  • NJ Mall Shooting Terrorizes Shoppers

Reports claim that a shooter dressed in full body armor has fired shots inside the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey. The gunman started firing around 9:20 p.m., which is shortly before the mall was scheduled to close.

At least eight shots were reportedly fired in the vicinity of the Nordstrom department store that is located on the second level. The shooter has displayed a methodical approach through this ordeal, and has been firing shots at security cameras during his rampage.

There are no reports at this time indicating that shoppers near Nordstrom had any warning before shots starting firing; however, other witnesses saw the suspicious person enter the mall. According to PIX11, one witness who works at the Swatch store relayed that he had seen, “a gunman walk in through a California Pizza Kitchen, he was wearing full body armor, a helmet and everything; he walked right past the movers and told them, like ‘I’m not going to hurt you’ and he walked all the way over toward the Nordstrom side and that’s where the gunshots were fired.”

Local police are presently searching for the shooter who is said to have been clothed in completely black attire. Many other security forces have joined to search for the perpetrator including: state police, SWAT teams, and Newark emergency service units.

  • Sisters Ejected From Mall For Breast Cancer Hats

According to a report from Philadelphia news station ABC 6, Zakia Clark and her sisters were booted from the Philadelphia-area King of Prussia Mall on Sunday. The women were reportedly wearing hats emblazoned with the words “FUCK CANCER” in pink type, though not quite, as the letter c in the word fuck was replaced by a pink ribbon – a well-known symbol of the breast cancer awareness movement. Mall security reportedly asked them to leave, and began arguing with Clark before kicking them out.

The hats were a reference to Clark’s mother, 51-year-old Jackie Underwood, who had just died after a four-year battle with breast cancer. The sisters were reportedly shopping for funeral dresses when they were kicked out of the mall.

Mall management released a statement to ABC 6, saying that the King of Prussia Mall is a “family destination” and that some words, even just suggested ones, “are considered profane and can offend many people.” One of Underwood’s daughters, Makia Underwood, pointed out that clothing with profanity – both explicit and implicit – can be bought within the mall. The mall has since apologized to Clark and her sisters, offering to donate money to a cancer charity.

  • Sharks Escape Into Mall After Tank Breaks

Sharks Escape Into Mall After Tank Breaks

Sharks Escape Into Mall – that sounds like the perfect B-movie title, doesn’t it? Too bad Hollywood can never be as creative as reality when it comes to the kind of stories that exemplify the phrase “Truth is stranger than fiction.”

RT reports that 15 people were injured when a tank containing three lemon sharks, dozens of other fish species and turtles exploded on December 19. Those injured suffered cuts and bruises caused by the 15-centimeter thick glass. All three sharks died shortly thereafter due to a lack of oxygen. The other fish presumably died as well, but the turtles should be alright.

The aquarium was installed two years ago, so why did it suddenly break now? Some customers speculated that a sudden drop in temperature was the cause. The police are currently investigating, however, and an official cause will be forthcoming.

As for the management that built the aquarium in the first place, they said that they will not build another aquarium again. It’s obvious why after the potential for lawsuits from customers and the loss of expensive assets. Those sharks probably didn’t come cheap.

  • Bear at Mall: Pittsburgh Mall Gets Another Furry Visitor

Bear at mall: Shoppers at the Pittsburgh Mills mall were treated to a peculiar event when a bear wandered into Sears department store on Saturday, prompting officials to evacuate the establishment. After using the automatic doors to gain entrance to the store, the bear was spotted running up and down the aisles, growling as it went. According to witnesses, people weren’t initially aware that a bear had entered the building. Thankfully, the 125-pound intruder was tranquilized and removed before it or any of the customers were injured.

Strangely, this isn’t where the story ends. Authorities explained that a second bear was seen in the area around the same time. Less than two hours after taking care of the first unexpected visitor, another bear was seen lurking outside of an Olive Garden restaurant. Before it could be captured by State game officials, the beast disappeared, though not for very long.

Sunday night, authorities believe the same bear caused a traffic jam when it wandered onto the highway. Again, the bear eluded captivity, prompting officials to set traps in hopes of ensnaring the animal before it harms itself or the poor soul unfortunate enough to stumble across its path.

Remember, folks: If you spot the creature in-question, whatever you do, do not approach it. Find a safe spot and call the police. Having seen what happens when a bear is backed into a corner, I can honestly say that it’s not going to end well for you or the bear.
