  • O.J. Simpson Not Pleased With FX Series, So Says Former Guard

O.J. Simpson is none too pleased with FX’s take on the “trial of the (last) century.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Simpson, who was exonerated of the 1994 double murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman, has not seen a single episode of FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, but he still has an opinion on the show.

Needless to say, O.J. is filled in about the show from everyone in his prison-world and reportedly believes the producers make him seem guilty of the brutal stabbing.

According to Jeffrey Felix, a now-retired guard who worked 20 years at the Lovelock Correctional Center where Simpson has been housed since his 2008 armed robbery conviction, Simpson’s first issue is the casting of Cuba Gooding, Jr.

“[O.J.] knows he is taller. He knows he is better looking. He has a bigger head. He is more muscular,” said Felix, who retired last September.

While the former guard has no contact with O.J. Simpson, his buddies at the prison fill him in.

“He is unhappy with the show because it is kind of making it seem like he is totally guilty,” Felix says. Some of the guards have begun to make fun of Simpson because of the series, he adds.

Felix said “the Juice” is also angry over the series’ depiction that Simpson failed a lie detector test.

“He told me he passed that [test] years ago,” says Felix.

Felix said Simpson will not likely see the series until possibly next year when he is up for parole, and add that he believes the former Heismann Trophy winner has a very good shot at getting parole because he is a “model inmate.”

“He is trying to lay low in there,” Felix says. “He is doing a great job.”

  • Nicole Brown Simpson As Remembered By Her Friend Kris Jenner

Nicole Simpson Brown continues to haunt the thoughts of her friend Kris Jenner more than 20 years after her brutal murder.

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on Monday, Kris Jenner said she’ll “always feel horrible that I didn’t pay enough attention” before Nicole met her untimely death.

Jenner, who was close friends with both Nicole and O.J. Simpson, revealed new details about what happened in her world after Brown’s death.

Jenner was famously married to Robert Kardashian Sr. who was one of O.J.’s closest friends and became one of the accused killer’s legal dream team.

The relationship between the four friends is chronicled in the FX miniseries American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, which tells the story surrounding the “trial of the century” from the lawyers point of view.

Jenner, 60, told DeGeneres that the portrayal of tension between Kris and Robert over his commitment to defend O.J. on the series is accurate.

“It was very difficult because my ex-husband was on one side and I was kind of on the other, and the kids were in the middle,” said Jenner.

Kris said she’d actually made plans with Brown to go on a lunch date the day after her death and believes that Nicole Brown had plans to reveal to her that Simpson was abusing her.

“I didn’t know that there was abuse until we heard and saw the whole thing unfold like everyone else, and then heard the 911 tapes…which were going to be used as evidence during the trial,” Jenner said. “Me and some of her other close friends all were really surprised and shocked by that, because we felt like we really failed her as a friend.

“She and I were supposed to have lunch the next day-the day after she was murdered-and she said she wanted to show me some things and talk about what was in her safe,” Jenner continued.

“Now, unfortunately, it all makes sense that that’s probably what she wanted to reveal to me that next day, which broke my heart because I’ll always feel horrible that I didn’t pay enough attention.”

Kris Jenner, 60, said she had known Simpson since she was 17 and considered him to be “like a big brother” to her.

According to Kris, Simpson attempted to contact her after Brown’s death but the reality star did not give specifics on any conversation they may have had.

“[He called me] right after, yeah,” Jenner said. “He called me a few times, and you know, wanted to talk and explain how he felt.”

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson airs 10 p.m. EST Tuesdays on FX.

  • Marcia Clark Discusses The Race Factor In The O.J. Simpson Trial

All eyes have been on Marcia Clark ever since FX premiered its highly-anticipated mini-series, American Horror Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. The 62-year-old former lead prosecutor in the controversial 1995 murder case has appeared on several TV shows and shared her thoughts on the hit show that relived a lot of painful memories for her.

Marcia Clark Was Not Too Keen About the O.J. Trial Mini-Series

In a previous interview with Vogue, just a week before the series premiered, Clark expressed her apprehensions about the show. Remembering the excruciating moments during the course of her trial was not something she looked forward to, and she revealed wishing that the show would eventually fall through.

“When I first heard they were going to do this, I kept praying that somehow, something would go wrong,” said Marcia Clark. “It’s not entertainment for me. It’s a tragedy.”

The O.J. Simpson trial, which lasted almost a year, took place during a time when racial tension was at an all-time high. A year before the trial began, Los Angeles police officers accused of savagely beating African-American motorist Rodney King was acquitted, and many Americans were outraged.

