  • Meg Ryan & John Mellencamp Back Together?

Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp have reportedly reunited.

The couple, who dated for three years, reportedly split in August because John couldn’t handle the fame that came along with dating a famous actress.

“I don’t think he loved all the attention he got just from dating an actress,” John’s close friend said at the time of the break up. “I bet he’ll stay away from dating another famous person for a while.”

Another source told People that distance was the cause of their separation. “It was the distance,” the source said. “She lives in New York and he resides in Indiana. It was the long distance that ultimately was the cause.”

Whatever the reason, the couple has apparently put their issues and differences aside and have decided to give their relationship another go.

“They are back together and it’s brand new,” a Mellencamp source told People. “They’re really happy about it.”

The couple was most recently seen walking through Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, looking as comfortable as ever.

In September, Mellencamp spoke highly of Ryan, saying that “nothing’s over ’til it’s over.”

“I’m very happy with the time I’ve spent with Meg Ryan,” he told the Associated Press last month. “She’s a beautiful girl, and I know that I will never, ever, ever be with a funnier girl than her. Not gonna happen. I’m grateful for the three and a half years we’ve been together.”

Aside from their relationship, Ryan and Mellencamp both have big things happening in their careers. Mellencamp is currently getting ready to release his 22nd album, Plain Spoken, in November, and Ryan is working on her directorial debut, Ithaca.

  • Meg Ryan, John Mellencamp Reportedly Back Together

Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp are reportedly back together after splitting in August, and were seen walking through SoHo together earlier this month.

The couple spent a low-key three years together, much of which was out of the spotlight in accordance with their wishes. After news of their breakup spread around the web this summer, Mellencamp made it clear in interviews that he wasn’t ready to give up.

“Nothing’s over. I never say ‘die’ for anything. Do you ever quit on anything?” he said on the Today show.

Mellencamp has said that Ryan is an “angel”, calling her the funniest girl he will ever be with and saying he was very happy during their time together. So what was the problem? A “source” says it was mostly about the logistics of carrying a relationship when he lives in Indiana and she calls New York home.

“There were disagreements over style of life and logistical problems which clouded their relationship. But there is no doubt that he cares for her a great deal,” the source said.

Mellencamp has said that he can never see himself moving to New York.

“I’m too sensitive to live there,” he told Rolling Stone in December. “I can’t see poor people. I can’t see the suffering. I can’t see the trash on the streets.” As for the paparazzi, he says, “I don’t give a f**K about me, but I don’t like it for [Ryan]. I’m not leaving Indiana. I’m going to die here.”

One of Mellencamp’s most recent projects is a musical called The Ghost Brothers Of Darkland County, which he collaborated on with Stephen King. The supernatural show has been a big success for the duo after Mellencamp approached the horror writer with the idea.

“I wanted to try something that was a little bit risky, and something that was outside my comfort zone….this has been a real experience,” King said.

  • Meg Ryan & John Mellencamp: What Caused Their Break Up?

Actor Meg Ryan has split from her rocker boyfriend, John Mellencamp, after three years of dating. The couple reportedly called it quits earlier this month, said a friend of Mellencamp’s to Closer Weekly. Sources close to the couple claim that it was the long distance between them that contributed to the end of the relationship.

Ryan, 52, is based in New York, while Mellencamp, 62, lives in Indiana. While one source claims that it was the distance that “ultimately was the cause,” another friend close to Mellencamp revealed that another cause for the breakup could be the fact that he didn’t like the attention that came with dating Ryan, a Hollywood actress. “I bet he’ll stay away from dating another famous person for a while,” said the source to Closer Weekly.

Ryan’s ex-boyfriend has been candid before about his distaste for city life and his desire to stay in Indiana. He told Rolling Stone in 2013 that he was too sensitive to live in the city and see things such as trash on the streets. He said he would never leave Indiana. “I’m going to die here,” he said. His determination to stay in Indiana may not have left much room in the relationship for Ryan’s bustling life in New York.

The couple began dating in 2010 after Mellencamp split from his wife of 18 years, Elaine Irwin. Ryan and Mellencamp kept a low profile as a couple during their relationship, but were previously seen together on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard and running errands in SoHo in New York. People Magazine reported that they were last seen together in May.

