  • Neve Campbell: No “Party of Five” Reboot

Neve Campbell says fans of Party of Five shouldn’t expect a reboot a la Fuller House. In fact, she doesn’t think the notion makes any sense at all.

“I don’t think that would make any sense,” she said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, which posted her quote online Thursday. “We’re all way older! That was a long time ago. We’ve all moved on, we all adore each other, and we’re still friends, but no, I don’t think that would make sense to do a reboot.”

Party of Five, which starred Neve Campbell, Lacey Chabert, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and more, had a huge following in the mid-1990s. It won a Golden Globe for Best TV Drama in 1996.

Even though she’s not in favor of a Party of Five reboot, Neve Campbell says she’s definitely up for another installment in the Scream film franchise. It’s uncertain where she’d find the time, however.

Neve Campbell is a busy mom to son Caspian, who was born in 2012, and she plays the role of political fundraiser Leann Harvey on House of Cards.

Are you a Neve Campbell fan? Do you agree with her that a Party of Five reboot makes no sense?

  • Jennifer Love Hewitt: Why She Left ‘Criminal Minds’ After Just One Season

Jennifer Love Hewitt has said goodbye to Criminal Minds after starring on the CBS crime thriller for only one season. Why did her time end so soon?

E! Online reports it was her choice to leave.

If you missed the Wednesday, May 6th episode of Criminal Minds, then let this serve as a spoiler alert. You’ve obviously learned from the title and opening line that Jennifer Love Hewitt left the show–but you still don’t know what her final episode entailed.

That final episode was a case of life imitating art–or perhaps it was the other way around. Jennifer Love Hewitt’s character, Kate, saw her daughter and friend kidnapped in the season 10 finale. The character, like the Party of Five and Ghost Whisperer star, was also expecting another child, and decided to take some time away from work to focus on her family.

Showrunner Erica Messer said that wasn’t the original plan, but the writers worked it in.

“It felt like we had every opportunity to write to the truth of it: She’s having another baby. Although on the show she hasn’t had, physically, two babies, she does have two kids: She has Meg, who she’s been raising since she was an infant, and we wrote in that the character is going to have another baby. There was an opportunity there to write towards the truth. Jennifer wanted to be able to give this second baby everything she gave her first, and that’s taking time off to be a full-time mom. Because she’s due in July, when we would start shooting season 11, timing-wise there was no way for her to do both, to be able to give that baby everything she wanted to give that baby and still be on our show,” Messer said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “We wrote to that, and that’s how season 10 ends. It’s a bittersweet idea of, ‘Life is full of choices and they define who you are.’ She makes the decision to leave the team for a while. It’s really lovely and real, not only because it was happening off-screen, but because I know those things happen in real life too.”

Might Jennifer Love Hewitt return to Criminal Minds after she spends some time at home with her new baby and daughter Autumn, who was born in November of 2013?

    Never say never.

There is in fact a chance of that happening. For now, however, it’s not part of the foreseeable future on Criminal Minds.

Were you disappointed to learn Jennifer Love Hewitt said goodbye to Criminal Minds on Wednesday night’s episode?

  • Jennifer Love Hewitt: Second Pregnancy ‘Magical’

Jennifer Love Hewitt is sporting a very obvious baby bump these days, and during a recent interview for American Baby’s May issue, she calls this–her second pregnancy–magical.

“Pregnancy is magical,” she told the publication. “I’m grateful. It’s not lost on me what a gift it is to be able to get pregnant.”

Daughter Autumn was born in November of 2013, and Jennifer Love Hewitt admits she learned a lot from that pregnancy.

“I’ve been an actress for 25 years, and have had to be hungry at times for my career, so being pregnant is completely freeing,” the Criminal Minds actress explained. “When I was expecting Autumn, I ate everything I saw! I told myself, ‘Oh there’s a donut–I should have that.’ Now with this second pregnancy, I know the baby really doesn’t ‘need it.’ So I eat healthy foods in general, but I also indulge in little things that I crave.”

“Your body changes so much, and there’s a sensuality about that,” she added. “I say accentuate the fact that your legs look thinner than they ever have, and your boobs look great: Work it!”

Jennifer Love Hewitt also shared that being pregnant has resulted in her having beautiful hair and nails–and that the way people treat you while pregnant is a huge plus, too.

“You will never be treated as kindly in your whole life as you are when you’re pregnant, especially by complete strangers,” she said. “People open doors for you and ask things like, ‘Do you need some water?’”

American Sniper actor Brian Hallisay–Jennifer Love Hewitt’s husband of two years now–reportedly treats the Party of Five alum like a queen.

“I tell Brian he should be a male doula because he was a genius during labor,” she told American Baby her hubby. “He’s a very calm, super-stable person by nature and doesn’t add drama. He treats me to things, like when I text him that I’m craving the cherry pie from Ralph’s market. I think most men get these superpowers when their partners are pregnant.”

It sounds like pregnancy truly is magical for Jennifer Love Hewitt. With her revelations, she likely has made more than a few women a little bit jealous. After all, not everyone looks as adorable as she does while pregnant, and they’re not all married to handsome American Sniper stars.

  • Jennifer Love Hewitt Thought She Was Being Punk’d When She Got the ‘Criminal Minds’ Call

Jennifer Love Hewitt didn’t have much of a break between the cancellation of her show The Client List and the call she received to appear on Criminal Minds and says she wasn’t quite ready to make the transition.

