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were an item for quite some time either.

“We were all like, ‘Whoa!’” he added. “None of us [knew], but we’re glad that it happened.”

Some fans wondered if Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s relationship would last after season nine of The Voice was over. Without Gwen returning as a coach this season–Christina Aguilera has returned–many wondered if things between the two might fizzle out.

That couldn’t be further from the truth. Even Christina Aguilera gives their relationship her seal of approval.

“I’ve known Gwen for a really long time,” she said this fall, when Stefani’s rep confirmed the relationship. “We went to each others’ kids birthday parties, we share the same management, and Blake I know now from the show.”

Blake Shelton announced this past summer that he and Miranda Lambert were divorced. Gwen Stefani announced not too long afterward that she and husband Gavin Rossdale had split.

It seems like fans aren’t the only ones who love seeing Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton together. Even their cohorts at The Voice think they make a remarkable couple.

Do you think Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are in this for good? Might there be wedding bells ringing for the couple in the future?

  • Christina Aguilera Lands “Curly Sue” Actress Alisan Porter, Kisses A Girl on “The Voice”

Christina Aguilera is back on The Voice this season, and on Monday and Tuesday of this week she began building her team for season 10.

The blind auditions are an exciting time on The Voice, with Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton building their teams from them.

“The blind auditions, that’s like Christmas morning,” Blake Shelton said on Monday. “It’s just as exciting as the first season. You never know what’s going to be there behind you.”

Christina Aguilera has thus far lucked out with at least two members of her newly formed team. On Monday, she scored former child star Alisan Porter. Best known for her role alongside Jim Belushi in Curly Sue, Porter belted out her own rendition of Linda Ronstadt’s “Blue Bayou” to a four-chair turn. When she chose Christina Aguilera as her coach, Xtina knew she’d landed someone very special for her team.

Christina Aguilera was very taken with Alisan Porter’s story–one of a mom and a recovering alcoholic.

“Nobody works harder than a mom,” Aguilera told her, adding that “people need to hear that hope” and the music within Porter. “Let a girl win it for once. For once!”

On Tuesday, Christina Aguilera scored Nashville singer Kata Hay. Following her rendition of “Redneck Woman,” Hay’s talent was beyond obvious and shortly thereafter the two women kissed–on the lips.

It’s no secret that Christina Aguilera loves attention. She got it at least twice this week in very big ways.

Might this be the season of The Voice on which Christina Aguilera scores the big win? Gwen Stefani came down to the wire last season, with Adam Levine’s Jordan Smith winning the season instead.

Are you watching season 10 of The Voice? Whose team would you like to see win?

  • Alisan Porter, Former “Curly Sue” Child Actor, Wows Judges on “The Voice”

Alisan Porter is back, but unless you’ve already heard this story, you wouldn’t recognize the former child star. Best known for her role as the title character in the 1991 film Curly Sue, in which she starred alongside Jim Belushi, Alisan Porter is now an accomplished singer who brought judge Christina Aguilera to tears on The Voice earlier this week.

“The past 24 hours have been crazy-amazing,” Porter shares of her experience in auditioning for and making it on to The Voice. “I’ve had such an amazing outpouring of support. It’s been really incredible.”

“Any reservations I had got squashed the second I stepped on stage to do my blind audition, and I just feel super comfortable and excited about going forward,” she adds.

It was Monday when Alisan Porter belted out her own rendition of Linda Ronstadt’s “Blue Bayou,” resulting in a four-chair turn on behalf of judges. Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton were astonished at her abilities.

“I really wanted to sing a classic,” she says. “I love songs from that era, I love kind of blending folk and rock and country, so I felt like I wanted to sing a classic with all those elements and that was really something I thought would work and I love that song.”

Life hasn’t been easy for Alisan Porter since she starred in Curly Sue. She struggled with alcoholism, which she speaks openly about in her blog.

