Is Cynthia Bailey Disgusted By Her Husband’s Naked Body?

Fans were treated to a whole lot of drama in the season opener of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which aired on Sunday.

Between Kandi Buruss’ baby announcement, Phaedra Parks raising her children without her incarcerated husband, Kenya Moore renovating her new house, Sheree Whitfield’s big return, and Porsha Williams’ cougar conquest, there is so much storyline for viewers to follow and speculate on.

However, the highlight of the episode is arguably Cynthia Bailey’s angle, which involves some serious marriage issues with her husband Peter Thomas.

It can be remembered that in July, a “cheating” video of Thomas was posted on Instagram and quickly went viral. It showed him at one of his establishments, Bar One in Atlanta, kissing and getting quite handsy with a woman who wasn’t his wife.

Bailey and sister Malorie engage in a serious discussion about her marriage, in which the latter asked the former what her true feelings are for her husband.

“Are you still in love with him?” asks Malorie, to which Bailey responds, “Yes, I am in love with him still.”

She also admitted that she was still physically attracted to him, although when Malorie followed it up by asking, “Even with his clothes off?” Bailey says, “No.”

Bailey goes on to defend her answer by saying that she is more attracted to Thomas’ “mind” than his physical attributes.

Meanwhile, former Xscape member Kandi Buruss, who is currently the show’s most senior member after NeNe Leakes’ departure, revealed that she and husband Todd Tucker are expecting their first child together. Williams, on the other hand, has a new boyfriend – a football player named Duke who is ten years her junior. Parks is shown still contemplating filing for divorce from her husband Apollo, who’s been in jail for an entire year now.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. on the Bravo network.

  • Kandi Burruss Betrayed Phaedra Parks? Friendship Falls Apart On RHOA

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss might have bitten more than she could chew.

With the cancellation of her play and the apparent meltdown of her friendship with RHOA co-star Phaedra Parks, Burruss became emotional and broke to tears during last night’s episode.

“I had a lot going on at the time. Yes, I was upset about my play being canceled, but I also had some personal family things that I was dealing with as well. So I guess I was just extra emotional,” said the reality TV star.

Burruss had the closest bond with Parks since the latter joined the show. Now Parks seemed aloof and brushed off Burruss’ problems telling Burruss she “had a business deal go awry, you’re still a millionaire. If money could make me sleep at night, I’d be sleeping like a baby.”

Parks admitted to being disappointed that Burruss had not reached out to her when her husband, Apollo Nida, went to jail. She also felt betrayed when Burruss did not defend her when co-star Kenya accused Parks of having an affair. “I have a shortage of friends that I can count on to say I love you, I support you and I’m here for you,” Parks said.

Burruss thinks that her friendship with Parks is yet to be mended. “I don’t know if they’re resolved or not. Obviously she doesn’t tell me when there is a problem. I guess only NeNe or Porsha knows. Or I’ll find out while watching the show. I just find it so crazy that she was confiding in them about how I’m not a good friend… Had the shoe been on the other foot, I would never have discussed our friendship with them before talking to her about it,” Burruss said, admitting that she is “irritated” seeing her once-bestie being closer to their other co-stars.

  • Kandi Burruss: ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Star Talks Sex Life With Hubby Todd Tucker

Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta admitted to a counselor that sex with her husband, Todd Tucker, needed improving. The two have only been married for about six months. What she admitted to a friend was even worse, however.

According to RadarOnline, Tucker claims to never have completely recovered over Kandi Burruss asking him to sign a prenup prior to their marriage.

The counselor sent both Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss away from a recent session with homework. They were supposed to list the pros and cons of their relationship.

Kandi Burruss recalled sex with Todd before they got married.

“We used to sit in the car for hours kissing and I loved that. We don’t kiss like we used to!” she said.

A photo posted by Kandi Burruss (@kandiburruss) on

Todd thought the homework was ridiculous, and had his own ideas on how to salvage their marriage. He believes he and Kandi simply need “to go in a room and have sex … be spontaneous.”

Maybe there’s a happy medium between that and the homework the counselor gave the couple?

On Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Phaedra Parks asked Kandi Burruss how her ‘baby making’ was going. That brought even more about her sex life with Todd to light.

“Girl, it ain’t going. I don’t think we’re having sex enough, personally. Our sex life sucks lately,” she said.

