Donnie Wahlberg, Mark Wahlberg Vegas Bound

Donnie Wahlberg might be a newlywed, and very wrapped up in his marriage to Jenny McCarthy, but that doesn’t mean he’s not still a businessman at heart. He and brother Mark Wahlberg–along with their brother, executive chef at Wahlburgers, Paul Wahlberg–are headed to Las Vegas to open three new Wahlburgers restaurants. The first of the three is scheduled to open in early 2015 at an as-yet undisclosed location in the city. The other two restaurants will reportedly open within the next five years.

“My brothers and I have been committed to doing things right with high standards of quality from the beginning. We are glad to have found partners who will uphold our values and create something really special for Las Vegas residents and people from all over the world who visit this incredible destination,” Paul Wahlberg said in a press release.

Donnie Wahlberg–who stars in Blue Bloods alongside Tom Selleck–spoke with Boston.com recently. He indicated that he’s experienced lots of changes–but lots of success, too–in the past year or so.

“In one short year,” he said, “I’m married, ‘Wahlburgers’ is now on TV and a hit show, we’re opening restaurants everywhere and I’ve probably went from the busiest guy on earth to the happiest guy on earth.”

Ummm–Blue Bloods? He forgot to mention he stars in Blue Bloods. Maybe romance has gone to his head? At least he tweets about the show.

Donnie Wahlberg married Jenny McCarthy on August 31st. McCarthy says he’s a bona fide romantic.

“Two to three times a week, Donnie sends me a bouquet of flowers and it literally says, ‘Just because I love you.’ I am like, ‘I can’t believe you! Please don’t ever stop that, please please,’” Jenny McCarthy says.

Will opening three restaurants in Vegas curb Donnie Wahlberg’s romantic enthusiasm? Or will Paul Wahlberg handle the majority of the Wahlburgers operations?

Those Wahlberg brothers are busy guys. Do you predict even more success for Donnie Wahlberg, Mark Wahlberg, and their brother Paul? Or will Wahlburgers hit a wall when they expand to Las Vegas?

  • “Wahlburgers” Hingham Premiere Sells Out In An Hour

Massachusetts sure loves the Wahlberg boys.

The famous brothers Donnie and Mark Wahlberg, along with their brother Paul and mother Alma, will be on the upcoming A&E reality show Wahlburgers about their family restaurant with the same name.

The three brothers co-own the restaurant Wahlburgers and Paul is the executive chef at the Hingham, Massachusetts restaurant.

Paul invited people to purchase tickets for $25 a pop to attend a benefit event to celebrate the premiere of the reality show Wahlburgers. The Wahlberg’s desire to help the youth organization, the Dorchester Youth Collaborative, influenced their decision to host the benefit event.

The restaurant took to their Twitter account to announce the sale of the tickets.

Tickets went on sale Wednesday at noon for the premiere of Wahlburgers. An hour later they were sold out.

The premiere event takes place on January 22 at Hingham Harbor. One-hundred-percent of the proceeds from the 100 tickets sold will be donated to the Dorchester Youth Collaborative.

Paul said, “It’s all about the Dorchester Youth Collaborative, and the money is going to benefit them, so I’m really happy for them.”

The $2,500 raised from ticket sales will help low-income urban youth. Donations can also be made during the event.

“It’s a program that Mark [Wahlberg] has been affiliated with for a long time. We’re very excited for it, and they were excited as well. It’s a great program, what they do over there is amazing,” said Paul.

He added, “It seemed like the right thing to do for Wahlburgers, and for people affiliated with the restaurant stuff. It’s more about them than it is for me. It’s showing our gratitude to them. And it’s for a very good cause.”

Those attending the event will indulge in an assortment of sliders and drinks at Wahlburgers starting at 8 p.m. Attendees will then head to the Patriot Cinemas and watch the screening of the premiere at the same time it will premiere on A&E.

One fan on Twitter is hoping that someone who purchased one of the coveted tickets will want to sell it.

Donnie recently posted a video on Vine of the four stars of Wahlburgers in a competition of “Who’s the tallest Wahlberg?”

For those not fortunate enough to get tickets to the premiere event in Hingham, you can watch Wahlburgers on A&E January 22 at 10:30 p.m. EST.