“I was living in NYC when I realized I needed to get sober. I was miserable and overwhelmed with life. I was heartbroken and realizing that what had always worked for me in the past was NOT working at all. Not even a little bit. I felt trapped, scared, and sad and I was ready to really go for broke or get better. So, I did what every good user does and I prayed to a god I had never believed in… and then called my mom. Days later I was off to treatment, just like that. For the next four years I went to meetings, worked the steps, got a sponsor, found a god of my own understanding, prayed, meditated and basically grew up. Growing pains were inevitable, I felt them often but I continued on the path because unlike my old ways, this way was working,” she writes.

“I got married,” she continues. “I had kids, I got a new house, I re-did the floors (I love my floors), I got a car (that my dad didn’t pay for). I became a better friend, a better daughter, a better artist, better sister… I just got better. I grounded. But, you see, I also got responsibility. Addicts don’t like responsibility. I got responsibility not only in the form of doing the dishes and making my bed. I got PEOPLE. People that look like me, people that need me, people that copy everything I do and learn basically everything from me. I am their mother. THOSE kind of people. I got babies. Two of them in two years. (Possible addict behavior)”

Alisan Porter goes on to say the struggle is still very real, but the positives in her life these days far outweigh the negatives, and so she fights to remain a sober, responsible mom and wife–and now, a singing star, too.

Alisan Porter chose Christina Aguilera as her coach–she got to choose from four sensational names in the music industry–and will appear again on The Voice when the battle rounds begin.

Did you see Curly Sue back in the early 1990s? Would you have even recognized Alisan Porter had her story not been splashed all over TV and in the media?

  • Justin Timberlake, Will.i.am Sued by PK Music Performance for Copyright Infringement

Justin Timberlake and Will.i.am were recently served with a lawsuit. PK Music Performance has sued the pair for their 2006 collaboration “Damn Girl.” The song appears on Justin Timberlake’s 2006 album, “FutureSex/LoveSounds.”

The lawsuit alleges Justin Timberlake and Will.i.am copied a huge chunk of their song from one called “A New Day is Here at Last” by Perry Kibble. PK Music Performance owns the copyright to that song.

Perry Kibble wrote his song in 1969. It was recorded by J.C. Davis. Kibble died in 1999.

The lawsuit is asking for PK Music Performance to be paid its share of profits Justin Timberlake and Will.i.am made from “Damn Girl.” They also want any copies of the song sent to them for destruction. That might be difficult, given the ratio of hard copy to digital pieces of music.

Do you think Justin Timberlake and Will.i.am knowingly copied from Perry Kibble’s song?

Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams recently lost a lawsuit in which they were accused of ripping off Marvin Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up” in their collaboration “Blurred Lines.” They were ordered to pay Marvin Gaye’s family $7.3 million.

Here is Perry Kibble’s 1969 song, as recorded by J.C. Davis.

Here is “Damn Girl” by Justin Timberlake and Will.i.am.

What’s your take on the copyright infringement lawsuit?

  • Liberty Ross, Rupert Sanders’ Ex, Weds Longtime Beau Jimmy Iovine

Liberty Ross, the woman Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders cheated on with Kristen Stewart, married longtime beau Jimmy Iovine in a romantic Valentine’s Day ceremony.

The wedding took place in Beverly Hills, just one day ahead of the Grammy Awards, which, giving Iovine’s long history with the music industry, was especially fitting. Many from within the music industry graced Liberty Ross and Jimmy Iovine’s presence at their nuptials.

Those guests included Eminem, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, Will.i.am, Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre, and more.

Celebrity A-listers included Oprah Winfrey and her longtime beau Stedman Graham.

“Stepping out with my Valentine of almost 30 yrs! #iovinewedding,” Oprah captioned an Instagram post in which she showed off her incredible weight loss in a tight red dress.

Pharrell Williams shared a gorgeous shot of himself with wife Helen Lasichanh at Liberty Ross and Jimmy Iovine’s wedding.

    HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

A rep for Liberty Ross confirmed she and Jimmy Iovine were engaged in September. This is her second marriage.