Do you think a few more visits to the counselor can help Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker salvage their marriage? How do you suppose Todd felt when he heard Kandi tell Phaedra Parks that sex with him sucks? That’s not the kind of thing most men want to hear.

It will be interesting to learn how this couple fares throughout the next few episodes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Do you think Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker will stay married or are their days as a couple headed down the tubes?

  • Kandi Burruss Now Has Beef With Phaedra Parks?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is no stranger to feuds. In fact, every episode focuses on the girls fighting and then trying to make up. And while it looks like the show is split into two camps with NeNe, Phaedra, Porsha on one side and Claudia, Kenya, and Cynthia on the other, one cast member seems to be caught in the middle of it all. Kandi Burruss is not only caught between the other cast members’ feuds, she’s also facing problems of her own. Her musical, A Mother’s Love, failed to take off, and on top of that, she’s also fighting with her mom.

“Mom and I had been arguing a lot at that time, and I just felt that she never accepted any responsibility for being wrong. She always finds a way to make me the bad guy,” Burruss told BravoTV about her feud with her mother. “When she said I’ve changed and that I’m not there for my family, I was too through!” For Burruss, the reason why she doesn’t visit her mother is because she wants to avoid all the negativity. Because being in the middle of feuding reality TV stars is grueling enough as it is.

In the same interview, Burruss also opened up about Phaedra Parks. Parks thinks that Kandi is siding with Apollo because he is good friends with Kandi’s husband, Todd. “I didn’t even know Phaedra had a problem with me like that,” Burruss said in the interview. “I have argued with Todd defending Phaedra. I have defended Phaedra when Apollo came around talking B.S. to everyone about their relationship. There have been plenty of times that I have taken up for Phaedra. No one can say that I have taken anybody’s side against her.”

Despite the countless times the group attempted to make peace with each other, it looks like the fighting will never stop until they stop talking behind each other’s backs.

  • Kandi Burruss: ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Star Talks Feud With Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore

Kandi Burruss: ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Star Talks Feud With Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore

Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta fame spoke out recently about the feud between costars Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore–and how she became part of it.

“Honestly, I was just over it,” Kandi Burruss wrote in a recent Bravo blog. “Every time we all get together, there has to be some lame ass ‘tea’ spilled, and I’m just tired of it.”

Kandi Burruss is, of course, referring to the ridiculous incident that took place on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, during which Phaedra Parks jumped across the table toward Kenya Moore, after accusations flew about Phaedra’s husband and about Phaedra cheating.

“What tripped me out was hearing Porsha and Phaedra make me out to be the enemy because I left the table two seconds later than they did,” Burruss continued. “That just felt like they said, ‘Hey, we’re going to put Kandi in the middle of this drama in some way.’”

It sounds like Kandi Burruss truly has had enough with the drama.

“Well if Phaedra is really going to play into this whole ‘Kandi’s not my friend because she didn’t jump into my argument and run out the room faster than me,’ then OK… So be it,” she added.

Kandi Burruss has also made news recently for another episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, during which she and her husband attend marriage counseling. It certainly sounds like Kandi’s marriage might already be over. The fact that a prenup was discussed prior to her marrying Todd Tucker definitely didn’t help matters any.

Is Kandi Burruss just a mess of confusion these days? Between being dragged in to the feud with Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks and trying to work out her marriage–does the Real Housewives of Atlanta star need a break from the ‘reality’ she’s experiencing on this reality show?

  • Kandi Burruss Apologizes To Kenya Moore Over Sexting Scandal

On the latest episode of Bravo’s hit reality program, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore broke down and got emotional over the sexting allegations between her and Apollo Nida, the husband of her co-star Phaedra Parks.

After Nida’s televised apology managed to sway fellow Housewife Kandi Burruss to Moore’s side, the two found themselves bonding over kickboxing practice and talking about the scandal. “I am going to do what I feel is right. It is wrong to have dissed this woman for two years, so I am going to apologize,” Burruss said to the cameras during her confessional moment.

The Kandi Factory star told Moore about what the other Housewives thought about her which then catapulted Moore to an emotional outburst. Moore rushed to the gym toilet, broke down, and shoved away the cameras. The microphones continued recording the encounter and Moore was heard saying, “I am not the f***ing liar, that man is a criminal, clearly there is something wrong with him. I have not done anything to them to deserve the things that they do to me.”

“They go too far, they are evil Kandi,” she added.

