  • Nikki Sixx Not Retiring Yet, Plans To Go On Tour With Sixx: AM

Motley Crue might be retiring, but not Nikki Sixx. The bassist is staying true to the adage that rock and roll never dies and confirms in a Rolling Stone interview that he has no plans to retire yet.

The 56-year-old guitarist has his eye on touring with his other band Sixx: AM once he gets off from his final tour with Motley Crue.

It will be Sixx: AM’s first tour and Sixx is excited to focus on music from the band’s three albums, which he described as complicated and diverse.

“We want to go to Japan and Australia and New Zealand and then Europe and back to America, all while we’re working on our fourth record,” Sixx reveals. “We’re f***ing ready to do it. No retirement for me!”

But it is curtains for the legendary heavy metal band Motley Crue, which is set to take their final bows on New Year’s Eve at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The band has been a force in rock music since 1981 and the Crue’s members – vocalist Vince Neil, drummer Tommy Lee, bassist Nikki Sixx and guitarist Mick Mars – are known for staying true to rock’s hedonistic lifestyles.

However, like their aptly named final tour, all bad things must come to an end and Motley Crue’s members announced that they have signed a “cessation of touring agreement” which will prevent them from touring under the band’s name beyond 2015.

Their final tour kicked off on July last year and ends on December 31 of this year.

Playing at the Staples Center is a fitting end to the band that started its rise to fame on the Sunset Strip. There have been reports that the band will play one last set at the famed Whisky club after their Staples gig, but Sixx has doubts that will materialize.

But fans of Motley Crue shouldn’t worry about not seeing their favorite hellions anymore. Like Sixx, the other 3 members still have their own personal projects.

  • Nikki Sixx Sells His Gated Community Mansion For 2.4 Million Dollars

If you were hoping to buy the home of Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, you are out of luck. It’s sold.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the home was located in the gated community of Calabasas in California. Described as “stone-clad” and “Mediterranean-inspired”, the house included four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a special music room within its 4,500 square feet. Celebrity real estate collectors will most likely be sad to know that the property, which included outdoor features such as a swimming pool, spa, and pizza oven, is now off the market.

The final price was $2.4 million. Sixx bought the place for $1.9 million in 2011.

Back in July, the Los Angeles Times reported Sixx bought a much bigger 10,300 square foot mansion in Westlake Village for $4.1 million. It has two more bathrooms and three more bathrooms than his old home.

Sixx has been busy with his band, SIXX:A.M., which will be playing its first live show since 2009 tomorrow at the iHeart Theater in Burbank, California, according to KNAC.com. There’s also supposed to be some big surprise at the end of the concert.

Also being released tomorrow is SIXX:A.M.’s new album, Modern Vintage.

What should fans expect from this concert and album release? “Sixx:A.M.’s music has always walked that fine line between beauty and darkness, happiness and pain,” James Michael explained in an interview with Global News. “A lot of Sixx:A.M.’s lyrics are pretty heavy subject matter but we always find a way to find hope in every song.”

It makes one wonder if Sixx felt any beauty, darkness, happiness or pain about moving from one multimillion dollar home to another.

  • Nikki Sixx: Mötley Crüe Bassist Gets Married

Mötley Crüe bassist, Nikki Sixx, tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend, model Courtney Bingham Saturday.

Complete with peacocks greeting the 130 guests upon their arrival, family and friends gathered at Greystone Mansion in Los Angeles to witness the “gothic rock meets French countryside” wedding, according to People Magazine.

The 28-year-old bride wore a custom-made gown made by her aunt who owns Janene’s Bridal Boutique, in Northern California.

“I used to drive her nuts when I was younger trying on a million dresses,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

Bingham said she didn’t want a traditional dress and was inspired by a dress worn by actress Jennifer Lawrence that she came upon in a magazine.

“I saw Jennifer Lawrence two years ago at the Oscars falling gracefully, perfectly, as she goes up to accept her award, and I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, the back of that dress!’,” said Bingham.

The couple became engaged over a year ago. Sixx, 55, proposed while on vacation with the How2Girl expert in St. Bart’s.

Stylist Halle Reum threw a bridal shower March 2 at the Hotel Bel Air, decorated with flower arrangements created by the bride herself.

This is Sixx’ third marriage. He was married to Playboy playmate Brandi Brandt for seven years and actress Donna D’Errico for 11 years.
