Speaking of Laura Prepon (Alex) and her crazy love affair with Taylor, It was only a few days ago when Laura Prepon admitted that she likes kissing Taylor more than Topher Grace (Eric) from That 70’s Show.

When asked who was the better kisser, she said, “Oh, man! Topher would kill me, but I’m gonna say Taylor.”

  • Laura Prepon Dishes Up Some Bizarre Scientology in Interview

Laura Prepon is a Scientologist. You’ve probably heard a bit or two about Scientology. Maybe you saw that Tom Cruise video a few years back where he went on and on about Scientology “tech” and how only Scientologists can really help people.

When Laura Prepon spoke to Celebrity Magazine, which is an official Scientology publication, she went all out with the lingo. To an outsider, Scientology may sound pretty far-fetched. But some wonder if there may be something to it if celebrities like Prepon, Tom Cruise, Kirstie Alley, and a host of others credit it with their success.

“So when I first got into Scientology, I did Personal Values and Integrity and then Overcoming Ups and Downs in Life. These courses touched on the observations I was aware of when I was younger. It was right there in black and white. It was amazing, and I felt that finally something was speaking my language. It totally connected with me. Pretty soon after that I got onto the Purification Rundown, and I started moving up the Bridge.”

Laura Prepon says the Auditing process in Scientology has given her a perspective on her career that serves her.

” A big realization I had in my auditing is that there is a bigger picture,” Prepon said. “This is my career but it does not define me. I am so much bigger than this career and industry. It’s my job and it’s very important to me, but, when I have huge wins in session, and when you really cognate that you are a thetan and you have a mind and body, and that the MEST universe does not control you—it puts things into perspective. It takes the weight off you and things become very easy.”

Prepon says that the auditing process “has stripped away all of this charge, false ideas, decisions and mis-emotions that were affecting me. I can move so freely up and down the Tone Scale.”

Prepon worried that she might miss her emotions as an actress.

“I used to have this funny idea that the higher I went up the Bridge, I wouldn’t be as emotional about stuff. And I was worried because I’m an actress and as an artist, I need to tap into my emotions! What soon started happening was that the higher I went on the Bridge and the more auditing I had, I could move so much more freely on the Tone Scale. My emotions were so much more tangible and easy to access.”

  • Taryn Manning: ‘OITNB’ Star Sings In Support Of Women In Prison

Taryn Manning: ‘OITNB’ Star Sings In Support Of Women In Prison

The Orange Is The New Black star, Taryn Manning, attended the show’s third season screening. The screening was intended to raise funds for the Women’s Prison Association at the Ainsworth.

The screening benefitting WPA was held on June 12, 2015 in New York City.

The ladies in orange gave back to the WPA at the premiere party. The association helps women and their families adjust and thrive to life outside of prison.

Actress Jackie Cruz, who plays Flaca shared her sincere thoughts regarding the association.

“I am here to help people learn about the real-life versions of our characters and how hard it is for them to start over after doing time. The Women’s Prison Association is the type of organization that helps them live productive lives when they get out. It’s an honor to help support their important work,” said Cruz.

Manning, whi is the vocalist of Boomkat and co-owner of Born Unicorn performed her latest solo single “All The Way” for the attendees of the event. Apart from Manning, Jackie Cruz, another cast member to watch for this season of OINTB, also sang during the screening event.

OINTB actresses Ruby Rose and Alysia Reiner were also present during the event.

Manning’s role on the Netflix hit show was Pennsatucky. Pennsatucky was a former meth addict and a wannabe pro-life preacher who has mellowed out.

In an interview with Headline and Global News this month, Manning insisted that Pennsatucky is her definite opposite.

“She’s nothing like me,” the actress said. “It’s totally fun. I love playing unapologetic or non-humble characters. In real life, I’m really shy and pretty quiet, so that’s how I get to be a total a**hole.”

According to Taryn Manning, her role will become more likeable this season. She also added that people should keep an eye on the other side of the one-dimensional character of Pennsatucky.

  • Laura Prepon Gets Letter From Real ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Alex

Laura Prepon is famous for playing a woman in prison. But there is a real woman behind Prepon’s character on Orange Is the New Black. For the longest time, Prepon did not get to talk with her, but now she has. Prepon is thrilled that her inspiration is pleased with her work.

Laura Prepon’s character on OITNB is Alex Vause. She is paramour to the show’s central character, Piper Chapman. While Piper is based on real-life Piper Kernan, who write the book Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison, the character of Alex is based on Cleary Wolters.

