  • Lisa Ann Date with Justin Brent Could Get Him Expelled from Notre Dame?

When Notre Dame wide receiver Justin Brent hit the gossip pages and social media recently, eyebrows shot up and tongues wagged. Brent had gone out on a “date” with porn star Lisa Ann. Pictures of the two courtside at a Knicks’ game hit first. Then pics of them cuddling in bed together, which were later deleted.

Lisa Ann responded to the rumors on Twitter, saying, “I am a women NOT held back by my age, lucky for me, because the writers seem to make me out to be a dinosaur. 42 is NOT old, It is amazing!”

Lisa Ann, who specializes in “MILF” porn, is 42 years old. Brent is 18 and a Freshman at Notre Dame. In most of the country, this would be a non-news item, a brief splash and then gone.

But FoxSports notes that since Brent is a student at Notre Dame, a Catholic university, things could get hairy. That institution has a code of conduct for its students, outlined in the Guide to Student Life, specifically the section on Community Standards

“As a Catholic university, Notre Dame has a distinctive mission. The University seeks to nurture in its students a love of knowledge and a keenly developed moral sense… “

The subsection on Sexual Activity gets more specific.

“The University embraces the Catholic Church’s teaching that a genuine and complete expression of love through sex requires a commitment to a total living and sharing together of two persons in marriage. Consequently, students who engage in sexual union outside of marriage may be subject to referral to the University Conduct Process.”

This process includes an “Administrative Investigation”, and could even lead to what is called an “Administrative Hearing for Alleged Violations of the Sexual Misconduct”. This is chiefly concerned with “incidents involving alleged sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking.”

There are a variety of disciplinary outcomes that the Code allows for. These include: Disciplinary Probation, Temporary Dismissal, and Permanent Dismissal, as well as a variety of lesser disciplinary actions, such as writing assignments, verbal or written warnings, workshops, and loss of various privileges.

While Lisa Ann’s career might get a boost from her outing with Justin Brent, it is conceivable that it could cost him his career.

  • Lisa Ann: Is the Porn Star Dating Notre Dame Wide Receiver Justin Brent?

Lisa Ann, the world-famous porn star, stepped out Wednesday with Notre Dame wide receiver Justin Brent at the New York Knick’s preseason game against the Washington Wizards.

Tongues are wagging after the freshmen player showed up at the game before the Fighting Irish plays Navy Saturday at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.

The wide receiver from Speedway, Indiana, smiled sheepishly in photos snapped of him and the porn star, who is most famous for her portrayal of Serra Paylin in the porn classic Who’s Nalin’ Paylin?

TMZ is reporting that it was Lisa Ann who made the initial move, giving Brent her phone number.

Lisa Ann couldn’t seem to wait to post some pictures of her and Brent at the Knicks game, who were reported to be “all over each other” during the preseason game, and one picture afterward of the two in bed cuddling. The photo of the two in bed was later deleted.

Just in case you were wondering. Brent is 18, Lisa Ann is 42.

Apparently, this isn’t the first time Lisa Ann has dated a college football player. According to Lost Lettermen, she was seen in September spending intimate time with Ohio State tight end Jeff Heuerman, complete with photos of the encounter.

And it’s not the first time football players have hooked up with porn stars. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots tight end, had an infamous encounter — complete with pictures — with porn star Bibi Jones.

    Boys will be boys.

Brent, a graduate of Speedway High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, was a four-star prospect and the No. 14 wide receiver in the 2014 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Wonder what Notre Dame will say?

  • Stefanie Dolson Helps UConn Crush Notre Dame In NCAA Final

It probably will not surprise anyone that the UConn Huskies have won the Women’s NCAA championship, led by the talented senior Stefanie Dolson. Last night’s performance was outstanding by each of the UConn players, and they clearly showed why they were undefeated heading into the game.

In order to win the championship this year, they had to get past another undefeated team, Notre Dame, but it was not much of a competition, as the Huskies won 79-58, and completely dominated throughout.

UConn continues to dominate their competition every year and the 2013-2014 season was no different, as they went undefeated throughout the season. This year marks the ninth time that the Huskies have won the championship, a record for NCAA Women.

Stefanie Dolson is set to be the No.1 pick in the WNBA draft, and clearly showed why with her performance on Tuesday night. In the title game against the Fighting Irish, Dolson finished with 17 points and 16 rebounds.

