  • Julianne Hough, Brother Derek Not Returning for Season 22 of “Dancing With the Stars”

Julianne Hough has confirmed she won’t return as one of the judges on the upcoming 22nd season of Dancing With the Stars.

“I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing,” Julianne Hough says in a recent interview with People magazine. “The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family.”

Dancing With the Stars producer Rob Wade also spoke with People about Julianne Hough’s departure.

“Julianne will always be a part of the Dancing with the Stars family and we hope to see her back in the ballroom in the future,” he said.

Julianne Hough agrees it’s not “goodbye,” but “until we meet again,” instead.

“I promise it’s not the last you’ll see of me in the ballroom,” she says.

Julianne isn’t the only member of the Hough family not returning for season 22. Brother and pro dancer Derek Hough has confirmed he won’t be returning either. Derek was partnered with Bindi Irwin last season, and the two danced their way to that coveted mirror ball trophy.

So what will Derek Hough be up to if he isn’t coaching “stars” on Dancing With the Stars? He is starring on Broadway in a production of Singin’ in the Rain.

“Proud to be apart of another adventure with The Weinsten Company. #Broadway #singingintherainmusical #classic #2017,” he captioned an Instagram post just days ago.

Len Goodman is returning to Dancing With the Stars, and will replace Julianne Hough on the judge’s panel.

What’s your take on the upcoming absence of both Hough siblings on Dancing With the Stars?

Season 22 just won’t be the same without Derek and Julianne Hough.

  • “Dancing With the Stars” Awards Mirror Ball Trophy to Bindi Irwin, Derek Hough–Bindi Hopes Dad Steve Irwin is Proud

Dancing With the Stars crowned a new winner on Tuesday night, and she comes from the land down under. Bindi Irwin and pro partner Derek Hough danced away with that coveted mirror ball trophy.

Of her Dancing With the Stars win, Bindi Irwin said she hopes her late father, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, would be proud of this achievement.

“I couldn’t even imagine if [he] was here right now,” she told reporters following her big win. “Honestly, I hope that he’d be proud of me. And I hope that I am able to carry-on in his footsteps and make sure that his legacy lives on.”

“His strength is what keeps me going,” the new Dancing With the Stars champion added. “Life is filled with so many challenges and beautiful moments and to be able to share them with my family and the ones that you love the most. That’s what’s most important.”

Nick Carter and pro partner Sharna Burgess took second place in the Dancing With the Stars finale, with Alek Skarlatos and Witney Carson coming in third.

Dancing With the Stars will return for its 22nd season beginning on March 21st. Beloved judge Len Goodman announced during the finale that he is returning then.

Did you see Bindi Irwin win the mirror ball trophy on Tuesday night? She was favored to win this season of Dancing With the Stars from early in the competition.

  • Demi Moore Proud of Daughter Rumer Willis’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Win

Demi Moore is one proud mama. She watched daughter Rumer Willis, along with her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy, dance her way to the mirror ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday.

For many episodes of DWTS, it was a family affair for Rumer Willis, with Demi Moore, dad Bruce Willis, his wife Emma Heming, and more in the audience watching her perform.

Following the announcement of Rumer’s big win, Demi Moore took to Twitter to share her excitement and her pride.

Moore said she was “filled with love, pride and awe” for her daughter, as well as her pro partner, Val Chmerkovskiy.

The photo Demi tweeted was typical of Rumer’s ‘family affair.’

Demi Moore also shared a selfie taken with daughters–and Rumer Willis’s sisters–Scout and Tallulah Willis, as they cheered for Rumer and Val.

Demi Moore admits that when Rumer Willis first talked about competing on Dancing With the Stars, she had some doubts. She talked about how it made her feel, indicating her “insides … screaming ‘No.’”

It’s quite likely that Demi Moore is feeling much different about Rumer’s decision today.

“One of the most beautiful things I’ve witnessed is watching [Rumer’s] passion become greater than her fear,” Moore during a taped segment on DWTS as she reflected on Rumer’s time spent competing. “It has nothing to do with her being my kid or Bruce’s kid. It has everything to do with just who she is.”

Congratulations to Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy on winning this season of Dancing With the Stars–and to Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, too, for raising one incredibly talented daughter.

  • Nastia Liukin, Sasha Farber High ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Scorers in Derek Hough’s Absence

Nastia Liukin and Sasha Farber were the high scorers on Dancing With the Stars this week–even in light of Derek Hough’s absence on the dance floor. Hough is nursing a couple of injuries, so Farber filled in for the pro dancer.

“Derek’s definitely got some big shoes to fill…It’s not the best circumstance for me to step in,” Sasha said during an interview with E!.

Derek hasn’t taken complete leave of his Dancing With the Stars duties, however. He’s been choreographing their routines and was involved in the performance.

“It’s literally a team effort,” Sasha said. “I’ve been having so much fun, but I just hope he heals really quickly and gets back in the competition.”

Nastia Liukin and Sasha Farber received two tens and two nines for their routine, which was indeed the highest score of the week. Even though fans may want Derek Hough to hurry up and get back on the dance floor, Nastia Liukin told her pro partner to take it slow.