Before the emotional moment, Burruss had a spa day with Nene Leakes, Porsha Williams, and Phaedra Parks where they continued to dish out their hate for Moore. Leakes believe that Nida lied about lying just to make his soon-to-be ex-wife Williams angry.

Moore continues to struggle with the cold treatment that her fellow Housewives has given her. “I cannot win with these women. They want me to fail and to be painted as this crazy, horrible person. Why?”

For two years, the Housewives had maintained a safe distance away from Moore after Nida’s affair allegations. Nida has been slapped with an eight-year prison sentence after pleading guilty for bank fraud and identity theft last May and is due to enter jail soon.

  • Kandi Burruss Defends Comments: ‘The Justice System Is Harder On Black Men’

Kandi Burruss recently stirred up a heap of drama following her racially-charged speech about Apollo Nida on the season premiere of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The soon to be ex-husband of her cast-mate and friend Phaedra Parks is currently serving an eight-year sentence.

Nida was convicted of bank fraud, signalling a return to the criminal behavior he was previously jailed for prior to meeting Parks.

Even though the man in question is a repeat offender, Kandi Burruss felt it necessary to share that he probably wouldn’t have received such a harsh sentence if he weren’t black.

In response to backlash caused by her comments, Burruss used her RHOA blog to defend herself.

Said Burruss, “Some people felt that I was pulling the race card when I said, ‘I feel the justice system is harder on black men.’”

She explained that she hadn’t meant that Nida should avoid punishment and conviction for his bank fraud charges.

“I don’t want you to think that I feel like Apollo only went to jail because he was black,” said Kandi Burruss. “I definitely feel that if you break the law, you should have to go to jail and do your time for the crime.”

Instead, Kandi stated that she felt that the harsh nature of his sentence was indicative of inherent racial bias against black men.

“For example, I have a family member who committed a non-violent crime and got 13 years in prison. He did his time, came home, and after a few years he committed another non-violent crime and now he’s serving over 20 years in prison. There are murderers and rapists who have gotten less time.”

Kandi Burruss also believes that the treatment of felons and repeat offenders creates a vicious cycle that contributes to a higher recidivism rate.

As for her relationship with Apollo Nida’s ex Phaedra Parks, Burruss admitted that she’s worried about how her fellow cast-mate feels about her comments.

“It’s very hard. Phaedra is always assuming I’m siding with Apollo, which isn’t true. Todd and Apollo became pretty good friends, so I would say he takes Apollo’s side a lot.”

Do you think Kandi Burruss “played the race card” or is there a legitimate point to her argument?

  • Phaedra Parks Talks Cheating Rumors, Split From Apollo Nida

Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida’s marriage has been on the rocks for quite some time.

Their marital problems got even worse back in January when Apollo was indicted for fraud. Then, of course, there were rumors circulating about them both having affairs since they reportedly weren’t living together.

So, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is finally taking time to address all of the rumors about their marital problems and her estranged husband’s eight-year prison sentence, reports E! News.

On Wednesday, Oct. 15, the high-powered attorney appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she spoke candidly about her eventful year.

She and Ellen began their discussion with Apollo’s conviction. When asked if she was aware of her husband’s fraudulent actions, of course the 40-year-old reality star made it clear she had no idea what he was doing.

She also recounted how she found out he’d been arrested.

“Did you have anything in the back of your mind that he was doing anything?” Ellen asked. “This was for fraud right? Did you have any idea?”

“I really didn’t,” Phaedra insisted. “I mean, I work. I just got my fifth college degree. And so I’m pretty much an overachiever. I have two very small children. I just stopped breast-feeding three months ago. So, I didn’t have any idea this was going on until he called me and he said, ‘Hey, I’ve been arrested and I’m having this problem, but it’s not true,’” she explained.

Although Apollo has expressed his disdain about the lack of support he’s received from his wife during this difficult time in his life, the Secrets of the Southern Bell author says otherwise.

“So I went out of my way to get him the best attorneys, the best investigators, and to do anything I could, because I’m an attorney myself and so I wanted him to have the best. So we could fight this together, but obviously it did not turn out like that.”

Ellen went on to probe even more. The 56-year-old comedienne pointed out the fact that Phaedra met Apollo when he was on parole.

“So, there was a flag right? Or no?” Ellen asked. “Well, um…,” Phaedra said nervously. “Well, to be honest, he had been to prison and he was a changed person,” she explained. “So the person I married, I thought he was changed.”

