  • Mischa Barton Cries During Brutal Criticism On “Dancing With The Stars”

Mischa Barton had a rough first dance on Monday’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, leaving fans wondering if she can recover.

Mischa Barton danced a tango with her partner Artem Chigvintsev and she clearly worked hard on it.

However, Mischa Barton‘s performance wasn’t nearly enough to impress judge Len Goodman. And he wan’t easy on her.

He said, “It’s not my nature to be nasty. That wasn’t a dance, that was walking…There wasn’t a little bit too much just walking around…and not enough tango, attack, flare, fire — that was all missing.”

Mischa Barton was visibly moved to tears as she earned a total of 16 points.

Her partner came to her defense after the show, saying, “The thing is, when someone comes into a competition like this, it’s quite hard to commit in general, and then to come out for the first time and perform live, doing something you’ve never done before, I feel like there should be more encouragement.”

Perhaps Mischa Barton was suffering some stage fright or dancing jitters.

hey guys we need a team name #helpus!! The crazier the better! Something strong! @theartemc @dancingabc

In a blog post before the show, Mischa Barton wrote, “I have to admit, I’m a little terrified to step out in front of that live audience for the first time tonight. I’ve done stage productions before, but this is so much more stressful. There is so little time to rehearse on the actual ballroom floor.”

She added, “Artem tells me that he’s had partners who are great in rehearsal and then get on stage and have no idea what is going on. Going into tonight, I just have to have faith that we’ve worked hard enough and hope for the best!”

Well, she didn’t get the best, but hopefully Mischa Barton can recover next week.

  • Julianne Hough, Brother Derek Not Returning for Season 22 of “Dancing With the Stars”

Julianne Hough has confirmed she won’t return as one of the judges on the upcoming 22nd season of Dancing With the Stars.

“I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing,” Julianne Hough says in a recent interview with People magazine. “The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family.”

Dancing With the Stars producer Rob Wade also spoke with People about Julianne Hough’s departure.

“Julianne will always be a part of the Dancing with the Stars family and we hope to see her back in the ballroom in the future,” he said.

Julianne Hough agrees it’s not “goodbye,” but “until we meet again,” instead.

“I promise it’s not the last you’ll see of me in the ballroom,” she says.

Julianne isn’t the only member of the Hough family not returning for season 22. Brother and pro dancer Derek Hough has confirmed he won’t be returning either. Derek was partnered with Bindi Irwin last season, and the two danced their way to that coveted mirror ball trophy.

So what will Derek Hough be up to if he isn’t coaching “stars” on Dancing With the Stars? He is starring on Broadway in a production of Singin’ in the Rain.

“Proud to be apart of another adventure with The Weinsten Company. #Broadway #singingintherainmusical #classic #2017,” he captioned an Instagram post just days ago.

Len Goodman is returning to Dancing With the Stars, and will replace Julianne Hough on the judge’s panel.

What’s your take on the upcoming absence of both Hough siblings on Dancing With the Stars?

Season 22 just won’t be the same without Derek and Julianne Hough.

  • Julianne Hough Not Returning to Upcoming Season of “Dancing With the Stars”

Julianne Hough served as a judge on the last season of Dancing With the Stars. She, along with Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba watched Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough dance their way to a mirror ball trophy. Hough isn’t returning to the next season of DWTS, however. Len Goodman is coming back, and he will take her place.

“I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing,” Julianne Hough says in an interview with People magazine.

Hough agrees it’s not “goodbye,” but “until we meet again,” instead.

“I promise it’s not the last you’ll see of me in the ballroom,” she says.

Are you disappointed to learn Julianne Hough isn’t returning as a judge for season 22 of Dancing With the Stars?

Fans can tune it to watch Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba judge a brand new group of contestants on Dancing With the Stars when season 22 premieres on March 21.

  • “Dancing With the Stars” Awards Mirror Ball Trophy to Bindi Irwin, Derek Hough–Bindi Hopes Dad Steve Irwin is Proud

Dancing With the Stars crowned a new winner on Tuesday night, and she comes from the land down under. Bindi Irwin and pro partner Derek Hough danced away with that coveted mirror ball trophy.

Of her Dancing With the Stars win, Bindi Irwin said she hopes her late father, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, would be proud of this achievement.

“I couldn’t even imagine if [he] was here right now,” she told reporters following her big win. “Honestly, I hope that he’d be proud of me. And I hope that I am able to carry-on in his footsteps and make sure that his legacy lives on.”

“His strength is what keeps me going,” the new Dancing With the Stars champion added. “Life is filled with so many challenges and beautiful moments and to be able to share them with my family and the ones that you love the most. That’s what’s most important.”

Nick Carter and pro partner Sharna Burgess took second place in the Dancing With the Stars finale, with Alek Skarlatos and Witney Carson coming in third.

Dancing With the Stars will return for its 22nd season beginning on March 21st. Beloved judge Len Goodman announced during the finale that he is returning then.

Did you see Bindi Irwin win the mirror ball trophy on Tuesday night? She was favored to win this season of Dancing With the Stars from early in the competition.

  • Sadie Robertson: ‘DWTS’ Contestant Congratulates Brother

Sadie Robertson took a break from her Dancing With the Stars rehearsals this week to congratulate her big brother John Luke Robertson. John Luke popped the question to his girlfriend Mary Kate McEachern and she said yes. The Duck Dynasty family member became officially engaged over the weekend.

Sadie offered her congratulations to both her brother and his fiancee via Instagram.

Sadie Robertson was spotted just a few days before her brother’s engagement wearing her hair in a pair of adorable braids as she and DWTS pro dancer Mark Ballas prepared for tonight’s show. The two are dancing a rumba for this week’s competition.

Pitbull is filling in as guest judge for Len Goodman on tonight’s episode of Dancing With the Stars. Sadie Robertson will wear a ballerina-inspired costume that is gorgeous, but a bit on the sexy side, too. Duck Dynasty dad Willie Robertson must first approve any costumes Sadie wears on stage.

“I feel like a ballerina in it,” told E! before the show started. “It’s so beautiful. I love it.”

Maybe if Willie Robertson has a problem with Sadie’s costume, he’ll be too excited about son John Luke’s engagement to enforce his modesty rules this week. Even though the outfit is beautiful, it is sheer and a bit low cut.

Congratulations are certainly in order for the grandson of Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson and his future bride Mary Kate McEachern. And best wishes to Sadie Robertson on Monday’s Dancing With the Stars performance.
