  • Melanie Griffith Shares Unabashed Selfie at 58

Melanie Griffith unabashedly shared a new selfie of her 58-year-old self recently, in a stand against haters who dissed a photo she shared last week.

Sharing a photo of her legs on Instagram, cyber bullies wrote rude comments, with one even saying they “look like men’s legs.”

“Hawaii with my feet up?” Melanie Griffith captioned last week’s post. She is in Hawaii playing the role of actor Scott Caan’s mother on CBS’s Hawaii Five-O.

It was this past weekend that Melanie Griffith posted her selfie, as well as a message for her haters.

“Here ya go. Unfiltered. I’m 58. And I’m in Hawaii Five O playing Scott Caan’s Mom. Go ahead… Say some more mean things. Merry Christmas?” she captioned it.

In other Melanie Griffith news, she and Antonio Banderas recently finalized their divorce. She is walking away from the marriage with half the cash he earned on films including Shrek 2, Puss in Boots, Machete Kills, The Expendables 3, and any additional films made between 2004-2014, according to TMZ. She will also $65,000 per month from her ex, and gets to keep their Aspen home.

Life is looking pretty good for Melanie Griffith, and for a woman who is 58, Melanie Griffith is looking pretty good, too. How sad that haters have to hit so low when commenting on social media.

  • Vanessa Hudgens Describes Selena Gomez

    Vanessa Hudgens Describes Selena Gomez

Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez costarred in Spring Breakers a couple of years back. The two were also young Disney stars. Very recently during a question and answer session with MonioInsider she was asked to describe her friend and fellow actor–in five words. That’s not exactly an easy thing to do. Read what Vanessa said about the Come & Get It singer and see if you could do as good a job if asked to describe one of your closest friends.

“Beautiful, talented, go-getter, loyal, gypsy,” Vanessa replied.

It’s a bit uncertain of Gomez–believed to be relinked to pop singer Justin Bieber–has heard about the nice things Vanessa Hudgens said about her, but it certainly seems she’d be quite pleased. And who wouldn’t? They’re very complimentary terms.

Hudgens was spotted this week leaving her yoga class in California, where it appeared as though the weather is anything but suitable to those going on spring break. She was bundled up in a hoodie and boots, but still wore shorts.

Just a few days earlier the High School Musical, Gimme Shelter, and Machete Kills star posted a photo on Instagram of herself with two of her girlfriends showing off their sexy shades.

She captioned the photo, “My lovely lassies @Laura_New @nataliesaidi we’re obvi obsessed with @WILDFOXCOUTURE sunglasses. Hahahahahahahha.”

A day later she shared a tweet with a photo of herself getting very creative with exercise.

Not long after she was spotted showing off what has been dubbed “perfect L.A. street style” as seen in the video clip above.

Vanessa Hudgens is certainly a busy–and very stylish–young woman, even when she’s not in the middle of shooting a film. She’s obviously a person that lots of girls are happy to call a friend. And given how kind she was when asked to describe Selena Gomez–it’s not hard to imagine why.

  • WATCH – Machete Kills Again … In Space

After the disappointing box-office numbers for “Machete Kills” it’s hard to see any scenario where there will be third film in the Machete series. This didn’t stop Robert Rodriguez from creating a mock-trailer entitled “Machete Kills Again … in Space”.

The preview was attached to the theatrical run of “Machete Kills”, and it’s everything you could want in a fake trailer. You can check it out for yourself below:

If you’d like a little more information on the film, you can read a synopsis of the film below:

“Watch Danny Trejo’s machete-wielding, ex-Federale anti-hero as he defies zero gravity to fight a masked space villain with the help of a light saber. The galactic version of Michelle Rodriguez’s eye-patched rebel character Luz is also thrown into the mix, along with Alexa Vega’s KillJoy and a useless robotic sidekick that resembles Buck Roger’s Twiki, which supposedly has the voice of Justin Bieber before Machete points a Han Solo-type gun and blasts it to smithereens. (Machete don’t tweet — or have Bieber fever, apparently.) The mention of Lady Gaga and Leonardo DiCaprio are also playfully hinted for cameos.”

