  • Leslie Mann, Dakota Johnson Hit on Hot Reporter While Promoting “How to Be Single”

Leslie Mann and Dakota Johnson star in the upcoming film, How to Be Single, that premiered in New York City this week.

The two became known for something else in recent days, too. Dakota Johnson and Leslie Mann flirted mercilessly with a reporter at the end of a long day promoting their film, and a video of them in the act went viral.

While a guest on Good Morning America on Friday, Leslie Mann shared the details of their flirtations.

“What happened is, that was at the very end of a long junket day where you’re doing four-minute interviews back to back for like three or four hours, and we just got a little crazy,” she said. “And we just hit on this guy. It’s like we forgot we were being interviewed, but he was such a breath of fresh air. And it was fun to see him take off his shirt. Not all the way, but he unbuttoned it. We were like the creepy girls, but you got to do what you got to do to make it through the day.”

Fortunately Leslie Mann and Dakota Johnson–along with costar Rebel Wilson–will get some rest before too long, since How to Be Single opens nationwide on February 12. That means promo for the film should slow down–at least a bit.

  • Leslie Mann And Dakota Johnson Flirt Like Pros With Reporter During Press Junket

Leslie Mann and Dakota Johnson have found a way to make humdrum press junkets a little more interesting.

The two lovely actresses were out promoting their upcoming comedy film, How to Be Single, when they found themselves being interviewed by a rather attractive reporter. Seeing an opportunity to change the pace of the usual question-and-answer routine without compromising the promotion of the film, they proceeded to hit on him instead.

The reporter, whose name is Chris Van Vliet from WSVN Miami, seemed to be to enjoying himself at the beginning of the interview, when Leslie Mann complimented him about his socks and said he was handsome.

“Are you single?” asked Mann, to which Johnson followed with a classic, “Do you work out a lot?”

At that point, the interview had officially been hijacked, more so when Leslie Mann asks him to take off his shirt. When the reporter jokingly responds, “Which one?” Dakota Johnson quickly says, “All of them.”

After settling with unbuttoning three of his shirt buttons, Van Vliet tries to continue the interview by trying out a couple of pick-up lines on the two female stars.

“Are you Google? Because you’re exactly what I’ve been searching for,” to which Leslie Mann and Dakota Johnson immediately expressed their disapproval.

“Don’t ever say that again,” said Johnson. “That’s terrible,” said Mann.

However, the reporter managed to redeem himself with another pick-up line: ““I don’t have a library card but can I check you out,” which probably earned their nods more for the delivery rather than the line itself.

Leslie Mann, Rebel Wilson, and Dakota Johnson Star in ‘How to Be Single’

The film is based on the novel of the same name, which was written by Liz Tuccillo – the same woman who co-wrote the self-help book, He’s Just Not That Into You and the 2005 TV series, Related. How to Be Single stars Leslie Mann, Dakota Johnson, Rebel Wilson, and Alison Brie, and is set to hit theaters on February 12.

  • Leslie Mann, Dakota Johnson Get “Handsome” Reporter To Unbutton His Shirt

Leslie Mann and Dakota Johnson seem to have bonded during their time together on the set of How To Be Single, and now the duo are having a blast on the film’s press tour.

Mann and Johnson sat down recently for an interview with a “handsome” reporter and proceeded to refuse to answer his questions unless he gave them what they wanted; namely, an unbuttoned shirt.

“You look like you have really big muscles. Do you work out a lot? You look like you pump iron,” Dakota asks after Leslie tells him he’s handsome and asks if he’s single.

The reporter, Chris Van Vliet, was a good sport and went along with the women, unbuttoning his shirt and giving them some lines of his own.

Of course, Mann is happily married to writer/director Judd Apatow, and the couple share two beautiful girls (both of whom made an appearance in his film Knocked Up, and This Is 40, which Mann co-starred in). Leslie and the girls are often featured on Judd’s Instagram account, where the couple share moments from a life often peppered with celebrity sightings.

Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow met on the set of The Cable Guy in 1997, and the rest was history. Apatow says he felt a connection with her immediately, unlike any he’d ever felt before, and recalls telling someone on set that he was going to marry her someday.

“There goes the future Mrs. Apatow,” Apatow said. “I had a soul connection instantly. I meant it. That’s why I remember it.”

  • Kristen Bell To Take Over For Leslie Mann In “Mom” Comedy?

Kristen Bell has reportedly signed on to play a “bad mom” alongside Christina Applegate and Mila Kunis in an upcoming comedy, and one of those roles was reportedly reserved for Judd Apatow’s wife, actress Leslie Mann, until the power couple dropped out of the film.

