  • Lily Rabe Takes On Old Charlize Theron Role on “American Horror Story”

Lily Rabe has returned to American Horror Story, and this time it’s in the form of serial killer Aileen Wournos. Wournos was portrayed in the 2003 film Monster by Charlize Theron. Wournos was put to death in 2002 at the Florida State Prison for the murders of seven men between 1989 and 1980.

MTV reports that this one episode with Lily Rabe as Wournos may be all fans get. She has already checked out of the “Hotel.”

In her role as Aileen Wournos, Lily Rabe didn’t get the benefit of expert costuming like that of Charlize Theron in the film. In fact, one source calls the costume and makeup Rabe were “cheesy.”

Lily Rabe’s character seduced a drunken John, despite the cheesy get-up, and bound him. When he escaped, he went straight to her I.D. and learned she was exactly who she claimed to be.

An aside: Did Lyly Rabe feel a bit silly playing a dead serial killer who carries I.D.?

MTV is begging American Horror Story for more Lily Rabe. Do you concur? Would her presence add lots to the upcoming episodes this season?

  • Gwendoline Christie Will Replace Lily Rabe In “Mockingay-Part 2”

The worlds of Game Of Thrones and The Hunger Games will be emerging with the latest casting of Gwendoline Christie. She will be replacing Lily Rabe as Commander Lyme in the final installment of the Hunger Games series.

Gwendoline Christie is now set to take over the role of Lyme, one of the leaders of District 13 who was a past victor in the Hunger Games, hailing originally from District 2. Fans of the series have not even seen Rabe in the role yet, but she has already been replaced.

Lily Rabe was forced to drop out of the final film of the series, but she will be seen in Mockingjay-Part 1, which will be released later this year. She left the last film due to a scheduling conflict, and she had a previous commitment to perform Much Ado about Nothing opposite Hamish Linklater at Shakespeare in the Park this summer in New York.

Game Of Thrones is one of the most popular shows on television, and likely helped with Christie getting the role. Season 4 of the series premieres on April 6th, as fans everywhere get ready for the new season.

The first two films have already been wildly successful, and have earned over $1.5 billion worldwide. The series has also turned Jennifer Lawrence into one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, and unrelated to the film, she also received an Academy Award nomination in 2013 and 2014.

The death of Phillip Seymour Hffman also brought his role in the series into question, and it was discussed how to replace him, or if the films will be delayed. Luckily for fans of the series, they will still be keeping their original release dates, but it will also be emotional without Hoffman in the final films.

Gwendoline Christie is known for her role as the warrior Brienne of Tarth on Game Of Thrones. She is likely to bring her aggressive skills as a warrior in the violent HBO series to the big screen, and be able to deliver a special performance as two of the biggest fantasy series connect. One actress from Game Of Thrones, Natalie Dormer, had already been chosen to join the Hunger Games series.

The final two installments of The Hunger Games series are currently being shot in Atlanta, and will switch production to Paris and Berlin later this year, where the filming of the franchise will conclude.

Are Game Of Thrones fans excited to see Gwendoline Christie heading to the big screen? Lionsgate will release Mockingjay – Part 1 on Nov. 21, 2014 with Mockingjay – Part 2 due to come out the following year.

  • Stevie Nicks on American Horror Story: Coven

Stevie Nicks on American Horror Story: Coven

The queen of one of rock’s most influential bands joins forces with one of television’s most popular shows to entertain and spook audiences everywhere. That’s right, it’s finally time for Stevie Nicks to make her much-talked about appearance on the third season of American Horror Story: Coven.

It’s true there’s been a lot of buzz about Nicks, but surprisingly the talk has mostly been generated on the show. Lily Rabe’s character Misty Day, a bayou, swamp witch obsessed with the band and the head diva, constantly references how Nicks is the “supreme” witch. Fleetwood Mac’s music plays the soundtrack to almost every scene that Rabe’s character is featured in giving Nick’s eventual arrival even more buildup.

But fans of the show and band have won’t have to wait much longer for the grand appearance of Miss Nicks because the “twirling” front-woman is the guest of honor for tonight’s episode appropriately titled, “The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks.”

Jessica Lange’s character (Fiona) calls upon Nicks’ in an effort to out Day as the next Supreme.

So what did Nicks’ have to say about her time on the set with some of television’s scariest, most badass, witchy-women?

“I felt like I had entered into the coolest club ever,” she said. ” Everybody was just so supportive of me because they knew that’s not what I do.”

Nicks’ even dished on Lange saying, “she is scary, right? Oh my God. And she’s beautiful. She moves like a cat. And she’s always in beautiful black, not the cheap black–it’s Chanel, all the good stuff. She’s totally stylish. And, uh, let’s not forget, she’s also crazy.”

Nicks’ even went on to discuss her early career and accusations of being a witch.

“In the beginning of my career, the whole idea that some wacky, creepy people were writing, “You’re a witch, you’re a witch!” was so arresting,” she said. And there I am like, “No, I’m not! I just wear black because it makes me look thinner you idiots.” I stopped wearing black for like a year. Then I was just like, “OK, just bring it freaks. I’m not going to wear apricot.”

She then said, “So when all this came along, I was like, “what, really, am I going to turn this down because of all that past nonsense?” I’m way too old and I’ve been through way too much to give up an opportunity like this. I’m fearless. You have to be fearless in life.”

  • Lily Rabe Is Super Excited About Stevie Nicks

Lily Rabe, as any “American Horror Story” fan knows, plays a character obsessed with Stevie Nicks. But the actress didn’t have to look far for inspiration, because she herself is a rabid fan of the ethereal singer, and she is so excited about Nicks paying a visit to the show that she can hardly speak.

“I can’t really talk about,” she said in a recent interview. “And not because I’m not allowed to talk about it. I can’t talk about it because my palms just start sweating and my heart starts racing. I’m seeing spots actually.”

Since the introduction of Rabe’s character Misty Day this season, her love for the “Rhiannon” singer was evident. Misty, a witch with the power to resurrect the dead, brings herself back after being burned at the stake, but to a lonely fate; the young Louisiana girl is forced into hiding in a shack, where she keeps the loneliness at bay with an 8-track player and some Stevie tapes.

“She’s obsessed with Stevie Nicks, and so am I. Isn’t it wonderful? Stevie really is her hero, her greatest inspiration and who she lives for. It’s like a love affair. Without giving much away, she’s alone for quite a period of time. She’s a bit of a loner. She’s isolated. Stevie is really her main relationship when we meet her again. It’s been so fantastic,” Rabe says about the newest season.

The actress says that Ryan Murphy, the show’s creator, was in touch with Nicks a while back but never held out hope that she would actually agree to an appearance.

“If I meet her, I actually think I might die on the spot. I know Ryan has been in touch with her and there are emails going around. I think I actually might just black out and die. I don’t get that crazy about a lot of people. I’m usually pretty cool, calm, and collected. But I don’t know if could behave properly. I love her so much. She’s just a beautiful creature,” she said.

So far the details surrounding Nicks’ appearance have been shrouded in secrecy, and it sounds like Rabe won’t believe it until she sees it.

“People kept saying, ‘Do you think Stevie will come on the show?’ And I was like, ‘What?! That’ll never happen! Of course not!’ Because that’s a sort of defense mechanism about a thing that you just really want,” Rabe said. “It’s very exciting, to say the least.”
