MEDL Mobile, makers of the Hang W/ app that garnered 100,000 users in its first six weeks on iOS earlier this year, announced that the app is now available for Android.

A spokesperson for the company describes the app as “like a live video Twitter” that allows users to broadcast 3 minute live videos.

“Celebs are also jumping on it to deeper connect with their fans and all users will be paid a share of the ad revenue they bring in from their broadcasts,” the spokesperson says.

The publicly traded MEDL Mobile says Hang W/ has grown with over 1.3 million broadcasts and over 7.5 million user sessions on the iPhone in its first few months, and the company expects this to grow significantly now that it’s available for Android.

“The adoption we saw from the iPhone platform alone was incredible,” says CEO Andrew Maltin. “Now that Hang With is available for Android, we have the potential to reach nearly a billion more users.”

The app is currently available on Google Play.