Apatow was originally on board to produce and Mann was set to star, but they announced they were leaving the project earlier this year due to a “timing conflict”.

“We’re grateful for everything that [Apatow] contributed and where he got us,” Mercer Media’s Bill Block said.

The film is still moving along according to Block, who also noted that the location–originally New York City–could change. The Hangover writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are reportedly on board to pen the script.

“Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are masters at creating relatable characters that audiences instantly embrace, and then putting them in hilarious real-life situations for great comedic results. This film provides the rare opportunity for a half-dozen strong female lead roles, and we are thrilled to have assembled an exceptional cast led by Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate, Kristen Bell. We can’t wait to start production and be part of the magic this team will bring to the screen,” STX president and CCO Oren Aviv said in a statement.

The movie is being described as The Hangover with moms”, and while Kristen Bell is most recently known for playing a perfectly sweet and innocent Disney princess, she’s not without a raunchy sense of humor, as she displayed in the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall (in which she also acted alongside Mila Kunis).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The story centers on an overachieving mother with a seemingly perfect life whose stress lines are one bad day from cracking. Fed up, she joins two other overstressed mothers, leading them on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities, which includes going on a wild un-mom-like binge of freedom, fun and self-indulgence. The course of action lands them on a collision course with the PTA Queen Bee and her blindly devoted clique of ‘perfect’ moms.”

  • Nicki Minaj Talks Foray into Film World in ‘The Other Woman’

Nicki Minaj has made her foray into the film world by playing a small role in the recent premiere The Other Woman. Starring alongside Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton, and Leslie Mann, Minaj was solicited for the role while she was in the throes of her judging gig on American Idol. Director Nick Cassavetes noticed her on the singing competition show and called her in for an interview.

“I wanted to do a movie, but I wasn’t actively pursuing a role,” Minaj recalled in a telephone interview this week. “This came out of nowhere. I didn’t even have an hour for myself, and I didn’t know if I was gonna be able to do it.”

Even though she only had to be on the movie set in New York City for a week in order to complete her role, Nicki Minaj barely got there on time. In just the 24 hours prior to her arrival she finished filming American Idol, performed live at the Billboard Music Awards and then hopped a red-eye for her flight from Los Angeles to New York.

Performing in a film was a far cry from what Nicki had experienced performing in music videos.

“On a video,” she said, “I have all the control over what’s happening. I know in advance how it’s gonna go. But on a movie, they’ll tell you you’re shooting at noon and you might not start until 5 p.m. It’s a lot of waiting.”

Minaj prepared for her role ahead of time by exchanging a series of text messages with Alex Cassavetes. Cameron Diaz was very supportive of her while on set, too. In fact, she told Nicki that she made her role more likable on screen than it appeared in the script.

Nicki shared an Instagram photo of herself this past week thanking fans for making The Other Woman the number one film at the box office.

Back to work now on The PinkPrint–her third album–Nicki Minaj hopes her first foray into the film world won’t be her last.

“The movie thing — I definitely want to work at it more,” she said. “I want to work on a character for my next role and take time out of my schedule to work on it — like sit there for a month and create someone. So yes, I want to do movies again. But am I gonna go tomorrow and start shooting? Probably not.”

Have you checked out Nicki Minaj–along with Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton–in The Other Woman? Critics say she was used merely as “a prop,” but fans will no doubt love seeing her in action.

  • ‘The Other Woman’ Debuts at No. 1 at the Box Office

Cameron Diaz’s newest comedy The Other Woman hit theaters this weekend and went straight to the top. The film made $25 million in its opening weekend, enough to kick Captain America: Winter Soldier out of the top spot, which brought in $16 million in its fourth week of release (for a total of $225 million US ticket sales).

The Other Woman stars Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton who team up to take on the man that’s three-timing them all. Leslie Mann plays the wife of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who many may recognize from HBO’s Game of Thrones. When Leslie finds out her husband’s been sleeping with both Cameron and Kate, instead of hating them, she becomes their friends in mutual hatred of Coster-Waldau, and together they embark on an epic revenge plan.

Despite poor critical reviews (The New York Times called it “dumb, lazy, and unoriginal”) and a 25% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, audiences still rated the film a B+ on CinemaScore. Clearly audiences (who were 75% women) responded to message of female empowerment behind the film and applauded its efforts.

“‘The Other Woman’ once again proves the power of female comedies,” says Spencer Klein, sales manager for 20th Century Fox. The $40 million movie “significantly outperformed” expectations: Fox was only hoping to see $17 million this weekend. “It’s been a while for a female-driven comedy like this,” he said, adding that the movie had become something of a “girls’ night out” experience for gal pals across the country.