In another interview with Slate, Marcia Clark confirmed that race and gender issues made it virtually impossible for prosecution to convict O.J. Simpson for the murders of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

“The racial divide was absolutely crystal clear, and African-American women in particular [were] no fans of mine,” revealed Clark. “The question was what do I do? How do I reach them? And no one had an answer for that…The trial was so out of control, and became so awash in racial epithets and racial slurs, that I think it became impossible to believe anything beyond a reasonable doubt…”

Aside from race issues, Marcia Clark also had to contend with gender-oriented criticism, mostly centered on her looks, the way she dressed, as well as her domestic affairs.

Nevertheless, the lawyer-turned-novelist praised the show, especially the layered portrayal of her by actress Sarah Paulson.

  • Nicole Brown Simpson: Sister Upset With David Schwimmer for Not Contacting Family Prior to FX Miniseries

Nicole Brown Simpson is front and center in the media even though her tragic murder took place more than 20 years ago. With the airing of FX’s new miniseries, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, her murder and the trial that followed have been thrust back into the limelight.

Tanya Brown is the youngest of Nicole Brown Simpson’s sisters, and she is upset with actor David Schwimmer, who plays Robert Kardashian in the miniseries. Her complaint is that Schwimmer met with Robert Kardashian’s ex-wife Kris Jenner in preparation for his role, but never met with the family of Nicole Brown Simpson.

“Well, don’t you think David Schwimmer could have taken an opportunity to meet with the families of the victims if he went out of his way to meet with her?” Tanya Brown said in a recent interview with the Daily Mail, adding that no one from the entire series ever reached out to her family.

“If anything, they should have at least contacted my mom,” she added. “If they wanted an accurate account they should have contacted the family. Period.”

Brown is also upset that the series began on February 2–the anniversary of Nicole Brown Simpson’s wedding to O.J. Simpson.

“It’s all beautifully orchestrated. Nothing happened by coincidence–they thought it all through,” she said. “They just wanted the drama and publicity, but it was completely insensitive to the Nicole’s memory.”

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story is based on a book by Jeffrey Toobin called The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson. Tanya Brown was very vocal about Ryan Murphy’s small screen adaptation of the book from day one.

“People forget that two people got brutally murdered–chopped to pieces–and this is not entertainment,” she said in January during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “This is not Hollywood.”

In addition to Nicole Brown Simpson, her friend Ron Goldman died during the same murder.

Do you understand Tanya Brown’s upset over the way this FX miniseries was brought to fruition? Do you agree that Hollywood often puts its needs way ahead of those upon whom some of their stories are based?

Have you been following The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story? What’s your take on the recreation of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, as well as O.J. Simpson’s trial?

  • Faye Resnick Called Out in “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Episode

Faye Resnick was called out by Kathryn Edwards on Tuesday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for cashing in on the death of Nicole Brown Simpson over 20 years ago.

Known best for her book about Nicole Brown Simpson, Faye Resnick highlighted an alleged affair Kathryn Edwards’ then-husband Marcus Allen had with Nicole in Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted.

“Faye alleged that my ex-husband, Marcus Allen, had an affair with Nicole Simpson,” Kathryn Edwards said. “It was nobody’s f–king business.”

“Faye put herself in the situation right after Nicole was murdered,” Edwards added on RHOBH. “And she wrote a book about it, she posed for Playboy–I’m sure she loved the limelight.”

In her book, Faye Resnick claimed Marcus Allen expressed interest in her before pursuing his alleged affair with Nicole Brown Simpson. At the time, Resnick supposedly dialed her good friend Kris Jenner–whose ex-husband Robert Kardashian would eventually represent O.J. Simpson during the murder case–asking for her advice.

“Kris said, ‘Whatever you do, don’t go out with Marcus Allen,’” Faye Resnick recalled of their alleged conversation. “‘He’s the biggest womanizer in the world, and don’t forget he’s engaged to Kathryn. She turns a blind eye to his fooling around, but it hurts her when he does it publicly.’”

During Tuesday night’s episode, Kathryn Edwards finally had the opportunity to blow up at Faye Resnick, but didn’t.

“I’ve never met you before, and I feel like I’m being phony if I just sit here,” Edwards told Resnick, who reportedly stared at her from across the table with a blank expression on her face.

“You never met me, you didn’t know me. I’m so not that [person in your book],” Edwards continued. “I’m in-your-face confrontational.”

Faye Resnick remained stoic, and finally replied.

“I have nothing to say to anyone about what happened twentysomething years ago. There’s not really much to discuss, is there?” she asked.

