  • Ryan Seacrest Reacts to News of ‘American Idol’ Cancellation

Ryan Seacrest, the only constant player on American Idol since its inception, has spoken out regarding word that American Idol is ending following its 15th season, which begins in January.

In a statement issued to People magazine, Ryan Seacret shared what the show has meant to him.

American Idol has been a big part of my life for so long, it’s frankly hard to imagine it without it,” the statement reads. “It’s been a remarkable journey, and I feel very fortunate to have been part of a show that made television history in countless ways.”

He then talked about the impact American Idol has made on his career.

“It’s a show about chasing and fulfilling dreams, and truth be told, it helped some of my own dreams come true, too,” Ryan Seacrest said.

Life seemed to get better and better once Ryan Seacrest signed on to serve as host on American Idol. Two years later he became the new host of American Top 40. A month later he took over Los Angeles radio station KIIS’s morning show–now called On Air With Ryan Seacrest. He has served as host and executive producer of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve since 2005.

“The last season will undoubtedly be a special and emotional one, but first I’m looking forward to closing out Season 14. The finale is always my favorite part–two live shows with lots of surprises, and, of course, one winner!”

Ryan Seacrest will no longer grace the American Idol stage, but will definitely remain a staple in the entertainment industry.

Are you as disappointed as Ryan Seacrest has to be that American Idol has been cancelled?

  • Selena Gomez Opens Up About Justin Bieber and Why ‘The Heart Wants What It Wants’

Selena Gomez opened up about her tumultuous relationship with Justin Bieber, just days after the release of the new single and emotionally raw video of The Heart Wants What it Wants has put her fans in a tailspin of worry over their darling girl.

The former Disney alum opened up about their relationship and the cryptic song during an On Air With Ryan Seacrest interview on Thursday.

“Everybody wants to form their own opinions anyway,” she told Seacrest. “I think the biggest problem I had this year — even with [Justin] and on his side — is identity.”

The couple seemed to be the darlings of the tabloids in 2011 until Bieber started to get into some trouble, and then the 20-year-old singer’s fans began to question whether she couldn’t do better for herself, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“I was trying to figure out what I’m doing, and that was the first time I was constantly being kicked down for doing that,” Gomez said.

“When I didn’t know, I just wanted to say, ‘This is what I want, this is where I am in my professional life, things changed in my personal life, things changed in my heart — everything.’

“And people just thought, ‘All right, this is what we think.’ And yeah, I made some decisions that weren’t great as well, and so did he, and that’s why we went through all that to only make us better.”

Gomez admitted that the emotional voiceover in the video’s opening — in which she cries over a relationship — was a real event that was recorded unbeknownst to her.

“They taped the mic underneath the table when I was shooting the video,” Gomez said while holding back tears. “And I had shot the video over a year ago. So, in that state — where I was in that place emotionally — I went in and I went into the room by myself, and I looked at the actual mirror in the music video, and I had a conversation [with] myself to every question I had in my mind in that moment: ‘Wow, this feeling changes everything and you can’t help it.’”

“[I learned] how to love myself first. And not just in a relationship, just my everyday life,” said Gomez. “I give myself so much, I let people pull at me in every direction, and I want everybody to be happy. Eventually I would be in my bathroom sobbing right before I go onstage.”

Gomez conceded that instead of taking the time to care for herself, she just kept pushing through the pain, confusion and heartbreak. She said that, today, she handles things very differently.

“I kept pushing myself, and I think the biggest thing I learned is, it’s OK. I’m going to stop when I need to stop, I’m going to feel when I need to feel, and I don’t care what comes with that or what people want to say. It’s normal.”

Gomez told Seacrest when Bieber heard the new track for the first time and saw the video, “He thought it was beautiful.”

“I think it was really hard. I think he was a little jealous of the video guy at first,” Gomez joked.

Unfortunately, Gomez wouldn’t put speculation to bed by disclosing whether the twosome were back together. Instead, she just explained what her heart wants.

“I support him. I think I always will. I’m upset when he’s upset, I’m happy when he’s happy. I don’t want anything bad ever to happen to him. It hurts me. That’s all,” she said.

  • Miley Cyrus Recovering After Hospitalization

Miley Cyrus is back on the road. Well, not exactly, but she is on the road to recovery.