Later in the discussion they chatted about all of the cheating allegations. Apparently, Apollo hasn’t been the only one accused of cheating. Phaedra has also been rumored to be having an affair with a man named “Chocolate.”

However, she clarified that she’s never cheated on her husband.

“I mean…I think it’s totally absurd to think that I cheated,” she admitted. “They’re saying that I had an affair with a man from Africa named Chocolate. Now, everybody knows that I do like a Snicker bar every once in a while, but it’s definitely not a man from Africa that I’ve ever had an affair with. I mean, It’s just absurd,” she said.

The seventh season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres Sunday, November 9.

  • Apollo Nida, Phaedra Parks Have Officially Split

Apollo Nida is behind bars for the next eight years, and his wife Phaedra Parks is filing for divorce.

According to CNN, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s representative released a statement about her intent to move forward with divorce proceedings. She has reportedly “retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage.”

An inside source close to the high powered attorney also spoke with People magazine about her feelings toward their split. “Phaedra is really disappointed with how all of this has turned out,” the source revealed.

The source also touched on Apollo’s legal woes where Phaedra is concerned. “[Phaedra] had no idea any of that [illegal activity] was going on.”

Several media outlets reported their marriage was on the rocks long before Apollo was indicted back in January. His legal woes only added to their marital problems. The source shed light on some of the issues they faced throughout their marriage.

“This divorce is going to be the best thing for her,” the source said. “Apollo was always really jealous of her success and the fact that she was the breadwinner.”

Although Apollo reportedly felt some type of way about his wife’s substantial income, Phaedra’s main concern has always been their children.

“The really sad part is their two little boys having to go through all of this,” the source continued. “She knows she will be better off without him,” the source said. “She’s a strong woman and a great mom and really adores her boys.”

Following Apollo’s sentencing, Phaedra’s attorney released a similar statement about where her focus lies.

“Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests,” the statement said. “This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

  • Phaedra Parks No Southern Belle? Alleged Affair Exposed On New ‘RHOA’ Season

Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida’s marital drama never ends!

So, fans can definitely expect to see a lot when the upcoming seventh season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres. However, the season premiere is still a month away!

Of course, rumors are circulating about a number of marital problems that have reportedly surfaced over the past couple months.

But, now that Apollo is behind bars, fans are wondering what’s next for the high-powered attorney. If Bravo’s sneak peak of the new season is anything to go by, it seems Ms. Parks has already moved on!

According to Radar Online, details about Phaedra’s alleged affair are about to surface.

A inside source close to the show has revealed the “Southern Belle” has been trying to paint a bad picture of her estranged husband, but she reportedly hasn’t been on her best behavior either! The new season may reveal the truth.

“Phaedra has been trying to paint Apollo as the loose cannon…” the source said. “What a joke! The truth will come out on the new season of RHOA.”

The source also revealed when the dynamic of their relationship allegedly changed. “She and Apollo were doing fine until she stopped showing up to his court dates. Apollo knew something was different.”

Apollo reportedly discovered a lot of his wife’s “dirty laundry” before he left to report to prison. So, he went to her home to confront her about the alleged affair.

“He found her phone and downloaded messages,” the source revealed. “This was all captured on film. When Phaedra thought he had left for prison, he showed up at their home as she was changing the locks.”

“He confronted her about the affair rumors,” the source said. Phaedra has also been accused of “trying to sway the public to her side,” but she reportedly has her own skeletons in the closet. The source also alleges that Phaedra wants nothing to do with Apollo and refuses to help him in any way.

“Apollo asked her to put money on his books while he is away in prison and she said no and laughed at him,” the source said. “He begged her to bring his sons to see him and she also said no.”

In a nutshell, the source insists Phaedra is “no southern belle!”

The seventh season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 8/7c.

  • Phaedra Parks Reportedly Starts Catfight With Kenya Moore On Real Housewives Of Atlanta Set

A major fight reportedly broke out on the set of reality TV series The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently. Phaedra Parks lashed out at castmate Kenya Moore because the latter was goading her about her husband, Apollo Nida, who has just started serving his eight-year prison sentence for fraud. Parks reportedly became infuriated when Moore brought up the subject of her husband and even accused her of cheating on Nida throughout their marriage.

