  • Matt Damon Gets Wheeled Off ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ After Being Smuggled On To The Show

Matt Damon may have lost the Best Actor Oscar this year to Leonardo DiCaprio, but he did succeed in appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! which has “banned” him for quite some time.

Fans of the ABC late-night talk show know that Damon and Kimmel have had a longstanding “feud” that began when Damon got a little too close to Kimmel’s former girlfriend, Sarah Silverman. Since then, the The Martian actor had been permanently forbidden to appear on the show, but that hasn’t stopped him from trying to get in.

Thanks to his best friend, Ben Affleck, who was scheduled to appear on Kimmel’s post-Oscars special last Sunday, Matt Damon was able to sneak in to the set, albeit indiscreetly. Affleck walked onto the stage wearing an oversized black winter coat and looking unusually bulky, to which Kimmel said, “I hate to say it, but you’ve ballooned.”

Despite Affleck’s protests, Kimmel started unbuttoning the coat and revealed a hidden Matt Damon curled up like a baby, looking quite sweaty and a little red-faced. The audience screamed in delight, but Jimmy Kimmel was having none of it.

While Affleck tried to reason with Kimmel, Matt Damon proceeded to sit on the guest coach and soaked in the adulation of the crowd. His appearance was short-lived, however, as Guillermo quickly wheeled him off the stage.

The faux feud between Kimmel and Damon have included some of the most entertaining pranks in recent TV history. Kimmel has constantly bumped Damon from the show and often ends an episode with the line: “Our apologies, Matt Damon; we ran out of time.”

Matt Damon Takes Over ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

In 2012, Kimmel cut out Damon’s scenes from an Oscars parody film he made called “Movie: The Movie,” causing the actor to furiously storm out of the studio. But Damon got back at Kimmel through the comedian’s then-girlfriend, Sarah Silverman – together they made a music video entitled, “I’m F—ing Matt Damon.” Finally, Matt Damon ambushed Jimmy Kimmel’s show in 2013 during which he gagged Kimmel and kept him bound to an office chair for almost the entire episode.

  • Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner Together for First Time Since Her Revealing Interview–Ben Dresses as Batman for Son’s Birthday Party

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were together on Saturday for the first time since her revealing interview, in which she divulged she knew Ben Affleck cheated on her with nanny Christine Ouzounian–but that the nanny wasn’t the cause of their divorce.

“Let me just tell you something. We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation,” Garner said in a recent interview. “Bad judgment? Yes. It’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives.”

Jennifer Garner admitted she’s “had to have conversations,” with the couple’s three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, “about the meaning of ‘scandal.’”

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck presented a united front at their son Samuel’s fourth birthday party. The party theme was “superheroes,” and Ben Affleck stepped up to the plate to bring the theme to life. Affleck dressed up as Batman for the festivities.

“He wanted a superhero birthday party and he wanted superheroes there, and I was like, ‘Alright, what heroes do you want?’ He’s ticking off heroes and he was like, ‘I want you to do Batman…real Batman!’” Ben Affleck said while chatting with Jimmy Kimmel during his post-Oscars special on Sunday night.

Ben Affleck allegedly brought a “gift” to Jimmy Kimmel prior to that interview, when he smuggled Matt Damon onto the show.

Both Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck attended the Oscars–however they didn’t attend together.

Despite the scandal that has rocked their lives, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner truly seem to put their children’s well-being ahead of all else.

Kudos to Ben Affleck for swallowing his pride and dressing up like Batman for son Samuel’s fourth birthday. That is no doubt something their little boy will never forget.

  • Matt Damon To Leo DiCaprio: This Is How You Make A Movie

Matt Damon used the podium at the Director’s Guild Awards to poke a little fun at his co-nominee for Best Actor at this year’s Academy Awards, Leonardo DiCaprio.

Matt Damon said, “Every night at six o’clock, the horn blew and Ridley [Scott] and I went to dinner. And that’s how you make a movie, and we finished the film really early and we saved two million bucks. And Leo – we weren’t cold at all. I’m just sayin’. There’s another way to do it.”