Early in April, Cyrus had to be hospitalized after suffering from a severe allergic reaction to Penicillin. Miley had been battling a sinus infection when she was prescribed the drug Cephalexin. Cephalexin is in the same drug class as Penicillin, and caused the 21-year-old to have the reaction.

During a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Miley opened up about her scary hospital stay and having to postpone her Bangerz tour.

“They gave me this medicine and I was on this medicine for five days. It’s all good and then on the sixth day I just woke up and it was … so scary. I had basically been poisoning myself with something I didn’t know I was really scary allergic to,” Miley explained to Ryan. “I never thought I’d get stuck in there as long as I did. I basically thought I’d be stuck for a night, and I was actually there for five or six days.”

Miley revealed that the worst part of her hospital stay was not being out on the road. “Honestly just not being out on the road,” she said. “I would feel good … [and ask doctors] ‘Can I go? Can I get back on the stage?’ That was the hardest part. … I was just crying because I was so bored.”

Miley will kick off the European leg of her Bangerz tour on Friday. Her first stop will be in Amsterdam. “I should be all good, but what was the worst is that this reaction can happen from five to 27 days,” she explained. “But I’ve been really good, and now, I just have to be more careful.”

Miley also tweeted the rescheduled Bangerz dates for the US.

  • Ashley Tisdale Plans Her Intimate Wedding

During a recent interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Ashley Tisdale opened up about her engagement to Christopher French and the release of her new song You’re Always Here.

Tisdale and French started dating in December 2012 and instantly fell in love. Only eight short months later, in August, French popped the question, asking Tisdale to marry him. Although the relationship moved at whirlwind speed, Tisdale said yes, and says she knew it was right from the start.

“You know, I didn’t [think it’d happen that quickly],” she admitted. “I think I’ve obviously been in long relationships in the past, but I think because of knowing what I wanted, I wouldn’t have gone into a relationship, if it wasn’t what I wanted. And I think from the moment that him and I met, I just knew it.”

Tisdale continued gushing over her soon-to-be husband, saying “it doesn’t get any better.” “I was like, ‘OK, this is the guy.’ And he knew the same thing. It was just this feeling that it doesn’t get any better. I can’t explain it!” she said. “It’s just natural between us. With other relationships, you’re trying too much and trying to make it work and then there’s just a moment when you find somebody and you’re like, ‘Holy s–t! This is so natural.’” Tisdale is starting the wedding planning process, however she still has not set a date, and says that the ceremony will be as small and private as possible. “We want to make it as small and as private as we can get it,” she said.

Not only is Tisdale planning her upcoming wedding, she is also continuing her music career and recently released a new single titled, You’re Always Here. Tisdale wrote the song in memory of her grandfather who passed away three months ago, and has dedicated the very emotional song to him.

“With all the amazing stuff that’s happened this year, some moments haven’t been so amazing. I lost my grandfather exactly three months ago and it’s always hard to lose someone,” she said. ”I was inspired to start writing and it was helping me heal and I would go on walks and come home and have written stuff and Chris, who produces music, sat down and produced and we wrote this song together and that’s the song for my grandfather.”

  • Ashley Tisdale Releases Song in Honor of Grandfather

Ashley Tisdale has been busy this year professionally working on new material as well as personally with news of her August engagement to fiancé Christopher French. However, the talented singer and actress also experienced heartache. Tisdale’s new song, You’re Always Here was written in memory of the grandfather she lost earlier this year.

Tisdale explained during a recent interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, “With all the amazing stuff that’s happened this year, some moments haven’t been so amazing. I lost my grandfather exactly three months ago and it’s always hard to lose someone. I was inspired to start writing and it was helping me heal and I would go on walks and come home and have written stuff and Chris, who produces music, sat down and produced and we wrote this song together and that’s the song for my grandfather.”

A portion of the sales from the song will be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Tisdale says she knew from the first encounter that Christopher French was the guy for her. “You know, I didn’t [think it’d happen that quickly]. I think I’ve obviously been in long relationships in the past, but I think because of knowing what I wanted, I wouldn’t have gone into a relationship, if it wasn’t what I wanted. And I think from the moment that him and I met, I just knew it. “I was like, ‘OK, this is the guy.’ And he knew the same thing. It was just this feeling that it doesn’t get any better. I can’t explain it! It’s just natural between us. With other relationships, you’re trying too much and trying to make it work and then there’s just a moment when you find somebody and you’re like, ‘Holy s–t! This is so natural.’”