  • Kate Upton: ‘The Other Woman’ Bikini Scene was “Uncomfortable”

Kate Upton says she felt “a little uncomfortable” during filming of her bikini scene in The Other Woman.

It was a sentiment that surprised some, given the fact that Upton has made several appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, even gracing the cover in 2012 and 2013.

Upton’s character Amber makes her first appearance almost halfway through the movie in the form of a slow-motion-running-on-the-beach-in-a-bikini scene that brings to mind Bo Derek’s iconic performance in the 1979 comedy 10.

Upton discussed the scene when she appeared with co-stars Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann on Good Morning America on Wednesday.

She said Diaz and Mann noticed she was feeling uncomfortable and acted to alleviate her discomfort:

“These two saw that I was feeling a little uncomfortable — because anyone’s uncomfortable when that many people are staring at you — but these two came and ran beside me offscreen,” she said. “I’ve never had support like that before and it was just so amazing that I got that on my first film experience.”

At the April 2 London premiere, Upton revealed that she, Diaz, and Mann became quite close while filming The Other Woman.

“[Diaz and Mann] are such inspirations, amazing actresses and even better people, so I was really lucky,” she said. “We grew as friends and I also learned so much just watching them, they’re phenomenal, just hilarious. We had girls’ night all the time.”

    Diaz and Mann concurred:

“I love these women. They … literally could not have been better … partners,” Diaz said. “We just had so much fun together … They’re such great women. They’re such good-hearted, nurturing generous lovely women who are so talented and are completely just the best partners you could have.”

“We had so much fun together … we really became very close friends,” Mann added.

The Other Woman marks Upton’s third and largest feature film role. In a red carpet interview in London, she said that when she started modeling she didn’t have anyone to help her find her path or give her advice but acting has turned out differently. She feels she can call Diaz and Mann whenever she needs help or advice, or even just a relaxing girls’ night out.

Upton’s sentiments are the real life version of how Diaz envisages the underlying theme of The Other Woman:

“It’s a story about female friendship. Three women become friends and don’t fight over a lying, cheating man. They realize it’s not worth it. Instead, they come to each other’s rescue and help one another through heartbreak.”

  • Kate Upton’s Bikini Scene Generates Buzz

Kate Upton’s Bikini Scene Generates Buzz

We first meet Kate Upton’s character Amber in the Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook) girl-powered revenge comedy The Other Woman as she’s running on the beach. It’s an obvious wink at the moment Bo Derek blasted through the pop culture stratosphere in the 1979 movie 10.

The Other Woman’s tagline, “After discovering her boyfriend is married, Carly soon meets the wife he’s been cheating on. And when yet another affair is discovered, all three women team up to plot mutual revenge on the three-timing SOB.”

Carly, the girlfriend, is played by former model-turned-actress Cameron Diaz. The wife (Kate) is played by comedy veteran Leslie Mann. The SOB (Mark) is Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, you may know him better as Jaimie Lannister from The Game of Thrones. We don’t get to meet Kate Upton’s character until about half way through the movie, that’s the beach scene, where Kate and Carly are checking her out after they discover that the SOB has a third girl he’s involved with. “I feel like she ups our group average,” Kate says to Carly as they ogle the buxon blonde Amber.

The 21-year-old Upton describes what it was like to film the slow-motion beach scene and the support she received from her co-stars, “It was funny because when we were filming that scene, whenever you go to a beach, everyone’s wearing bikinis, so it’s just pretty normal. It’s part of life. But when you’re filming a bikini scene, nobody’s wearing a bikini, it’s only you and 60 crew members. And these two saw that I was feeling a little uncomfortable, because anyone’s uncomfortable when that many people are staring at you.”

Upton’s beach scene is already drawing buzz. Todd McCarthy, critic from The Hollywood Reporter wrote, “Men may not mind going along as well just to check out Kate Upton as this generation’s 10.” Nathan Rabin of The Dissolve describes the moment that Upton enters the movie, “Amber (Kate Upton), a buxom beauty introduced jogging on the beach in slow motion, her cleavage bouncing hypnotically under the life-giving sun. (It’s almost as if the filmmakers cast a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model solely for the sake of the long, lingering shot of her modeling a swimsuit).”

The is Kate Upton’s third role in a feature film. She had small parts in The Three Stooges and Tower Heist. She only has a few lines in the The Other Woman, but is sounds like she makes a lasting impression.

  • Leslie Mann, Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton Stun on ‘The Other Woman’ Red Carpet

Leslie Mann, Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton Stun on ‘The Other Woman’ Red Carpet

Leslie Mann, Cameron Diaz, and Kate Upton wore distinctly different yet equally stunning gowns to the Los Angeles premiere of The Other Woman Monday night.

