  • ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Reunion: Hilary Duff, Lalaine and Jake Thomas Hang Out

Lizzie McGuire was a Disney Channel favorite and fans of the show must have got all giddy to see the recently posted pic of Hilary Duff, Lalaine, and Jake Thomas.

The picture of the Lizzie McGuire trio was snapped at a bowling alley and was posted on Jake Thomas’ Instagram page.

Thomas, 25, played Lizzie McGuire’s pestering younger brother Matt McGuire. He captioned his Instagram pic with, “So this happened last night… #LizzieMcGuire.”

Not to be outdone, 27-year-old Lalaine, who played Lizzie McGuire’s BFF Miranda Sanchez, shared the same shot in black and white on Twitter, with the caption, “#About last night #AMomentLikeThis.”

Lizzie McGuire herself, Hilary Duff, also shared a photo of the event, but her posts didn’t include any Lizzie McGuire alums.

Lizzie McGuire, the show, was a beloved Disney Channel original series that aired from 2001 to 2004. There was also a 2003 film called The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

Hilary Duff told the Huffington Post in September 2014 that she would be up for a Lizzie McGuire reunion show or film.

“I love it! I would be totally open to it. My schedule is a little busy right now. But um … why not?” she quipped, referring to her hit 2003 single “Why Not.”

Would you like to see a Lizzie McGuire reunion show or film? Maybe Netflix needs to get on that.

Lizzie McGuire cast mates Hilary Duff, Jake Thomas, and Lalaine enjoyed a get-together at a bowling alley on Tuesday. The three starred in the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire from 2001 to 2004, as well as in The Lizzie McGuire Movie in 2003.

Jake Thomas played the role of Lizzie McGuire’s brother Matt McGuire. Lalaine played the role of her best friend, Miranda Sanchez.

Both Thomas and Lalaine shared a photo of the Lizzie McGuire reunion via social media. Jake Thomas shared a color version on Instagram, while Lalaine shared a black and white version on Twitter.

“So this happened last night… #LizzieMcGuire,” both of the former cast members captioned the photo.

Hilary Duff, who played Lizzie McGuire, went on to star in the Cheaper by the Dozen films, as well as in A Cinderella Story. She also has a career as a recording artist.

Duff actually referenced one of her hit songs when asked a few years ago if a Lizzie McGuire reunion might be in the cards.

“I love it! I would be totally open to it. My schedule is a little busy right now. But um … why not?” in reference to her 2003 song “Why Not.”

No Lizzie McGuire reunion appears to be scheduled yet. For now fans will have to make do by enjoying a peek into the main characters and their bowling alley reunion instead.

  • Haylie Duff Pregnant With Wedding Plans on Hold

Haylie Duff may be in her second trimester of pregnancy, but she says she and fiance Matt Rosenberg have put their wedding plans on hold. Since discovering she was pregnant, the couple decided to concentrate on their soon-to-be daughter instead.

“We still talk about things we want to do, but it’s a big change with the baby coming,” Duff, who is 29, told People magazine. “We’re just trying to focus on one thing first and then we’ll do it.”

“It’s pretty cool to think our daughter is going to be at our wedding,” Rosenberg told reporters at the 4th Annual Santa’s Secret Workshop in West Hollywood on Saturday–indicating that yes, there will indeed be a wedding. It simply won’t take place until some time after the couple have officially become ‘mom and dad.’

Haylie Duff is a very lucky pregnant mom. Instead of pickles and ice cream, her pregnancy cravings have been mostly healthy ones.

“I drink a lot of green smoothies,” she says. “I think I’ve craved health food, which is weird, and then the occasional mac and cheese.”

Her workout routine makes Matt Rosenberg a bit uncomfortable, however.

“He’s like, ‘Don’t push yourself too hard.’ I’m like, ‘I got it! I’m fine.’ I’m just trying to move. Go on walks. I’m not trying to put too much pressure on myself either way,” Duff shares.

“I feel better when I’m active. I try to do something every day, even if it’s just a little walk or whatever, but there’s some days I don’t do anything!”

Haylie Duff says Matt is already in fatherhood mode.

“He’s in dad mode already,” Duff says. “He’s up at six in the morning doing chores around the house. I’m like, ‘Who is this person?’”

After weeks of feeling a bit under the weather–and always tired–during her first trimester, Haylie Duff is excited to be experiencing a renewed sense of energy.

“The majority of pictures he’s taken of me are me passed out during the middle of the day,” she says of Rosenberg. “But everyone talks about this burst of energy you get in the second trimester and it’s very true. I feel like I’m back at it.”

Haylie Duff is, of course, the sister of Hillary Duff. She is also the host of Girl’s Real Kitchen. She was a cast member of both 7th Heaven and Lizzie McGuire.

It will be interesting to learn if Haylie and Matt plan a lavish wedding–with their daughter at the center of it all–after they become parents. Maybe they’ll find that parenthood has just too many demands in those first few months, to even consider such a thing. How long do you suppose it might be before Haylie Duff and Matt Rosenberg tie the knot?

  • Lizzie McGuire In 2014: What Is She Up To Now?