Did you see Tuesday’s episode of RHOBH when Faye Resnick and Kathryn Edwards finally came face to face? Did Resnick hear Edwards’ message loudly and clearly?

  • Kris Jenner On Death of Nicole Brown Simpson: Still Feels Guilty

Kris Jenner says she still feels guilty, even 20 years after the death of her good friend Nicole Brown Simpson.

In a new documentary called The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case: The Untold Story, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians matriarch says her guilt stems from seeing overt signs of domestic abuse, and about not being able to save Nicole from it.

“I will always feel guilty that I didn’t pay more attention and didn’t speak up when I thought anything was wrong or asked her more, ‘Do you want to talk about it?’” Kris Jenner says in the documentary.

It was back in June of 1994 when Nicole Brown Simpson was stabbed to death. Kris Jenner’s late husband Robert Kardashian represented O.J. Simpson a year later in the what many called the trial of the century.

“At the end of Nicole’s life, I think she finally was at a place where she knew she had to be more vocal with what was going on and she was in trouble,” Kris Jenner says. “The one thing she would tell all of us by the time, you know, it got to that level was, ‘He’s going to kill me and he’s going to get away with it.’”

These days Kris Jenner is coping with her ex-husband Bruce Jenner-turned Caitlyn Jenner–and despite the media claims that she is unsupportive toward Caitlyn, she is likely suffering, too.

Fans can check out Kris Jenner in the upcoming documentary about the O.J. Simpson case, The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case: The Untold Story, on September 30 at 8 p.m. on LMN.

  • Connie Britton To Play Faye Resnick In O.J. Simpson Miniseries

Connie Britton landed a role in FX’s upcoming miniseries which chronicles the controversial trial of former football star O.J. Simpson.

The Nashville star will play as socialite Faye Resnick, the best friend of Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson. She has been cast in FX’s most anticipated miniseries American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. The miniseries is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book, The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

On March 24, “People” executive producer Ryan Murphy, announced on Twitter that Britton will again work with him for another FX production, following their collaboration in FX’s “American Horror Story”. Murphy’s tweet stated, “Excited to announce my friend Connie Britton will play Faye Resnick in the upcoming FX miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson”.

Murphy thought Britton would be perfect to play Resnick, the woman who wrote a controversial memoir about her friendship with Simpson’s wife in 1994. During Simpson’s trial, his defense team claimed that Nicole and alleged lover Ronald Goldman were murdered by drug dealers from whom Resnick owed money.

Britton will star alongside a remarkable cast including John Travolta and Courtney B. Vance as defense attorneys Robert Shapiro and Johnnie Cochran. Sarah Paulson will play the strict prosecutor Marcia Clark, David Schwimmer takes the screen as confidant Robert Kardashian, and Cuba Gooding Jr. will play the accused murderer Simpson.

The miniseries will run for 10 episodes. It will feature Simpson’s trial from the lawyers’ perspective.

Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, the genius behind The People v. Larry Flynt, will again collaborate in writing and directing the first episode of American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. Alexander, Karaszewski and Murphy will executive-produce the miniseries alongside American Horror Story co-creator Brad Falchuk, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson and Dante Di Loreto.

  • Connie Britton to Play Faye Resnick in O.J. Simpson ‘American Crime Story’ Miniseries

Connie Britton is the latest star to join the cast of American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

Ryan Murphy, creator of the series, announced the news Monday on Twitter that Connie Britton will play Faye Resnick in the 10-part miniseries, which is based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin.

“Excited to announce my friend Connie Britton will play Faye Resnick in the upcoming FX miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson,” Ryan Murphy tweeted.

This is not the first time Connie Britton and Murphy have worked together. She teamed up with Murphy for American Horror Story in 2011.

Faye Resnick was a high-profile friend to the late Nicole Brown Simpson, who was brutally murdered — many still believe at the hands of her former husband, O.J. Simpson even though he was acquitted of the crime.

Following the trial that was watched by millions on television, the interior designer and Playboy model co-penned two books about the murder, Shattered: In the Eye of the Storm and Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted.

Resnick was also featured on this season’s premiere of the reality series, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She and Kris Jenner have been long-time friends. Jenner was the wife of O.J. Simpson defense lawyer, Robert Kardashian.

Other cast members include Cuba Gooding Jr. (O.J. Simpson), Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark), David Schwimmer (Robert Kardashian), John Travolta (Robert Shapiro) and Courtney B. Vance (Johnnie Cochran).

