    Taking to social media in her usual fashion, Taylor Swift, shared word of Ellie Goulding’s surprise appearance.

    It was while she was onstage that two of Ellie Goulding’s hit songs began to play at the same time. Goulding and her band waited things out as “Love Me Like You Do” and “Burn” played together–followed by silence. Then the singer and her band began performing “Love Me Like You Do.”

    It was via Twitter that some people in the stands accused Ellie Goulding of lip-synching. She replied using the social media site.

    Ellie Goulding also retweeted some positive comments made by fans.

    She also lauded those fans who know her so well.

  • Ellie Goulding Neither Dated Nor Cheated On Ed Sheeran

    Ellie Goulding has been the subject of some rumors involving Ed Sheeran recently. Those rumors say she both dated and cheated on the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer. Even worse, she reportedly cheated on Ed Sheeran with One Direction’s Niall Horan.

    In the July issue of Elle UK, Ellie Goulding says the rumors aren’t true.

    “I did go on a few dates with Niall, but I was never in a relationship with Ed,” she explains. “I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing.

    Ellie Goulding went on to blast the double standard within the music world of women being defined for those they are seen with or dating. She and Taylor Swift apparently discussed the topic quite recently.

    “I find it so frustrating that female musicians are constantly defined by the men they have or haven’t dated. It’s something I’ve talked about with Taylor a lot. She definitely feels that. She gets bothered by it,” Goulding said.

    “It’s like, you can be a great artist, you can write great songs, but the thing that everyone is going to talk about is some relationship they think you have had or not had. It’s definitely something we both think happens to female artists over male artists.’”

    Ed Sheeran recently negated the rumors, too, when asked if his song, ‘Don’t,’ was inspired by Ellie Goulding having cheated on him with Niall Horan. He was asked, in fact, if he regretted letting that little tidbit of information slip during a prior interview.

    “I never let it slip. What happened was one of the newspapers in England just printed that it was confirmed when it never was,” Ed Sheeran said. “We got in touch, and they took the story down. But obviously the damage had already been done by that point because every other newspaper picked up on it. So I never actually confirmed it.”
