  • Lindsey Vonn Stands By Boyfriend Tiger Wood At Masters Tournament

Like any regular girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn is standing, or in her case, walking by her man as she follows him around in his quest for another Masters jacket.

The Olympic skier showed up during the third round of the golf tournament looking relaxed in a white knit top and matching jeans. Looking very fresh, Vonn completed her look with aviator shades, light make-up and straight blond locks.

Woods’ girlfriend has been very supportive since this year’s Masters Tournament started, often being seen in the gallery quietly cheering him on as he struggles to stay in the game.

The tournament has been a challenging one for Woods, so far. He ended the first day nine shots behind current leader Justin Spieth. Woods remained optimistic about his run but is preparing to be surprised.

“We don’t know what the Masters is going to do, what they’re going to do with the greens or the golf course,” he explained. “You know how they like to change things every now and then.”

Vonn knows only too well Woods’ situation as she herself went through the difficulties of working to come back to your A-game after being sidelined from injuries.

The 30-year-old skier has already undergone two operations after blowing out her knee. But Vonn was able to successfully return to alpine skiing and won her seventh World Cup downhill title.

“I’m so proud and happy, and I really have to thank the people that supported me and got me back to where I am now,” the American said. And Woods was one of those who has supported her.

Despite her boyfriend’s struggles on the green, Vonn appears to be enjoying herself, as she roams around patiently in casual outfits. The only time the skier broke from her style was during The Masters Preview Day.

Wearing a long, strappy, green gown which she accessorized with diamonds, the Olympic athlete was beaming as she walked behind Woods and his caddies for the day, daughter Sam and son Charlie.

  • Bubba Watson Claims The Green Jacket At The 2014 Masters

Bubba Watson won his second green jacket on Sunday when he shot a final-round 69 at the Masters Golf Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. He first won the Masters in 2012. He was the only player in the top seven to shoot in the 60s in the final round.

Watson admits it was an overwhelming experience for “a small-town guy” such as him to have won two green jackets. He joins the ranks of other golf greats, such as Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods, who have also won the Masters in a short span of time. “To be with those great names… It’s pretty wild,” he enthused.

Watson’s biggest contender for the top spot was Jordan Spieth, who shot a final-round 72 to tie with Jonas Blixt of Sweden for second place.  If Spieth had won, he would have been the youngest Masters winner in history at age 20, and the youngest to win a major golf championship since 1931.

Spieth said it was an incredible experience to have played in the Masters and one he had always dreamed about. He was able to have a two-shot lead over Watson at the third hole and was also able to match Watson’s birdie at the par-3 sixth. He pulled away at the seventh with a birdie, giving him another two-shot lead.

The game’s turning point came at the par-5 eighth, when Spieth wasn’t able to go for the green in 2. He did, however, give himself a birdie chance, which was followed by a bogey. Watson made a birdie tie, and birdied again at the ninth. He bogeyed the tenth, pulling away from Spieth to get the leverage he needed to win the tournament.

Aside from the Masters, Watson has had six wins on the PGA Tour. He has never taken a lesson, but those who have seen him play are awed at his uncanny ability to hit seemingly impossible shots.

  • Caroline Wozniacki Reveals Hot Pink Hair At Masters

People didn’t just take notice of Caroline Wozniacki at the Masters Par 3 Contest in Augusta, Georgia on Wednesday because she was caddying for fiance Rory McIlroy. Wozniacki was sporting a hot pink ponytail.

It seems the new hair color was just a chance to coordinate with the famous flowers that bloom at the Augusta National Golf Club. Wozniacki even sported hot pink nails and shoes. McIlroy even helped the Danish tennis player color her hair for the event.

After finishing play in the Par-3 Contest McIlroy said, “I just wanted it to match the azaleas.”

The new hair color will most likely be short-lived if a recent tweet by Wozniacki is to be believed.

Wozniacki previously caddied for McIlroy at the Masters in 2013.

“It’s such a nice tournament, the Masters. To be out here at the Par-3 Course with Rory, I’m happy he took me. I was glad to be his caddie again,” said Wozniacki.

One person on Twitter is a fan of Wozniacki’s recent hair choice.

Wozniacki also got in on the golf action, sinking a 30 foot putt on the No. 9 green.

  • Lindsey Vonn Spotted Cheering Tiger Woods at the Masters

Lindsey Vonn is currently undergoing intense physical therapy for her right leg, but it evidently isn’t enough to keep her from cheering on her new man.

