  • “Little Couple” Star Is Ready For Life To Be Boring

“Little Couple” star Jen Arnold has been through a lot in the past year; after traveling to India with her husband, Bill Klein, she began experiencing heavy bleeding and subsequently found out she had cancer of the uterus brought on by a miscarriage. The trip to India was meant to be a happy time, as they were going to adopt their 2-year old daughter, Zoey, but Arnold was forced to come back to the U.S. to receive treatment.

“It was terrible,” Bill said. “I just wanted it to be me instead of her and for her to be with the kids.”

The cancer required surgery, which was hard on Jen’s body and left her feeling overwhelmed while taking care of the children.

“It actually got harder as more time went on,” Arnold said. “Some weeks were more difficult than others with different side effects. I had a lot of fatigue and nausea and some days it just felt like my hands and feet were very heavy… Bill knows when I’m not doing well and he takes such good care of me,” she said of her husband. “That was huge. That and enjoying watching my children play was a huge uplifting part of my treatment. With kids running around, you don’t have much time to feel sorry for yourself.”

But having the children there also helped her find the strength to recover; as she says, she wanted to make sure she’s around to see them grow up and build lives for themselves.

“I kept thinking I want to see Will get married. I want to see Zoey get married. I want to see what they become when they grow up,” she said.

As far as the past year, Arnold says she’s ready for things to go back to normal now that her cancer is gone.

“I don’t want any of this crazy excitement,” she said. “I’m ready for life to be boring, good or bad.”

“Little Couple” Introduce New Daughter, Zoey

“The Little Couple”, Jen Arnold and Bill Klein, have introduced their new adopted daughter, Zoey, and say she will feature heavily in the upcoming season of the show.

The couple traveled to India for the adoption last year, and during the trip, Arnold became seriously ill and had to return home in order to be hospitalized. She discovered she had stage 3 choriocarcinoma and had to undergo intensive chemotherapy as well as surgery to remove a mass on her uterus. The doctor and reality star says that the treatment made her so sick that keeping up with 2-year old Zoey and 3-year old Will was a challenge every day.

Arnold and Klein are enjoying spending time with Zoey, who, according to Arnold, is a very determined little girl with a fun personality.

“She is a very strong personality,” Arnold said. “She is a happy girl.”

Arnold announced earlier this month that she is now cancer-free and has received her last chemo treatment, so she’s in good spirits.

“I had my official last chemo treatment,” she said. “And while I’m hesitant to say I’m cancer-free — maybe that’s common for people who have had cancer — I’m doing great. Everything is moving in the right direction. I am very excited….Sometimes I get a little winded when I walk around more and I have that fuzzy chemo brain at times, but I am very excited and happy to be where I am right now. I want to get stuff done. I am anxious to get back to my normal self.”

The new season of “The Little Couple” begins March 4.

  • Jen Arnold Is In Remission, Says Kids Helped Her Through It

Jen Arnold, star of TLC’s “Little Couple”, says she just had her last chemotherapy treatment and is in remission, and though it was a difficult journey, she says her children and husband definitely helped her get through it.

Arnold developed stage 3 choriocarcinoma after a failed pregnancy last year and had to undergo surgery to remove a mass on her uterus; she later had tumors removed from her lungs, as well, and battled pneumonia on top of it all. The chemotherapy made her extremely ill, which made it hard to keep up with her two young children, 3-year old Will and 2-year old Zoey.

“It actually got harder as more time went on,” Arnold says.

Aside from being a reality star with Bill, Arnold is a doctor at Texas Children’s Hospital. She hasn’t gone back to work yet but says she’s excited to get back to her normal schedule now that she’s healthy.

“I had my official last chemo treatment,” she says.

Arnold says she will have to be closely monitored by doctors over the coming months to ensure she stays healthy, but for now, she’s doing well.