Matt Damon was referring to the dangerous and harsh conditions Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as the cast and crew, endured while filming The Revenant.

The Revenant was filmed in cold and snow-covered Canadian wilderness. DiCaprio, a strict vegan, even had to eat raw liver for the role.

Solve one problem, then the next. If you solve enough problems, you get to come home. #MotivationMonday #TheMartian

Matt Damon’s filming situation for The Martian was definitely more comfortable.

While Matt Damon seemed to have had an easy time filming The Martian, he is struggling a little to get his new movie, The Great Wall, to the big screen.

It was originally set to open this November, but has been rescheduled for President’s Day weekend 2017.

The Great Wall, which stars Matt Damon, Pedro Pascal, Tian Jing, Andy Lau and Willem Dafoe will be directed by House of Flying Daggers‘ Zhang Yimou.

While Matt Damon’s comments to Leonardo DiCaprio seemed mean, DiCaprio and The Revenant‘s director, Alejandro González Iñárritu, reportedly laughed along with him.

What do you think about Matt Damon’s comparative comments?

  • Leonardo DiCaprio Takes Home Best Actor Award at BAFTAs

Leonardo DiCaprio is having quite a year where awards and nominations are concerned. This weekend he was named best actor at the BAFTAs in London for his role in The Revenant.

During his acceptance speech at London’s Royal Opera House, Leonardo DiCaprio thanked his mother, as well as others in the business.

“As an actor I’ve been influenced by so many British actors. I want to thank one particular British actor and that is Mr Tom Hardy,” he said.

“Of course, Alejandro, thank you for becoming a great friend,” he added, lauding the director of The Revenant, Alejandro G. Inarritu.

Leonardo DiCaprio beat out Brit Eddie Redmayne, who was nominated for his role in The Danish Girl. He also beat out Michael Fassbender, Matt Damon, and Bryan Cranston.

The award for best actor wasn’t DiCaprio’s only honor at the BAFTAs. His film, The Revenant, was named best film, with Alejandro G. Inarritu receiving the award for best director.

Leonardo DiCaprio was a big winner at last month’s Golden Globes, too, and is favored to win big at the upcoming Oscars.

Have you yet checked out The Revenant, starring Leonardo DiCaprio? If so, it likely doesn’t surprise you to learn he is winning all these prestigious awards.

  • Matt Damon Talks Oscars’ “Shameful” Lack of Diversity

Oscar-nominated actor Matt Damon has spoken out about the controversy surrounding the Academy Awards and its lack of diversity among nominated actors and actresses.

“You know, it’s shameful and embarrassing. There’s two years in a row that there are no people of color nominated. That’s insane,” he told US Weekly.

“We’re talking about huge systemic injustices around race and gender that are a lot bigger than the Oscars,” Damon said. “They’re massive issues in our industry and in our country.”

This year’s Oscar nominations, which feature all-white actors for Best Actor, Best Actress, Supporting Actor, and Supporting Actress, sparked controversy and has led to protests and boycotts.

Actress Jada Pinkett Smith and director Spike Lee have announced they will boycott the ceremony.

Matt Damon was nominated for Best Actor for his role in The Martian.

Earlier this week, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced a goal to double its women and minority members by 2020.

“The Academy is going to lead and not wait for the industry to catch up,” said Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs. “These new measures regarding governance and voting will have an immediate impact and begin the process of significantly changing our membership composition.”

Damon thinks this is a good first step, but the Academy has to do “much, much, much more.”

  • Matt Damon Addresses Clean Water Issue–Including Flint, Michigan–at Sundance Film Festival

Matt Damon utilized the stage at the Sundance Film Festival–not solely to tout his acting–but instead to address the issue of clean water.

Along with Gary White, Matt Damon founded Water.org, a nonprofit that aims to provide clean water in impoverished nations all over the globe. He is incensed about the water issue in Flint, Michigan.