Despite being given a warning from Parks about talking about her husband and other personal matters, Moore, a former Miss USA, was relentless. According to MediaTakeout.com, Parks at one point lunged at Moore and tried to put her hands on her. It was reportedly Moore’s accusation about Parks cheating on Nida that made the mother of two snap. Fellow castmate Kandi Buruss restrained Parks before she could hurt Moore.

Nida started serving his prison sentence earlier this month, and Parks is believed to be having a hard time dealing with her family situation. Her publicist told CNN recently, “Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests. This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

Meanwhile, a source told RadarOnline.com that Parks plans to file for divorce from Nida while he is incarcerated in a Kentucky facility. “There were serious trust issues with Apollo, and Phaedra suspects he has been unfaithful, and has been burning through money. Phaedra has always been the breadwinner, and she began to resent it,” the source said.

However, in an interview with The Breakfast Club, Buruss, who is close with Parks, said that she didn’t advise her friend to get a divorce. “For me, if it were my husband, I wouldn’t leave him just because he was going to jail. If it was about the other stuff that was going on that would be different,” she said.

  • Phaedra Parks Breaks Her Silence About Her Husband’s Prison Sentence

Phaedra Parks hasn’t said anything about her husband Apollo Nida’s indictment or eight-year prison sentence – until now.

According to E! News, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s spokesperson Steve Honig has released an official statement on her behalf.

Honig briefly explained the high-powered attorney’s perspective of the situation and how she plans to move forward with her career endeavors and family priorities.

Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests,” the statement read. “This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family,” her spokesman added, “and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

A source close to Parks also shared details about the alleged strain his ordeal has put on their family. Nida has reportedly neglected his children all summer because he’s “been out partying every single night.”

The source also revealed financial support has been his only purpose for communicating with his wife. Since the government ceased all of his fraudulent assets, he hasn’t been as financially independent as he once was. Nida also owes the government $2 million in restitution, so he’s reportedly concerned about whether or not Parks is going to assist him with footing that bill.

“When he does speak to Phaedra, it’s always about money,” the source said. “He owes a huge debt in restitution and he wants to know if she’s going to help him with it. ‘Are you going to give me money?’ is always his question. He still wants her financial support.”

If the divorce rumors turn out to be true, Nida is definitely going to be stuck with the bill. Christian Today recently reported the restitution penalty could be one of the biggest motivating factors for Parks decision to proceed with divorce.

Will Phaedra Parks divorce Apollo Nida? She has yet to confirm or deny the rumors. So, only time will tell.

  • Phaedra Parks Fed Up With Husband Apollo Nida, His Eight-Year Sentence Begins

Speculations about RHOA star Phaedra Parks possibly divorcing her husband Apollo Nida started brewing following Nida’s sentencing to eight years in prison for money laundering and check fraud.

According to HollywoodLife the The Real Housewives of Atlanta regular and mother-of-two is not sympathetic to the fact that her husband will be spending almost a decade behind bars.

“She’s disgusted. She’s angry. But because of Ayden and Dylan [her kids], she’s keeping face and being the nice dutiful wife,” according to a source. “This entire ordeal is extremely hard on her not because Apollo’s going to jail, she thinks he’s getting what he deserves, it’s most difficult because her boys have lost their father. That, to her, is the biggest loss of it all.”

The source continued to say that Parks, who also authored the book The Secrets of the Southern Belle, will likely file for a divorce while Nida is detained.

“That part has yet to be determined,” the source said. “She will though. She’s not planning on sticking by Apollo for eight years. She’s a great woman and will love you to death, but she’s fed up with Apollo and this time she’s making sure he will never disappoint her or their children.”

For the present, Parks plans to focus on parenting and helping her children live normal lives, according to her rep: “Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests. This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

Nida was ordered by the court to turn himself in on Wednesday. As of the noon deadline however, Nida was still making a scene in Parks’ house, according to a report from TMZ. He was apparently confronting her for not putting money in his prison account as well as for not taking their children to see him when he was in prison the first time.

  • Phaedra Parks: ‘RHOA’ Star’s Estranged Husband Apollo Nida Begins Prison Sentence

Phaedra Parks‘ husband Apollo Nida is no longer a free man.

According to TMZ, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has officially turned himself in at the FMC Lexington in Kentucky.

On July 8, Nida was sentenced to eight years behind bars for conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud. However, his indictment and alleged marital problems have been making headlines since January.

TMZ also reported Nida didn’t leave his reality TV star wife on good terms. For the last two months, he’s reportedly been spending most of his time drinking and enjoying the strip club scene.