After all Liberty Ross went through when Rupert Sanders so blatantly embarrassed and hurt her during his fling with Kristen Stewart, it is wonderful to see she’s found happiness with Jimmy Iovine. Surely everyone who attended their Valentine’s Day wedding agrees.

  • Tori Kelly Signs on to “The Voice” Season 10 as Adviser

Tori Kelly is coming to The Voice. The 23-year-old singer, who is up for Best New Artist at next month’s Grammy Awards, will join Adam Levine’s team on the singing competition show.

There’s a bit of irony in Tori Kelly working on The Voice. When she was just 16 years old, she auditioned for American Idol, but was eliminated quickly. Now American Idol is in its last season, and Tori Kelly is shining brighter than bright.

Other advisers for season 10 of The Voice–that premieres on February 29–are Sean “Diddy” Combs, who will join Pharrell Williams’ team. Patti LaBelle will serve as adviser for Team Christina, as Christina Aguilera makes her return as coach this season.

Christina’s return means there’s no chair for Gwen Stefani to turn, but rumor has it she is coming back as Blake Shelton’s adviser. Since the two started dating this fall, they’ve been spotted together frequently. Maybe Blake could just duct tape Gwen to his chair, so she could ride the turn with him each time he hits his button. Producers might frown upon that, however.

Season nine of The Voice ended in December, with Jordan Smith blowing everyone away with his amazing vocals. With Tori Kelly advising Team Adam (Jordan Smith was on Adam Levine’s team), two of music’s best will guide his team.

Could the presence of Tori Kelly give Adam Levine an edge in this season’s competition? Gwen serving as Blake’s adviser means the bromance/competition between the two men is on.

  • Christina Aguilera, Daughter Summer Rain Take to the Water to Watch “The Little Mermaid”

Christina Aguilera taught daughter Summer Rain this week that mermaids don’t spend much time out of the water. So the mother and daughter watched The Little Mermaid while luxuriating a sudsy bubble bath.

The Voice coach took to Instagram to show her followers how she and her baby girl–now a year old–spend their Friday evenings.

“Me and my little mermaid! ???” Christina Aguilera captioned the post.

A photo posted by Christina Aguilera (@xtina) on

Christina Aguilera’s passion for Disney films might come in part from her time as a cast member on The All New Mickey Mouse Club in the 1990s. Aguilera isn’t the only singer to get her start there, either. She worked alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and even actor Ryan Gosling.

Christina Aguilera will soon be back on TV as a coach on season 10 of The Voice. She’ll join coaches Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton.

Some people think Blake Shelton is trying to replace Christina with Gwen Stefani on The Voice, but it’s far more likely that’s fiction over fact.

Daughter Summer Rain is Christina Aguilera’s first child with fiance Matt Rutler. She and ex-husband Jordan Bratman are parents to her eight-year-old son, Max.

Now that you’ve seen this shot of Christina Aguilera and her baby girl watching The Little Mermaid while in the bathtub, will you be able to get the film’s song “Under the Sea” out of your head?

If not, you’re certainly not alone.

  • Gwen Stefani: Blake Shelton Wants Her Back for Season 11 of “The Voice”

Gwen Stefani is hoping against hope that her one remaining contestant, Jeffery Austin, is crowned Tuesday night’s season 11 winner of The Voice. Blake Shelton has two contestants–Barrett Baber and Emily Ann Roberts–vying for the title. Even though this season hasn’t yet officially ended, Blake is already working to bring Gwen Stefani back as a coach for season 11.

Christina Aguilera is set to return to The Voice for season 11, but Blake Shelton is putting pressure on host and executive producer Carson Daly to add a fifth chair to The Voice lineup, so Gwen Stefani can return.

As most everyone knows, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani began dating some time this summer. Blake announced his divorce from Miranda Lambert in July, and in August Gwen, too, announced the end of her marriage to Gavin Rossdale.

“We’ll just address that we love Gwen, we love our coaches,” Carson Daly told reporters ahead of the live show on Monday, evading the question as best he could. “We’re like Iron Chef around here. Once you’ve been in the kitchen, you’re always welcome back in the kitchen.”