Vonn, who is currently dating golf star Tiger Woods, showed up at The Masters Tournament on Thursday to show support. According to a report from the New York Times, the blonde ski pro was wearing a dress that was long enough to cover the leg brace she currently has on her right leg. Vonn told the publication that she would see Woods play the first hole and watch the rest of the tournament from the clubhouse.

Vonn and Woods officially announced that they were dating back in March, though rumors of their relationship go back as far as January. It was later revealed that Kim Kardashian ex Kris Humphries was also courting the skiing star.

Vonn’s rehab is the result of a horrific crash she endured at a competition in Austria in February. She later had surgery performed on her right knee. Vonn has set a goal of competing in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and is now chronicling her recovery on social media.

  • Double Eagle Gets Oosthuizen In Masters Record Books

Louis Oosthuizen may have just missed a chance at the green jacket this weekend, but the sting of a loss was assuaged by a record-setting double eagle on the second hole, the first ever for the young South African golfer and the first 2 on the hole in the tournament’s history.

The shot was overshadowed by Bubba Watson’s game-ending drive from a dense thicket of trees, which flew 155 yards on a curve and was deemed “unbelievable” by Oosthuizen himself.

But the day was about accomplishments other than that famed grass-colored jacket, and Oosthuizen will go down in history as the first player ever to make a double eagle “albatross”–which means scoring 3 under par–on the second hole at Augusta National.

“That was my first double-eagle ever,” Oosthuizen said, “so it was tough the next five holes to just get my head around it and just play the course.”

The first albatross to be made famous in the Masters was on the 15th hole by Gene Sarazen in 1935. Sarazen’s play caused a tie, which he broke the next day to win the championship.

59-year old Wayne Mitchell happened to be sitting near the now-famous double eagle ball when it came to a stop after Oosthuizen pulled it out of the cup and tossed it toward the spectators. He reached out and grabbed it, a little souvenir of history made. Officials were reportedly in talks with him to get the ball back, but no plans have been made for it yet.

  • Bubba Watson Hits “Unbelieveable” Shot, Wins Masters

33-year old Bubba Watson, arguably golf’s most promising new star, hit an extraordinary curved shot yesterday that led him to the coveted green jacket above Louis Oosthuizen. Oosthuizen started the game with a double eagle–only the 4th in Masters history–and ended at 10 under par 278.

“Bubba just hit an unbelievable shot there on 10. I didn’t play badly. Bubba earned it,” Oosthuizen said.

The two men played a close game up until the 10th green, where Watson was forced to hook a curveball from a thicket of trees so dense Oosthuizen couldn’t even see him. It went 155 yards and required only two putts to win the championship.

“I had no idea where he was,” Oosthuizen said. “Where I stood from, when the ball came out, it looked like a curveball. Unbelievable shot. That shot he hit definitely won him the tournament.”

Watson was joined on the green by his wife and mother, who congratulated him as his emotions ran over after a day filled with stress.

“I’ve never had a dream go this far, so I can’t really say it’s a dream come true,” Watson said as he was presented with the green jacket.

Watson, who is heavily involved in fundraising for cancer research, played with a pink driver yesterday to show his support of the charity and says the win–which moves him up to number 4 in the world of golf and the top ranking American–won’t mean a reprieve from the real world this week. No doubt he’ll be grounded by a brand new family life, as he and his wife just adopted a one-month old son.

  • Masters: Tiger Woods Goes For Fifth Win

Fresh off a win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Tiger Woods is confident about his game in a way that he hasn’t been over the past few years. Between tabloid rumors about his personal life and a putt that could use some TLC, his performance hasn’t been–excuse the pun–up to par in recent years.

But Woods says he’s improving on the things that need the most work and that he feels more confident on a familiar course.

“I’m driving the ball much better than I have,” he said Tuesday. “I’ve got some heat behind it, and it’s very straight. My iron game is improving. So everything is headed in the right direction at the right time.”

However, his early performance today speaks differently. On live blog coverage of the Masters tournament, USA Today reported this morning that Woods was scrambling.

“Woods’ first tee shot is jacked left off the fairway. “It blows my mind” said Strange about how far off line Woods can sometimes be. The tee shot came moments after Strange talked about how the field might waver with Tiger on the course. Woods is famous for how poor he plays No. 1.”

If Woods pulls out of this early slump and goes on to win, he will tie Jack Nicklaus for the second-most Tour wins.