E! News reported that Ryan and Mellencamp are focused on their respective projects now that their relationship has ended. Ryan is directing a film called Ithaca, a World War II drama that stars her former Sleepless In Seattle co-star Tom Hanks. Meanwhile, Mellencamp is releasing his 22nd album Plain Spoken in November.

  • Meg Ryan Reportedly Splits From John Mellencamp

Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp have reportedly ended their relationship after being together for three years.

Closer Weekly was the first to break the news when Mellencamp’s friend told the publication that the couple had split “a couple weeks ago.”

He explained that John couldn’t handle all of the attention he received from dating an actress, and decided to call it quits. “I don’t think he loved all the attention he got just from dating an actress,” the friend revealed. “I bet he’ll stay away from dating another famous person for a while.”

Another source said that the distance was the reason for the split. “It was the distance,” a source told People. “She lives in New York and he resides in Indiana. It was the long distance that ultimately was the cause.”

Mellencamp, who started dating Ryan after divorcing his wife of 18 years, has made it clear that he will not ever call New York his home. “I’m too sensitive to live there,” John told Rolling Stone. “I can’t see poor people. I can’t see the suffering. I can’t see the trash on the streets.” When it comes to paparazzi attention, he added, “I don’t like it for [Ryan]. “I’m not leaving Indiana. I’m going to die here.”

Both stars have plenty of work to keep them busy from focusing on their failed relationship. Mellencamp is currently getting ready to release his 22nd album, Plain Spoken, in November, and Ryan is working on her directorial debut, Ithaca.

  • Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp Reportedly Split

    John Mellencamp is single again!

For some reason, that doesn’t inspire the kind of reaction that it used to. Let’s try that again.

    Meg Ryan is single again!

That’s not much better, is it?

The Hoosier rocker with occasional jangly acoustic leanings is reportedly no longer dating the girl who used to be every guy’s girl-next-door fantasy before Sandra Bullock. It’s been a long time since Mellencamp was a sex symbol. And it’s been a long time since Meg Ryan was in a movie.

Meg Ryan was in one of those Hollywood marriages with Dennis Quaid until we found out she cheated with Russell Crowe. Sure, she said that Crowe was a cheater and all that, but somehow she ended up with the short end of the blame stick in that blowup. And Crowe walked away unscathed.

As for Mellencamp, he and wife Elaine Irwin divorced back in 2011. She was the model on the cover of his Whenever We Wanted album. That’s a good album. He’s been dating Meg Ryan ever since.

Inside sources — which are usually friends who aren’t really friends, or people who just make stuff up — say that the split is about the distance between the two. Mellencamp was born in Indiana, and he lives in Indiana, he’ll probably die in Indiana, and that’s probably where they’ll bury him. Hey.

Meg Ryan is a New York girl. Mellencamp does not want to move to New York. He’s seen it all in Indiana, had himself a ball in Indiana. Perhaps he should have stuck with that L.A. girl he brought in.

In any case, the long distance thing seems to have finally worn thin.

Meg Ryan, for her part, may actually have a new film coming. It’s called Ithica, and, in an astonishing move, she will star opposite Tom Hanks.

  • Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp Split?

Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp Split?

Meg Ryan and John Mellecamp have reportedly split up after more than three years of dating. Sources say Indiana is to blame. And even though that sounds like a catchy title to some future song lyrics–and may well be–it’s likely the absolute truth.

“It was the distance,” one source reports. “She lives in New York and he resides in Indiana. It was the long distance that ultimately was the cause.”

John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan started dating right before he filed for divorce from his wife of eighteen years, Elaine Irwin Mellencamp. Ryan and actor Dennis Quaid divorced following her affair from actor Russell Crowe.

But back to Indiana–where John Mellencamp has planted himself for good. It sounds like it really does play a huge role in his split from Meg Ryan, because he is determined to remain there, while her feet are pretty firmly planted on New York City soil. In fact, Mellencamp said just a few months ago that he was “too sensitive” for that city and its “poor people,” “trash” and “suffering.”

“I’m not leaving Indiana,” the singer said. “I’m going to die here.”

Neither Meg Ryan nor John Mellencamp’s publicists have made a statement about the split.

If you can’t remember the last time Meg Ryan appeared on the big screen, it’s because the last time was 2009. She is known for her work alongside Tom Hanks in films like You’ve Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle. She is set to star with Hanks yet again in a film she is also producing. Ithaca will premiere some time in 2015.

John Mellencamp has been hard at work on a musical production that is co-written by Stephen King. Called Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, the production begins touring in November, but Mellencamp isn’t part of the live show.