“Machete Kills” will release on Blu-ray on January 21, 2014.

  • Charlie Sheen Changes Name For Upcoming Film ‘Machete Kills’

Since his inaugural Hollywood appearance in Red Dawn, and even before that, Charlie Sheen has used his changed name in every movie or television show he’s appeared in. This will change with his role in the campy, action film sequel ‘Machete Kills’. He’s embracing his latino heritage, by using the moniker Carlos Estevez, his birth name.

The history of the Estevez/Sheen names is quite interesting. Martin Sheen was born Ramon Antonio Gerardo Estevez. He changed his name to Martin Sheen to have a better chance at getting work as an actor, however, he never officially changed his name. This led to all four of his children to adopt the Estevez surname. Charlie Sheen kept his original name into his teen years, and ended up changing it for the same reason as his father, to try and get acting work.

Sheen will use his birth name for the first time in his long acting career. We don’t know yet whether or not he will use his birth name in future films or if this is a one shot deal.

Carlos Estevez joins a stacked cast, with Danny Trejo, Amber Heard, Mel Gibson, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Antonio Banderas, Cuba Gooding Jr., and more.

Machete Kills looks to take the camp to the next level, as proven by the IMDB plot summary – “The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.

Really, the film could be about anything if they give Sofia Vergara chest guns. Which they have. The movie is set to release September 13th.

  • Alexa Vega, Spy Kids Star, Gets Divorce, Posts Revealing Pic

Alexa Vega, the star of “Repo! The Genetic Opera” and several films in the “Spy Kids” franchise apparently got married to 36-year-old producer Sean Covel when I wasn’t looking. Now, less than two years after tying the marital knot, the two are calling it quits. Although neither Vega, 23, nor Covel have commented on the split, the boys and girls working behind-the-scenes at TMZ managed to get their hands on a copy of the court documents.

According to the paperwork the “Sleepover” actress recently filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the couple sited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. The documents also state the two decided to separate on March 5th, 2012, which means they’ve spent several months apart before making their decision official. Honestly, it’s a little hard to imagine Vega being old enough to get married, as I still toss in the third “Spy Kids” flick from time-to-time as background noise. And, no, I’m not ashamed to admit it.

In other Vega news, the actress was recently cast in director Robert Rodriguez’ “Machete Kills”, the sequel to the surprisingly successful action epic “Machete”. Alexa will reported portray a character named Killjoy in the upcoming flick. If you’re curious to see the actress dressed as the curvy vixen, direct your attention to the photo below. Again, it’s hard to believe this is the same girl from “Spy Kids”. Stuff like this makes me feel old.

Not surprisingly, there’s a lot of love to be found for Alexa Vega on Twitter, most of which are centered around her recent Instagram post. You can check out some reactions to both the divorce and the aforementioned Instagram photograph by taking a look at the posts below. Try not to stare too long at Vega’s bikini pic, especially if you’re at work.

  • Charlie Sheen To Play the President in Machete Sequel

That’s right, Charlie Sheen will be playing the U.S. President in the upcoming sequel the Robert Rodriguez’s Machete, entitled “Machete Kills”.

Robert Rodriguez Tweeted the news yesterday, and slowly the entertainment news organizations have picked up on it.

And here is the accompanying picture of the two on set:

    (image)

According to the Hollywood Reporter, negotiations are still under way, but once a price is reached he will definitely appear in the film.

This time Machete is called upon by the U.S. government to stop a cartel boss and arms dealer who have a weapon in space. Early report have the script involving an African American President with a basketball court on the White House lawn, but that has seen a rewrite.

Sheen is currently working on the FX series Anger Management which starts June 28.