Sources close to Parks have revealed she is definitely disappointed in him. In addition to spending late nights out, Nida has also been neglecting their two young sons all summer. Although the two have reportedly been living in separate homes for almost a year, his actions toward the children have only caused more friction between him and Parks.

So, what does all of this mean for their reportedly troubled marriage? Well, it’s been rumored that their relationship won’t be considered a marriage for much longer.

The high-powered attorney has made a gratuitous effort to separate herself from the negative publicity surrounding her estranged husband’s legal woes. Now, Parks is reportedly looking to sever ties with Nida altogether.

According to Christian Today, Parks is planning to divorce her husband for a number of reasons. Surprisingly, his prison sentence is only one of the issues in their marriage. He’s also been left with a staggering $2 million restitution penalty. Nida reportedly has 20 years to pay the full amount of the penalty, so he will be responsible for an estimated $100,000 annually.

The publication also reported as long as Parks is married to Nida, she’ll also be held accountable for the repayment of the amount he’s been forced to pay. So, in a nutshell, her decision to file for divorce is also a way to protect her assets.

However, she has yet to confirm or deny the divorce rumors. Sources close to Parks’ have only confirmed that her main focus right now is working and maintaining a sense of normalcy for their children.

  • Phaedra Parks Already Divorcing Apollo Nida?

Phaedra Parks’ name has been floating around quite a bit since her estranged husband Apollo Nida was convicted for his involvement in a massive fraud case.

Back in July, Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison. Last week, reports began circulating when news surfaced about Nida being ordered to turn himself in at the FMC Lexington by noon on September 10.

Now, in light of the reality TV star beginning his eight-year prison sentence, the divorce rumors are on the rise. However, Nida’s imprisonment isn’t the only reason Parks may be throwing in the towel.

Her husband was also hit with a hefty restitution penalty – $2 million to be exact!

According to Christian Today, Parks’ motivation for divorce is the avoidance of that penalty. The publication also reports that details about Parks’ intentions are expected to be revealed during season 7 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

If she opts to stay in the marriage, she could be held accountable for the payment of her husband’s restitution expenses, which would amount to approximately $100,000 annually over the next 20 years. The high-powered attorney reportedly sees divorce as a “a good financial decision.”

However, speculation of divorce is actually nothing new for the reality TV couple. They’ve reportedly been living in separate homes since some time last year. Parks was also nowhere to be found when her husband was sentenced in July.

During an interview, Nida expressed exactly how he felt about the lack of support he received from his wife throughout his times of trouble. Needless to say, he definitely wasn’t pleased with her actions.

“I mean, my wife didn’t even f–king show up for my sentencing,” he said. “I’m still salty about that.” He even admitted he wouldn’t be surprised if she decided to end their marriage during his incarceration. When asked if he thought their marriage would last, he simply said, “I doubt it.”

Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida have two children together – Ayden, 3, and Dylan, 15 months.

  • Kandi Burruss Dishes About Phaedra Parks Amid Her Husband Apollo Nida’s Jail Sentence

Kandi Burruss’ close friend and Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star, Phaedra Parks, is going through a lot these days.

On Tuesday, July 8, Parks’ husband Apollo Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison and five years probation for “for conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud,” according to the States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.

Several media outlets reported Parks was not in attendance for her husband’s sentencing. It has also been rumored that the two have not lived together for months. So, many fans have wondered how Parks is dealing with her husband’s highly publicized legal woes.

During a recent interview with Hollywood Life, Burruss revealed that surprisingly the high-profile celebrity attorney isn’t worried about Apollo Nida. The “Fly Above” singer shared a few details about her friend’s life, and why she doesn’t have time to focus on her reportedly estranged husband.

“Phaedra’s doing great,” Burruss confirmed. “She’s basically working. That’s how I deal with things too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work,” she explained.

The reality TV star confirmed that Parks is currently focusing her energy on the advancement and promotion of her book Secrets of the Southern Belle.

“I know that she’s promoting her book and doing the book tour and stuff like that and she’s not really trying to focus as much on what’s happening,” she said. Parks definitely has a schedule between work-related priorities, taping for the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Atlanta and raising their two boys – Ayden and Dylan. So that would justify her lack of concern for her husband, right?

Parks’ disappearing act for her husband’s sentencing has sent the rumor mill into high gear yet again. Now, rumors are circulating about the possibility of divorce. However, Nida hopes that Parks will stick by him during this difficult period in his life.