The premiere for the romantic comedy, which hits theaters Friday, was held at the historical Regency Village Theatre in Westwood.

Mann was said to have “stole the show” in a two-piece floor-length bright fuchsia and orange Monique Lhuillier ensemble and matching Oscar Tiye strappy sandal heels.

Diaz chose basic black in the form of a short, strapless Stella McCartney gown with a plunging neckline. She added interest with a pair of Manolo Blahnik beaded ankle wrap heels.

Former Sports Illustrated model Upton went with short and strapless too. Her gray Dolce & Gabbana minidress featured silvery flower appliques that matched her shiny silver Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.

In The Other Woman the three strike up a comical and rather unlikely friendship after discovering they’re all sleeping with the same man. They end up conspiring against the unsuspecting philanderer who is played by Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

“It’s a story about female friendship. Three women become friends and don’t fight over a lying, cheating man. They realize it’s not worth it. Instead, they come to each other’s rescue and help one another through heartbreak,” Diaz said of the film.

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) originally gave The Other Woman an R rating for nudity but downgraded to PG-13 after a ratings appeal.

“I respect what the MPAA stands for,” Diaz, who attended the hearing, said. “We need guidelines, and I appreciate that. But I thought, in this instance, it wasn’t the right ruling for our film.”

Mann’s husband Judd Apatow attended the premiere along with their daughters Maude, 15, and Iris, 11.

A writer and producer known for his work on films such as Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin and the hit HBO series Girls, Apatow commented on the ratings appeal and American attitudes toward nudity in movies:

“It’s interesting because there is more violence than sex scenes in PG-13 movies released here, yet overseas, there is not [as much] tolerance for violence as there is with nudity.”

An after party was held at the W Hotel in Westwood.

  • Kate Upton Talks Sex Symbol Image And Criticism

Ever since that video of Kate Upton doing the Dougie dance went viral, she’s pretty much been all over the place. From magazine covers, to red carpets, and she’s even broken down Hollywood doors by starring along side Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann in the new film The Other Woman.

And it’s not just that. She’s also become a new kind of sex symbol, one that isn’t just beautiful, but funny, social media savvy, and unpretentious.

But the 21 year old said she’s very mindful not to come off too sexy, and she believes there’s a fine line between being alluring and being cheesy, and she does her best to tow that line properly, she said.

“There’s a line between becoming, you know, a little cheap and cheesy versus being sexy,” she said in an interview with Vogue magazine. “And I try to be very careful of that line.”

And as far as the videos of her doing the Dougie dance and another one of the blonde beauty doing the Cat Daddy dance in a red bikini, she said it’s something she would have done even if she wasn’t famous, but admits she might do things differently today.

“Its just a part of my personality,” said Upton. “And maybe some things I took too far, but I like being sexy.”

She also spoke a little about receiving criticism and says because she’s not ultra thin, some people give her a lot of trouble for it, but she does her best to ignore it all.

“The things that they’re rejecting are things that I can’t change,” stated Upton.

“I can’t change my bra size. They’re natural. I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can’t change some things. I really just live my life. I love my body. It’s what God gave me. I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies great.”

  • Cameron Diaz Says Don’t Worry About Infidelity

Cameron Diaz expects to be cheated on.

Well, sort of, because in an interview with OK! Magazine, the 41 year old said everyone will eventually be on the receiving end of somebody cheating on them, and it’s hard to avoid.

“Everybody has been cheated on,” said Diaz.

“Everyone will be cheated on…..I can’t fix that. I don’t know how. I don’t have any judgement on anybody. I don’t know how to fix the problem.”

All of Diaz’s cheating talk has to do with her new film The Other Woman, where she plays a mistress and eventually meets her boyfriend’s wife, played by Leslie Mann. The film is supposed to be released on April 25.

In the film, Diaz and Mann become friends and eventually seek revenge on the cheating husband, which is the main focus of the movie, and it was crucial to Diaz to not only cover the cheating parts but also cover the friendship between the two women.

Plus, she says people shouldn’t fixate or worry about getting cheated on, because heartache and betrayal are just parts of life sometimes.

“My statement is that I am actually not interested in making movies about men cheating on women; it’s not at all what I’m interested in,” said the California native. “We are human beings, we are complicated.”

“You cannot go through life without tallying up a few scars, you cannot go through life unscathed, it’s just what it is. It’s all meant to happen, take your lessons, figure it out, move on.”

And although Diaz has been linked to some of the most famous men in Hollywood, she says her girlfriends are most important to her and she takes the bond with them very seriously.

“I exist for all my girlfriends,” she says. “I am very, very, very fortunate; my friends are incredible and I am very lucky to have a lot of really solid, good friends–girlfriends and male friends–who I can just rely on.”