Of course, her 6’5 presence went much further than her statistic performance, and they completed dominated in the paint. It was the most dominating post performance women’s basketball has ever seen in a title game with UConn having an advantage of 52-22 over Notre Dame in the paint.

Speaking on her outstanding perfromance coach Gene Auriemma said “Stefanie Dolson played the game of her life and got every rebound. That was the key.”

Dolson also helped the Huskies get the second highest rebounding margin in championship game history, having an advantage of 54-31. She was the top performer on the team, but also received great help from sophomore forward Breanna Stewart, who recorded 21 points and 9 rebounds.

With the help of senior center Stefanie Dolson, the UConn Huskies finished the season with a record of 40-0, an impressive record for any team to obtain. Notre Dame has been a close second in the league recently, although there seems to be a wide gap between No.1 and No.2.

Following the win by the UConn women, this makes it the first time since 2004 that both the men and women from the same school have won the title in the same year, giving UConn the honor both years, and they are also the only team that has achieved the honor.

UConn continues to dominate, and with the help of Stefanie Dolson, they went undefeated again this year. How will their season end up next year without their senior center?

  • Natalie Achonwa Dominates in NCAA Game

Natalie Achonwa Dominates in NCAA Game

Natalie Achonwa led the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a victory against the Oklahoma State Cowgirls in an NCAA Tournament Regional Semifinal game on Saturday in South Bend. This 89-72 win brings the team’s record this year to 35-0.

The Fighting Irish dominated the game right from the start, scoring the first 14 points of the match and preventing the Cowgirls from getting any closer than within 10 points of their lead.

The 21-year-old Achonwa scored an impressive 23 points, along with a career-high five blocked shots, six assists, and two steals. Her efforts, along with the rest of the squad’s, has put them in the position of only three wins away from an NCAA national title, and one from a Final Four spot.

Achonwa wasn’t the only player with an outstanding performance – Jewel Lloyd had 20 points, while Kayla McBride added 18 to the score.

Watch some of Achonwa’s skills, here:

The Fighting Irish team has made it to three consecutive Final Fours without a championship, which has made Achonwa and her team even more determined to win this year.

“We’ve always been the bridesmaids, but we want the big ring this year,” said Achonwa in an interview. “You have some great programs in Tennessee and UConn [Connecticut] who keep winning, but we want one now.”

The Fighting Irish co-captain was the youngest member of the 2012 Canadian Olympic team. She is the first international player to ever play for Notre Dame. She chose the Fighting Irish over many other prestigious programs, including Louisville, Michigan State, and Kentucky.

These final games of the 2014 season will be Achonwa’s last playing for Notre Dame, as she is expected to be chosen high in April’s WNBA draft.

Achonwa plans to continue to play internationally, but is now focused on helping her team win a championship.

  • Skylar Diggins Honored By WNBA and Notre Dame

It’s been a whirlwind five months for stunning, professional basketball player, Skylar Diggins. As a highly sought-after prospect for the WNBA, Diggins was selected as the third overall draft pick by the Tulsa Shock. Following the draft, she graduated from the prestigious Notre Dome, after a praiseworthy four-year run on and off the court. She also inked a sports management deal with the Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports. Then, on September 15th, she wrapped up the last game of her rookie season with the Shock. Now, she’s embarking on another level of amazing feats.

The Tulsa Shock guard received the prestigious honor of being named to the WNBA All-Rookie team, according to Tulsa World. Humbled by the esteemed honor, Diggins took to Twitter in an effort to express her gratitude and appreciation for the league, her team and the fans collectively.

She even went a step further to express her love for her fans and the city of Tulsa. In a surprise visit this week, Diggins stopped by McLain High School in Tulsa OK. She delivered 14 new pairs of custom basketball shoes to the school’s girls basketball team. Tulsa World reported that not even the coach was aware that she’d be dropping in, so the visit came as a welcomed ambush to everyone. Diggins shared a picture of the girls basketball team on Twitter.

The Shock basketball team also congratulated the rising star rookie on her success this season.

In light of the WNBA honors, Diggins also received another prestigious honor from none other than her collegiate alma-mater, Notre Dame. As the only player in Notre Dame history to be selected as a four-time All-American, there’s no doubt why Diggins is permanently etched in university’s history books. For that commendable attainment, the university honored Diggins with a plaque that has been hung in the woman’s basketball section of Heritage Hall.

It’s been a laudable week for Tulsa’s emerging rookie, and from the looks of it, this is only the beginning.

