  • Jill Scott Honored As ‘First Lady Of Soul,’ Debuts ‘Back Together’ Video

Jill Scott is reaping the success of her number one album Woman as she took the number one spot for Best R&B/Soul Female artist and received the First Lady of Soul Award at BET’s Soul Train Awards on Sunday.

Scott, 43, delivered a touching speech during the event as she accepted the award, saying she never tried to be sexy and that she wanted to be known for her art and not for her looks.

“The goal was to write something that you could relate to, the goal was to be in your house when you make that new baby, to be there to squash that argument, to incite it if necessary,” said Scott. “I never wanted to be sexy for anybody, I swear I didn’t. But I did want to write some sexy stuff for you.” “I thank you for treating me with respect,” Scott said as she expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support and the respect she has received from the music industry and her fans ever since she launched her debut album Who is Jill Scott back in 2000.

However, fans of the soul songstress were enraged after BET aired her musical performance in black and white. It caused fans to wonder if their television had malfunctioned, while others thought BET used an Instagram filter over the singer’s celebratory number.

Coinciding with her BET win, the new First Lady of Soul has finally released a music video for “Back Together,” a soulful track which was lifted from her chart topping album Woman.

Jill Scott Releases The Official Video Of Her New Track, “Back Together”

The five minute-video features contemporary dancers interpreting how broken relationships and people are brought back together. In true Jill Scott tradition, the song (and video) are both soulful and inspiring.

  • Keke Palmer Strips down For Sexy New Music Video, ‘I Don’t Belong To You’

American singer and actress Lauren Keyana “Keke” Palmer just released a brand new music video for her upcoming album later this year.

The new single, entitled “I Don’t Belong to You” is a black-and-white clip that not only highlights Keke Palmer’s distinct vocals, but also her curves. She is seen wearing bikini, lingerie, or nothing at all for more than half of the video.

The music video starts with Palmer wearing lingerie as she stares at the view outside her beau’s room. She then suits up and leaves her lover, while they visibly engage in an argument.

She returns home, takes a shower in front of the camera, wears a huge fur coat, and prepares for her next destination.

The video ends in a rather surprising turn as Palmer turns up in the doorstep of an equally sexy Cassie, also a singer, actress and model. She slightly opens her fur coat, revealing her lingerie, and there is definitely some romantic undertone as the two go hand in hand inside.

Palmer’s new single is slower in pace compared to other R&B music she has done in the past, as described by J-14.

The Scream Queens mainstay has been too busy acting and modeling in the past few years, and this new single could be an announcement that she’s officially returning to the music industry.

Palmer, 22, announced her new recording contract with one of Universal’s major labels, Island, in August. The single, “I Don’t Belong to You”, will be her first since releasing her last album, So Uncool through Atlantic Records in 2007.

The song writer and TV personality is currently a talk show host for Just Keke, a show that discusses topics about fashion, pop culture, social issues, relationships, and other celebrity news.

  • Rita Ora And Madonna Reunite In Secret Music Video

Good news for Rita Ora fans. The singer has reportedly filmed a secret music video with the “Material Girl” herself, Madonna.

The “Vogue” songstress and the 24-year-old Ora were said to have developed a friendship after meeting at different showbiz events. An insider even commented there was a “real connection” there that went beyond the normal business-related relationships.

Ora was one of the few people who came to 56-year-old music superstar’s defense after the incident with Drake and the two became closer after that.

During a performance at Coachella, Madonna pulled Drake into a passionate French kiss that was typical of the “Like a Virgin” star. But Drake appeared to be disgusted by the kiss, and was seen making a face and wiping his mouth afterwards.

The singer received a not so small amount of ridicule after the incident.

But Ora came to Madonna’s defense, posting a steamy 90’s photo of the pop legend on Instagram that showed off her athletic body in pasties and a sheer leotard.

“Thank you for fighting all these ageist battles, and paving a way, that just maybe one day, all of us ‘Younger’ Artists won’t have too in the future,” Ora’s message said.