It sounds like absence didn’t make the heart grow fonder for Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp. In fact, it seemed to show them instead that they weren’t in love enough for one or both of them to make the change that seemed quite necessary to keep their relationship alive.

  • John Mellencamp, Meg Ryan Call It Quits After Three Years of Dating

John Mellencamp, Meg Ryan Call It Quits After Three Years of Dating

John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan have called it quits after three years of dating, reported Closer Weekly.

According to one of Mellencamp’s friends, the couple broke up “a couple of weeks ago.”

Since the two began dating sometime in late 2010, they have kept their relationship private, so it’s no surprise it’s been a few weeks since the two split with no word. The couple began their relationship following Mellencamp’s separation from his wife of 18 years, Elaine Irwin Mellencamp.

The Sleeping in Seattle actress and Mellencamp, 62, split their time between the East Coast and in Indiana, Mellencamp’s longtime home.

Opinions differ on why the couple broke-up.

“It was the distance,” a source told People magazine. “She lives in New York and he resides in Indiana. It was the long distance that ultimately was the cause.”

Mellencamp apparently didn’t take to the big city.

“I’m too sensitive to live there,” he told Rolling Stone in December. “I can’t see poor people. I can’t see the suffering. I can’t see the trash on the streets.” When it comes to paparazzi attention, he added, “I don’t like it for [Ryan]. “I’m not leaving Indiana. I’m going to die here.”

However, Mellencamp’s friend believed there were other, more personal reasons.

“I don’t think he loved all the attention he got just from dating an actress,” the friend told Closer Weekly. “I bet he’ll stay away from dating another famous person for a while.”

Ryan, 52, is currently directing Ithaca, an adaption of William Saroyan’s novel The Human Comedy. The last time the actress appeared before the camera was in 2009’s Serious Moonlight.

As for Mellencamp, he has a new album, Plain Spoken, slated for release next month.

  • Julia Roberts Reveals Why She Passed On ‘Sleepless in Seattle’

Julia Roberts is an amazing actress! There’s no denying her talent.

She’s best known for her stellar performances in notable films like Pretty Woman, Steel Magnolias, My Best Friend’s Wedding and Erin Brockovich. However, the 46-year-old actress recently revealed there was almost another popular film added to her long list of credits – Sleepless in Seattle.

During an interview with InStyle magazine, Roberts explained why she opted to pass on the starring role in the popular 1993 romantic-comedy film.

“I’d been offered Sleepless in Seattle, but couldn’t do it,” she said. “Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks are just such a jewel of a fit in that. I guess what they did for that moment in time is sort of what Richard [Gere] and I were doing across town, you know?”

The Ocean’s Eleven actress shared details about the film during a discussion about her alleged “lack of ambition.” Although she admitted she doesn’t see herself as extremely ambitious, she also explained why she doesn’t view any prospective role as a missed opportunity.

“I always feel like there is room for everybody,” she added. “I don’t consider myself really all that ambitious. When I didn’t get a part – even when I was younger and needing to pay my rent – I would think, ‘Oh, someone else got it. She’s going to be so good.’ I never felt sour grapes.”

Roberts went on to share a few details about her home life outside of the spotlight while revealing the one question she never wants to be asked again.

“The question I’d never want to be asked again is, ‘how do you do it all?’” she said. “Because (a) I’m not nearly as busy as people think. (b) Half of everything just doesn’t get done. As long as no one is in tears, nobody smells bad and everyone’s sleeping peacefully, I’ve done my job. And (c) I have a supportive group of girlfriends, a great husband and an understanding family. The rest gets done with grit, spit and a whole lot of duct tape.”

Julia Roberts‘ latest film The Normal Heart is scheduled to be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, August 26.

  • Meg Ryan Directorial Debut “Ithaca” To Feature Reunion With Tom Hanks

You loved them in You’ve Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle. Now Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks are teaming up once again. This time not as actor and actor, but as actor and director. It is now confirmed that Tom Hanks will have a role in Meg Ryan’s directorial debut, Ithaca.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hanks will have a cameo in the movie, which is based off of the William Saroyan’s 1943 novel, The Human Comedy. Described as a coming of age story about life on the home-front during World War II, the movie concerns a teenaged boy in California who delivers life-altering messages on bicycle in the course of the war. The script was adapted by Erik Jendresen, who worked with Hanks during Band of Brothers. Hanks is actually pulling double duty of actor (in the part of the main character’s father) and executive producer.