  • Christopher Darden, O.J. Simpson Prosecutor, Says He Is Now ‘Pissed Off’ Over the Outcome of the Trial

Christopher Darden, the prosecutor in the 1995 historic O.J. Simpson trial that has been dubbed the “trial of the century,” says he is “pissed off” at the outcome of the proceedings that set the football player accused of killing ex-wife Nicole Simpson-Brown free.

The trial was watched around the world and became the first completely televised court proceeding. At the center of the media circus was Darden and lead prosecutor Marcia Clark. The two of them, as well as some key witnesses for the state, faced incredible scrutiny, criticism and outright ridicule for the handling of the trial.

Twenty years later, Darden leads a life away from the blaring lights and criticism.

“Sometimes I get recognized as the O.J. Simpson prosecutor,” he told Oprah: Where Are They Now? “People say, ‘Oh, that’s Darden. Oh, he’s put on weight in 20 years!’”

Darden, 58, said the backlash was, at times, more than he could take.

“I was devastated and decimated by the trial,” he said.

Darden said as the years wore on, depression has been replaced with anger.

“I don’t think I’m so much as bitter. Now, I think I’m angry,” he says. “I mean, I couldn’t be angry back then. I couldn’t be pissed off, because I’m a prosecutor. But now, I’m just Chris Darden. Now I can just be pissed off.”

While Darden still practices law, he has switched sides in criminal court proceedings.

“I’m a criminal law defense attorney,” he says. “And I write a little bit here and there.”

A father of three with his wife of 17 years, Marcia, Darden said he wouldn’t encourage his kids to pursue law, but wouldn’t be surprised if they did.

“I have the smartest family anyone could have,” he says proudly. “My children are brilliant children. I don’t think that any of them should pursue criminal law,” Darden says. “But I could certainly see them becoming lawyers.”

  • David Schwimmer to Play O.J. Simpson’s Attorney Robert Kardashian Sr. Alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. in Miniseries

David Schwimmer is set to play Kris Jenner’s late ex-husband and O.J. Simpson’s attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson, in the upcoming miniseries American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

The 10-episode series, directed by Ryan Murphy and starring American Horror Story‘s Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, will document Simpson’s 1995 murder trial in the death of his wife Nicole Simpson Brown.

According to an FX press release, “the miniseries takes a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers that explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court.” In addition, it will examine how “a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.”

Written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, the miniseries is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book, The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson is the first in a new anthology miniseries focusing on famous crime cases.

Simpson is currently serving nine to 33 years in prison after he was convicted on multiple felony charges, including armed robbery and kidnapping, for leading a group of men in an armed confrontation with two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel in 2007.

Kardashian Sr., father of Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and son Rob Kardashian, died at the age of 59 in September 2003 from esophageal cancer. He and Jenner divorced in 1991 after 13 years of marriage.

  • Kris Jenner Finally Files for Divorce from Bruce Jenner

Kris Jenner is finally making it official. She has filed for divorce from Bruce Jenner–her husband of twenty-three years. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians ‘momager’ filed papers on Monday in L.A. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

While no one should be all too surprised to learn of Kris Jenner’s filing, it likely makes fans wonder what catalyst finally drove her to set the divorce ball into motion. The troubles between the two have been no secret, and sadly have even played out in front of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians cameras for all the world to see.

Kris Jenner was previously married to attorney Robert Kardashian–whose claim to fame was the infamous O.J. Simpson trial. She and Kardashian divorced back in 1991. They shared four daughters–Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, and Khloe Kardashian–and one son, Rob Kardashian. Kris and Bruce Jenner added two daughters to the mix–Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

CBS reports that court papers state Bruce and Kris Jenner officially separated on June 1st. According to celebrity news sites and even the family’s reality show, they have been living apart for much longer than that.

CNN says the couple publicly recognized their separation last year.

“We will always have much love and respect for each other,” Bruce and Kris Jenner said in a joint statement. “Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our No. 1 priority.”

Bruce Jenner is living in the couple’s Malibu home, while Kris Jenner resides with Kendall and Kylie Jenner in their Calabasas abode. It will definitely be interesting to see what–if any–changes ensue in the coming days and weeks–following the announcement that Kris has filed for divorce.

Are you surprised to learn that Kris Jenner has filed for divorce from Bruce Jenner? Or did you think the couple would string things along for a bit longer?

  • Nicole Brown Simpson: Father Dies at 90

Nicole Brown Simpson was brutally murdered twenty years ago–most people believe by her ex-husband O.J. Simpson–although the football player and actor was acquitted of the crime. Her father, who lived through the horror of losing a child in such a sudden, brutal manner, died on Thursday at the age of 90. A civil jury later found O.J. Simpson liable for the deaths of both Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.