And it seemed that Madonna was appreciative of the gesture as well.

A music video with an icon like Madonna might just be the extra push the “I Will Never Let You Down” hit maker needs to make it big in the US.

“It’s an incredible coup for Rita to do a vid with Madonna and shows how big she is becoming in the States,” a source close to the singer said.

And Ora was so excited that she even “changed her schedule to be able to do the filming in an instant.”

This isn’t the first time that the two have worked together. The British singer has also been tapped to be the face of Material Girl, Madonna and daughter Lourdes’ clothing line.

  • Selena Gomez And Taylor Swift Face Off In Cleavage-Baring Bodysuits For ‘Bad Blood’ Video

It was a case of saving the best for last as Taylor Swift revealed at the last minute that Selena Gomez was also appearing in her much hyped “Bad Blood” music video.

And if the late Twitter post is anything to go by, fans would agree that it was worth the wait.

Gomez can be seen wearing a skin tight, cleavage baring bodysuit and rocking short hair with bangs reminiscent of Uma Thurman’s look in Pulp Fiction. A big gun, sultry lips and plenty of eyeshadow complete Gomez’ badass look.

Justin Beiber’s 22-year-old ex-girlfriend plays a character called Arsyn in the video and Swift was right in her description that Gomez will “start some fires.”

The “Shake it Off” singer drummed up interest for her new single by uploading posters of all the celebrities appearing in her video in the week leading up to its worldwide premier during the Billboard Music Awards. Friends like Cara Delevigne, Ellie Goulding, Hailee Steinfield, Karlie Kloss, Lena Dunham and Martha Hunt all lent a hand and their Sin City inspired posters were more than enough to catch people’s attention.

Directed by Joseph Kahn, “Bad Blood” showcased the celebrities portraying characters that would’ve easily fit in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill trilogy. Swift plays the character Catastrophe while Gomez is the lead femme fatale. Swift and Kahn scored a coup by getting supermodel Cindy Crawford, Law & Order: SVU’s Mariska Hargitay and Grey’s Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo to put in a surprise appearance.

There’s no doubt what provided the inspiration for the video as the movies Kill Bill and Sin City will certainly pop in viewers’ minds when they see “Bad Blood”. The catchy tune, eye popping action sequences, flashy cinematography and stylish BDSM meets steampunk fashion certainly makes the campy video fun to watch.

Fans will undoubtedly want to see all these characters come back, maybe in a full-length action movie next time.

  • Meghan Trainor Releases Video For “Lips Are Movin”

Meghan Trainor, the singer behind the hit song “All about That Bass”, has just released the video for her second single “Lips Are Movin’”. The song offers more than a few nods to “All about That Bass”, from the instrumentation, the songwriting, and even a couple of lyrical send-ups to her debut single. The video features Trainor singing and dancing in front of colorful backgrounds. The singer talked about the video with MTV News when they interviewed her during the shoot.

Trainor says, “This video is going to be awesome because it’s not just a story or a theme of ‘here’s a boy and here’s me and me yelling at him.’ It’s like, ‘Here’s me being sassy and other people dancing with me and having just a good time and trying to get through this feeling of, Ugh he’s cheating on me again.’ Like, ‘I know you’re lying, but that’s OK because I’m gonna find the next guy. I’m good.’”

Meghan also teamed up with HP to get some of the biggest superstars in social media sites like Vine, Youtube, and Instagram to help make the video. “I love HP for doing this with me. It’s the first time any artist has done this, which is pretty risky,” Trainor said about the collaboration. The internet stars were involved in the video in various capacities, from appearing in cameos to helping out with the choreography and the production.

“We have all these beautiful sets here. We have different colors and I usually wear all black-on-black because I don’t like a lot of colors,” Trainor said. “But I thought this was so cute and fun and my blonde hair looks great with pink behind me, so I think it will be fun.”