“Imagine this outrage we feel about Flint–this justified outrage, I should say, because that should never happen in the United States of America, ever,” he said in an interview with The Associated Press. “But there are people for whom life is such a desperate struggle, that they’re faced every day with the choice of giving their children dirty water or no water at all.”

Gary White and Matt Damon introduced their partnership with beer maker Stella Artois to announce the “Buy A Lady A Drink” campaign. The company is introducing a limited-edition collection of decorated glass chalices. Each one represents water-poor countries such as Ethiopia, Haiti, India and Honduras. The cost of each $13 goblet will provide a woman in one of these countries with five years worth of clean water.

Matt Damon went on to say the issue in Flint shows how awful life without clean water is. He recalled a trip to Ethiopia a few years back where he saw children filling water bottles, and that water was the color of chocolate milk.

“I have four daughters,” Damon said. “When you start having kids, it’s hard not to see other kids as your own … It’s incumbent upon me to do whatever I can within my sphere of influence to help.”

Kudos to Matt Damon and Gary White for their work with Water.org. Hopefully their influence can affect lives in Flint, Michigan, where the need for safe, clean drinking water is hitting so much closer to home.

  • Alicia Vikander Shared PDA With Beau Michael Fassbender at Golden Globes, Called It An Early Evening

Alicia Vikander was spotted sharing a bit of PDA with beau Michael Fassbender at Sunday’s Golden Globes. The star of The Danish Girl caressed him warmly when he was named as one of the nominees for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama–for his work in Steve Jobs. Usually very private and quite reserved, this modest PDA was a big thing coming from Alicia Vikander.

There was little to no partying for Alicia Vikander, even though after-parties were countless. Sources told Page Six she was being picked up by a car at 2:30 a.m. to be driven to Las Vegas.

Alicia Vikander is starring in the as yet unnamed next installment of the Bourne film franchise, alongside one of the evening’s big winners, Matt Damon.

“She’s going to be sleeping in the car,” a source told Page Six of the actress.

Matt Damon won the Golden Globe for his role for Best Actor in a Comedy for The Martian.

Do you suppose he is excited to star opposite Alicia Vikander in the next Bourne film?

Do you expect Matt Damon had to catch a 2:30 a.m. ride to Vegas for a set call–or because he’s the head honcho, was he allowed to party a bit following the Golden Globes instead?

  • Matt Damon Says ‘Martian’ Director Ridley Scott Deserves Oscar Nod Before He Does

Matt Damon, star of the critically acclaimed film The Martian, says director Ridley Scott deserves an Oscar nomination for his work on the film before he does.

Many consider Damon a frontrunner for a best actor Oscar nomination for his work in The Martian, but the Oscar-winning actor says there are others more deserving of an Oscar nod.

“Honest to God, there are other performances I would give it to,” Damon said on Wednesday’s Today show when asked about the possibility of winning a best actor Oscar for The Martian.

Damon seems more concerned that Ridley Scott, acclaimed for his work on such films as Alien and Gladiator, has yet to win an Academy Award.

“I’m much more interested in the director race this year,” Damon said, noting that he thought Scott had received an Oscar when Gladiator won best picture but he didn’t because he wasn’t a producer on the film.

“Our awards are all diminished until he wins one,” Damon graciously said of Scott.

Ridley Scott joined Damon on the Today show interview and said he is also hoping to finally win an Oscar. He noted that he knows exactly what he’ll tell the coveted trophy if he does succeed in finally winning.

“If I ever get it I’ll say, ‘Where have you been?’” laughed Scott.

  • Best Movies of 2015 Mix of Children’s, Action Films, and More

The best movies of 2015 comprise an eclectic list. “Best,” of course, is relative. NDTV.com made a list of what they consider the best movies of 2015, and it includes children’s films, action flicks, and more.

NDTV chose 10 films for their best movies of 2015 list–and they admit the list is surprising. See if you’ve watched any they deem among the year’s best.

