Kanye West actually has a good side. That’s not something everyone gets to see. The guy who is known for tooting his own horn–loudly–and making rude comments on stage showed that good side this weekend. While Scott Disick was away, cheating on Kourtney Kardashian over the 4th of July weekend, Kanye West was playing daddy to their five-year-old son, Mason Disick.
Kourtney Kardashian opted to stay at home with baby Reign and two-year-old daughter Penelope this weekend, but Kanye West decided Mason Disick needed some time out of the house. He took him–along with daughter North West–to New York City for 4th of July fireworks and fun. When wife Kim Kardashian West joined Scottie Pippen’s wife Larsa for lunch, Kanye West took the kids–including Sophia Pippen–to the movies.
“Kanye took Mason and Sophia to the movies after Kim and Larsa went to lunch at Cipriani,” Page Six reports.

Scott Disick reportedly hasn’t returned to the Calabasas home he shared with Kourtney Kardashian and their children for over a month. Following his escapades and photos that made it quite clear he was cheating on Kourtney with stylist Chloe Bartoli, Kourtney Kardashian broke things off with the father of her three children.
Kudos to Kanye West for stepping up to the plate and providing some guy time for little Mason Disick. He likely realized that with his father missing for more than a month that the little boy needed a father figure for at least a little while.

People can say what they will about Kanye West, but he likely went up several notches in many people’s books with his actions toward little Mason Disick this weekend.