Trainor will be releasing her debut album, Title, on January 13. The record will also feature “All about That Bass”, which has spent 18 weeks so far on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

  • Kristen Bell Releases Funny Christmas Music Video

Kristen Bell is already in the holiday spirit and is putting her vocal cords to work.

If you will remember, last year Bell lent her voice to the hit animated film Frozen for the character Anna and the soundtracks “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” “Love Is an Open Door,” and “For the First Time in Forever.”

This year, the Veronica Mars star has collaborated with Straight No Chaser on a silly, yet sweet, Christmas song called “Text Me Merry Christmas.”

Bell debuted the jingle on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Monday, Nov. 17.

The video that goes along with the song shows a cell phone screen with the lyrics popping up like text messages.

“This holiday you’ll be far away / And I’ll be all alone / So please remember this December / To fully charge your phone,” Bell sings. “And… Text me Merry Christmas / Let me know you care / Just a word or two of text from you / Will remind me you’re still there.”

“Text me Merry Christmas / Make my holiday complete / Though you’re far from me, say you’ll BRB / That’s a text I’ll never delete / Choose just the right emoji / One that makes me LOL / And if you text me something naughty / I promise I won’t tell,” Straight No Chaser sings.

  • Nicki Minaj Apologizes For Nazi Video

Nicki Minaj has issued an apology for her most recent music video that uses Nazi imagery.

The video debuted on Friday, November 7, and shows an animated group of soldiers with red arm bands and symbols that resemble swastikas. The same symbol is visible on Minaj’s chest in the video.

The Anti-Defamation League quickly criticized the video. “Nicki Minaj’s new video disturbingly evokes Third Reich propaganda and constitutes a new low for pop culture’s exploitation of Nazi symbolism,” the national director of the Anti-Defamation League and a Holocaust survivor Abraham H. Foxman told FOX411 in a statement.

“The irony should be lost on no one that this video debuted on the 76th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the ‘night of broken glass’ pogrom that signaled the beginning of the Final Solution and the Holocaust,” he added.

After the backlash, Minaj took to Twitter to offer her sincerest apologies, claiming that she would never condone Nazism in her videos.

“The artist who made the lyric video for “Only” was influenced by a cartoon on Cartoon Network called “Metalocalypse” & Sin City,” Minaj tweeted. “Both the producer, & person in charge of over seeing the lyric video (one of my best friends & videographer: A. Loucas), happen to be Jewish. I didn’t come up w/the concept, but I’m very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I’d never condone Nazism in my art.”

  • Danny DeVito, One Direction Make Wacky Music Video

Ballerinas with umbrellas, sumo wrestlers in the desert, a misplaced marching band, Danny DeVito giving directorial directions to a boy band? It may sound like a Fellini movie, but it’s actually One Direction’s latest video for their newest release Steal My Girl.

Several pictures hit the web a couple days ago of DeVito playing a director in the band’s music video. Yesterday, we got to see a bunch of exclusive behind-the-scene photos from the video’s promo shoot. The video was shot in the desert, just outside of Los Angeles. All the boys were present: Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik.

The video for their new single Steal My Girl is in support of the band’s fourth studio album, which appropriately is named Four. The tune was co-written by Louis and Liam.

Here’s a quick behind-the-scenes look at the video shoot.

Ben Winston, who directed the video, said, “It’s quite an exciting video.” He added, “You should expect the unexpected on this one. It’s weird and wonderful.” Winston also directed two other One Direction videos, Best Song Ever and This Is Us.

It certainly looks weird, wonderful, and definitely pretty wacky.

If you’re interested in checking out Steal My Girl, you’re in luck, the song is currently available on iTunes.

The band’s last album, Midnight Memories, was the best selling album out of Britain in 2013. Four is set to drop on November 17.

  • Jennifer Lopez’s “Booty” Video: Empowering Or Desperate?

With a title like “Booty”, perhaps we shouldn’t have been surprised that the very first thing that greets our eyes is a shot of Jennifer Lopez’s voluptuous rear end.

It’s only fair that we see a booty in a video where that’s the name of the song.

But there are just some things one is not prepared for.

