  • Jennifer Esposito Not Returning to Season Four of ‘Mistresses’

Jennifer Esposito won’t return to the fourth season of Mistresses when it debuts next summer. ABC just announced on Friday that the show had been renewed for another season.

Playing the role of fashion designer Calista Raines, Jennifer Esposito was under contract for just one year when she signed on to the cast of Mistresses after Alyssa Milano left the show.

Since her character was last seen contemplating suicide, that’s likely how her departure will be written into the script for next summer.

Based on the U.K. series of the same name, Mistresses is executive-produced by Rina Mimoun, KJ Steinberg, Robert Sertner and Douglas Rae.

In addition to her role on Mistresses, Jennifer Esposito played the part of Donnie Wahlberg’s character Danny Reagan on Blue Bloods.

Mistresses stars Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes, Jes Macallan, Brett Tucker, and Rob Mayes. The show is about the lives of four women and the relationships–some of them illicit–they experience.

Are you a fan of Mistresses? How do you expect the show fare sans Jennifer Esposito?

  • Alyssa Milano Chooses Family Over Career

Alyssa Milano has left her show Mistresses.

The show, which she has been with for two seasons, will go on to its third season without Savannah.

Savi, as she is known, may be written off or Alyssa Milano might be replaced with a different actress.

Whatever the case, the show is going to go through some changes.

But it will be worth it for Alyssa Milano, who has decided that the well-being of her family is worth giving up the show for.

    In a statement, she reveals,

“After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of Mistresses in Vancouver, Canada, for financial reasons. It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can’t relocate,” she wrote on her website.

Milano added, “I have two babies under four. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away.”

“I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best,” she said.

Alyssa Milano gave birth to her second child, a baby girl named Elizabella Dylan, earlier this month. Her and her husband are also parents to three-year-old Milo Thomas.

It really would be understandably hard to pick up and move her family.

Good luck to Alyssa Milano as she takes on a greater role at home!

  • Alyssa Milano Leaving ‘Mistresses,’ Choosing Family Over Career

Alyssa Milano has decided to leave her ABC hit television show, Mistresses, citing a desire to stay in Los Angeles rather than relocate to Vancouver, Canada, to shoot the show’s third season.

The actress made the announcement Wednesday via her website.

“After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of ‘Mistresses’ in Vancouver, Canada, for financial reasons. It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can’t relocate,” she wrote on her website.

It’s understandable that the mother of two would want to maintain some stability for her family, and it’s a courageous move considering the nature of the acting business.

“I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away,” said Milano, who gave birth to her second child earlier this month.

“I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best,” she said.

It is unclear what will happen to her character, Savannah “Savi” Davis, now that she’s departing the series.

Milano and husband David Bugliari are parents to daughter Elizabella Dylan, who was born Sept. 4, and three-year-old son Milo Thomas.

Milano is also known for her roles in Charmed, Melrose Place and Who’s the Boss?, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this month.

  • Alyssa Milano Leaving ABC Show ‘Mistresses’

Alyssa Milano is reportedly leaving the ABC hit show Mistresses, in which she has starred for two seasons. The show will be returning for a third season despite Milano’s departure. She shared word of her departure–as well as the reason behind it–via her website.

“After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of Mistresses in Vancouver, Canada, for financial reasons. It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can’t relocate,” she shared with her fans. “I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away. I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best.”

No word has emerged yet as to how the producers of Mistresses will handle Alyssa Milano’s character, Savannah ‘Savi’ Davis, given her recent announcement about not returning to the show.

Alyssa Milano and her her husband David Bugliari have a daughter named Elizabella, who was born just under a month ago on September 4th. They have a son named Milo Thomas, who is three.

In addition to having starred in Mistresses, Alyssa Milano is known for roles in Charmed and Melrose Place. She is probably best known for the sitcom she first starred in 30 years ago alongside Tony Danza–Who’s the Boss?

Are you a Mistresses fan? Are you bummed that Alyssa Milano is leaving the show? How do you think producers should handle her departure? Should they kill off Savannah Davis or should they replace her character with another actress instead?

