Megan Hilty Pregnant With First Child

Megan Hilty of Smash and Sean Saves the World fame is pregnant with her first child. She and hubby Brian Gallagher are expecting their little bundle of joy in September.

The couple tied the knot this past November at the Venetian chapel in Las Vegas. They have been together for about two years. Hilty and Gallagher met at a fitness class when they were both on Broadway. Brian Gallagher is a musician.

Megan Hilty was excited to share word of their pregnancy via Twitter on Saturday, which just happened to be the actress’s 33rd birthday. That’s certainly an incredible birthday gift to receive–and one that she is definitely sharing with her husband, too. This gift no doubt made all the others pale quite significantly in comparison.

Brian Gallagher tweeted his own words of excitement about their baby-to-be.

Brian later shared a fun photo and special happy birthday tweet to Megan.

Megan Hilty says she hasn’t yet experienced any morning sickness, but that cravings are tempting her constantly.

“Everything I can’t have!” she says of her cravings. “I want sushi, tuna fish sandwiches, coffee and champagne.”

“I haven’t shopped for any baby things yet,” she adds. “But I have found some amazing maternity dresses for the summer.”

These days Megan Hilty and Brian Gallagher spend lots of time singing to their future son or daughter.

“This baby’s gonna be really sick of our voices by the time it arrives!” she says.

The baby will simply feel loved every time he or she hears Mom and Dad’s voice. Congratulations to Megan and Brian on their very exciting news.

  • Megan Hilty Dishes on Marriage, Honeymoon

Megan Hilty Dishes on Marriage, Honeymoon

Sean Saves the World star, Megan Hilty, recently spoke about her Las Vegas marriage to Brian Gallagher, saying that things haven’t changed all that much. But, with a smile she added, “I just get to introduce him as my husband now. I think other people treat us differently, than anything else.”

The intimate, Las Vegas wedding ceremony last month included Sean Saves the World costars Sean Hayes, Echo Kellum and Tom Lennon in attendance. Several weeks later, a three-hour reception was held at the Sherman Oaks house that Hilty and Gallagher have been renting, outside of L.A.

    As to why Vegas?

“I love Vegas,” she said, “And I love The Palazzo and The Venetian, so we got married in The Venetian and stayed there for the weekend. It was a very intimate setting, we had our parents and our siblings—he’s from New York and I’m from Seattle, so they met in Vegas.”

According to Hilty, the couple have yet to make definite honeymoon plans.

“I don’t know,” said Hilty. “We’re gonna go to New York next week, just to see New York at Christmas time. So maybe we’ll count that as our honeymoon?”

  • Megan Hilty Talks Married Life, Honeymoon

Megan Hilty is very clearly loving her new life as a married woman. The Sean Saves the World star married Brian Gallagher last month in Las Vegas, and now she says being a wife makes her “feel great.” The couple had a reception just last weekend to celebrate their nuptials, and while she says being married really isn’t very different from before, she does seem incredibly happy, and sources firmly believe it’s her newly married status that’s responsible for at least most of the smiles.

Hilty explained her reasons for getting married in Las Vegas during a recent interview.

“I love Vegas,” she said, “And I love The Palazzo and The Venetian, so we got married in The Venetian and stayed there for the weekend. It was a very intimate setting, we had our parents and our siblings—he’s from New York and I’m from Seattle, so they met in Vegas.”

As for a honeymoon, the couple doesn’t (at least as far as the media knows!) have any hard and fast plans.

“I don’t know. We’re gonna go to New York next week, just to see New York at Christmas time. So maybe we’ll count that as our honeymoon?”

Megan Hilty is loving her work on Sean Saves the World, and that was abundantly clear at her wedding. Sean Hayes and costars Echo Kellum and Tom Lennon were part of her big day. The Smash star plays a very different role on this new TV hit, and she truly shines as she lets her funny side show.

Sean Saves the World will likely outlive Smash, so Megan Hilty is probably guaranteed some more laughs (and gainful employment) for a while. NBC just recently ordered more scripts, so fans can look forward to more Megan.

Life is definitely good for Megan Hilty and Brian Gallagher. The New Year will no doubt bring this couple even more excitement and hopefully an abundance of new blessings.