Lopez and Iggy Azelea grinding on each other booty-to-booty as the words “you got a big booty” are repeated over and over again?

Most definitely one of those things I was not prepared for.

    The result was unintended laughter.

Not that it matters; I doubt anyone associated with this song and video expected it to be taken seriously.

It’s perfectly clear that this music video was all about big booties and showing as much butt crack as possible. By all means, watch it for yourself and then try to tell me I’m exaggerating. I dare you:

I honestly expected Nicki Minaj to emerge twerking from the rafters at some point.

The theme and sound of this video isn’t too dissimilar from the recently released Anaconda.

Had Minaj made a guest appearance, I doubt anyone would have been remotely shocked.

While it’s great for women with large derrieres that it is once again “socially acceptable” to be anything other than FLAT at the back (the 80’s were apparently especially tragic in this regard…), one can’t help but worry that pop culture has gotten carried away about women’s booties.

What was supposed to be a trend signaling the love of the feminine form now seems to signal a sneaky way to denigrate womanhood and reduce it along with female artistry to the discussion of their asses and how perky or real they are.

Is Jennifer Lopez just proud of her rear or is this a sad attempt at staying relevant in a market where everything at the moment seems to about the physicality of a singer rather than her talent?

We grownups know or should all know that there is more to a truly sensual woman than the size and shape of her rear end.

Which is why there’s really nothing else to be said about a woman’s ass at this point….Except that maybe someday we’ll allow women to escape ever only being a piece of one in the eyes of greater society.

I won’t hold my breath though.

Jennifer Lopez’s outrageous video “Booty” has managed over 15,000,000 views within a two day period.

Sure, sex sells; nothing new or surprising there.

Does Jennifer Lopez’s Video Go Too Far Or Is The “Booty” Trend Here To Stay? Comment Below!

  • Hilary Duff Releases First Music Video In Six Years

Hilary Duff has released her first single in six years, along with an accompanying music video.

The single, Chasing the Sun, which was co-written by Toby Gad, Colbie Caillat and Jason Reeves, was released on Monday, July 28.

The video starts with Duff sitting in her office, daydreaming while reading a vacation magazine. Duff is then seen imagining herself on the beach with a hunky guy, but awakes abruptly when she accidentally runs into a glass window during a business meeting.

“[This song is] just a peek into my new album,” Duff said of her new single. “I’ve worked very hard and the album is a great representation of the experiences I’ve had in my life and where I want to go from here.”

Duff hasn’t released an album since her 2007 album Dignity. Since then, she has mainly been focusing on acting, appearing on television shows Two and a Half Men and Raising Hope.

Hilary has also been focusing most of her time on motherhood. In 2010, Duff married hockey player Mike Comrie, and they later welcomed their first child Luca Cruz Comrie. Earlier this year, Duff and Comrie announced that they would be separating.

“Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have mutually decided to an amicable separation,” Duff’s rep said at the time. “They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other’s lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time.”

  • Chrissy Teigen: John Legend’s Wife Fired from Forever 21 Gig

Chrissy Teigen, the gorgeous wife of singer John Legend, was once fired from a modeling gig for Forever 21 for being too ‘fat.’ The model, who appeared on the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover, is laughing all the way to the bank these days. Back then, however, it must have been a bit humiliating.

It was apparently a few years back when Teigen, who recently admitted to ‘hooking up’ with her hubby on their first date–showed up for the photo shoot for Forever 21.

“I showed up on set,” she said in an interview with DuJour magazine. “And they asked me if they could take a photo. And they shot the photo over to my agency who then called me as I’m sitting in the makeup chair. And they say, ‘You need to leave right now. You are fat. Come get your measurements taken.’”

Chrissy Teigen claims she had some ‘choice words’ for Forever 21 following that unpleasant incident. She doesn’t have trouble coming up with the right words in most situations with the exception of one main topic. She doesn’t talk publicly about either her diet or her fitness routines.