Relaxnews reported that Sam Shepard and Melanie Griffith will also appear in the movie. Although neither have the particular history with either Hanks or Ryan, both are sure to deliver good performances.

Although it’s been 16 years since their last movie, You’ve Got Mail, the two have been seen reuniting in public in recent years. Buzzfeed imagined the following amusing conversation between the two of them:

Tom: Hey Meg! Remember You’ve Got Mail? That was a fun movie, but sadly nowadays it’s barely relavant. Not because the film isn’t a masterpiece, but because people relate to tweets these days. We should remake the film and call it You’ve Got Tweets. Yes, this is one of my best ideas to date.
    Meg: I’m sorry I didn’t hear you.
Tom: I said, we should remake You’ve Got Mail into You’ve Got Tweets.
Meg: I CAN’T HEAR YOU. CAN’T YOU SEE MY HANDS IS BY MY EAR. IT’S VERY LOUD IN HERE.
Tom: I SAID, You’ve Got Tweets
    Meg: YOU’VE GOT BEETS?
    TOM: TWEETS.
MEG: NO THANK YOU, I’M NOT HUNGRY!

  • Mick Jagger Sings at L’Wren Scott Memorial

Mick Jagger honored his longtime love, L’Wren Scott, by singing a version of Bob Dylan’s Just Like a Woman at a memorial service for the fashion designer Friday.

The memorial service took place at St Bartholomew’s Church in Manhattan, New York, and featured a slew of celebrities and other notables.

“The most touching moment was when Mick sang the Bob Dylan song for L’Wren. The lyrics were so beautiful and so appropriate. It was deeply moving,” a source said.

“You take just like a woman. And you ache just like a woman. And you make love just like a woman. But you break just like a little girl,” Jagger, 70, sang during his rendition of Dylan song.

During the memorial, Jagger joined actresses Ellen Barkin and Sarah Jessica Parker in speaking about the fashion designer who took her own life in March, according to Jagger’s publicist, Vicki Scarfone.

Scott’s brother, Randy Bambrough, shared his own memories of his sister, and Scott’s niece, Hannah Bambrough, and Jagger’s son, James, read poetry.

Two of Jagger’s grandchildren, Mazie and Zak, read Psalm 23, while the iconic star’s longtime backup singer, Lisa Fischer, shared a rendition of Amazing Grace.

Others attendees included film directors Martin Scorsese and Baz Luhrmann, actresses Julianne Moore, Meg Ryan, Olivia Munn and Renee Zellweger, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, tennis star John McEnroe and former Vogue editor at large Andre Leon Talley.

“Everyone spoke that loved her. Everyone had their own beautiful memories of L’Wren. Mick Jagger spoke, Sarah Jessica Parker spoke, I spoke, Rachel Feinstein spoke, and all the grandkids and sons, they read scripture,” said Talley.

“The mood was beautiful, solemn, elegant. The mood was L’Wren. She would have approved of everything, the flowers, every single thing. It was brilliant.”

A small, private funeral took place in Los Angeles in March, after which she was cremated as per her wishes. Scott left her entire estate to Jagger.

Jagger and Scott – who’s high-end fashion label was a favorite among celebrities including Parker, Nicole Kidman, Tina Fey, and Michelle Obama – had been in a relationship since 2001.

Friday’s memorial service was followed by a reception.

  • L’Wren Scott Memorialized in Song by Mick Jagger

L’Wren Scott was memorialized in an emotional service on Friday in New York City at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Manhattan. Her boyfriend of 13 years, Mick Jagger, paid tribute to her by singing a solo of her favorite song–Just Like A Woman–during the memorial. The Bob Dylan song was a favorite of Scott’s.

The service also include very moving speeches given by Mick Jagger along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Ellen Barkin, and fashion personality Andre Leon Talley. Although Jagger broke down at one point he did his best to keep his stories as lighthearted as possible.

Among his lighter tales was one about L’Wren Scott’s complete unfamiliarity with most of the Rolling Stones’ hit songs. Jagger joked that she kept asking him throughout a show that featured the classic songs if Gimme Shelter was playing yet.

Mick Jagger’s son James Jagger read a poem at the memorial and his grandchildren Mazie and Zak, who referred to L’Wren Scott as “Glammy” read the 21st Psalm.