“Anytime you want?” Blake Shelton asked pointedly.

“Absolutely,” Daly replied, giving Blake the answer he wanted

“I’ll see you next season, Gwen,” he said with a laugh, ignoring Adam Levine’s “whoop.”

Blake Shelton is clearly head-over-heels crazy about Gwen Stefani. He even predicted her contestant will win this season of The Voice–over his own two contestants.

“You’ve left me no choice here but to say Gwen, because it’s my goal in life to beat Adam or to see somebody beat him,” he joked. “So I’m going to pick Jeffrey. That’s who I would pick to win.”

“I also would have to say Jeffrey,” Levine added in a rare moment of agreement between the two. “He’s a great singer, [and] he’s not on Blake’s team.”

Fans are no doubt (get it…”No Doubt?”) dying to know how Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s relationship endures once this season of The Voice is over.

Will you be tuning in tonight to see if Blake Shelton’s contestants (Emily Ann Roberts and Barrett Baber), Gwen Stefani’s contestant (Jeffery Austin, or Adam Levine’s contestant (Jordan Smith) wins this season of The Voice? Poor Pharrell Williams was knocked out of the competition last week, but still lends plenty of support to the finalists.

  • Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Break the Adorable Meter In New Pics

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton couldn’t be more adorable and recently captured pics of the couple prove it.

Not only are The Voice coaches seemingly in love, they are not afraid to show some PDA while out and about.

On Wednesday, Gwen and Blake were spotted cracking up while driving around Los Angeles on Thursday and the pics are ridiculously adorable.

Stefani, 46, looks way too cute wearing what appears to be one of Shelton’s camo hats, driving around town while her 39-year-old beau, rides shotgun in her Range Rover.

The pair are nearly inseparable and do not hold back in sharing their affection for each other.

As reported by Us Weekly, Stefani and Shelton confirmed they were dating in November on the same day as the country music awards. Their announcement came just months after their respective divorces over the summer.

Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating,” Stefani’s spokesperson said of the couple.

Since taking their love public, Blake and Gwen have been super cuddly during numerous outings, even for the NBC cameras. Earlier this week, Stefani shared an adorable photo from The Voice stage with Blake playfully biting his girlfriend’s shoulder as fellow coaches Pharrell Williams and Adam Levine look on.

  • Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Avoid Dating Questions During Joint Interview

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton did their best to avoid dating questions during a joint interview with Natalie Morales on The Today Show. In addition to Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams took part in the interview, too.

“Gwen and Blake, of course we all know what’s going on with you guys,” Natalie Morales said. “Is it good to just be out in the open now?”

Instead of answering the question, Gwen Stefani completely clammed up. Blake Shelton chuckled.

    “Nice segue,” Pharrell Williams said.

Adam Levine came to the couple’s rescue.

“Next question! Next question, please!” the Maroon 5 singer urged. “Ask the next question before it gets awkward!”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton started dating some time this summer after he announced his divorce from Miranda Lambert and she announced she was divorcing Gavin Rossdale. The two have been spotted together many times since then, and seem to make each other quite happy.

Fans can catch Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton–along with Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams Monday and Tuesday on The Voice. By the end of Tuesday’s show, the contestants will have been narrowed down to just four.

What do you expect will become of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton once this season of The Voice has ended? Will the two continue seeing each other, even after she goes on tour with No Doubt? The lifestyle shouldn’t be a problem as both of them know what it’s like to maintain a relationship while touring and/or recording.

Of course it didn’t work out that well with their previous mates–did it?

  • Missy Elliott Credits Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry With Her Successful Comeback

Missy Elliott isn’t taking all the credit for her successful comeback. In fact, she lauds friends Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry, saying they played huge roles.

During a recent interview with i-D Elliott talked about performing with Katy Perry at last year’s Super Bowl.

