  • Charlize Theron Stuns in Striking Gown With Deep Plunging Neckline at Oscars

Charlize Theron outdid herself on the Oscars red carpet Sunday, and that’s not an easy thing to do. Always gorgeous on any red carpet she walks, the Mad Max: Fury Road star stunned those who caught her entrance.

Wearing a crimson Christian Dior gown, with a neckline that plunged to her navel, Charlize Theron rocked the style that ended with a mermaid bottom.

Even though Charlize Theron wasn’t an Academy Award nominee, her recent film, Mad Max: Fury Road–for which the blonde beauty even shaved her head, received several Oscars.

Throughout the exciting evening, Charlize Theron posed for pictures with several A-listers, including Lady Gaga, Emily Blunt, and Jennifer Lawrence.

Did it surprise you to learn Charlize Theron wasn’t a nominee at Sunday’s Oscars?

Did seeing her in that gorgeous Christian Dior gown make up for that in any way?

  • Courtney Eaton Sparkles on Red Carpet at “Gods of Egypt” New York Premiere

Courtney Eaton Sparkles on Red Carpet at “Gods of Egypt” New York Premiere

Courtney Eaton sparkled in royal blue on the red carpet at the Gods of Egypt premiere in New York City on Wednesday evening. Wearing a short Balmain dress, the 20-year-old Australian actress lit up the room.

Playing the role of Zaya, Courtney Eaton stars opposite Gerard Butler, Brenton Thwaites and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the film that sets out to save all of mankind.

Gods of Egypt is about the survival of mankind, left hanging in the balance when Set (played by Gerard Butler), the god of darkness, usurps Egypt’s throne and plunges the empire into serious conflict. Hoping to save the world–as well as rescue his true love–a mortal named Bek (played by Brenton Thwaites) forms an unlikely alliance with the god Horus (played Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Their battle against Set and his cronies takes them into the afterlife where they are in for en epic confrontation.

The film sounds a bit dark–don’t you think? Perhaps that’s at least part of why Courtney Eaton donned such a bright, sparkling dress to wear to its premiere. It will certainly be interesting to see what the actress wears in her role as Zaya.

A relative newcomer to the big screen, Courtney Eaton starred as Cheedo the Fragile in the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road. She was a fashion model before setting her sights on acting.

Even if you’re not a fan of films like Gods of Egypt, you can check out Courtney Eaton in her second-ever big screen role. That in itself is likely worth the price of admission.

Gods of Egypt opens in theaters nationwide on Friday.

  • Lisa Bonet and Zoe Kravitz, Gorgeous Mother-Daughter Duo Featured in New Calvin Klein Campaign

Lisa Bonet joins daughter Zoe Kravitz in a new campaign for Calvin Klein. The mother-daughter duo are gorgeous, and one has to do a double-take to realize which is the mother and which is the daughter. The pair definitely do justice to the Calvin Klein Watches + Jewelry spring campaign.

In the print and video ads, Lisa Bonet and Zoe Kravitz have an organic feel as they wade in a lake and cuddle up close to one another.

Zoe Kravitz is the daughter of former Cosby Show star Lisa Bonet and rocker Lenny Kravitz. Zoe stars in the Divergent film series, as well as in Mad Max: Fury Road.

Lisa Bonet also has two children with husband and Game of Thrones alum Jason Momoa.

The new ads feature the tagline, “Life in the now,” and some feature additional actors and models, including Will Peltz, his girlfriend, model Kenya Kinski, model couple John Hein and Tilda Lindstam, and a few others.

None are quite as intriguing as Lisa Bonet and Zoe Kravitz. There’s just something about a mother-daughter duo–especially when that mother grew up on TV, as Bonet did on The Cosby Show–that people love to see.

Were you a fan of Lisa Bonet when she starred on The Cosby Show? Don’t you think daughter Zoe Kravitz looks just like her?

  • Best Movies of 2015 Mix of Children’s, Action Films, and More

The best movies of 2015 comprise an eclectic list. “Best,” of course, is relative. NDTV.com made a list of what they consider the best movies of 2015, and it includes children’s films, action flicks, and more.