Back in May, the 37-year-old reality TV star spoke candidly about his wife with well-known local radio personality Wanda Smith on Atlanta’s V-103. Although he seemed hopeful, it’s obvious he’s uncertain about the future of their marriage.

“I think Phaedra, in a perfect world, should be supportive as a wife should be … But if she chooses to derail from the plan, then that’s what she chooses to do,” he said. “Whatever’s been thrown at me, I deal with it. I would like to say I would want her to stay around and do what a wife should do. But tomorrow’s not promised.”

Do you think their marriage survive Nida’s prison sentence? Fans will have to wait and see how things turn out for Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida.

  • Apollo Nida Will Still Have To Deal With The Feds After Prison

Apollo Nida, husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud. According to recent reports, the federal government will be keeping an eye on Nida after he serves his eight-year sentence.

Based on court documents, Nida will have to complete 100 hours of community service after his release. He also needs to cut his ties with all convicted felons and stay clear of places where alcohol and drugs are sold illegally. Furthermore, he is banned from carrying firearms and other weapons. He will also have to go to alcohol and drug treatment programs that he will need to pay for with his own money.

The final probationary rule set for Nida is that he has to pay $150 monthly in restitution. He will also be subjected to random audits, and he will have to disclose all his finances to the authorities.

Amidst all this, Parks is keeping herself busy and staying positive. She was not present during her husband’s sentencing. Kandi Burruss, Parks’ co-star in Real Housewives of Atlanta, said that her friend is doing a good job coping with everything that is happening around her.

“She’s basically working. That’s how I deal with things too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work. I know that she’s promoting her book and doing the book tour and stuff like that and she’s not really trying to focus as much on what’s happening,” Burruss said.

Parks is busy promoting her book Secrets Of The Southern Belle: How To Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, And Never Have An Off Moment.

There were also reports that Parks and Nida are having marital problems. Many are wondering if the couple’s relationship will survive while Nida serves his time. Parks is reportedly also concerned about her two sons Ayden and Dylan growing up without their father.

  • Kandi Burruss: Of Phaedra Parks And Prenups

If you are wondering if Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is crying into her pillow at night over the recent incarceration of husband Apollo Nida, then don’t.

According to castmate Kandi Burruss, she is putting on a brave face and is “doing just fine” despite being in the midst of scandal.

Hollywood Life got an exclusive word on the matter from Burruss, who is a good friend of Parks. The gossip site insists that if anyone knew the current state of mind of the RHOA star, it would be Burruss.

    “She’s basically working”, said Burruss.

Burruss admitted that she understood how Parks felt, in that she too would throw herself into work when faced with stressful situations in life.

“I know that [Phaedra Parks is] promoting her book and doing the book tour and stuff like that and she’s not really trying to focus as much on what’s happening.”

Phaedra Parks’s husband Apollo Nida pled guilty to charges of bank fraud and identity theft. He was sentenced to eight years in jail on July 8th.

Though Nida hopes wife Parks will “stand by him”, he admits that “tomorrow’s not promised”.

Eight years is a long time and following the widely publicized scandal, it’s very possible that Parks may decide to move on.

As for friend Kandi Burruss, she recently tied the knot with beau Todd Tucker.

Some were skeptical about a wedding even happening since Burruss laid down one hell of a prenup. Eventually Tucker came around and the two lovebirds were married.

The turn of events left Burruss’s mother “Mama Joyce” out in the cold. The Real Houswives star recently admitted that though the prenup nightmare is now behind her, sadly she and her mother are currently estranged and not speaking to each other.

Apparently Burruss’s mother does not like or approve of Tucker or his family.

  • Phaedra Parks’ Husband Gets 8 Years in Prison

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks’ husband Apollo Nida was handed an eight-year prison sentence by a federal judge for defrauding over 50 people of roughly $2 million over a four-year period.

Nida, who had spent time behind bars from 2003 to 2009 for auto theft, was initially looking at 30 years, but his cooperation with authorities helped with the reduced sentence.

Soon after being released in 2009, Nida opened a fake debt collection agency to gain access to databases full of debtors’ personal information. He would then steal identities to locate unclaimed funds, refunds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, stolen U.S. treasury checks and refunds from fraudulent U.S. income tax returns.