Ant-Man: Dubbed the “smallest big film of the year,” Ant-Man made the list because of Paul Rudd and some impressive cinematography.

“The film was full of plot holes and inconsistent science, but none of that mattered because everyone in the cinema was having so much fun,” NDTV writes.

Inside Out: This Pixar film is about feelings that have feelings. It appeals–as most Pixar films do–to adults as well as the children for which it was written.

Mad Max: Fury Road: Stunning visuals, amazing scenery, and Charlize Theron took this film with a two-hour long chase scene to new heights, making it worthy of the best movies of 2015 listing.

The Martian: Even though NDTV says it’s “slow,” they also write it’s “surprisingly accessible and highly enjoyable.” It also stars Matt Damon. Enough said?

Jurassic World: Already a contender for an Oscar for best visual effects, the only film to trump this one in box office sales is Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Besides, who doesn’t love Chris Pratt?

Minions: They’re yellow, and they look like giant Twinkies with eyes–but that’s not enough to leave them off the best movies of 2015 list, and NDTV agrees. They do warn viewers not to take them too seriously, however. Who takes a yellow creature that looks like a Twinkie with eyes seriously? Really?

Good Dinosaur: Yet another offering from Pixar for 2015, it doesn’t boast the hype of Inside Out, but is one of the most “gorgeous animated movies” the good people at NDTV have ever seen.

Ex Machina: Starring Alicia Vikander of The Danish Girl, Ex Machina raises questions about transhumanism without requiring viewers to learn a whole new vocabulary.

Chappie: Classified as a film you’ll either really love or really hate, Chappie features rappers Die Antwoord. NDTV says give it a chance, and since it made their best movies of 2015 list, someone must have done just that.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens: This one needs no explanation. It grossed more than any other film that opened Christmas weekend–even trumping Jurassic Park.

Would you place any of these films on your best movies of 2015 list?

There are many lists boasting the year’s best. As previously stated, “best” is relative. Do you agree?

  • Jennifer Garner Ruined Her Marriage Even Before Ben Affleck and The Nanny, Matt Damon Allegedly Says

According to Matt Damon, the marriage of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner had been nearly over even before Affleck cheated on her.

Sources told OK Magazine that Garner also had her share in ruining their marriage, and Damon believes that Affleck is better off with another woman.

“Matt believes Ben’s marriage was in shambles way before the nanny; there was too much anger there. If she had just loosened up a bit, things would have been different.” Apparently, Affleck affair with their kids’ nanny, Christine Ouzounian, was just part of their marital issues and had been the last straw that led to the split.

But despite their rumored miserable separation and upcoming divorce, Garner and Affleck still continue with their co-parenting.

Previously, reports said that Garner wanted Affleck out of their house, but recently, sources said they are still spending time together at their family home.

“Nothing has changed,” a source told PEOPLE.

The source added that while Affleck is no longer living in the main house, he is staying at a rental home nearby, making it easier for him to see Garner and the kids.

In fact, Garner and Affleck went to church service last Sunday with their kids, Samuel, Violet, and Seraphina. They were also seen shopping in a local farmers market on the same day after which they also had dinner together.

“They are working together and are keeping it amicable,” another source close to the couple previously told PEOPLE. “This is something they have been working on for over a year – and they continue to be strong unit.”

Although things might have been nasty between them after the cheating scandal broke out, Garner and Affleck continue to remain friendly not just for the children but for themselves as well.

“It’s not just for the kids – it’s also for them,” a source adds. “They care about each other.”

  • Ben Affleck “Is Good”, Says Matt Damon

Ben Affleck “Is Good”, Says Matt Damon

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have made countless headlines in recent weeks due to the accusations that Ben had an affair with their nanny, but neither have commented publicly about the affair or their impending divorce. However, Affleck’s bestie Matt Damon said in a recent interview that Ben is doing well, and made some pointed remarks about how to make a marriage work.