Notable celebrities in attendance included Keith Richards, Meg Ryan, Patty Smythe, Renee Zellweger, Martin Scorsese, John McEnroe, Julianne Moore, Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Vogue produced a short YouTube tribute to Scott following her passing.

L’Wren Scott committed suicide in her New York City apartment back on March 17th. She was 49 years old.

The memorial service was followed by a reception. Fans lined the streets as celebrities were arriving and leaving the service in an effort to snap some photos.

A small private funeral was held for L’Wren Scott back in March.

Hopefully Mick Jagger and those who loved the fashion designer can find some closure following her untimely tragic death and move forward with their lives. Suicide is probably the most difficult type of death for survivors to process as they are forever left with the question, “Why?”

  • Meg Ryan In For “How I Met Your Dad”, Develops NBC Pilot

Meg Ryan is making headlines this week after it was reported that she’ll have a role on the How I Met Your Mother spinoff How I Met Your Dad. The actress won’t appear on the show, however, but will instead voice Sally, who will be played by Greta Gerwig. Ryan will portray Sally in the future.

Gerwig commented on the How I Met Your Mother finale recently–which angered many fans–and said she actually wanted a different outcome for the characters.

“I wanted [Ted and Robin] to [end up together]! I’m such a schmaltzy person. It’s like, yes, I know that Annie Hall is the best ending of all time when they don’t end up together. But really, in my heart of hearts … I love in When Harry Met Sally when they end up together. I’m a little too corny for the sadder version,” she said.

Ryan is also set to star in and executive produce a show in development for NBC. The new series is being written by Marc Lawrence (Family Ties) and will see Ryan’s character–a single mother and former editor at a New York publishing house–return to her old job only to find that her former intern is now her boss.

Though Ryan has worked on several projects in recent years, she has kept her schedule open for the sake of her adopted daughter, Daisy. The duo were spotted out recently with Ryan’s beau, rocker John Mellencamp.

  • John Mellencamp Spotted Out With Girlfriend Meg Ryan

John Mellencamp was spotted out on a stroll recently with his girlfriend Meg Ryan and her daughter, 9-year old Daisy, in the Soho area of New York.

The heartland rocker and actress have been together for three years, but Mellencamp says he can’t see himself moving to New York; he’s an Indiana boy all the way.

“I’m too sensitive to live there,” he said in December. “I can’t see poor people. I can’t see the suffering. I can’t see the trash on the streets.” As for the paparazzi, he says, “I don’t give a f**K about me, but I don’t like it for [Ryan]. I’m not leaving Indiana. I’m going to die here.”

The native Hoosier recently announced a new tour that will begin in June and said last year that he’ll be working on his first new album in five years, collaborating with the legendary T-Bone Burnett.

“I just signed with Universal, so I’m back on a major label. I’ve got a notebook with 85 new songs that I’ve written for my next record. T Bone Burnett is going to come out to (my home in) Indiana sometime in early January and we’re gonna go into the studio for however long it takes to make a new album. I haven’t done one in five years.”

Mellencamp is making headlines this week after Republican Gov. Scott Walker used his song “Pink Houses” on the campaign trail without his consent; the singer is heavily pro-union and has crossed paths with Walker before for the use of his song “Small Town” two years ago. Walker ended collective bargaining for many workers in Wisconsin, something Mellencamp and many other celebrities fought against. Mellencamp’s publicist, Claire Mercuri, released a statement saying the musician is aware that Walker is using his songs and wants him to know that his views haven’t changed from two years ago.

“Nothing has changed since the last time Gov. Walker ran for election,” Mercuri said.

  • Meg Ryan To Produce And Star In NBC Sitcom

Meg Ryan is set to produce and star in a new NBC sitcom. The well-known actress has long been known for her romantic comedy films especially, and select others, but this will be the first time that she has starred in a television show. However, she did jump start her career with appearances on shows such as As The World Turns and Wildside.

It is also the first time that she has had the chance to work behind the camera, The series, which is currently in development, is being written by Marc Lawrence, who previously wrote the film Miss Congeniality and Michael J. Fox’s hit show, Family Ties. Lawrence teamed up with Ryan over the summer, and came up with the premise of the show together. As the star and producer of the show, she plans to have a lot of say in how the show will go, although it still has not been given a name.