Lizzie McGuire was one of the viewers all time favorite Disney Channel shows in the early 2000s.

It has been ten years since the show ended in 2004, and many fans want to know what would have happened to Lizzie if the show carried on.

Hillary Duff, the actress who played the beloved character, recently spoke to Buzzfeed, revealing where she thinks Lizzie’s life would have gone.

“I don’t think she’d be married to Gordo (Adam Lamberg). I don’t know,” Duff told the website. “I think she’d go off to college and potentially become a little cooler than she was, but still not bitchy at all. I think she’s just the biggest-hearted girl ever.”

“Maybe she’d move to New York for a while, and her parents would probably follow her and rent an apartment secretly,” the Younger star added. “I think she’s pretty smart. I can imagine her being on a path to something really special and great, but I feel like she’d still be working her way through the office grind and she’d probably constantly embarrass herself—mishaps in the office all the time. She’d probably still be wearing butterfly clips, bringing it back!”

While she doesn’t get to see her co-stars very often, Duff explained that they all hold a special place in their hearts for one another.

“I remember one time I was plugging my meter outside, and I saw [Hallie Todd], who played my mom on the show, and I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ I cried on the street,” Duff recalled. “We all, I think, hold each other in a really special place.”

  • ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Role Revisited By Hilary Duff

While it’s been ten years since Lizzie McGuire went off the air, the show is still one of the most memorable Disney Channel shows. Lizzie McGuire pretty much catapulted Hilary Duff to stardom, and she became one of the most beloved personalities in the network’s roster. Duff recently talked to Buzzfeed and she speculated on what Lizzie would be doing now, ten years down the line. “I don’t think she’d be married to Gordo (Adam Lamberg). I don’t know,” Duff said in the interview.

“I think she’d go off to college and potentially become a little cooler than she was, but still not bitchy at all. I think she’s just the biggest-hearted girl ever.” Duff, who is now a parent and is living in Brooklyn, dished out about her character’s potential future. “I can imagine her being on a path to something really special and great, but I feel like she’d still be working her way through the office grind and she’d probably constantly embarrass herself — mishaps in the office all the time. And she’d probably still be wearing butterfly clips, bringing it back!”

Duff, who is now 27, will be returning to the small screen for TV Land’s Younger starring Sutton Foster. The actress and singer talked about the difference of playing a supporting character as opposed to her time in Lizzie McGuire. “Honestly, filming this show, my heart goes out to Sutton — because, you know, she’s in both storylines, she’s the star of the show,” Duff told Buzzfeed. “And I remember filming ‘Lizzie,’ I was in both storylines, and there was basically zero scenes without me in them. And I’m so grateful I usually get a day off a week, and it’s nicer with my kid, you know? I’m trying to work on my record and do that, so it’s nice to not be so slammed.”

Hilary Duff Rocks Bikini in “Chasing the Sun” Video

Hilary Duff is rocking a black bikini in the video for her comeback single “Chasing the Sun.”

The song and video officially released on Tuesday, although it leaked online the day before.

Duff described it as a “light and fun summer song.” Colbie Caillat, Toby Gad, and Jason Reeves co-wrote the tune, which Duff hopes “helps people to feel a little more carefree.”

The song marks Duff’s return to the music industry after a seven-year break.

“I took a break from music for quite awhile, but it gave me the power to choose my next steps carefully and I’m really proud of the album I’ve made,” Duff said.

“I’ve worked very hard and the album is a great representation of the experiences I’ve had in my life and where I want to go from here!”

The upcoming studio album will be Duff’s fifth. The singer and actor, who rose to fame as star of Disney’s hit series Lizzie McGuire, released her first album (Santa Claus Lane) in 2002.

She followed that up with Metamorphosis, her best-selling album to date, in 2003. It included two hit singles, “Come Clean” and “So Yesterday” and went triple platinum.

Duff went on to release a self-titled studio album in 2004, a compilation album (Most Wanted) in 2005, her fourth studio album (Dignity) in 2007, and a greatest hits album (Best of Hilary Duff) in 2008.

Duff has kept busy acting and being a mother during her break from music.

Besides starring in a spin-off movie of the Lizzie McGuire series, Duff stared in Agent Cody Banks (2003,) Cheaper by the Dozen (also 2003,) and A Cinderella Story (2004.)

She guest-starred on series such as George Lopez, Gossip Girl, Joan of Arcadia, and Two and a Half Men.

Most recently she’s been attached to TV Land’s upcoming single-camera comedy series Younger. Written and executive-produced by Darren Star (Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, Sex and the City) the series will also star Sutton Foster (Bunheads, Shrek the Musical,) Debi Mazar (Collateral, Goodfellas,) and Miriam Shor (Bedazzled, The Cake Eaters.)

Duff also provided voice for the animated film Wings: Sky Force Heroes opposite Josh Duhamel and Rob Schneider, and starred in the yet-to-be-released Flock of Dudes with Skylar Astin, Bryan Greenberg, and New Girl’s Hannah Simone.

