  • Kate Gosselin Returns to TLC, Set To Appear On ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

Kate Gosselin is headed back to reality TV – at least for one night.

According to ABC News, the TLC television network has confirmed that the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star will be a part of a one-night special coined Kate Plus 8.

The program will “bring fans up to speed on what’s changed in the family,” since their series went off the air in November of 2009.

The network later issued a press release about the special. An official announcement was also posted to the network’s Twitter timeline. Kate confirmed the announcement via Twitter, as well.

“In 2007, viewers first fell in love with one of the most talked about families in reality television history,” a TLC press release read.

“With the twins now 13, and the sextuplets about to turn 10, Cara, Mady, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel join their mother in this update about their life as a family today.”

The network has not stated whether Jon Gosselin will appear for the special. If the press release is any indication, chances are the Gosselin patriarch won’t be involved.

However, the network intends to reveal how much the children have grown over the years. The special will also chronicle Kate‘s evolving life which centers around motherhood and her career.

In addition to the TLC special, the 38-year-old reality TV star mom is also reportedly scheduled to appear on season 14 of Celebrity Apprentice. US Weekly reports that the upcoming season Donald Trump’s boardroom-based reality game show will also feature Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville, rapper-actor Ludacris, and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore.

The Kate Plus 8 one-hour special is scheduled to air on Sunday, June 6 at 10:00 ET on TLC.

  • Kate Gosselin and Children Will Air on TLC for One-Night Special

It looks like Kate Gosselin and her eight children may make a reappearance on TLC this coming June.

The network plans to air a one-night special of the Kate Plus 8 reality stars.

We were first introduced to Gosselin and her massive family during the original 2007 TV show Jon & Kate Plus 8, which also featured her former husband Jon Gosselin. After their split and divorce two years later, she went on to land a solo reality show in 2010.

However, a network rep told People in 2011 that they decided not to renew Gosselin’s contract:

“By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon&Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future.”

It seems like TLC kept their promise.

Since the show’s cancelation, the Gosselin children have matured tremendously. The twins, Mady and Cara, are now 13-year-old teenagers. The sextuplets-Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel-are also now nine years old.

TLC network says that the special will be an update on the children and their experience growing up in the spotlight. Gosselin’s current career will also be highlighted.

Gosselin has reportedly been unemployed for some time. The former nurse said in a recent interview that she has been making ends meet through other business ventures.

Apparently, Gosselin adores the fame she receives and highly depends on it as reliable income. Her ex-husband has previously expressed how reality TV has negative developmental effects on their children.

Jon told Philadelphia Magazine in December, “Kate wants to still be on television. She’s now digging into the past, because that’s what sells. Too late, honey. No one gives a f***, really.”

Do you think that Kate Plus 8 should return to showbiz, even if it’s for one night?