Louis Brown, Jr. took some comfort when the verdict of that civil suit was read.

“I want to get outside and scream,” he said to the Associated Press at the time.

The jury awarded $33.5 million in damages.

Louis Brown, Jr. and his daughter Denise founded a charitable organization in memory of Nicole Brown Simpson. Its purpose is to raise awareness of domestic violence and to provide funds for those requiring assistance.

None of this, however–the verdict or the starting of this foundation–could bring back Nicole Brown Simpson, and Louis Brown, Jr. and his wife no doubt thought of her and her brutal murder every day of their lives. Her father likely took a feeling of betrayal on the part of O.J. Simpson to his grave.

Louis Brown, Jr. died in the seaside community of Dana Point, California, according to an email sent on behalf of the family by attorney Natasha Roit. She added that his wife–Nicole Brown Simpson’s mother Judi–and children were with him at the time of his passing.

“It was his wish to remain in his home with those he loved,” Roit added in the email.

Nicole Brown Simpson will never be forgotten. Can you remember where you were on the infamous day the nation watched O.J. Simpson take that senseless ride in his white Bronco? At least father and daughter are together once again. May they both rest in peace.

  • Nicole Brown Simpson’s Father, Louis Brown Jr., Dead at the Age of 90

Louis Brown Jr., the father of Nicole Brown Simpson, has died at his Southern California home, a family attorney said Saturday. He was 90.

Attorney Natasha Roit, in an email, said Brown died Thursday in the seaside community of Dana Point with his wife, Judi, and his children by his side. A statement issued on behalf of the family did not include a cause of death, although he had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

“It was his wish to remain in his home with those he loved,” Roit said.

Brown served as a pilot in World War II and married his wife in Switzerland after the war.

Brown and his daughter, Denise, founded the Nicole Brown Charitable Foundation. Through the foundation, Brown worked to raise awareness of domestic violence and increase funding for assistance to victims.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of his daughter’s death. In a trial that captivated the world and changed the way courtroom drama is portrayed by the media, O.J. Simpson was acquitted of the murder of his wife and her friend, Ronald Goldman, who were brutally murdered in front of her Brentwood condo.

A civil jury found O.J. Simpson liable in 1997 for the deaths, providing a small victory for grieving relatives who felt the football great got away with murder. The jury awarded the families $33.5 million in damages.

Louis Brown, who never flinched when the civil trial verdict was read, stood and smiled afterward. “I want to get outside and scream,” he told the AP at the time.

Earlier this year, O.J. Simpson, who is currently serving a 33-year sentence in a Nevada prison for assault, robbery, and kidnapping, sought clemency from President Obama, saying he has terminal brain cancer.

  • PETA Wanted Jeffrey Dahmer’s Home To Become A Diner

(Warning: the following describes a man whose crimes were against humanity.)

If you’re unfamiliar with Jeffrey Dahmer, then all you need to know is that he was a serial killer and sex offender who:

    • Killed, raped, and dismembered 17 men and boys from 1978 to 1991.
    • The murders involved necrophilia, cannibalism, and preservation of body parts (in his fridge.)
    • Suffered from borderline personality disorder and was found legally sane on trial.
    • Was bludgeoned to death by fellow inmates in 1994.

So what did everyone’s favorite animal-rights organization suggest Dahmer’s former childhood home turn into?  A vegan restaurant called “Eat For Life – Home Cooking” – to think how edgy and niche it would be to munch on your vegetables in a place where a man killed and dismembered 19-year old hitchhiker Steven Hicks and scattered his remains on the 1.5 acre property.

    Classy.

“We’re always looking for ways to turn cruelty on its ugly head, so when we heard that serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer‘s childhood home had been put up for sale, we saw an opportunity to create good out of evil,” People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals posted on its website.

“Rather than remaining as a stark reminder of its dark past, the building can instead become the site of a celebration of culinary compassion.”

However, last Tuesday, PETA changed their minds and abandoned their idea for the killer home restaurant makeover:

“We regret that we won’t be able to move forward with this project, even though it was met with some enthusiasm as well as some derisive comments,” said Moira Colley, media officer with PETA, in an email sent to media outlets on Tuesday.

The real estate agent, Richard Lubinski of Stouffer Realty, said he was not surprised that PETA dropped the proposal.

“I had to take it seriously,” he said, out of “fiduciary duty to my client”. Lubinski said. “With PETA’s history of these stunts … it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to put two-and-two together” to determine the suggestion was a publicity stunt.

On Friday, Bill Funk, the town’s zoning inspector and administrator, told the Akron Beacon Journal that it’s unlikely Bath Township would make an exception to allow a restaurant business to run in a residential neighborhood.