  • Alyssa Milano Is Leaving ‘Mistresses’

    Alyssa Milano Is Leaving ‘Mistresses’

Just one day after ABC renewed Mistresses for a third season, Alyssa Milano announced that she will not be returning to the soap.

Milano revealed the news in a post on her personal website. According to the post, the production of the show, which was previously shot in Los Angeles, is being moved to Canada and Milano cannot and will not uproot herself from her family. She has two children and a husband and says that her family comes first.

“After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of Mistresses in Vancouver, Canada for financial reasons,” Milano explained.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can’t relocate. I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away.”

Milano finished her note by saying that she will miss her job and wishes everyone the very best. “I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best.”

Milano and her husband David Bugliari welcomed their second child, a daughter named Elizabeth, in early September. They already have one child, a son Milo, three.

It is still unclear if Milano’s role as Savannah “Savi” Davis will be recast or written out of the show.

  • Alyssa Milano Announces ‘Mistresses’ Departure

Alyssa Milano won’t be returning to Mistresses.

Although the ABC network just announced the show’s renewal on Monday Sept. 30, unfortunately, the former Who’s the Boss? star won’t be returning for the upcoming third season.

The 41-year-old actress posted an official announcement of her departure on her personal website. She revealed a number of important factors that contributed to her decision to leave the show.

The drama series’ new film location definitely poses a problem for Milano. For those who don’t know, she and her husband CAA agent David Bugliari welcomed their second child, a daughter named Elizabeth, on Sept. 4.

They also have a three-year-old son named Milo together. So, relocating is a bit of a complication with such small children. Since family comes first, Milano’s career is taking a backseat so she can focus on being a wife and mother.

“After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of Mistresses in Vancouver, Canada for financial reasons,” she wrote.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can’t relocate. I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away. I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best.”

Milano held one of the lead roles in the series, Savannah “Savi” Davis. So, her departure could mean big changes for the upcoming new season.

However, no further details have been released about the future of Milano’s character. So, fans will just have to wait and see whether Savannah will be written off or recast.

The upcoming third season of Mistresses will air some time next year.

Milano recently discussed the pressure of being a Hollywood actress and having to take off the baby weight immediately after giving birth. In an interview with Fit Pregnancy, she said, “A female body is not made to look good in a bikini. It’s made to give birth and have a baby and be a cozy companion for it afterward. And for my body, that meant putting on a lot of weight.” She added, “I didn’t indulge in fast food or junk food, so I knew it was a healthy weight. I just realized: This is what my body needs to do to have a healthy baby.”

  • Alyssa Milano and Hubby Expecting Second Child

Alyssa Milano and her husband David Bugliari are expecting their second child together. Their first son Milo is 2. It wasn’t too long ago that the Mistresses actress spoke with Access Hollywood and admitted that they had high hopes for having a second child, and that they were actively pursuing that hope.

“We are actively trying,” she said at the time.

The Who’s the Boss child star married David Bugliari in 2009. Following son Milo’s birth, she was the butt of an unkind comment about her post-pregnancy shape made by actor and comedian Jay Mohr.

“She was one of the presenters… She’s very tiny,” he said. “It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a s**t’ … I read it on her gut … Somebody sat in the director’s chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ.’”

    Milano responded without disdain, however.

“I just think he was trying to make a joke and not think about it, but I heard it actually on Christmas Day and it hurt me, I was affected by it and I wanted to remind him that I’m a human being and that this hurts,” she said.

Alyssa Milano looked phenomenal following Milo’s birth. Women everywhere would have been thrilled to have her “I don’t really give a s**t” body. Her focus is on far more important things, however, which now include the coming of a second child.

Milano also shared her exciting news on her own website.

“We are so happy to share with you that Milo is going to be a big brother,” she wrote.

Congratulations are definitely in order for Alyssa Milano and David Bugliari. A due date for baby number two has yet to be shared with the media.
