  • The Grand Budapest Hotel Trailer Released [Video]

The Grand Budapest Hotel, already one of the most anticipated films of 2014, has finally released its long-awaited trailer. The Grand Budapest Hotel is the latest film from Wes Anderson, a big fan favorite. Anderson is known for reusing his favorite actors, and has gained a reputation for it, with this film being no different.

Wes Anderson‘s last film, Moonrise Kingdom was a huge hit, and was even nominated for Best Picture. Moonrise Kingdom also earned Anderson a nomination for Best Original Screenplay. In addition to his 2012 hit, he is very well-known as a director for his work on Rushmore, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, and The Royal Tenenbaums, among others.

The new film is filled with an unbelievable amount of stars, including several of Anderson’s regulars including Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman. This film also brings in several new actors that he has not used before such as Saoirse Ronan, Willem Dafoe, Jude Law and Harvey Keitel.

Anderson is known to take his viewers on an incredible cinematic journey that introduces us to new worlds, and in this film we are given the setting of a famous hotel in Europe. The main character in the film is M. Gustave (Ralph Fiennes), a hotel concierge who is accused of murdering an elderly madame (Tilda Swinton). There is also an art heist involving Gustave’s young protege (Tony Revolori).

Entertainment Weekly states that the trailer looks a little like the board game Clue, and demonstrates the slow-boiling intrigue of Downton Abbey. It also includes a signature of Anderson’s -obtaining the color saturation of a Vermeer painting.

Fans of Wes Anderson’s can all get excited in anticipation for the next few months, for what will likely be his next big hit with The Grand Budapest Hotel. Details of the film were scarce to find for a long time, but this week, we have seen the announcement of a release date, poster, and now the trailer.

The Grand Budapest Hotel will be released on March 7, 2014.

  • Bill Murray Takes Viewers On a Rum-Filled Tour Of Moonrise Kingdom

It’s a basic law of pop culture that Bill Murray can get away with just about anything this day and age. He’s an icon who’s own personality is just as big, if not more so than the filmography he’s accrued throughout the years. Whether he’s singing ‘Take Me Out to the Ball Game’ at Wrigley Field, or playing Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters, there’s always one constant – you’ll be entertained.

So, enjoy the video and abask in the greatness of Bill Murray.

As a bonus, here’s a video of Murray running around the bases at Wrigley Field before throwing out a first pitch. Again, who else could have gotten away with this?

  • Bill Murray Acts Like a Boss at Cannes

Bill Murray Acts Like a Boss at Cannes

Bill Murray seems like the kind of guy that walks into a room and instantly draws the attention of everyone there. He could walk into a party with Albert Einstein, Jesus, and the Dos Equis guy and everyone would still want to talk to him. He proved that again with his red carpet entrance at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday. Dressed in about ten different kinds of plaid, boat shoes, and a miniature camera, Murray looked like everyone’s kooky grandpa mixed with a little Rodney Dangerfield. That is, if your grandpa was the funniest man on earth.

Murray stole the show. Striking poses and cavorting with his co-stars of the Wes Anderson flick Moonrise Kingdom. With all the other Hollywood stars there, even their gaze was fixed on the living legend.

  • Moonrise Kingdom Looks a Lot Like Every Other Wes Anderson Movie

This the new poster for the Wes Anderson flick Moonrise Kingdom. And surprise! It looks like every other Wes Anderson movie since The Royal Tenenbaums.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Wes Anderson is great. He just needs to stop making movies that all look alike. Maybe it’s just the posters. They could try releasing one that doesn’t include the entire cast staring meaningfully into the camera:

These two movies are exactly the same.

He even gets inanimate objects to stare meaningfully at the camera. How does he do it?

Moonrise Kingdom is set to premiere at Cannes in a few weeks. The new poster (in French) is part of the promotion.

Moonrise Kingdom is set on an Island off the coast of New England in the 60’s. A young boy and girl fall in love, and probably act quirky around each other. They run away together and the whole town goes searching for them.

My guess is it will be offbeat and bittersweet. I will alternate between loving it for the humor and hating it for trying so hard to be weird.

  • Seth Rogen Peeing In Tom Cruise’s Driveway, Crow Roof Tubing, and Gravity Sucks

A viral video is one that becomes popular through the process of Internet sharing, via social media, sharing sites, or good ‘ole email. Everyday we highlight some of the best that are currently viral and some that are trending that way.

Today’s videos feature Wes Anderson’s lastest movie ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ trailer, a Wall-E/Prometheus trailer mash-up, a mean cat, and…crow roof tubing.

Ha, Seth Rogen drinks Snapple. Yeah, well, have you ever met Tom Cruise in person?

How is the modding community just now getting around to this? GTA IV as a T1…yes, please.

This video just goes to show that snow tubing can be enjoyed by any species. These creatures can fly, and snow tubing is still fun.

Gravity, what a buzz kill. Seriously though, this is an amazing video that looks like a lot of time went into it.

I wonder if there has ever been a scientific study done to see if tumbleweeds are as common in the real west as they are in the west in cinema.

Wes Anderson is one of the greatest examples of hit/miss to me. The movies of his I like, I really like, and the feeling resonates on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. This one looks like it could be a hit…Bruce Willis is in it.

The same guy that brought us the Lion King/Dark Knight Rises trailer mash-up has given us another great work to enjoy…

I don’t see how people own cats, I’m the one that gets to knock things out of peoples’ hands in this household!