“That kind of stuff is very private to me because I do feel like when I do end up sharing stuff like that either it doesn’t work for everybody or everyone has their own opinion,” she said.

She did share something that’s really rather unusual for a model–especially one who has gotten the kind of coverage that she has. Despite her flawless beauty, Chrissy Teigen doesn’t wash her face before she goes to bed at night.

“My face never looks better than when I get off a plane,” she said in the magazine piece. “Because I never wash my face before bed, ever, in real life, but on airplanes the second I get in my seat I use my face towels, I’ll use a nose strip, I’ll do everything.”

Ladies, don’t take this as sound advice. Most people would wake up looking horrible–or at the very least have breakouts and a very unpleasant complexion–if they didn’t wash their face and remove their makeup before calling it a day.

Chrissy Teigen was no doubt gifted with some amazing genes. Not only is she gorgeous–just ask hubby John Legend, on whose music video ‘All of Me’ she appears–it’s clear she doesn’t have to work hard to maintain that beauty–at least not her skin. Do you suppose it looked that flawless during that infamous first date?

  • Khloe Kardashian in French Montana Music Video

Khloe Kardashian joins boyfriend French Montana in an upcoming music video in which the two wear matching scary masks. The video for ‘Don’t Panic’ was filmed on Wednesday and both the rapper and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared still shots from the shoot with their fans.

French Montana holds a creepy-looking bouquet of roses while Khloe poses just behind him in one of their photos. In another shot Khloe is spotted wearing a grill–yes, a grill–that French Montana reportedly gave her as a birthday present.

Does Khloe Kardashian have any musical ability? Or is she in this music video simply because she’s dating French Montana?

This first shot below, posted by French Montana on his Instagram account, is captioned “#dontpanic.”

Khloe Kardashian posted the following shot to her Instagram account, captioned “Black roses in my garden.”

And then, of course, Khloe shared the photo of that grill–along with kudos to the artist who created it.

“Thanks @rafaelloandco for making me my grill! I love dressing all of my MANY moods.” the photo is captioned.

The grill wasn’t French Montana’s only birthday present for Khloe Kardashian either. He reportedly also presented her with an emerald and yellow diamond ring and a brand new car.

But what’s with the grill? Is that the latest Kardashian fashion accessory?

CEO of Rafaello and Company, Gabriel Jacobs, said at the time Khloe received the gift that she was thrilled.

“Khloé was ecstatic!! She gave French Montana a hug and a kiss and she gave me a big hug and said, ‘Thank you so much!’” he said.

Wow–a music video and now a grill. What’s next in store for the transformation of Khloe Kardashian? Will she and French Montana go on tour together soon? This just doesn’t seem much like the same young woman who was dying to become a mother just a few short months ago. Her fans seem to think it’s a great addition, however.

Do you think Khloe Kardashian and French Montana are a compatible couple–or is this just Khloe on the rebound since her split from Lamar Odom?

  • Paula Patton: Will Robin Thicke “Get Her Back”?

I can’t say for certain what’s going through Paula Patton’s mind as I’m not psychic.

If her thoughts at present were somewhere between “WTF?!” and wondering if there was a table nearby she could crawl under, then I wouldn’t be surprised.

What could spur such confusion and embarrassment? Patton’s estranged husband, Robin Thicke.

The poor man’s Justin Timberlake put out a video called “Get Her Back”, the first single off his new album called Paula.

Not one for subtlety, it seems clear that Thicke wants his woman back and will do anything to make it happen.

Even film a video of his sad puppy-face bruised and beaten.

There’s a series of text messages in the video which reflect their real life conflict and public breakup. At the end, Thicke writes the somewhat cryptic message, “This is just the beginning.”

Then the screen fades to white.

    Okaaaaay.

So rather than leave Patton alone to make up her own mind about her relationship, Thicke is going to publicly hound and harass her into taking him back.

It shouldn’t be surprising following a rather public display with singer Miley Cyrus that was said to be the straw that broke the camel’s back and Patton’s heart.