“We’re taking it day by day, and I think that’s really the only way you can really do it,” she said. “But he does have a busy summer, a busy year ahead of him, so I kind of told him, ‘Please don’t rush it. You have so much ahead of you.’ Obviously I would love to dance with him next week, but if he’s not ready enough to do that then we have Sasha, who has been absolutely amazing.”

Derek Hough is a lucky man. To have the full cooperation and support of Nastia Liukin must mean a lot to him. While some contestants would want their pro partner back at any cost, clearly Nastia has his future in mind as well.

As anyone who dances knows, an injury to a foot or ankle can be career-ending. Clearly Nastia Liukin doesn’t want this to happen to Derek Hough.

Do you think Nastia Liukin will win this season of DWTS? Can she score that mirror ball trophy without Derek Hough by her side on the dance floor?

  • Kym Johnson: Is She Dating ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Partner, Robert Herjavec?

Kym Johnson is paired with Shark Tank’s Robert Herjavec on this season of Dancing With the Stars, and now some sources say the pro dancer is engaging in a form of dance with Herjavec off the dance floor, too. One such source told People magazine that the two were spotted engaging in some perfect choreography–in the form of dating.

It was during an after party for the March 16th season premiere that Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec were reportedly “canoodling.”

“They came in holding hands and were caressing each other’s backs,” the source explained.

The pair arrived together, and “were having a good time and enjoying each others company,” a second source said during an interview with People.

It wasn’t long ago that Herjavec admitted he hit rock bottom last summer and even considered taking his own life after separating from his wife of 24 years.

“It’s been a terribly difficult year,” he said. “We were great parents and a great team, but over time we drifted apart.”

Eight hour days rehearsing for Dancing With the Stars–with Kym Johnson–seem to have helped him in more ways than one.

“Kym has become a great friend, and it is so much fun to be able to share this experience with her,” he said of his dance pro partner and purported love interest.

Does he hope to win the mirror ball trophy this season?

“I’m just super excited,” he admits, “because it’s a different experience, one that’s definitely out of my comfort zone.”

Do you suppose Kym Johnson will wind up being Robert Herjavec’s personal mirror ball trophy? Even if he doesn’t win Dancing With the Stars, might he leave the show with something even more important–a new lease on life with a new love?

  • Candace Cameron Bure Supporting Sadie Robertson

Candace Cameron Bure remembers what it was like to make a mistake while competing on Dancing With the Stars, so she has taken Sadie Robertson under her wing, and has offered up support to the young Duck Dynasty star. No, Candace didn’t win a mirror ball trophy, but she did well on the show. Now she’s hoping to see her young friend do the same.

Last week Sadie Robertson forgot of bit of the choreography during one of her performances. She really beat herself up for it after the show.

“So I had a little blackout Monday night and that never happens to me and I was texting [Candace]…she was so sweet about it and very helpful,” Sadie Robertson said during a recent interview.

Candace Cameron Bure told Sadie that she had experienced the same thing a few times while on Dancing With the Stars. She admits that helping Sadie cope during her times of stress makes her feel good.

Sadie has also become very close friends with Candace Cameron Bure’s daughter Natasha.

“Natasha is my age and so we’ve been hanging out a lot, she’s become one of my really good friends,” she says.

It must be heartwarming to both Sadie Robertson and her family to know that someone like the former Full House star is looking out for Sadie’s best interests. The families share the same strong Christian values, so there’s no question that Candace is providing Sadie with the same caliber of advice one of her parents might give.

Sadie Robertson has made it to the finals on Dancing With the Stars. Do you suppose Candace Cameron Bure and her daughter Natasha might be in the audience next week, watching Sadie as she competes for that mirror ball trophy?

  • Janel Parrish, Val Chmerkovskiy Share ‘DWTS’ Kiss

Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy shared a kiss on Dancing With the Stars this past Monday evening, to the delight of their fans. The kiss started out as part of America’s choice where viewers got to have a say in the routines. In this case they voted for Parrish and Chmerkovskiy to kiss at the end of the dance. Instead of a modest peck, however, Janel and Val’s kiss turned rather hot and heavy as the audience cheered on.

Hollywood Life reports that the two are definitely an item, and that their passion extends well beyond the dance floor.

If you missed Dancing With the Stars this past Monday, you can check out Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy’s performance–and that passionate on-air kiss–by watching this video clip.

Hollywood Life also says the two have been spending a lot of time together outside the show. They were photographed together on Halloween, and they were even together on her birthday when Val Chmerkovskiy gave Janel Parrish 26 balloons and a bouquet of flowers to mark the occasion.

Fans of Janel Parrish are not only excited about her kiss with Val Chmerkovskiy, however. They’re also excited Janel is returning to Pretty Little Liars.

Do you think once this season of Dancing With the Stars ends that the ‘romance’ between Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy will end as well, or will whatever is going on between them last far beyond the awarding of this season’s mirror ball trophy?