“I think marriage is insane. It’s a crazy idea but I love being married to my wife. So I wouldn’t tell anybody else about their relationship. But I’m lucky I found my wife. And I guess maybe, if there’s any secret … it’s to feel lucky,” Matt said. “So much of it is out of your hands. I mean, I just had that conversation with my father this weekend. He says the same thing to me. Says it’s God’s grace, is what he said. Because you just don’t get lucky.”

Ben was photographed last month having a late-night rendezvous with Christine Ouzounian, the woman hired by the couple to care for their children, and while the photo doesn’t show anything damning, it does suggest that the duo were accustomed to such meet-ups. Rumors have flown around the web that Jennifer Garner discovered the affair months ago and fired Ouzounian, who hasn’t been shy on social media since her name began showing up in headlines.

Damon talked a bit about Ben’s birthday–which was on the 15th–and said it wasn’t a big deal, and he and Affleck hadn’t been able to get together for it.

“I was in Boston with my family actually. It was kind of a meaningless, it was 43 you know? It wasn’t that big. I think he was actually in Atlanta with his family. So we missed each other but…he’s good. He’s good.”

  • Jessica Chastain Intrigues In New Clip From “The Martian”

Jessica Chastain, in her new role as astronaut Melissa Lewis, is absolutely one tough cookie.

In a new clip for The Martian, Jessica Chastain quietly and definitively shuts down some sexism thrown her way during a psychological interview.

The interview is the focus of the new clip, and features Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon and Sebastian Stan, among others.

They all had to spend 10 days in isolation as a preparation for life on the Ares 3.

    Watch the clip:

As quickly as Jessica Chastain shuts down the line of ridiculous questioning, Matt Damon confuses with a question about why Aquaman can control whales.

There was talk last month about the joke Jessica Chastain made way back in September of 2013 about the possibility of falling in love with her gorgeous co-star, Charlie Hunnam, before they started filming Crimson Peak.

However, that did not happen, as Jessica Chastain declared at this year’s Comic-Con.

Jessica Chastain announced, “I did not fall in love with Charlie, press out!”

She then added, “I do love him, but I’m not in love with him.”

Jessica Chastain later told of a gift that Charlie Hunnam bought her for her birthday and how “cool” he is.

Jessica Chastain said he is “absolutely gorgeous” and “so nice.”

She continued, “He bought me this incredible thoughtful birthday present, this amazing artist and this book of photographs. He’s just this normal down-to-earth [guy]. So cool.”

Makes one wonder if Jessica Chastain faced the same “temptation” working with Sebastian Stan or Matt Damon…

Probably not. In reality, Jessica Chastain is enjoying a long-term relationship with handsome Italian fashion exec Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, and he’s plenty to look at.

What do you think of the new clip starring Jessica Chastain? Are you excited to see The Martian?

  • Angelina Jolie Praised by Aid Workers; Other Celebs Not So Much

Angelina Jolie knows her stuff, but some other Hollywood names may not.

In a recent Guardian article, an unnamed aid worker relates horror stories of celebrities rushing to war-torn or disaster-torn areas of the world, bent on using their name and reach to help draw attention to the plight of the locals in need.

Jolie has been appointed as Special Envoy of UN High Commission for Refugees. Prior to that, Jolie had made “more than 40 field visits around the world, becoming well-versed in the phenomenon of forced displacement and a tireless advocate on their behalf.”

Sometimes other celebrity visits end up causing more trouble than some aid workers think they are worth. The worker relates the travails of “spending hours tracking down European bottled mineral water for a British soap actress for every stage of her African tour.”

In some cases, the visits from A-list celebs created such a fuss that it put the aid workers there in worse conditions than before. One example was when Christina Aguilera visited Haiti.

“In Haiti, in the UN base where most of the first responders lived, one agency outraged the entire base by taking over the only air conditioned tent – in which some slept due to the sauna-like conditions in the accommodation area – to host a cocktail reception for Christina Aguilera.”