“First of all, I can’t thank her enough. A thousand thank you’s wouldn’t be enough. She allowed me to perform my records, on her set and she said ‘If you have a new record, you should perform it, this is the time to perform it’. At the time I had some records but I didn’t feel as strong about them. I said I’d rather go out there and give them the classics,” Missy Elliott says.

Pharrell Williams was so impressed with Missy Elliott’s Super Bowl performance that he called her shortly thereafter.

“He said ‘I’m not trying to push you, but people miss you,” Elliott explains. “Do you see what happened out there? Have you seen the charts’? I think I was still in shock. It still hadn’t registered. He was like ‘I want to get in the studio with you.’ Who turns down Pharrell?”

Missy Elliott recently served as a mentor on The Voice, working with members of Pharrell’s team.

The “WTF (Where They From)” singer has indeed made an amazing comeback. If Missy Elliott says Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams deserve some of the credit for that, then who can dispute that?

If you’ve heard any of Missy Elliott’s new music, it’s plain to see her comeback is a strong one. She ought to give herself some–no, a lot–of that credit, too.

  • Adele May Have Teased Upcoming New Song on British TV

Adele may have teased fans what something they’ve wanted for years now–a new song. In a clip that aired on British TV, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer sang in the background. The aclip ran as an ad during The X-Factor UK.

“Hello/ It’s me/ I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet/ To go over/ Everything,” Adele sang. “They say that time’s supposed to heal ya/ but I ain’t done much healing.”

It was this past August when reports said Adele planned to release new music four years after her 2011 hit album, “21.”

One Republic’s Ryan Tedder Tweeted just one word following the clip’s airing. Rumor has it Tedder, along with Pharrell Williams and Max Martin collaborated on tracks on Adele’s upcoming album.

Earlier in 2015, Reverb called Adele’s upcoming album one of 2015’s most anticipated.

Adele won six Grammy Awards for “21.” With Grammy season fast approaching, it would be perfect timing for her to release her new album–and right before the holidays, too.

Do you think that clip was teasing an upcoming Adele song?

How much longer do you expect fans will have to wait to find out for sure?

  • Gwen Stefani Debuts New Single, Aimed at Ex Gavin Rossdale?

Gwen Stefani wowed fans with the debut of a new single during a concert in New York City on Saturday night. Called “Used to Love You,” there’s much speculation that the song is directed at her estranged husband Gavin Rossdale.

It was just this summer that Gwen Stefani announced that she and Rossdale were calling it quits following 13 years of marriage. They have three sons together.

“I just want to share a song that I wrote recently,” Gwen Stefani told Saturday night’s crowd before singing the emotional piece. “This song is really special.”

“I thought I was the best thing that ever happened to you” and “I guess nobody taught you how to love,” she sang.

In September, Gwen Stefani spoke with People magazine about her new music.

“[It’s] just truth,” she explained. “Just being clear and being true to myself. I just want to be fulfilled.”

Gwen Stefani has been one busy lady. Between recording new music, performing in concerts, serving as a coach on The Voice, and raising three boys, she likely has no time for herself.

The No Doubt front woman turned 46 on October 3rd–which no doubt leaves fans floored. She doesn’t look even remotely close to that age.

Do you love seeing Gwen Stefani alongside Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams on The Voice?

Does word of this new single have you excited about hearing her new music? Is this new track the latest “Don’t Speak” from Gwen Stefani?

  • Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani: Fellow Coaches on “The Voice” and Good Friends Only

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert got divorced this summer, with their split hitting the news in July. In early August, Gwen Stefani announced she and husband Gavin Rossdale were divorcing, too.

Since this season of The Voice has gotten underway, rumors of flirtations between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have run rampant. Some of the rumors have the two already in the deepest throes of love.

Sources close to both Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani say there’s no truth at all to those rumors.

“It’s total bulls—,” one source says. “There’s nothing there. They’re nothing more than friends.”

Shelton and Stefani have a lot of fun together on The Voice. That much is definitely true.

“I don’t think anybody’s more covered up than Gwen, from just raising three boys and balancing a TV show and a solo record or a No Doubt record and touring and her clothing line,” Blake Shelton said of his fellow coach earlier this summer. “Every day in the compound, you see her having a meeting with people you’ve never seen her having a meeting with before. It’s crazy.”