The actress had apparently had enough, suggesting that tension had been building quite some time.

Rather than see his own behavior as driving Patton away, Thicke is simply hoping to beg guilt harass romance Patton into forgetting why she dumped him.

Perhaps Thicke could have saved the money spent on putting out this album and just spent it on a good marriage counselor. After all, many marriages have been saved by sitting down in private with a trained professional to hash out exactly what went wrong and the role both parties played in the breakdown.

They can also guide you towards a resolution: Stay together or break up.

Contrary to what some men believe, the way to a woman’s heart when you’ve done wrong isn’t to croon them into submission in the hopes they’ll overlook your hurtful behavior.

The best course of action would be to man up and take responsibility and then step back and allow your partner to make up her mind. That’s probably a simpler, much more sensible way to “get her back”.

  • Sia “Chandelier” Music Video Drops

Songwriter and talented vocalist Sia Furler is back again with new single “Chandelier”. After gifting Rihanna “Diamonds” and teaming up with David Guetta for “Titanium”, someone finally convinced her to keep a bit of magic for herself.

    “Chandelier” is magical.

After weeks of waiting, we finally have the official music video for the song.

The video starts off in an empty room and eventually we are moved down a dark hallway.

What is this place? An abandoned motel? You get a sense of decay and hopelessness, that something terrible has happened or will happen.

It’s a very eerie setting that seems to set the tone of the video before any music actually begins.

    Then suddenly….a wild Sia appears!

Okay, it’s not actually Sia. It’s a young dancer with a haircut that is reminiscent of the singer.

The young girl’s movements are both graceful and disturbing. She comes across as a young Alice that stayed in Wonderland with the Mad Hatter just a wee bit too long.

The impression is heightened by the bizarre expression on the face of the young dancer who curtsies three times at the close of the song and then stands there awkwardly when the song is over.

When it’s over, it’s hard to tell if we’re viewing a child who is talented and imaginative, or just really really bored, or perhaps has gone absolutely insane after being left in this strange place by their family some time ago.

The song gives a sense of emotional and intellectual abandonment which is certainly reflected in the video. It’s also a bit nostalgic for any child that when given the opportunity to be by themselves in a new place exploring and having fun. Although, the mood would have been decidedly less ominous and mentally disturbing.

In any case, “Chandelier” a great song and you should definitely check out the music video!

Sara Bareilles has a new music video that premiered on Wednesday. Called I Choose You, it features two real life marriage proposals.

Bareilles shared some information about a contest she sponsored back in March.

“I’m looking for someone planning a proposal to a Sara Bareilles (me!) fan,” she wrote. “If you or someone you know is planning a fantastic proposal, I want to help! … The more elaborate and creative the better.”

She asked for people to send in their #IChooseYou stories. Two couples were chosen as winners. Sara Bareilles and her team chose Matt and Chelsea from Los Angeles and Aly and Andrea from Denver. In the music video Sara sings I Choose You in front of a gray backdrop while video clips are shown of the two couples and the processes leading up to their proposals. Kylie Minogue Teaches Us To Sexercize

Kylie Minogue, known worldwide as Australia’s pop princess, has just released an X-rated new promotional video for her new album’s second single, Sexercize. In the video, she is seen doing a “sex workout” with four other women.

The new promotional video is Sexercize’s third. Prior to its debut, Minogue released two teasers. One featured an homage to Olivia Newton-John’s Physical, while the other featured a raunchier version directed by Roman Coppola.

Sexercize is the first promotional single from Kiss Me Once, which Minogue released last week. Both the song and album stay true to Minogue’s sound and image – dance pop presented in a sensual package.

In the Sexercize video, Minogue proves that she can keep up with younger pop artists even at 45. She dons a white leotard and red high-heeled shoes doing suggestive routines with an inflatable gym ball and a pommel horse. At some point in the video, she licks the sweat off a model and then gets a massage from her female dancers.

Kiss Me Once is the pop princess’ 12th studio album, and her first under Warner Bros. and Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation. One of the tracks building up heat is Into the Blue. Take a listen.