While Sean Penn and Matt Damon were given the “meh” treatment by aid workers, Angelina Jolie is praised highly.

“She knew more about refugees, and had been to more places than I had,” one worker said of Jolie. “She had her own cameraman, so all I had to do was find the locations and the refugees.” Another said: “I was impressed with her in Haiti, in Jordan and in Sri Lanka. She left experts speechless every time.”

Angelina Jolie has spoken before the U.N. regarding the plight of Syrians, drawing from her personal experiences there.

“I wish that some of the Syrians I have met could be here today,” Jolie told the U.N last year. “Any one of the Syrians I have met would speak more eloquently about the conflict than I ever could. Nearly four million Syrian refugees are victims of a conflict they have no part in. Yet they are stigmatized, unwanted, and regarded as a burden.”

Another celeb praised by workers is David Beckham. He did not ask for hard-to-get bottled water brands or specific clothing items. He only wanted to play soccer with local kids for an evening.

  • Matt Damon and Ben Affleck To Bring FIFA Scandal to Big Screen

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are set to produce a film based on Houses of Deceit–an upcoming book highlighting the scandal within the international governing body of soccer. Warner Bros. just acquired rights to the film.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Gavin O’Connor, who just wrapped filming The Accountant, starring Ben Affleck, is on board to direct the FIFA movie, too.

The upcoming book, written by Ken Bensinger, will expand upon the author’s 2014 report about Chuck Blazer. Blazer is the American FIFA exec who not only helped popularize the sport in the U.S., but also admitted to accepting bribes and kickbacks amounting to millions over the course of his career.

Making this film will serve as a reunion of sorts for Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The two will forever be known as the Good Will Hunting boys. The 1997 film that also starred the late Robin Williams made Matt Damon and Ben Affleck household names.

So what have Affleck and Damon been up to since then? Career-wise they’ve stayed prominently visible for the nearly 20 years since Good Will Hunting–which is exceptional in the film world.

Ben Affleck will soon appear in The Accountant, which hits theaters in January, as well as Batman v. Superman (he plays Batman), which premieres in March.

Matt Damon is best known for his work on the Bourne franchise. He will appear on the big screen in The Martian in October, and once again alongside Julia Stiles as Jason Bourne in July of 2016.

Are you excited to learn that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck will soon be back together again as they prepare to work on this film about the FIFA scandal? They will no doubt add passion and intrigue to this facet of the sports world.

  • Julia Stiles To Return For “Bourne 5”, Says She Was Supposed To Die In The First Movie

Julia Stiles has confirmed that she will be reprising her role as Nicki Parsons for the next installment in the Bourne Identity franchise.

The movie, which is being called Bourne 5 for now, already has Matt Damon on board.

Julia Stiles will again be working with Paul Greengrass, who is writing the screenplay with Christopher Rouse. Frank Marshall will produce alongside Jeffrey Weiner.

It’s great for Julia Stiles to be able to come back for the fifth Bourne movie, especially since she recently revealed that she was supposed to die in the first one!

Julia Stiles said, “I was really lucky. Originally I was going to be killed in the first film. I was flipped up against a wall and my neck snapped, but they cut it together in a different way so I survived, which was lucky for me.”

Thanks, @Pureology_uk and @LORAC_cosmetics! You really make a lady feel like a lady.

Julia Stiles has also been busy with other projects of late.

She will also be seen in Beyond Deceit with Al Pacino and Go With Me with Anthony Hopkins.

Julia Stiles has recently found some excitement in working on a new supernatural film set in South America called Out of the Dark.

Julia Stiles revealed that, among other benefits, she got to practice her Spanish.

She said, “I nearly minored in Latin American Studies at college. I speak Spanish and part of the allure of going to Colombia was to be able to work in Spanish.”

She added, “The director would direct me in Spanish and I’d sometimes translate for the English-speaking actors.”

Are you excited to see Matt Damon and Julia Stiles in the latest Bourne film?