Gwen Stefani thinks Blake Shelton is great, too.

“He’s such a fun, funny guy. He just seems like such a good person. I love being around him,” she says.

A source close to Blake Shelton says he’s not ready to enter the dating world just yet, claiming he’s “focusing on himself” right now.

“He’s open to another relationship in the future, but just not now,” the source says.

Gwen Stefani barely has time to sleep–let alone enter into another relationship.

Those who hoped to see an instant couple made from Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani during this season of The Voice will be a bit disappointed to learn it simply isn’t going to happen.

That doesn’t mean fans can’t enjoy their hilarious banter–along with that of Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams, too.

Next season Christina Aguilera is taking Gwen Stefani’s place. Maybe by then Blake will be ready to start dating.

Do you think he’ll set his sights on someone from the country music world or simply wait to see who comes along?

It probably won’t be Gwen Stefani.

  • Christina Aguilera Returning to “The Voice” in February, Throwing Curve at Gwen Stefani-Blake Shelton Flirtations

Christina Aguilera is returning as a coach on The Voice for season 10 of the singing competition show. Set to air in February, Aguilera will replace Gwen Stefani, and join coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams.

One of the original four judges on The Voice, Christina Aguilera’s return will no doubt throw a wrench at the recent flirtations that have cropped up between newly divorced Blake Shelton and also newly divorced Gwen Stefani. Sources say things appear to be heating up between these two.

“They’re a real thing,” the source says.

Season nine of The Voice is airing now, with the blind auditions wrapping up earlier this week.

Christina Aguilera has taken every other season off from the show for the past few years. In addition to Gwen Stefani, she has also been replaced by Colombian singing sensation Shakira.

What’s your take on Christina Aguilera’s return to The Voice? She is no doubt popular because of her questionable attire and her candid critiques of the singers.

Would you prefer to see Gwen Stefani stay in her role as coach or have Shakira replace Christina Aguilera on a permanent basis?

Do you think there is really something going on–or something in the very early stages–between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani?

  • Christina Aguilera Celebrates Daughter Summer Rain’s First Birthday

Christina Aguilera celebrated the first birthday of her daughter Summer Rain on Sunday. The “Beautiful” singer and fiance Matt Rutler both shared birthday wishes and adorable photos of their baby girl via social media in honor of her big day.

Instagram was Christina Aguilera’s forum of choice for sharing her birthday love.

“Happy 1st Birthday! My Sweet, Summer Rain,” she captioned the photo.

A photo posted by Christina Aguilera (@xtina) on

Matt Rutler took to Twitter, sharing an adorable shot of baby Rain in his arms.

Many fans have wondered about the inspiration behind Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler’s unusual choice of baby names.

“Christina wanted something different and unique for the baby’s name,” a source told E! News last summer, shortly after the baby was born. “She loves how Summer Rain Rutler flows together and thinks summer is an amazing time of the year. She has always been a more expressive person and a little bohemian who is inspired by words and daily life.”

Christina Aguilera will hopefully get to spend some more time at home with Summer Rain, as she isn’t coaching on this upcoming season of The Voice. Gwen Stefani will take her place, alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams.

Aguilera is also mom to son Max from her marriage to Jordan Bratman.

  • Christina Aguilera Being Replaced by Gwen Stefani on Season Nine of ‘The Voice’

Christina Aguilera won’t return for season nine of The Voice, but will once again be replaced by Gwen Stefani instead. Stefani appeared on season seven of The Voice.

Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams have all signed back on to The Voice, and will round out the season nine panel of coaches on the popular singing competition show.

Gwen Stefani issued a statement about replacing Christina Aguilera on Wednesday.

“I can’t believe I get to return to The Voice,” she said. “It’s so inspiring to be around such incredible talent and music. I’m looking forward to working again with Adam, Blake and Pharrell. I love those guys.”