  • Farrah Abraham Releases New Music Video

Farrah Abraham Releases New Music Video

Farrah Abraham has been living her life in the spotlight since appearing on MTV’s Teen Mom six years ago. She has been scrutinized for her parenting skills and excessive plastic surgery.

Farrah’s struggles as a teen mother, raising her daughter Sophia, were documented on the show for years, and she has developed a following of ‘haters’ that constantly hound her for her mistakes.

Now, Farrah is getting back at those ‘haters’ by releasing a new music video called Blowin, in which she sings the lyrics, “blowin all these bullies away.” The video shows Farrah partying with her friends, and spending time with Sophia.

During a recent interview with In Touch Weekly, Farrah described her experience with bullying, and how she is trying to overcome it. “I think all of the bully types I deal with … who are determined to be against me in my life,” Farrah said. “I want others to see they don’t need to be a follower or conform to what others think or do and let them live their lives to their full potential. I feel that to overcome the gravity of the negativity bullies try to portray on others, we really need our own space and focus to leave all of that behind and clear the negativity.”

Farrah explained that she wanted to create an upbeat song that will remind people to live up to their full potential. She says that Sophia loves the song and dances to it all the time. “I think the single ‘Blowin’ ’ reminds others of that great potential in an upbeat song,” she continued. “I also want my daughter to be better than all the gossip and negative people when she gets older, and Sophia really likes the song and dances to it as much as she can.”

Farrah released her first album My Teenage Dream Ended in 2012. Each of the ten songs on the album coincided with the chapters of her best-selling book. Since then, Farrah has been focusing on one song at a time, rather than getting in a rush to release a new album. “I think if I feel passionate about a subject, then I will write a song and share with others who I know can relate,” she said. “Personally, music is a hobby, not my career move, but I hope others enjoy it as much as my daughter and I do.”

  • LeBron James Makes a Music Video, Sports a Black Mask in Return to Heat

Miami Heat star LeBron James has had a busy week. Not only did the forward appear in a hilarious music video with The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon, James also returned to the court last night after sitting out for a week with a broken nose.

After teaming up with First Lady Michelle Obama to videobomb a PSA last month, James worked with Fallon to deliver some laughs in Wastepaper Basketball. Aside from showing off some decent rap skills, James gave office workers around the world a few new moves to try when they play wastepaper basketball.

Check out the Wastepaper Basketball video below.

In other LeBron James news, after sitting out for a week due to breaking his nose, James returned to the court last night and led the Heat to a 108-82 victory over the New York Knicks. Amazingly, James’s 31 points hasn’t offered nearly as much to talk about as the big man’s new face mask. James wore a black protective mask last night, and from the looks of it, James’s intimidation factor was probably at an all-time high.

Thanks to some of James’s hilarious on-the-court and off-the-court antics, it’s hard to imagine him as anything other than a joker, but the new look prompted James make a Dark Knight comparison.

Check out a picture of the mask James posted to Instagram below.

“It went with the uniform,” James said of the protective mask. “I knew we were wearing throwback uniforms. I was able to get a carbon-fiber one, which is actually lighter than the one I had been wearing in practice. It came through at the last minute, so I went with it.”

As much fun as it is to joke around about the mask, James did note that it hindered his play a little. “A couple of times it was [a problem],” James said. “A couple of times, I kept seeing inside the mask sometimes before I could see a player. But for the most part, I was able to get into a good comfort zone and make some plays.”

Even though the mask was problematic a few times, you wouldn’t know it from the stats. Heat teammate Chris Bosh was also quick to offer up props–and make a Dark Knight comparison–after the game. “I think he played like Batman out there,” Bosh said. “I think it really helped him out. He played great.”

  • Here’s What May Be The First 3D Printed Music Video

Using stop motion in a music video is nothing new. The White Stripes, The Birthday Massacre and more have all utilized the animation style for their music videos. These videos, however, always used puppets or legos for the dolls. One band from Australia may be the first to have used 3D printed figurines for their music video.