  • Julia Stiles, Matt Damon Ready for ‘Bourne 5’

Julia Stiles and Matt Damon are reportedly both in for the filming of the next in the series of the Bourne spy franchise films. Tentatively called Bourne 5, Nicky Parsons and Jason Bourne are back with these actor’s reprisals.

Alongside Matt Damon, Julia Stiles starred in The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum. Neither appeared in The Bourne Legacy. Paul Greengrass, who directed both Supremacy and Ultimatum, is coming back to direct Bourne 5.

Julia Stiles’ portrayal of Nicky Parsons serves as one of the major links connecting the original three Bourne movies. It makes perfect sense for her to continue playing a role in this next chapter. Nicky has deep knowledge of Jason Bourne’s psychological issues, and this knowledge would likely come into play during the Bourne 5 narrative–as featured in the script that Greengrass and Damon have written alongside Paul Greengrass’s longtime editor, Christopher Rouse.

It’s possible that Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen will join Matt Damon and Julia Stiles in Bourne 5. He’s purportedly being eyed for the role of the film’s villain. Alicia Vikander of Ex Machina fame is as possibility in a key role as well.

Regardless of the other players, Matt Damon and Julia Stiles are said to be a done deal. Filming is set to begin next month with Bourne 5 scheduled to hit theaters in July of 2016.

Are you excited to learn that Julia Stiles and Matt Damon will soon reprise their Bourne roles?

  • Julia Stiles Reprising Her Nicky Parsons Role In “Bourne 5”

Julia Stiles is reportedly the lastest actor to come onboard for the next installment in The Bourne Identity franchise.

Julia Stiles will reprise her role as covert agent turned accomplice Nicky Parsons.

The only other star to confirm involvement in what is temporarily being called Bourne 5 is Matt Damon.

However, it is rumored that Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen might be signing on to join Julia Stiles and Matt Damon in a villain role.

Mortensen has generally stuck to independent-type movies, so this could be his biggest role since Aragorn, should he take it.

Thanks, @Pureology_uk and @LORAC_cosmetics! You really make a lady feel like a lady.

A photo posted by @missjuliastiles on

Rumor has it that Joan Allen could possibly return. It has also been said that Ex Machina star Alicia Vikander was being offered a part.

What we do know is that Paul Greengrass is returning to write the screenplay with Christopher Rouse and that Frank Marshall and Jeffery Weiner will produce again for Bourne 5.

This will be yet another massive boost for Universal, which saw huge success recently with Jurassic World.

This isn’t Julia Stiles’ only project right now, though it does seem like we haven’t seen her in a while.

Shameless Self Promotion Alert! For all my bros and hoes in the UK, "Blue" premieres March 1rst.

Julia Stiles will also be appearing soon in Beyond Deceit with Al Pacino and Go With Me with Anthony Hopkins. Not too shabby.

In my mind, Julia Stiles is still playing this role:

Are you excited to see Julia Stiles and Matt Damon team up again in the upcoming Bourne sequel?

  • Matt Damon Shooting New Film in Massachusetts

Matt Damon is back in Massachusetts. This time’s the Bourne actor is producing a new film on the North Shore. Several areas in Beverly, Massachusetts served as the backdrop for filming Manchester-By-The-Sea, which stars Casey Affleck.

The Salem News reports that some of the filming will actually take place in Manchester-By-The-Sea, as well as in Gloucester and Salem. Last week saw several spots in Beverly getting the Hollywood treatment.

On Tuesday, three spots in Beverly were featured in the filming. Cast and crew were spotted in the Central Cemetery on Hale Street, along Lothrop Street by Washington Street, and inside a funeral home on Cabot Street.

The film is about Lee Chandler, who is played by Casey Affleck, as he is made the legal guardian of his nephew following the sudden death of his brother Joe, who is played by Kyle Chandler. Lee is then forced to deal with a tragic past that separated him from his wife Randi, who is played by Michelle Williams, and the community in which he was born and raised.