Tiger Woods? ability to gain strokes on the field with his putter is one reason he?s the favorite to win the Masters.

  • Epic Hole-in-One at Augusta National

    Epic Hole-in-One at Augusta National

Martin Kaymer had possibly the greatest hole-in-one in golfing history at a practice round this Monday for the Masters. The feat was accomplished during the “Skip It” contest as part of the pre-Masters festivities. Players attempt to skip the ball across the pond at the sixteenth hole. Most of the time it’s amazing if players even make it onto the green, Kaymer did more than that.

Here it is. He is the second one to tee off.

The German golfer skipped the ball nearly the entire distance of the pond at the 16th hole before it rolls up onto the green. The crowd cheers at the amazing feat of just keeping the ball out of the water, until they realize it actually has a chance of going in. The ball rolls past the hole, then turns around, slowly creeping toward the hole before finally dropping. And the crowd goes wild.

It’s too bad the shot was not in the actual tournament, in the view of the professional cameras and the public, but this amateur video on YouTube captures it pretty well. The original video only has about 19,000 views right now, but it only happened two days ago.

Vijay Singh accomplished the stunt in 2009, only to finish 30th in the tournament. Hopefully for Kaymer, that kind of bad luck doen’t rub off.

  • Tiger Woods Porn to be Released During the Masters

If you’ve every thought “Tiger Woods” would make a good porn name, you may not be as far off you thought. A Tiger Woods themed porno is soon to be released featuring three of Tiger’s real life porn star mistresses.

Devon James, Holly Sampson and Joslyn Kames will star in “3 Mistresses: Notorious Tales of the World’s Greatest Golfer.” The film will be released on April 3, during the Masters tournament.

Tiger has been on a hot streak since recovering from the sex debacle that hurt his game a few years back. He is expected to do well in the Masters this year, a tournament he has not won since 2005. That is, if he is not preoccupied with the details of his extra-marital sex life being reenacted publicly, by the women he had sex with.

The film will feature an in depth Q&A with the stars, who will discuss in explicit detail Tiger’s bedroom tastes, followed by on screen reenactments of his technique between the sheets.

“Any time three women get together to talk about the same guy, the results are going to be more than interesting,” said the film’s director, B. Skow. “Now, when these women also happen to be adult stars that have sex for a living, and reveal they have been with the same guy, you can be sure they’ll share absolutely everything.”

Woods cannot be happy with this turn of events, especially the timing. The legendary golfer is finally getting his swing back after the distraction the scandal caused. Fans are enjoying seeing his return to form, while others just want to see another fall from grace.

The film is likely to be a hit. You can never overestimate the public’s interest in celebrities’ sex lives, just look at the success of the Paris Hilton or Pamela Anderson sex tapes. The question is, can Woods maintain his focus while others cash in on his mistakes?

  • Masters Golf Tournament App Brings Live Action On-The-Go

This morning, the world’s most elite golfers are beginning their quest for the green jacket at the 2011 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.  The first major of the year always has its share of storylines, this year being no exception.  Golf fans wonder if no-longer-top-ranked Tiger Woods can bounce back from a dismal 2010 following his off-the-course indiscretions.  Some are anxious to see how many fans show up for the tournament, as the PGA has reported declining attendance.  Also, 19 year old Japanese phenom Ryo Ishikawa has pledged all of his tournament winnings to the earthquake and tsunami relief effort in his home country.

If you are like many golf fans, work oftentimes prevents you from following the first few rounds in their entirety.  To help with this, Augusta National has developed an app for the iPhone and iPad that allows fans to keep up with the unofficial kick-off of the 2011 golf season.

The free iPhone app contains course information including hole by hole layout, yardages and flyover views as well as player information including pairings and tee times.  The app offers real time scoring updates as well as video highlights and press conferences.

The darling of the app, however, is the live video.  Users can watch live streaming video from holes 11, 12 and 13 (aka Amen Corner) as well as holes 15 and 16.  As golf fans know, Amen Corner at Augusta National provides some of the most exciting moments of the whole PGA Tour season as more than one dream will be gobbled up by the swirling winds around Rae’s Creek.

The iPad version is $1.99 and adds more live video streams of featured pairings as well as more highlights from ESPN and CBS.

Some users are reporting video crashes and loss of sound on the iPhone.  Hopefully this is only temporary, as this app could be a godsend for golf fanatics who can’t be near a computer or television.

As a big lefty myself, I have to throw in my support for reigning champ Phil Mickelson.  Go Lefty!