Ryan has been very popular throughout her career, starring in hit films such as Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally and You’ve Got Mail, to name a few. Her last film, Serious Moonlight, was released in 2009, but you would have to go back pretty far to find a film of hers that was actually held in high regard and seen by very many people. She has been keeping a very low-profile as of recently, and living a quiet life with her boyfriend John Mellencamp and her eight-year-old daughter, Daisy.

On the show, Ryan will play Rose, a single mother who decides to return to her New York publishing house where she was once a successful editor. She returns to find that she is now forced to work for Brenda, her neurotic 30-year-old boss, who was originally her intern. She must find a way to balance things out and keep her boss, teenage kids, husband and mother-in-law all happy. This unsurprisingly results in her over-complicating every situation, as she continues to make things worse.

Ryan, at age 51, was forced to drift away from the spotlight after her affair and subsequent divorce from fellow actor Dennis Quaid. They were married for ten years, and it later came out that she had an affair with Russell Crowe.

  • Meg Ryan Liberated by Scandal, Living Quiet Life

Meg Ryan hasn’t been on the big screen for quite some time, and frankly, she likes it that way. After being the Hollywood queen of the RomCom, she has decided to leave Los Angeles and settle down into a quiet existence with her daughter, Daisy, who is 8, and her boyfriend, rocker John Mellencamp.

Well, as quiet as it gets, anyway. The paparazzi still consistently follow them around to get pictures of them, and, unfortunately, they probably always will.

In her interview with People magazine, Meg reveals the unexpected liberator that led to her decision. It was her affair with hunk Russell Crow, who she met on the set of the movie they worked together on, “Proof of Life”, in 2001. She was married to Dennis Quaid at the time, who is father to her son, Jack. This revelation broke up the already faltering marriage, wherein it turns out, both of them were allegedly being unfaithful.

She says to People that it was unbelievably hard to go from being America’s Sweetheart to the Scarlett Woman, but it was also incredibly liberating.

“So this is what it feels like to be the scarlet woman. Oh! I’m having that experience now!,” she told the magazine. “It was also incredibly liberating. Now I was utterly free. I didn’t have to care about what people thought. I have gotten to do what I guess I secretly wanted to do. Be totally under the radar and live my life.”

So, why New York City? “Los Angeles is just about movies. New York is about so much more than that, and so is Meg,” her friend, writer Delia Ephron told People. Hopefully Meg, John and Daisy can live that quiet life they hope for.

  • Meg Ryan Has Left The Spotlight For A Quieter Life

Meg Ryan left the spotlight and has not been seen in Hollywood in recent years, and she has finally come clean with her reason for doing so. She was featured on this week’s issue of People Magazine and told the story of where her life has turned, since exiting Hollywood’s spotlight. Once looked at as the one who appeared in almost every romantic comedy during a certain period, she now spends her time in New York being a mom.

She is certainly a well-known actress, appearing in major films such as Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, You’ve Got Mail and many others. She decided to leave that all behind and lead a much quieter life, after many years as the one who everyone watched in the big films. She simply felt overwhelmed and wanted to slow down the pace a bit. People Magazine had her as the feature story this week and in the article mentions how lately it is rare to find her in front of a camera and she does her best not to be recognized, whether she is vacationing at Martha’s Vineyard or simply hanging out in her neighborhood in downtown Manhattan.

The offers were still coming for her to work in film, but she just felt that she had enough of being in movies all of the time. Ryan, at 51, began to pull away from the spotlight after her divorce from fellow actor Dennis Quaid in 2001 after they were both unfaithful to each other, according to The Huffington Post. The couple had been married for 10 years and years later, she revealed that she had an affair with Russell Crowe on the set of Proof Of Life.

After retreating from the busy life that Hollywood kept her a part of, Ryan has chosen to spend the time as more of a family person and give more attention to her daughter Daisy, who is eight years old. She also lives with her boyfriend John Mellencamp, the rock and roll star, known for his hit “Jack and Diane.” Ryan’s friend and writer told People that living in New York makes you different and feels that Ryan is changing because of her move. She was also quoted saying “Los Angeles is just about movies. New York is about so much more than that, and so is Meg.”

Ryan left her life in Hollywood and decided to take things easy and good for her for doing so, too many of the celebrities in Hollywood simply have their lives displayed for all of the world to see and that is clearly not fair to them. After leaving that behind, she will be able to live a calmer live and spend more time with her family.