Prepon did not get to meet Wolters when she took on the role, but she wanted to.

“When we first started the show I wanted to meet with her and pick her brain and talk to her, you know, and I wasn’t allowed to. She was kind of MIA,” Prepon explains.

While Orange Is the New Black is described as a “dramedy,” they do take liberties with how things really are in prison. Prepon was not sure how Wolters would feel about that.

But Wolters recently published a memoir of her own, capitalizing on the OITNB popularity. Her book is called Out of Orange: A Memoir, and she sets the record straight about a few things.

Wolters sent Laura Prepon a signed copy of her memoir, along with a letter.

“She basically was like, ‘Thank you so much for your portrayal,’” Laura Prepon says.

Wolters is grateful to Prepon, but she has spoken about some things in which the show varies from real life. For example, Wolters insists that she and Piper never had sex.

“We did not have sex in prison,” Wolters says, “Not even a little bit.”

“Praying is about the most intimate thing two people can do in some places, not sex,” Wolters says. “We made some mean dinners together, though, out of cans of cheese, corn chips, and chili, and Piper learned how to communicate effectively through a toilet.”

But Wolters understands the need to stretch the reality of life in prison a bit for a show, including some parts of Laura Prepon’s portrayal of her. She says the true story would be “so wretched and stinky, it would quite possibly result in a collapsed universe. So I guess it’s a good thing Piper and Jenji stick with the fun little tidbits.”

Wolters’ book, Out of Orange is described as “an intimate look at international drug crime—a seemingly glamorous lifestyle that dazzles unsuspecting young women and eventually leads them to the seedy world of prison.”

The scene Wolters paints is not quite the same as Laura Prepon and her fellow cast mates on OITNB put on screen.

“We were ghosts of the humans we had once been, milling about amongst hundreds of other human ghosts, shackled and chained, prodded through transport centers at gunpoint, moved through holding facilities,” says Wolters

  • Laura Prepon Dishes On Season 3 Of ‘Orange Is The New Black’

Laura Prepon Dishes On Season 3 Of ‘Orange Is The New Black’

Laura Prepon has been giving the scoop on what is ahead in the third season of the hit Netflix original series Orange is the New Black.

In the show, the actress plays Alex Vause. Vause is a federal inmate who was convicted on drug trafficking charges. Vause is also the complicated lesbian girlfriend of the protagonist, Piper Chapman.

The last season of OITNB, Prepon’s character got a plea deal for naming a drug lord in court which freed Vause from prison. However, her cooperation with the legal system wasn’t enough to take the vindictive kingpin down.

Just before the end of season 2, Chapman, which is played by Taylor Schilling, set Vause up for a parole violation that landed her back in prison for season 3.

Prepon’s character is not going to be the same confident, self-assured lady they got to know in season one. She’s wracked with self-doubt and as Prepon labeled it, “feels like a fool.”

“She doesn’t know how she got back in, she doesn’t know that Piper is the reason for it, and I think she just feels foolish and stupid,” said Prepon. “Now that she had that freedom and it was taken away again, I think she just has lost faith in herself, has lost faith in her and Piper and is kind of a little hopeless.”

OITNB is based on a true story created by Jenji Kohan.

Just recently, Prepon stated that Catherine Wolters reached out to her to applaud her portrayal of the role. Wolters is the woman behind the inspiration of Prepon’s character.

According to Prepon, Wolters sent her a copy of Out of Orange with “a very nice letter.”

Before Laura Prepon became popular as Vause in OITNB, she was first best known as Donna Pinciotti from That 70s Show.

  • Katie Holmes Originally Wanted For OITNB Lead

If you are a fan of Netflix’s original raunchy series Orange is the New Black, then it would probably be hard for you to picture anyone else playing the main characters.

However, Jenji Kohan, OITNB creator, recently revealed that she had a very different idea of who would play the bisexual, drug smuggling Piper.

Kohan exclusively revealed to E! News that she had originally wanted former Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes to play the part of Piper.

Kohan even admitted that she met with Holmes about the part. “I’m a big fan of hers,” Kohan said during the OITNB event at the DGA. “You know, I met with her.”

Holmes turned the part down, claiming she had too much other stuff to do, and didn’t really know what the show was going to be at the time. “She [Holmes] had other things to do,” Kohan explained. “And also in the beginning, no one knew what this was.” Unfortunately for Katie, OITNB has been a smashing success and was nominated for multiple Emmy’s. “I don’t know if it’s the subject, the characters, the way it’s consumed or a combination of all those factors, but people’s investment with these women is greater than anything I’ve seen before,” Kohan said.