  • Notre Dame Football Looks Ahead To The Season

Are you ready for some football? Notre Dame sure is. According to coach, Brian Kelly, “We’re like everybody else in college football: extremely excited about starting the season. For us here at Notre Dame, we’ve worked hard to put ourselves in a position to be back in the national spotlight. We have no intention of giving that up.”

The Fall Training Camp at Shiloh Park proved to provide the team with extensive preseason workouts and training. The fans won’t have to wait too much longer to see the fruits of the team’s labors put into practice. The lineup includes a sound defense with the likes of Louis Nix III and Stephon Tuitt; however, the real test will come on the afternoon of August 31, 2013, during the first game of the season against Temple.

Though the fans of the team will be excited to see the talents of the team in full action, there is other news that may not be so well received by the fans. According to Forbes, Notre Dame has been ranked as having the most expensive college football tickets with the average amount being $293.90. The other top four most expensive college football tickets are as follows: Notre Dame ($294), Ohio State ($246), Michigan ($230), Nebraska ($210) and Texas A&M ($204) as listed on Forbes. Are fans or the players, themselves, more excited for the season to begin? Right now it appears that this question could be a toss-up.

  • Notre Dame Football Player Quits Due To Migraines

Notre Dame, which is coming off their most successful season in recent history and an appearance in the national championship game, is in the upper echelon of the college football world once again and are looking to keep it that way. However, they will have to do it without linebacker Danny Spond, who has voluntarily decided to end his playing career.

Spond decided to call it quits after suffering a severe migraine that had symptoms similar to that of a stroke. Even scarier, it was the second such migraine that the youngster had suffered. The incidents, known as hemiplegic migraines, are extremely debilitating, and the cause of them in Spond is unknown.

After Spond suffered the first migraine last season he had to undergo treatment to learn how to walk again. However, he recovered well and only missed two games before starting the next 11 and racking up 39 tackles in the process. The decision to end his career now is one that is incredibly sad for such a young talent, but it may ultimately prevent him from experiences such misery again and could even save his life if the contact from playing football is the cause of the migraines.

It might have been extremely difficult to tell his teammates and coaches that he was leaving them, but in the long run it may be the best decision Danny Spond ever made.

  • Irish QB To Transfer From Notre Dame

Irish QB Gunner Kiel is planning to transfer from Notre Dame according to a source speaking to EPSN. It wasn’t made apparent which school Kiel was planning on transferring to, and Notre Dame wouldn’t comment on the rumored transfer.

Kiel is considered an interesting case as people were highly critical of him during the recruitment process. He was originally going to play for LSU, but decided at the last minute to play for Notre Dame. This drew some ire from LSU coach Les Miles who said that Kiel “did not necessarily have the chest and the ability to lead a program.”

Since then, Kiel has been questioned about his decision, and Miles’ statement, many times. In an interview, the young player admitted that he was “dumb during the recruitment process,” but stated that he was doing “what was best for [him] at the time.”

Transferring may be what’s best for Kiel at this time as Notre Dame freshman Everett Golson played quarterback last year, and Notre Dame recently snagged a new Freshman quarterback in Malik Zaire. A transfer may be just what he needs to ensure that he actually gets some extensive playtime in.

  • Baylor Dominates Notre Dame, Wins Championship

In a near-unheard of perfect season, one player has stood out in women’s basketball this year: Brittney Griner. And not just because she’s 6’8″.

Griner shone on the court this season, but it was the NCAA championship game on Tuesday that really brought out her star power as she drove down the court during the second half, blocking all of Notre Dame’s attempts to even up the score. All told, she ended up adding 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 blocks to her team’s tally for the night, bringing Baylor to the 80-61 win that clinched them a title.

Lady Bears coach Kim Mulkey, who was recently diagnosed with Bell’s palsy–a paralysis of the facial muscles–said that Griner will go down in the history of women’s basketball as the “greatest post player in the game“. Mulkey made the announcement to her team before telling them that her condition wouldn’t affect how loud she could yell.

“It meant everything for us to get it for coach,” said Griner. “She felt like she wasn’t there for us, but we told her every second that we could hear her loud and clear, everything she was saying.”

Baylor hasn’t won a championship since 2005, and no NCAA team in history has gone 40-0…until now.

Fans took to Twitter to congratulate the team:

The Baylor Bears are deserving of the Nation Championship! Going 40-0 has separated them from the pack!
    Congrats!!
