  • Britney Spears Injures Ankle On Stage, Postpones This Weekend’s Performances

Britney Spears injured her ankle during one of her Las Vegas shows earlier this week, and is now canceling this weekend’s performances as a result of that injury.

It was Wednesday night at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino when Britney Spears danced her way across the stage, but suddenly fell to the floor in the middle of her routine.

She initially believed she was just fine, and assured fans of her ‘Piece of Me’ tour exactly that via Twitter.

It seems the ‘Toxic’ singer wasn’t as fine as she first believed, however. On Thursday she announced that this weekend’s shows would have to be postponed.

Britney Spears was bolstered by the support of her fans, even in light of her mishap and subsequent ankle injury.

You can see Britney Spears take that tumble on stage at about the 1:45 mark in the video clip below.

Not too long before her tumble on stage, Spears got together with rapper Iggy Azalea. The two collaborated on a new song to be featured on Spears’s upcoming album.

Hopefully Britney Spears makes a quick and full recovery and is out on stage at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, dancing and singing her way through her ‘Piece of Me’ tour in no time.

And hopefully those fans who are missing this weekend’s shows can get back to Las Vegas when they are rescheduled.

  • Rene Angelil: Celine Dion Feeds Cancer-Stricken Husband Via Feeding Tube

Rene Angelil is battling cancer for the second time, and wife Celine Dion feeds him three times a day via a feeding tube. In an interview with Deborah Roberts that will air on Wednesday, Dion explains what like is like right now for her family.

“We are taking life one day at a time,” she said in her ABC News interview. “[But] we are choosing to live.”

Rene Angelil has throat cancer. Celine Dion has taken the past year off from her singing career in order to care for him, as well as for the couple’s three sons. She will return to her Las Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace this summer.

Deborah Roberts asks Celine Dion what life has been like caring for Rene Angelil, her husband of 21 years, in Wednesday’s upcoming interview.

“Oh, come on, the fans, they know that I’m an open book. I sing. That’s the only thing I know,” Dion says.

“He can’t use his mouth. He can’t eat, so I feed him. He’s got a feeding tube. I have to feed him three times a day. I do this myself, and so I feed my husband and feed my kids,” she adds.

Celine Dion and Rene Angelil married back in 1994. The couple has three sons. Rene-Charles is 14, and twins Eddy and Nelson are four.

Angelil was first diagnosed with cancer in 1999. He had surgery in December of 2013 to remove a tumor from his throat.

The future sounds a bit uncertain for Rene Angelil, but something that’s clearly certain is Celine Dion’s love for her husband.

“We are taking life one day at a time,” Dion tells Deborah Roberts. “[But] we are choosing to live.”

Tune in to ABC News on Wednesday to see Deborah Roberts interview Celine Dion and talk more about Rene Angelil.

  • Olivia Newton-John Rocks ‘Grease’ Leather Pants in Vegas

Olivia Newton-John arrived in Las Vegas wearing a pair of black leather pants like the ones she wore during the carnival scene in the hit film Grease. She starred along with John Travolta in the film that received the Best Motion Picture Award at the 1979 Golden Globes–36 years ago. Now she is ready to lay down some roots in Vegas for a while as she embarks on a 45 show residency at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino.

In celebration of her arrival Olivia not only wore black leather pants, she also rode in the back of the same Ford Mercury Cadillac featured in the drag-racing scene in the film. Following her ride she was presented with a key to the city.

The singer and actress tweeted about how excited she was to be in Las Vegas and how thrilled she was to receive such a warm welcome.

As far as those black leather leggings go, Olivia Newton-John told fans they weren’t the actual pair she wore in Grease. Back in 2012 she mentioned during an interview that the originals were tucked safely away in her closet and that she would likely one day auction them off and donate the proceeds to her cancer and wellness center.

“They were made in the ’50s and we made the movie in the late ’70s so they were already 25 years old when I wore them and the zipper broke so they had to sew me into them,” she explained.

That no doubt proved tedious when she had to use the restroom.

“That was a challenge,” she joked. “We took breaks and they had to unsew me.”

It would certainly be fun for fans if John Travolta would pay a visit to Las Vegas and join Olivia Newton-John during one or more of her shows at the Flamingo. Avid Grease fans would no doubt consider that to be a dream come true.