Ingrid E. Newkirk, PETA’s president, once said in a 1991 USA Today article about PETA’s shock-value methods: “Probably everything we do is a publicity stunt … We’re not here to shock and horrify, but sometimes you have to grab people’s attention.”

In 2012, PETA wanted to transform the foreclosing Florida home of O.J. Simpson into a “Meat is Murder” museum.

    Go vegan.

  • Does O.J. Simpson Really Have Brain Cancer?

Former NFL football player OJ Simpson has the media swarming! The headlines are endless, but now he’s pushed things to an uncharted level. With his alleged confession to murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown-Simpson, and his claims against reality TV star Kris Jenner, Simpson will stop at nothing to garner attention.

Now, he claims to have brain cancer. So, he’s seeking clemency, and begging President Obama to pardon him due to the terminal illness. Since Simpson has become widely known for publicity stunts, the burning question most are asking is whether he really has cancer or not. Well, the National Inquirer claims he actually does.

The publication reports that Simpson, who is currently serving a 33-year prison sentence at the Lovelock Correctional Centre in Nevada, does have substantial medical reports that have traced a cancerous tumor on his brain. It has also been reported that Simpson suffers from an ‘extreme case of diabetes’. However, he is still undergoing extensive test to confirm whether or not he has terminal brain cancer, reports the Daily Mail.

A source close to ‘The Juice’ even weighed in on Simpson’s condition with the Inquirer. “O.J. says his memory is slipping and he gets painful headaches and other symptoms,” the source stated. “He began suffering dizzy spells; nausea, lapses in memory – and the frightening symptoms continue to get worse,” the source explained. “He put off the doctors for weeks after he first started experiencing the symptoms because he was afraid of what they would find. Now the prison docs are telling him they believe he has a brain tumor. They plan to run a series of tests on him, MRIs and CT scans.”

The only way Simpson could get out of prison at this point is by clemency, since he won’t be eligible for parole for another four years.

The publication also reports that the 1968 Heisman trophy winner has even taken the initiative to personally write to the president about his confinement. He reportedly wrote, “Mr President, I know my life is coming to an end. Please, don’t let me die in prison. I feel the end coming. But I don’t want to die in prison like common jailhouse scum.”

It has been cited that Simpson has been highly inactive throughout the course of his current sentence, only impelling to consume unhealthy foods filled with sugar. “OJ’s doctors have told him he could be dead in as little as three months because of his out-of-control blood sugar and blood pressure,” another source said.

“But OJ doesn’t care. He knows he’s never going to get out of prison, so he refuses to take care of himself.” If the source’s perception is accurate, that would definitely justify Simpson’s weight gain since his imprisonment.

However, the question still looms. Does O.J. Simpson have terminal brain cancer or not?

  • O.J. Simpson Says Cancer Terminal, Seeks Clemency

“Mr. President, I know my life is coming to an end. Please, don’t let me die in prison.”

O.J. Simpson, the imprisoned 66-year old former American football player, is seeking clemency with President Obama because he says he has terminal brain cancer.

Simpson is currently serving a 33-year sentence in a Nevada prison for assault, robbery, and kidnapping.

Simpson has had many legal troubles over the years including millions of dollars in past due taxes and various arrests. However, most remember him from the 90’s when he was found not guilty of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her boyfriend Ronald Goldman.

Now Simpson is pleading to be set free so he can go home and die peacefully.

According to the Washington Times, Simpson’s health has been deteriorating for years. It is reported that “he’s gained weight since his imprisonment, and also suffers from blurred vision, stuttering and failing hearing.” Doctors have also warned to him to cut back on sweets as not to further affect his extreme case of diabetes.

A source told The Enquirer, “O.J. says his memory is slipping and he gets painful headaches and other symptoms. He has blurry vision, stutters sometimes and has trouble hearing what people are saying to him. At times, he feels confused and has unusual bursts of anger and fits of depression. He put off the doctors for weeks after he first started experiencing the symptoms because he was afraid of what they would find.”

The source added, “Now the prison docs are telling him they believe he has a brain tumor. They plan to run a series of tests on him, MRIs, and CT scans.”

The Enquirer also reported that Simpson has finally agreed to the tests he has put off for fear of what they might find. He reportedly told a friend, ‘I feel the end coming. But I don’t want to die in prison like common jailhouse scum.”

The source said that O.J. is clinging to the hope of being set free, saying, “I’ve been a supporter of Barack Obama since the beginning. He needs to give me a pardon!”