NDTV chose 10 films for their best movies of 2015 list–and they admit the list is surprising. See if you’ve watched any they deem among the year’s best.

Ant-Man: Dubbed the “smallest big film of the year,” Ant-Man made the list because of Paul Rudd and some impressive cinematography.

“The film was full of plot holes and inconsistent science, but none of that mattered because everyone in the cinema was having so much fun,” NDTV writes.

Inside Out: This Pixar film is about feelings that have feelings. It appeals–as most Pixar films do–to adults as well as the children for which it was written.

Mad Max: Fury Road: Stunning visuals, amazing scenery, and Charlize Theron took this film with a two-hour long chase scene to new heights, making it worthy of the best movies of 2015 listing.

The Martian: Even though NDTV says it’s “slow,” they also write it’s “surprisingly accessible and highly enjoyable.” It also stars Matt Damon. Enough said?

Jurassic World: Already a contender for an Oscar for best visual effects, the only film to trump this one in box office sales is Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Besides, who doesn’t love Chris Pratt?

Minions: They’re yellow, and they look like giant Twinkies with eyes–but that’s not enough to leave them off the best movies of 2015 list, and NDTV agrees. They do warn viewers not to take them too seriously, however. Who takes a yellow creature that looks like a Twinkie with eyes seriously? Really?

Good Dinosaur: Yet another offering from Pixar for 2015, it doesn’t boast the hype of Inside Out, but is one of the most “gorgeous animated movies” the good people at NDTV have ever seen.

Ex Machina: Starring Alicia Vikander of The Danish Girl, Ex Machina raises questions about transhumanism without requiring viewers to learn a whole new vocabulary.

Chappie: Classified as a film you’ll either really love or really hate, Chappie features rappers Die Antwoord. NDTV says give it a chance, and since it made their best movies of 2015 list, someone must have done just that.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens: This one needs no explanation. It grossed more than any other film that opened Christmas weekend–even trumping Jurassic Park.

Would you place any of these films on your best movies of 2015 list?

There are many lists boasting the year’s best. As previously stated, “best” is relative. Do you agree?

  • Charlize Theron, Sean Penn Back Together Again

Charlize Theron and Sean Penn were spotted back together again in South Africa. The once engaged couple who split up in recent weeks was forced together to do reshoots for their upcoming film The Last Face.

Us Weekly reports that neither Penn nor Theron looked especially thrilled to be reunited.

It was just this past June when Charlize Theron called off her engagement to Sean Penn. Prior to that the two had both professed their love for one another to the media.

The two were last spotted together at the Cannes Film Festival, where her film Mad Max: Fury Road was featured.

“Charlize wasn’t responding to his calls and texts,” a source says of how Charlize Theron completely tuned Sean Penn out while the two were at Cannes. “She just cut it off.”

Sean Penn is reportedly dreading the press tour the two will be forced to take for The Last Face. That will likely be a very uncomfortable event for both actors.

There was certainly no love lost between Charlize Theron and Sean Penn when they met up in Cape Town earlier this week. He directs and she stars in The Last Face.

Do you think the two will come to some sort of amicable agreement before the press tour begins?

  • Charlize Theron, President Obama, and A Strip Club?

Charlize Theron, President Obama, and A Strip Club?

Charlize Theron, President Obama, and a strip club aren’t three topics one might expect to find all strung together in the same sentence–or even the same paragraph, for that matter. But they are all vert directly related to one another, per a funny story The Mad Max: Fury Road star recently shared during a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Jimmy Kimmel mentioned, while chatting with Charlize Theron, that the last time she appeared on his show, she spent some time chatting backstage with President Barack Obama.

What ensued–based upon that casual mention–is hilarious.

“Oh my god, this was terrible, Jimmy, this was terrible,” Charlize Theron behan. “I have this thing that happens when I get nervous where I get so nervous that I will say something really inappropriate. I can’t… it’s like Tourette’s in a weird way. I don’t know how to stop it, it just like verbal diarrhea.”

“I was really nervous because I was kind of hiding in the back and then somebody from his team like came to get me and ushered me over to him,” the actress continued. “He waited to meet with me and everything had stopped around his world to meet me and it was just a lot of pressure and I was really nervous.”