Carson Daily is also returning to The Voice to serve as host.

As with the last time Gwen Stefani appeared on The Voice, it isn’t certain whether Christina Aguilera is leaving the show for good or simply taking another year off.

Shakira filled Christina Aguilera’s shoes during season six of the show.

Are you a Christina Aguilera fan–with regard to her serving in the capacity of a coach on The Voice? Or do you prefer when someone sits in for her for a season? Are you among those thrilled to learn Gwen Stefani is returning for season nine?

  • Pharrell Williams Sells ‘Dope’ At Cannes Film Festival

Pharrell Williams is enjoying another good year.

The singer, songwriter, fashion designer and record producer extraordinaire was recently seen at this year’s Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of the movie Dope.

Produced by the 42-year-old Pharrell, along with Forest Whitaker and Sean Comb, Dope is an American comedy – drama that has been generating good reviews for its stereotype-busting plot.

The movie revolves around a high school geek (Shameik Moore) who wants to go to Harvard but is thrust into a ditzy adventure when some drug dealers looking for a place to hide their stash stuff his backpack with Ecstasy.

Dope also stars Zoe Kravitz, A$AP Rocky, Chanel Iman and Tony Revolori.

Aside from executively producing it, Pharell also wrote four songs for the movie which will soon hit theaters on June 19.

And if there’s one thing that Pharrell is known for, it’s writing and producing award-winning songs. He has collaborated with heavyweights like Snoop Dogg on “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” Madonna on “Hey You” and has composed the soundtrack for the lovable movie Despicable Me.

The “Happy” singer also recently scored his first championship in The Voice. His 16-year-old protégé Sawyer Fredericks edged out Meghan Linsey from Blake Shelton’s team.

It has also been announced that the Grammy winner is slated to perform in two public concerts this September.

Fans will be able to see Pharrell perform in Cape Town’s Grand Arena, GrandWest on September 21 and at The Dome in Johannesburg on September 24.

Despite his busy schedule, the tireless performer has also been enjoying his time with his wife, model Helen Lasichanh, and their 7-year-old son Rocket, who was the inspiration behind the Despicable Me song “Rocket’s Theme.”

Amazingly, the uber-busy Pharrell is also collaborating with Woolworths on their “AreYouWithUs?” movement which is aimed at ensuring environmental sustainability and education in South Africa.

As the program’s Style Director, Pharrell is tasked with helping make the idea of sustainability “cool for the next generation of South Africans.”

  • Monica Lewinsky Joins a Slew Of Celebrities To Support Fat-Shamed ‘Dancing Man’ Sean O’Brien

Monica Lewinsky was just one of a slew of celebrities to celebrate Sean O’Brien, the man known as the “Dancing Man” who was cyber-bullied on the 4chan website, at an epic party in Los Angeles on Saturday..

Musician Hope Leigh and writer Cassandra Fairbanks decided throw a huge huge party for Sean O’Brien in the wake of fat-shaming. After seeing the photo that went viral of the man who loves to dance, they flew him out from London to Los Angeles Saturday for a dance party in his honor.

Sean O’Brien’s plight came to the attention of celebrities after 4chan posted a photo of him dancing, with the caption, “Spotted this specimen trying to dance the other week. He stopped when he saw us laughing.”

    The photo went viral.

On Saturday, the surprises for Sean just kept coming in the form of Hollywood celebrities, including Monica Lewinsky, Moby, Andrew W.K, who wanted to show their support to the anti-bullying movement.

“Keep that in mind. As we’re going through life, we encounter hardship,… adversity, we don’t turn against them,” Andrew said on the stage to address bullying issue. “We don’t let them hurt us who use them to make ourselves better, bigger and stronger people.”

Pharrell Williams taped a message that was shown during the event.

“When that first came out and they were teasing you, I bet you thought, ‘Man, this is not cool.’ But there was a miracle in it. Because some people saw it, and those people decided that they needed to stand up for not only you, but for anyone in your position that just wants to trust themselves and is criticized or ridiculed for it,” said Pharrell Williams. “And they did the exact opposite – they wanted to encourage you to dance more, dance free.”