Prison officials have Simpson on suicide watch. Further tests will determine whether his death is as imminent as Simpson thinks it is.

  • O.J. Simpson Seeks Early Release To Treat Cancer

O.J. Simpson, who was recently denied his request for a new trial in November, is now asking President Obama to pardon him and grant him an early release, after discovering that he has brain cancer.

“O.J. says his memory is slipping and he gets painful headaches and other symptoms,” a source told The Enquirer. “He began suffering dizzy spells; nausea, lapses in memory – and the frightening symptoms continue to get worse.” Medical examinations have proved that Simpson does, in fact, have a cancerous tumor in his brain. Along with the cancer, Simpson is also suffering from a severe case of diabetes.

“He put off the doctors for weeks after he first started experiencing the symptoms because he was afraid of what they would find,” the source continued. “Now the prison docs are telling him they believe he has a brain tumor. They plan to run a series of tests on him, MRIs and CT scans.”

Simpson reportedly wrote a letter to the president saying: “Mr President, I know my life is coming to an end. Please, don’t let me die in prison. I feel the end coming. But I don’t want to die in prison like common jailhouse scum.”

“OJ’s doctors have told him he could be dead in as little as three months because of his out-of-control blood sugar and blood pressure,” said an anonymous source. “But OJ doesn’t care. He knows he’s never going to get out of prison, so he refuses to take care of himself.”

Simpson was convicted in 2007 of armed robbery and kidnapping, and is currently serving a 33-year sentence. He still has four years remaining before he is eligible for parole.

O.J. Simpson Loses Bid for New Trial

O.J. Simpson was denied a new trial by a judge in Nevada. His conviction for kidnapping, armed robbery and related charges was upheld. Simpson requested a new trial on grounds that his lawyer didn’t provide him with sufficient counsel.

    J. Kelly Strader is a law professor at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. In an email to the Christian Science Monitor, he explained exactly how dubious Simpson’s request for an appeal was.

“It is always an uphill battle to obtain a reversal of a conviction based upon ineffective assistance of counsel,” he says. “Not only do you have to show that the counsel was incompetent, but you also have to show that this likely affected the outcome at trial. Whereas here, there seems to be substantial evidence of guilt.”

Judge Linda Marie Bell determined that nothing about the case was erroneous enough to cause the court to even question the validity of O.J. Simpson’s conviction. This must come as a slight bit of relief to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman–O.J.’s ex-wife and her friend. Most people believe he was responsible for their deaths even though he was acquitted of any wrongdoing during his murder trial. At least they can perhaps find some peace knowing Simpson is serving time in prison–even though it’s for another crime.

O.J. Simpson’s conviction for the crimes he now finds himself imprisoned for came 13 years to the day after his acquittal in the deaths of both Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. He was sentenced to between 9 and 33 years. He was, however, granted parole on some of those convictions this past July. This means he could be a free man in four more years.

Simpson can continue to request a new trial, but it isn’t very likely to be approved. In fact, most people believe he’s hit the end of the road where this case is concerned.

“Realistically, this looks like the end of the road for OJ,” Loyola Law School Professor Laurie Levenson said via email. “I read the entire opinion: The judge set forth why she believed he was guilty and that he definitely knew guns would be involved. After that, any errors that were raised were seen as not prejudicial. I guess this is how the OJ saga ends.”

  • Khloe Kardashian: Lamar Wants Millions For Divorce

Khloe Kardashian and husband Lamar Odom have been battling rumors for months now that they are headed for divorce, and now there are reports that Odom wants $10 million and the return of the $875,000 engagement ring he gave his wife in exchange for a divorce.

According to the Daily Mail, Odom wants the money to keep quiet about a sex tape he and Kardashian made, and to keep mum about the inner workings of the Kardashian family.

“Kris and Khloe are very worried about Lamar… He knows all about their extreme surgery procedures – when, how often and how much – and the pressure put on the younger girls to follow suit,” a source said.

The news comes after Khloe and her mom Kris allegedly went to a lawyer to talk about divorce preparations. Earlier this year, Odom went missing for a few days and was rumored to have been having difficulties with drug abuse, though the Kardashian family later denied that was true. In August, a woman claiming she was Odom’s mistress came forward with her story, saying Odom led her to believe he was a single man and that Khloe busted them in a hotel room.

“I told her to leave, but she refused. I called the front desk and asked them to call the police because I was so scared, but no one ever came,” Polina Polonsky said. “While Khloe was screaming outside the door, Lamar was calling people to come and get her. She was out of control. The whole scene was so frightening — and I couldn’t understand why we were hiding, because he made it clear that he didn’t want to be with her!”