Theron dished about how President Obama was excited about the group of Americans he might potentially connect with as a result of his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The president was happy to reach a potentially new demographic.

“Then there was this pause and I didn’t know what to say,” Charlize Theron added. “All I could come up with was, ‘Well, if you’re looking for a different demographic, I can take you to a strip club!’ It was terrible, terrible, terrible.”

Not only was the look on Jimmy Kimmel’s face priceless, but imagining the look on President Obama’s face at that time was amusing as well.

It would be positively perfect now if Jimmy Kimmel could arrange a joint visit on his show with both President Obama and Charlize Theron. Fans or foes of both would no doubt love to know what went through President Obama’s mind when Charlize Theron made him that most unusual offer.

  • Charlize Theron and Sean Penn: It’s Over

Charlize Theron and Sean Penn made an unusual couple, but one that many believed just might stand the test of time. That belief has now been shattered.

Multiple reports say that the two have called it quits.

Last spotted on the Cannes red carpet in May, Sean Penn and Charlize Theron spent much of their down time in the company of her three-year-old son, Jackson. Since Cannes, however, they haven’t been spotted together in public at all.

Sources say the two have lived at separate addresses since returning from Cannes. Charlize Theron and Jackson lived in their Hollywood home, while Sean Penn stayed at his mansion in Malibu. He had previously put that mansion up for sale but withdrew it from the market upon his return from France. Prior to the trip to Cannes, the two were inseparable–often spotted at events where she was promoting her film Mad Max Fury Road.

It was only about a month ago when Charlize Theron called Sean Penn “the love of my life” during an interview with British Elle.

“Putting aside that he’s my partner, he’s the love of my life; for the first time, I felt that my work was really bleeding into my life, and that made it hard,” she said at the time.

What do you suppose when wrong for these two?

Are you among those shocked to learn that Charlize Theron and Sean Penn have split?

  • Charlize Theron Brings ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ to Cannes, Sean Penn Watches from the Wings

Charlize Theron walked the red carpet in a sexy yellow gown and watched herself on the big screen–replete with her bald head and mechanical arm–as Mad Max: Fury Road wowed the crowd at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. Sean Penn watched the love of his life from the wings.

According to a report from Page Six, Penn pointed to Charlize Theron when the French press headed in his direction. He wanted the night to be all about her, and not about him.

Penn reportedly beamed when Charlize Theron posed for a wealth of pictures throughout the evening.

Some are wondering why Mad Max: Fury Road wasn’t on tap for the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival instead of on Thursday? Many believed Charlize Theron in this kick-butt role would have ‘kicked the festival into higher gear’ right away.

“It wasn’t suitable for opening night, with all the dignitaries… [It] should be a more moviegoing audience,” the film’s director George Miller said.

In addition to Charlize Theron, Mad Max: Fury Road stars Tom Hardy, Nicholas Hoult, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, and Zoe Kravitz. It opens nationwide in theaters on May 15th.

Will you be checking out Charlize Theron and the rest of the cast in Mad Max: Fury Road?

Do you love how Sean Penn watched Charlize Theron from the wings, in his effort to cast all the light and fanfare upon her? They definitely are a most intriguing couple.

  • Charlize Theron Shaves Head for ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’

Charlize Theron shaved her head for her role in Mad Max: Fury Road. Why would someone as gorgeous as she is do such a thing–when makeup, prosthetics, and the like are all so readily available in Hollywood?

Fans no doubt realize that this isn’t the first time Charlize Theron has taken unusual measures for a specific role. Did you see her in Monster? She gained 30 pounds and wore prosthetic teeth to play Aileen Wuornos.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Charlize dished on her philosophy with regard to playing certain roles.

“Every movie is its own animal and you have to respect it and treat it that way,” she said. “This one was just a naturally a long process because the movie took so long to make, but I had a lot to have the story really inform me as to what I needed to do and what needed to happen. So I was grateful for the time.”

She says shaving her head to make Mad Max: Fury Road wasn’t only about playing her character, however.