We all know that the part ultimately went to the Emmy-nominated Taylor Schilling, who says she is a big fan of Holmes. “I’m a big fan of Katie Holmes,” Schilling said. “She could be friends with Lorna or like Lorna’s Boston sister.” Schilling continued, referring to the possibility of Holmes landing a guest role on the show.

Do you think Holmes regrets not taking the part? Could you imagine Holmes in Schillings role? Leave your comments below.

  • Mike Birbiglia Joins Season Three of Orange Is The New Black

Mike Birbiglia Joins Season Three of Orange Is The New Black

Here’s some more news from Litchfield.

The absolutely not canceled Netflix hit Orange Is The New Black has added comedian Mike Birbiglia to the cast.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Birbiglia will appear on the upcoming third season in a “recurring role” – but not much else is known about his participation. Birbiglia himself has confirmed the casting, retweeting THR’s scoop on Twitter.

Despite the viral legs of a stupid rumor last month that the show had been canceled due to a spat between creator Jenji Kohan and Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, season three shooting is already underway.

Birbiglia, a standup comedian, actor, and director, recently wrote,, directed, and starred in the well-received Sleepwalk with Me. If you want to familiarize yourself with his work before season three of OITNB, you can stream that on Netflix, along with his comedy special My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend.

  • Laura Prepon Buys White Dress, Denies Wedding Rumors

It’s a tale as old as virgin brides: if a woman in Hollywood is seen within a ten foot radius of a white garment, the people over at Page Six will scream WEDDING.

This lovely tradition in American gossip-rag culture was recently experienced by Orange Is The New Black star Laura Prepon when she was spotted at a run-of-the-mill custom couture dress fitting at Bergdorf Goodman, after which she was inundated with rumors of her impending nuptials.

Except that Prepon isn’t engaged. And it’s a ridiculous leap from “tries on white dress” to “is definitely getting married” that I would only expect from the lovely people who keep us informed about what OITNB cast members do on their day off. Which, according to Prepon, is try on clothes for fancy-shmancy parties that have dress codes on the invitation instead of a suggestion to BYOB.

Specifically, Prepon is prepping for Bella Magazine’s upcoming All-White Party in the Hamptons (this party DOES sound really white), which she is hosting.

And while Prepon is dutifully fulfilling Hollywood expectations to dress herself in ridiculously overpriced couture (the dress in question is an Isabelle Armstrong gown), don’t expect her to force her body to comply to their standards as well.

“All the women on the show are different shapes, sizes, colors and creed – everything! You really embrace who you are, your curves and everything,” said Prepon to Women’s Running magazine about her body image philosophy. “So if anything on this show, it’s the most comfortable I’ve ever been because all of us just really embrace who we are. It’s wonderful.”

It IS wonderful, Laura Prepon. And may I say I am incredibly glad your cool-ass self isn’t marrying Tom Cruise. Now THAT was a terrifying rumor.

  • ‘Orange is the New Black’ Season 2 Teaser

‘Orange is the New Black’ Season 2 Teaser

Orange is the New Black will be coming back into our lives soon.

Netflix announced that the highly entertaining jail drama will be returning June 6.

Danielle Brooks, who plays inmate Taystee said, “We’re having a blast! I mean, the writing was amazing before and it has gotten even better, I don’t know how they made it happen but it’s really good.”

“I think that people are going to be so excited about season two.”

And if that’s not enough to get you tickled pink-uhhh-I mean orange, check out this awesome teaser for season two.

“It feels like Orange Is the New Black is the start of a movement,” continued Brooks.

Brooks pointed out the great diversity within the characters on the screen and behind the camera.

“To be on a show with so many women and not just on the screen, but also the crew and the writers and the producers, the team mostly is women. When do you see a show with more than one person of color on it? You have six, seven women who are black and Hispanic who are leads. It’s so cool. And Laverne Cox—how amazing is she?”

When we last saw Taystee, she had been released from the prison, only to return after being arrested again.

“I’m going to tease you a little bit about Taystee [in] season two—you’ll get more of me!” Brooks said. “The only thing I can give you is that for me Taystee has shocked me for season two so I think people will be excited to see what she does.”

OITNB’s 13-episode second season will be available to Netflix subscribers on Friday, June 6.