Matt Damon is, of course, an actor–as well as a screenwriter and producer–from Cambridge, Massachusetts. He grew up alongside Cambridge native Ben Affleck, and the two got their start in the film industry in Good Will Hunting, in which they starred along with the late Robin Williams. Neither Ben Affleck nor Matt Damon has ever lost sight of their roots, and return to Massachusetts often–for work and for play.

Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Steven Tyler, Chris Evans and John Krasinski brought out their best native Boston accents for a skit in support of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady after his team was accused of deflating balls prior to their AFC Championship win.

Each of the famous Boston sons pretended to be the locker room attendant, who many think is behind “deflate-gate,” in a Jimmy Kimmel Live sketch.

“I am the locker room guy,” each claims before giving their “reasons” for deflating the footballs.

“When there’s a high-profile crime, all of a sudden a bunch of people come forward and claim they did it, like when the Lindbergh baby was kidnapped, there was a group — a bunch of people confessed. Same with the Black Dahlia murders,” said Kimmel, introducing the spoof.

“So I go and I take a football,” said Matt Damon, saying his reason was to help his sick nephew’s bronchitis. “I don’t want to squeeze all the air into his little lungs because, you know, I don’t want to ruin the football, so I just take a little bit of air out of ’em, like 11 out of 12 of them, and it does the trick, it absolutely saves his lungs.”

John Krasinski said he was the guy, and blames his actions on a Goodyear Blimp accident.

“I start sucking air out of the regulation balls in order to save those people’s lives,” said John Krasinski. “I saved 17 people’s lives. Tom Brady had nothing to do with it. But let me tell you something — if he did, he would have done the exact same thing. Because he’s a godd**n hero.”

  • Matt Damon To Shrink In Size For New Role

Damon is also set to star in Ridley Scott’s upcoming science fiction movie The Martian about an astronaut who gets stranded on Mars and struggles to survive. Also starring in The Martian are Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, and Kristen Wiig.

In September, it was revealed that Damon would take another turn, his fourth, as Jason Bourne. Universal also signed director Paul Greengrass to the project, who worked with Damon on The Bourne Ultimatum and The Bourne Supremacy. The action film should be ready for release in July 2016.

In what may be Bourne-overload at the box office next summer, Jeremy Renner’s spinoff sequel The Bourne Betrayal, is also slated for a July 2016 release. Can Universal pull off two Bourne movies in one month?

  • Matt Damon Finally Talks Robin Williams’ Death

The death of Robin Williams shocked the world and it seemed like everyone who knew him wanted to talk about him, share funny stories and special memories. Matt Damon had a close relationship with Robin Williams but remained fairly quiet after his death.

He recently opened up about Williams and how he touched his life and started his career.

“Ben [Affleck] and I owe everything to him,” Damon, 43, told Us Weekly. “He said yes to our movie and he got it made. I could never thank him enough. I look around at the life I have and how blessed I feel and so much of it started with him.”

Damon and Affleck worked with Williams on the hit film Good Will Hunting and Damon said that Williams really helped make the film successful.

Damon also talked about the death of Williams and said he was shocked when he heard the news.

“I was shocked,” Damon said. “I hadn’t been in touch with him and obviously he was battling severe depression.”

He also said that he was surprised to hear that Williams had been battling Parkinson’s Disease.

He went on to say that he thinks part of the reason Williams’ death was so shocking is because the world knew him as a happy-go-lucky guy and nobody could have imagined how unhappy he really was.

“I think it affected everybody in the country, actually,” Damon added. “We all felt like we knew him and that he was a part of our lives… I think everyone who wasn’t there with him at the end feels bad that they didn’t see it coming.”

He said that although Williams’ death was tragic, he thinks it may help people who are battling the same disease as Williams.

“I hope that it can start a conversation in the country about depression and just how serious it is, and what an exceptionally powerful disease that it is,” he said. “I hope I become better at checking in with my friends. I hope that we, as a country, get better at checking in with each other.”