“I just had this moment where I was like, ‘I need to shave my head! I can’t think about what I’m going to do with my hair in this movie. I’m going to be in the desert. I’m a new mother. Let’s just shave it,’” she said. “The next day we did it. I can’t even imagine doing it any other way.”

What did Sean Penn think about her buzz cut?

“I think he liked it,” she says.

Mad Max: Fury Road hits theaters on May 15th. Fans can likely expect to see Charlize Theron walking red carpets between now and then–perhaps even on the arm of the ‘love of her life,’ Sean Penn.

Will you be checking out Mad Max: Fury Road–and Charlize Theron at a theater near you?

  • Charlize Theron: Women Hit Their Prime At 40

Do women get better as they age?

Academy Award winning actress Charlize Theron thinks so. In article for the latest issue of Women’s Wear Daily, the soon-to-be 40-year-old spoke about the beauty of getting older and wiser, “It’s ironic that we’ve built the beauty world around 20-year-olds, when they have no f****** concept about wisdom, what life is about, having a few relationships below [their] belt and feeling hardships, to grow into [their] skin and feel confident within [themselves] and to feel the value of who [they] are, not because of a man or because of something like that.” She added, “And that’s why I think people say women come into their prime in their 40s.”

The beautiful blonde has taken all kinds of roles as an actress, some of which made her nearly unrecognizable. She gained weight and skipped the glamor department for her role as a serial killing prostitute in Monster and played a miner in North Country. Monster earned the actress an Academy Award in 2003 while North Country garnered Theron a nomination in 2005.

The actress talked about the challenge of physically transforming for a role, “Sometimes it’s time-consuming, you can’t just do it overnight. You can shave your head, but I’ve had to gain a lot of weight for movies, I’ve had to drop weight really fast for movies. I’ve had to learn accents or embody physical behaviors or twitches and things like that. And sometimes you take to some things easily and sometimes [not]. That’s the challenge of the job. That’s why I like my job so much, because at the end of the day they’re fruits of labor that you don’t pick very easily.”

Theron doesn’t accept how men and women are treated differently as they age, “And then for some reason our society treats older women like a dead flower,” she said. “It’s like we wilt for some reason. And men are like fine wines — the older they get, the better they get. It’s such a misconception, and it’s such a lost opportunity because that’s when I think women are really in the true moment of their sensuality.”

Theron is currently dating actor Sean Penn. She is also the single-mom to a two-year-old son named Jackson. You can see her on the big screen next year in the latest installment of the apocalyptic drama Mad Max called Mad Max: Fury Road. The film stars Tom Hardy and is slated for a May 15, 2015 release.

  • Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult Break Up

Actress Jennifer Lawrence has split from British actor Nicholas Hoult for a second time, according to US Weekly.

Lawrence, 23, and Hoult, 24, met on the set of X-Men: First Class in 2011, and dated for almost two years before taking a break. The two rekindled their romance while reprising their roles of Mystique and Beast in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, which hit theaters in May. The Oscar-winning actress and the Warm Bodies star reportedly purchased a house in London together in April.

A source revealed that scheduling was to blame for the split, the same issue the couple had the first time they separated. Lawrence told Marie Claire in June, “When we’re busy, we agree to mutually ignore each other. Not completely, but neither of us gets mad when the other doesn’t text back or call. Life’s super-busy.”

The Hunger Games franchise star added, “Obviously you know what they’re doing, and you trust them. We’re so young that it would almost be like, if we lived in the same city, what would happen? We’d be living together. At least this way he’s in the same boat as I am. We can go out and have our own lives and know that we have each other.”

Here is a clip of Hoult and Lawrence as Beast and Mystique from X-Men: First Class:

Hoult recently wrapped up filming Mad Max: Fury Road, the fourth installment of director George Miller’s post-apocalyptic series. The actor is presently filming Autobahn, which costars Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley.

Here is the trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road:

Superstar Lawrence has been finishing the final chapters of the highly popular Hunger Games series. Here is a teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1:

Hoult appears to be handling the split well, and was recently spotted with Twilight franchise star Kristen Stewart.