3ders reports that Australian electronic band Cut Copy have released a music video for their latest single “We Are Explorers.” What sets this video apart is that all the figurines seen in the video were created using 3D printers. Doesn’t stop motion animation require posable figurines though? Generally speaking, yes, but Cut Copy printed around 200 figurines to make up for their lack of movement.

Besides using 3D printers, the video also made of Stratasys’ unique materials, like its UV-reactive filament that glows under a black light. This gives the music video’s production values an even more impressive quality.

Pretty cool, right? Well, you can make your own music video as well since Cut Copy released the design files for their 3D printed figurines on BitTorrent. They want fans to make their own music video using the figurines and take them on journeys not explored in the original video.

While Cut Copy’s 3D printed figurines may lack the detail seen in other stop motion animated features, it’s still wonderfully inventive to see the technology being used in this way. Besides, there’s something to be said about simplicity being more artsy.

  • N. Korea Rap Video Becomes First Ever To Be Released

On Tuesday, the very first rap music video to ever be recorded in North Korea was revealed in an exclusive report by The Guardian.

Washington D.C.-based rappers, (Anthony Bobb) Pacman, 19, and (Dontray Ennis) Peso, 20, uploaded to YouTube a video with the title “Escape to North Korea.”

Becoming one of the few Americans to visit North Korea, other than Denis Rodman, obviously the two were not welcomed by the country’s communist leader, Kim Jong-un.

Ironically, the Hip Hop duo posted the video on Jong-un’s 31st birthday.

The unsigned artists initially received support for their trip through an online campaign on Kickstarter. However, their greatest support came from 25-year-old investment banker, Ramsey Aburdene. (image)

After an unplanned acquaintance with Aburdene, he became their manager. Ever since then, their rap career has been taking off.

The two wanted to travel in secrecy, but an article by Gawker publicized Pacman and Peso’s trip to North Korea. As soon as the two landed and entered into the airport, paparazzi and journalists were there waiting to greet them.

However, the pair continued onto their anticipated exploration of the country they’ve been so anxious but yet excited to experience for some time.

Their five-day trip consisted of rides on tourist buses and walks down military surveillance streets. Yet each time, Pacman and Peso were discretely recording scenes of their video.

Their music video was mainly shot in the metropolitan area of Pyongyang with the assistance of a mutual military friend of Aburden, who gathered up people to be apart of the video project.  Other portions of the video include shots of historical monuments and farmland.

Throughout their trip, both said that they did not experience any issues and mentioned how people on the streets were nice and even waved at them as they passed by.

One thing that they have become enlightened about, however, is North Korea’s political animosity towards America.

“We learned about their leaders and why they have problems with America. All the Koreans we met were cool… It was all love over there. It wasn’t how what people was saying it would be,” Peso told AFP.

The first thought that came to mind when Pacman safely departed from the communist state was, “We made it out. We beat the odds.”

Check out the music video prelude here shot in Hong Kong:

  • Miley Cyrus’ Racy Music Video Leaked On YouTube

Question…is Miley Cyrus making music videos or low budget porn films? I have yet to notice any distinguishable differences. In her leaked “music video” Adore You, the newest single off of her album Bangerz, Miley is seen rolling around nearly naked on a bed and simulating masturbation. Wow, what a turn on.

On December 23, Miley tweeted: “Were so close to #AdoreYou 3 daysssss until the world premier on vevo. I can’t waiiiiitt annnny longerrrr!” Apparently she didn’t have to wait much longer because someone, who she refers to as f*** face, leaked her video a day sooner than it was scheduled to premiere. In a later tweet, Miley responds to the leak by saying: “We all know Smilers would break another record if it wasn’t for the fuck face who leaked my video. Alllllll good! Keep smiling :)”

Personally, I wish I had never watched the video. Watching Miley caress herself and roll around in sheets for four and a half minutes was a genuine waste of time. However, if you would like to witness it, check out the video below.