The 36-year-old actress planned to take a break from work to spend more time with her daughter, Autumn, but her plans were nixed when she was asked to take on the role of Kate Callahan on long-running CBS series.

According to E! Online, Hewitt jumped on the chance to star on the show despite her plans.

“When I got the call, I was in my sweatpants, with no makeup, making stuffed bell peppers in my kitchen, where I’ve been for a while post-baby,” the actress told the website, adding that she thought she was getting “punk’d.”

But when she realized the call was legit, Hewitt says she was thrilled to return to television in the acclaimed series.

“I had been on a break for a bit being a mommy,” Hewitt told Entertainment Weekly. “They were looking to add a new cast member and obviously I spent some time at CBS before, doing Ghost Whisperer. Honestly, I had always wondered and been waiting to find the perfect way to get back. My first CBS experience was so awesome. They’re great, and Les [Moonves] has been great to me. I was really excited when they called and asked to take a meeting. I met with [showrunner] Erica [Messer], who I’ve known since I was 14 from Party of Five. I hadn’t seen her in a really long time, so it was great to catch up with her. It all fit and the timing was perfect.”

Despite what she might be feeling about her readiness for the role, Hewitt‘s costars seem thrilled she joined the show.

  • Jennifer Love Hewitt to Join ‘Criminal Minds’ in the Fall

Jennifer Love Hewitt will trade in her “working girl” attire for a badge come this fall.

The Client List actress, who played a masseuse-turned-prostitute in the failed series, will join the Behavioral Analysis Unit of Criminal Minds, as an undercover FBI agent, CBS announced Tuesday.

Hewitt will play Kate Callahan, a “seasoned undercover agent whose stellar work at the FBI has landed her a coveted position with the Behavioral Analysis Unit.”

“We’re thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Jennifer Love Hewitt to our amazing cast,” said executive producer/showrunner Erica Messer. “Many of us on the show have enjoyed working with her over the years and look forward to again. We have exciting storylines planned for her character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 10th season.”

Hewitt joins other cast members Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook and Kirsten Vangsness in the series’ 10th season premiere on Oct. 10.

Hewitt is returning to CBS, the network that was home to her last network series, Ghost Whisperer, which ran for five seasons on the network before ending in 2010.

This role could be quite a departure from what we’ve seen from the actress thus far. While a few of her roles have had some criminal element to it, this will be the first time we’ll see the actress in as a “seasoned” undercover agent, in other words edgy.

The actress gave birth to her first child, daughter Autumn James Hallisay, just weeks after the cancelation of The Client List.

Hewitt’s other acting credits include Party of Five and the horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer.

  • Lacey Chabert Brings Tragedy-to-Love Story to TV

Party of Five actress Lacey Chabert will star in a new Hallmark Channel movie to air Saturday.

Based on a true story, Chabert will play Gina Kell, a young widow who falls for a widower Michael Spehn in The Color of Rain.

“To me, it just says that hope and faith are just so important, and get you through things you never imagined you’d have to suffer through,” Chabert said.

The young widow, who loses her husband to cancer on Christmas Day, meets a man who also loses his wife to cancer just a few weeks after Gina’s husband dies. The grief-stricken friends, who have five children between them, begin to work through their heartbreak and come to lean on one another.

The character of Gina is based on the real-life author of the book, The Color of Rain, released in 2011.

Chabert said that she found it to be an “exciting chance” to portray someone’s real-life story and said she was moved by what Gina and Michael experienced.

  • Jennifer Love Hewitt Has a Baby Girl

Jennifer Love Hewitt Has a Baby Girl

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, 34, gave birth to a baby girl named Autumn James on Tuesday, November 26th. Love Hewitt’s publicist also revealed to US Weekly that The Client List star also recently married the baby’s father, costar Brian Hallisay, 35, in a quiet ceremony.

“Jennifer Love Hewitt and her husband Brian Hallisay are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter,” Love Hewitt’s representative says, and a source adds that the couple “got married recently in private.”

Back in June, Love Hewitt announced that she was expecting, but wanted to keep the gender of the baby a surprise. “You sort of have these pictures in your mind of what (the baby’s going to look like),” Love Hewitt said. “I’m really excited to see what he or she is going to look like!”

Below is a clip of the new parents on The Client List:

The actress, producer, author, television director and singer-songwriter got her start on the Disney Channel series Kids Incorporated. Her first major role was as the character Sarah Reeves Merrin, on Fox’s Party of Five, from 1995-2000. Love Hewitt also starred as Melinda Gordon on CBS’ Ghost Whisperer from 2005-2010, and is currently featured on Lifetime’s The Client List, which garnered her a Golden Globe nomination. The Client List was cancelled this year.

On her pregnancy, Love Hewitt commented, “I think most people, when they’re getting ready to be a mom, they go, ‘Oh my gosh, I have to have all of the answers right now,’ but every kid is different, every parent is different and every child and parent relationship is different, so you just sort of have to wait until you’re in it and do the best that you can to try to be Zen in the middle of it all.”

Before working on The Client List together, Love Hewitt and Hallisay were both featured on the defunct NBC series Love Bites. The couple began dating in 2012.