The latest drama comes at the same time as renewed allegations from O.J. Simpson’s manager that the former football star is Khloe’s biological father, not Robert Kardashian, who was Simpson’s lawyer during his infamous trial.

“It’s all going to come out sooner or later,” Norman Pardo told In Touch Magazine. “Khloe could be O.J.’s kid.”

  • Khloe Kardashian Paternity Scandal Stirs Yet Again

While the allegation isn’t anything new, the question of who fathered Khloe Kardashian has come up yet again. Time after time, the media has questioned if the reality TV starlet really belongs to Robert Kardashian. This time, the media has shifted its speculation back to where the rumor initially started – former NFL star, O.J. Simpson.

However, this time around, Simpson’s manager, Norman Pardo, has added fuel to the fire. Pardo recently spoke with In Touch Weekly in reference to the infamous rumor, and what he had to saw sent the media into an immediate frenzy.

“The truth is going to come out sooner or later,” Pardo said. He also stated that he believes the 29-year-old was conceived during a ‘drunken hookup’ her mother, Kris Jenner, may have engaged in with Simpson. Pardo goes on to recall the camaraderie between Jenner, her ex-husband Robert Kardashian, Simpson, and his deceased wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. He elaborated on how they all took vacations together, and went on to explain some of Jenner’s alleged ‘excursions’ during that time. “There was a lot of partying going on back then. Kris cheated on Robert. She was known for having a good time.”

While these allegations are pretty rough, Pardo’s claims only get worse. He also stated that whenever the name, Kris Jenner, comes up, the incarcerated ex-football player ‘giggles.’ That’s definitely not a good sign. He also hinted that Simpson could be preparing to ‘tell all’ whether Jenner consents to it or not. If Simpson’s request is granted in December, and he is released pending a new trial, he may offer more details on the situation.

With Kris Jenner’s high level of disdain for slander and deformation of character, let’s just hope Pardo isn’t just speaking ill of the reality TV family. Its definitely no secret that they don’t take likely to such actions, as they have a history of suing those who kick up dust. However, one thing he said does ring true: “The truth is going to come out sooner or later.” Either she’s rightfully a child of Robert Kardashian’s child, or she belongs to someone else. Only time will tell.

  • O.J. Simpson: Bid For New Trial Rejected By Judge

Looks like O.J. Simpson will continue to spend time in jail.

In Las Vegas on Tuesday, Simpson’s bid for a new trial was rejected by Clark County District Judge Linda Marie Bell. Simpson has been serving a jail sentence in Las Vegas after he was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping more than five years ago.

Simpson made the bid for a new trial because he said his original lawyer, Yale Galanter, messed up his trial.

Judge Bell said, “All grounds in the petition lack merit and, consequently, are denied.” She added that six co-conspirators were involved in the crimes and that Simpson asked two of those co-conspirators to bring weapons to the hotel room where the kidnapping and robbery occurred.

Patricia Palm, Simpson’s new lawyer said she wouldn’t speak until she had spoken to “The Juice,” but her co-counsel, Ozzie Fumo said they would more than likely be appealing to the Nevada Supreme Court.

Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson said, “I believe Mr. Simpson received a fair trial and had more than competent counsel.” Wolfson’s wife was the judge who presided over the 2008 trial where Simpson was convicted.

Simpson maintains that he was just trying to get back memorabilia and personal items from two dealers who sell sports collectibles. Simpson said, “It was my stuff. I followed what I thought was the law. My lawyer told me I couldn’t break into a guy’s room. I didn’t break into anybody’s room. I didn’t try to muscle the guys. The guys had my stuff, even though they claimed they didn’t steal it.” He added, “I just wish I never went to that room.”

Palm, Fumo, and Tom Pitaro believed they presented evidence that Galanter knew about Simpson’s plans to get his memorabilia back, and even told Simpson it was okay to get those items back. And instead of stepping down and being a witness for Simpson’s case, he continued to represent him as his lawyer in the trial. They also showed the court that Galanter “advised Simpson not to testify, failed to hire experts and investigators to help his case while pocketing much of the nearly $700,000 they say he was paid, and reached a pretrial agreement with prosecutors not to enter evidence into the trial record of phone calls that raised questions about whether he had knowledge of the heist.”

Thirteen years to the day Simpson was acquitted of the deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman, he was convicted in Las Vegas. He was sentenced to nine to 33 years in the Nevada state prison in December 2008.

Parole commissioners granted Simpson parole on five concurrent sentences in July, but this didn’t grant him his freedom. Simpson still has four years to serve for other convictions from the 2008 case.