Nida had an accomplice named Gayla St. Julien, who opened UPS mailboxes and bank checking accounts using those fake identities, deposited the checks, then pocketed the money. Nida went on to create a fake car dealership, and took out auto loans for cars that didn’t exist. The Secret Service eventually tracked St. Julien down, and she led them to Nida.

Fellow Atlantan housewife Kenya Moore took to Twitter to express her opinion on the sentencing:

Reginald G. Moore, Special Agent in Charge of the United States Secret Service, Atlanta Field Office, commented, “Today’s sentencing exemplifies impartial justice regardless of economic class or perceived celebrity status. Nida’s sentence should be an eye opener for other like-minded criminals who scheme to steal victims’ identities, defraud them and ignore the consequences of their actions.”

After sentencing, Nida commented, “The government did what they had to do,” adding, “I want to apologize to the victims. I want to apologize to my family for letting them down.” Nida remains free on bond, and will likely have to turn himself in to begin his sentence within three to six weeks.

    Here Phaedra explains Apollo’s job:

Nida explained that his reasoning behind his criminal actions revolved around feeling pressure to make money to keep up with his wife’s high-profile attorney income and “Real Housewives” salary. He added that because of his status as a convicted felon, finding a legitimate job was a challenge.

  • Apollo Nida: ‘RHOA’ Star Gets Eight-Year Sentence, Wife Phaedra Parks Devastated

Apollo Nida, husband of The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks, was arrested in January. He plead guilty to mail, wire, and bank fraud in May.

Judge Charles A Pannell, Jr. said that Nida will serve eight years in prison and afterwards will be placed on supervised release for five years. Initially, Nida faced up to 30 years in prison for his crimes, but his sentence was lessened, as he cooperated with the federal investigation.

Nida’s lawyer Thomas D. Bever said, “On behalf of my client Apollo, right now he feels remorse. He thought the judge was fair, and accepts his sentence, although he was hoping it would be less”

In a written affidavit, Nida reportedly made up fake businesses in order to access databases and find people he could rip off. He opened bank accounts under those names and funneled loan proceeds and checks to those accounts.

An insider revealed how his wife Phaedra Parks is dealing with the entire situation. “The only thing she’s worried about is Ayden and Dylan growing up without their dad,” the source said. Nida and Parks’ two boys are both under the age of four.

“She knows just how important it is for her children, and young black boys in general, to grow up with a father,” the source continued.

The source revealed that Parks is devastated by the news and she is disappointed that Nida will be missing some of the most important events in his children’s lives, however the source said that Parks will be alright.

This is not the first time Nida got in trouble with the authorities. From 2004 to 2009, Nida served time for auto title fraud.

  • Phaedra Parks Responds to Fraud Rumors in Affidavit

Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star Phaedra Parks recently came forward stating that she had no involvement in any fraudulent acts.

Parks’ husband, Apollo Nida, is currently facing prison time for identity theft, stolen cars, and bank frauds if he doesn’t reach a plea deal by April 25.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Parks has appeared to be quite calm about the matter. So, it’s no surprise that at least one person would be a little suspicious about Parks’ impartiality.

One published author asserts that the RHOA celebrity was the mastermind behind all of it and not Nida-as many have claimed.

Angela Stanton, the writer of Lies of a Real Housewife, argues that her former friend and lawbreaking partner certainly played a major part in Nida’s swindles.

In the book, Stanton mentions how the “crooked snake” and her hubby were both in charge of a “criminal enterprise.”

The allegations were soon followed by a defamation lawsuit after the book was published in 2o12.

New information now displays Parks’ response to the rumors.

She decided to defend her reputation in an affidavit, which was filed March 31 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

Parks plans to use the court documents as evidence against Stanton.

    According to the written statement:

Due to the falsity of the material in the book, and to protect her reputation, on or about September 26, 2012, [Parks] filed a defamation action against [Stanton].

Stanton knew the statements she made about the plaintiff were false when she made them. I have no knowledge of or connection with any ‘bank fraud scheme and was never involved in any criminal enterprise with [Stanton].

I have never been arrested for a crime or charged with any crime, I have never been questioned by any law enforcement agency about any possible involvement in a crime. I have never been involved in any criminal schemes with Defendant Stanton or anyone else. I have never committed any crime other than routine traffic violations.

What do you think? Is Parks really capable of fraud?

Well, if so, that’s surely not how a ‘southern belle’ is supposed to conduct oneself.