Duff is also a New York Times best selling author. In 2010 she released Elixir, the first installment of her young adult trilogy, a collaboration with Elise Allen. Devoted released in 2011 and True in 2013.

  • Hilary Duff and Hubby at Coachella Despite Separation

Hilary Duff and estranged hubby Mike Comrie were spotted together at Coachella this past weekend, despite announcing their split back in January. The Lizzie McGuire star will return to TV in the near future starring in a new show called Younger. Comrie retired from his professional hockey career back in 2010.

The two wed in 2010 and have a 2-year-old son together. Even though they appeared to be having a great time at Coachella a source for the couple says there’s no reconciliation in the works.

“They are still separated but very good friends … They are at Coachella this weekend, which is sure to fan the flames, but they aren’t a couple. It’s just not true – they remain separated.”

In February–just one month after announcing their plans to divorce, Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie traveled with son Luca to the Bahamas.

After she and Mike Comrie were spotted at Coachella this past weekend she posted the following to Twitter.

If Hilary Duff and her husband honestly haven’t yet reconciled, their actions certainly lend themselves to exactly that some time in the future–don’t you think?

Back in January a rep for Duff and Comrie issued the following statement about the couple.

“Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have mutually decided to an amicable separation. They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other’s lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time.”

Who deemed smooching and cuddling to be part of an ‘amicable separation?’ It certainly seems like something more is definitely going on.

It would be wonderful to learn that Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie have decided to work things out with their marriage and to forgo any efforts toward getting a divorce. It’s always painful when a couple splits–especially when there is a child or children involved.

So what’s your take on Duff and Comrie? Are they separated smoochers or are they working on putting the pieces of their lives back together again?

  • Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie at Coachella 2014

Hilary Duff and her estranged husband Mike Comrie were spotted together at Coachella 2014 on Friday.

The couple, who married in 2010 and have a two-year-old son together, announced their separation in January.

Despite their appearance at the annual Indio, CA music festival on Friday, a source says Duff and Comrie are not reconciling:

“They are still separated but very good friends … They are at Coachella this weekend, which is sure to fan the flames, but they aren’t a couple. It’s just not true – they remain separated.”

Indeed, it’s not the first time the two have appeared together since announcing their separation.

In February Duff posted a picture of her, Comrie, and their son Luca in the Bahamas with the hashtags #modernfamily and #vacation.

Duff has posted several photos on Twitter giving Comrie photo credit:

The day before being spotted at Coachella, the two were seen shopping together at the Chanel store in Beverly Hills. Similar sightings have occurred in New York City, and at one point, Duff posted a picture of Comrie and Luca hiking that was presumably taken by her.

At the very least, Duff and Comrie appear to be carrying out the vow they made back in January to remain friends and lovingly co-parent their son.

It was recently announced that Duff, who broke onto the Hollywood scene with her starring role in the Disney hit series Lizzie McGuire in 2001, will return to television full-time to star in Younger. TV Land Network has ordered 12 episodes of the show. It will be produced by Darren Star of Sex and the City fame and will costar Sutton Foster, who has won two Tony Awards for her Broadway performances.

Duff recently signed a deal for her fifth music album:

Originally from Canada, Comrie retired from professional hockey in 2012 at the age of 31 after undergoing his third hip surgery in five years. He had played 10 seasons in the National Hockey League.

  • Haylie Duff Is Engaged To Matt Rosenberg

Haylie Duff Is Engaged To Matt Rosenberg

Actress Haylie Duff may be getting ready to settle down, as it was just announced that she is engaged to Matt Rosenberg. She is the older, and slightly less famous, sister of Hilary Duff, who made it big as a star on the Disney channel.

In addition to being an actress, and a singer-songwriter, Haylie Duff operates a food blog. She revealed that she was engaged via the blog, and said that her boyfriend had popped the question on April Fool’s Day.

Duff posted this news on her blog on Thursday, and announced it to everyone when saying “Matt just took me by total surprise and proposed…on April Fool’s Day of all days! The moment was genuine and sweet (like him!) and I couldn’t wait to say yes!”

Haylie Duff and her future husband have been together for about a year and a half according to a rep that told People Magazine. Rosenberg is an entrepreneur who owns the apparel line of Subway Tile Shirts.

April Fool’s Day has been known as the day when people joke about things such as weddings, pregnancies or engagements, and one could imagine that Haylie Duff would have been quite shocked when he used this day for his true proposal.

In addition to her recent engagement, Duff has been having quite a week, and it was also announced earlier this week that her blog would be premiering on television, receiveing a spot on the Cooking Channel in June.

The show will be called Real Girl’s Kitchen just like her blog. She released a book with the title The Real Girl’s Kitchen last year, and continues to stay active with the subject of cooking.

As an actress, she has appeared in television shows such as her sister’s hit Lizzie Mcguire, and she appeared on 7th Heaven from 2005 until 2007. She has also been seen in Material Girls and Napoleon Dynamite, while she currently has four films in post-production.

Before getting together with Matt Rosenberg, Haylie Duff had dated Nick Zano for three years, and the two of them split up in 2011. Will her younger sister Hilary be next?