After Pharrell’s message, Moby began a DJ performance, and that’s when the party really got started as partygoers took to the dance floor.

Monica Lewinsky, who is part of anti-bullying group Bystander Revolution, presented $30,000 check to the Trevor Project, PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center, Cybersmile, and Kidscape.

“Sean was brave – he stepped forward and said, ‘I am dancing man.’ We’re here tonight to celebrate Sean… celebrate dancing understanding compassion and bravery,” Monica Lewinsky told the partygoers.

Sean O’Brien danced the night away and said it was a night to remember.

“I’ve never danced so much, it’s been the best night of my life, unbelievable,” he gushed.

The after-glow from the party continued as Sean O’Brien took to Twitter to express his joy and gratitude.

“A last massive thanks to all those who were there last night to help make it so memorable,” he wrote. “and everyone who has supported and followed for last two months to help make it happen. So much love in the world @DanceFreeMvmt.” The event apparently was able to restore faith in humanity amid the growing number of hatred and troll in social media.

  • Meghan Linsey Runner-Up on ‘The Voice,’ Sawyer Fredericks Takes the Win

Meghan Linsey wasn’t crowned The Voice on Tuesday night during the season eight finale, but she did emerge the runner-up. Blake Shelton’s final contestant is likely in for a huge career change in the wake of the show however. Transforming from a country singer to a powerhouse soul singer, it will be shocking if no one signs her for a future album.

Competing against teenagers Koryn Hawthorne and Sawyer Fredericks–both on Pharrell Williams’s team–and Joshua Davis of Team Adam, Meghan Linsey was up against some stellar talent. Had the show been about actual singing skills at the end–and not about votes from the public–many believe Meghan Linsey would have won.

Sawyer Fredericks walked away with the crown, however. At just 16, the homeschooled son of a farming family in upstate New York, won The Voice. His vocals are powerful and definitely unique. But they didn’t really compare with those of Meghan Linsey.

A few years ago, Linsey penned a song called ‘Change My Mind.’ She performed it live on The Voice on Monday night, and the music video was released today.

One of the highlights of The Voice finale on Tuesday night was watching Meghan Linsey perform alongside Kelly Clarkson.

Meghan Linsey reached out to Sawyer Fredericks following his big win.

While surely no one begrudges Sawyer Fredericks winning The Voice, many believed Meghan Linsey would take the win.

Are you among those disappointed that she didn’t?

  • Meghan Trainor Performs Acoustic Version of ‘Dear Future Husband’ on ‘The Voice’ Finale

Meghan Trainor wowed fans at The Voice finale on Tuesday night, performing an acoustic version of her hit song, ‘Dear Future Husband.’ Having served earlier in the season as a mentor for Blake Shelton’s team, it seemed fitting that Trainor was brought back for the show’s big finale.

Accompanied only be her ukelele and one lone man on an acoustic guitar, Meghan Trainor gave a stellar performance. There’s something about all that passion she puts into her songs that is highlighted when presented in acoustic form.

Meghan Trainor burst onto the music scene last year with her first hit single, ‘All About That Bass.’ Since then her name has been front and center in music publications–both printed and online.

On Sunday, Meghan sang a duet at the Billboard Music Awards with Chrissy Teigen’s husband, John Legend.

Contestants on The Voice were no doubt very encouraged by Meghan Trainor. At just 21 years old, she has accomplished what many singers don’t do in a lifetime.

Did you see The Voice on Tuesday night?

Spoiler alert: don’t read any further if you missed the show.

Sawyer Fredericks was crowned The Voice for season eight, with Blake Shelton’s Meghan Linsey as the runner-up. Adam Levine’s Josh Davis came in third, with Pharrell Williams’s second contestant (Sawyer Fredericks was also part of Team Pharrell) taking fourth place.

In addition to the excitement of Sawyer Frederick’s winning, the crowd definitely loved watching Meghan Trainor perform.
