  • Lady Gaga’s New Album “Artpop” Releasing as iOS App

Lady Gaga, always the social media/internet trendsetter, has decided to embrace the digital culture in a whole new way. Today, Mother Monster announced that her next album, “Artpop,” is going to be released in app form.

iPhone and iPad apps, to be specific (sorry Androids). It will also be available as a web application.

Gaga says that the album will be a “multimedia experience” that will contain chats, music videos for every song, bonus music, games, fashion, magazines, and other interactive content.

Lady Gaga used the big album news to promote her social network Little Monsters, which was launched in beta back in January. The site requires membership to navigate, so apart from making a bid announcement this was a pretty good way to get people to sign up for the social network.

“You inspired me to create something that communicated with images, because YOU do. YOU communicate with me and each other with .gifs and pictures, and artwork, graphics ALL DAY 24/7. YOU’RE an ARTPOP generation. I’m hoping you will all continue to grow together and stay connected through your creativity. Much love, Gaga. P.S. (Start asking for iPADS FOR XMAS!!),” she said in a post.

Everything is set to launch in the Spring on 2013. If you’re a little more traditional when it comes to how you get your new music, don’t fret. “Artpop” will also come in physical and regular digital formats.

  • Two-Faced Cat To Be In Lady Gaga Video?

Two-Faced Cat To Be In Lady Gaga Video?

Venus is quite an unusual-looking creature, like something from a comic book perhaps; but she’s quite real, as her owners were quick to point out on the “Today” show, and she came by her striking visage naturally…although some still think it’s a trick.

“We’ve heard everything from Photoshop to we’ve dyed half of her face,’’ owner Christina said. “This is just the way she was born, that’s it.’’

The cat, who started out life as a feral farm cat, has since been adopted by Christina and her husband, Chris, and has become the star of viral photos that garnered over a million views on Reddit. Her somewhat shocking features are more than likely the result of being a chimera cat, which is “composed of two populations of genetically distinct cells that originated from different zygotes”. Her face looks almost split down the middle, with one half resembling a black cat with a green eye and the other half ginger with a blue eye.

All the attention the unique feline is getting could win her owners a bit more fame; rumor has it she might be up for some high-profile animal modeling gigs, and could even land in a Lady Gaga video.

  • Eminem Facebook Likes Soar Above 60 Million

The Real Slim Shady is the official king of Facebook.

The rapper has just crossed the 60 million “likes” threshold – the first person to ever do so. At 60.1 million likes (at the time of this post), Eminem is more popular on the social network than Rihanna, Shakira, Lady Gaga, and the late Michael Jackson – all of whom sport 50+ million likes themselves.

Although Eminem rules Facebook, he has some work to do if he wants the same sort of influence over the Twittersphere. Marshall Mathers (@eminem) has just shy of 12 million Twitter followers, which may sound like a huge amount. And it is – until you compare it with the undisputed Queen of Twitter, Lady Gaga. She currently sports 27.85 million followers.

According to PageData, Eminem will probably remain King of the Facebook likes for the foreseeable future. That’s because he’s gaining more likes per day than any of his closest competitors. As of right now, Eminem is gaining 31,156 new likes every day. To put that in perspective, Shakira, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga are gaining 22,234, 22,142, and 6,437 per day, respectively.

Although Eminem is the most-liked person on Facebook, he doesn’t operate the most-liked page. The YouTube page, the Facebook official page, Texas Hold’em Poker, and Facebook for Every Phone all hold more likes. The latter sports an impressive 117.9 million.

Although Eminem clearly has the most likes, it doesn’t mean that he’s generating that much buzz on the network. Facebook recently added a “people talking about this” metric to pages, and Eminem’s sits at a relatively low 290K (considering how many likes he has). By comparison, over 1.1 million people are currently “talking about” Lady Gaga on Facebook.

  • Lady Gaga Sued by Bratz Toy Manufacturer

Lady Gaga, controversial celebrity-type individual and award-winning singer, is always in the spotlight for one thing or another. If the media isn’t foaming at the mouth over her latest meat costume, chances are they’re explaining to the world why countries don’t want her performing music within their borders. Now, it would seem, Gaga is the target of a lawsuit by MGA Entertainment, the company responsible for birthing the Bratz line of dolls.

According to reports, MGA paid Lady Gaga an advance of $1 million to produce a series of dolls based on her likeness. After the singer pocketed the money and agreed to the conditions, the company set forth to create said merchandise. MGA had originally planned to release the toys this summer in hopes of drumming up some interest before the holiday season rolled in. Unfortunately, Gaga and Universal Music Group had other plans.

In April, Bravado, the merchandising firm owned by said music mogul, decided they wanted to unleash the toys upon the masses in 2013, around the same time that Lady Gaga’s next album is scheduled to drop. This, of course, did not settle too well with the folks at MGA, who have invested quite a bit of money in the product. Seeing as how they anticipated nearly $28 million in revenue from the fall 2012, it’s understandable that MGA is a little ticked off at the moment.

As a result of the whole debacle, the company is suing Lady Gaga, Universal, and Bravado for $10 million due to what they feel is a breach of contract. MGA claims they put reputation on the line to secure plenty of shelf space for the toys, and now they’re left with a rather large problem thanks to the delay. Now they want compensation.

“This is a dispute between Universal Music Group’s merchandising company and MGA,” a spokesperson for Lady Gaga said in a statement. “There was no legitimate reason for dragging Lady Gaga into that dispute. Lady Gaga will vigorously defend MGA’s ill-conceived lawsuit and is confident that she will prevail.”

  • Lady Gaga Naked, Covered With Men In New Ad

People love to get what my Southern grandma would call “het up” about Lady Gaga and her antics. Basically, it means they get angry, offended, up in arms about everything she does without stopping to realize that’s what she’s aiming for. And she’s not changing her ways any time soon.

In a new ad for her perfume, FAME, Gaga reclines completely naked save for a black mask and some little photoshopped dudes crawling all over her body. The perfume itself is black liquid which sprays clear, which was her idea; in fact, she had quite a bit of input as to how the perfume would be made and what the packaging would look like.

“She is an artist that is never satisfied with the status quo – she always has this way of challenging everybody and trying to do something more, something different,” Renato Semerari, president of Coty Beauty said. “She has her own ideas and very often they’re very interesting and challenging…really, she’s not the one who says, “It’s OK, let’s move on and turn the page.” She’s always thinking, “Can we do more?” This is a very stimulating partnership; and she’s pushed us with her ideas, we’ve come with our own ideas – and the combination of the two is very valuable.”

Chances are slim that anyone will even notice the perfume bottle in the ad, so we’ll see how sales go for the megastar.

  • Lady Gaga Starts Taking Self-Shots on Instagram, Already Fitting in Nicely

The undisputed Queen of Twitter with over 26.6 million followers, Lady Gaga is making her way into another social medium – the filtered world of Instagram.

She actually posted her first photo, a self-shot, about two weeks ago. But after that, her Instagram activity was quiet. Now, in the last few hours, she’s posted four more self-shots. Plus, she just leveraged the immense power of her Twitter account to let everyone know that she was now on the network. Check out the familiar Twitter/Instagram cross-post:

I guess that means that Gaga is a legitimate Instagrammer now.

Here’s the pic she promoted on Twitter:

If you want to gauge just how popular Gaga is on any social network – just look at the interaction on that one photo. Over 11,000 “likes” and over 1300 comments. In all, Lady Gaga already has 122,000 followers on Instagram.

After dominating Twitter and maintaining a similarly strong presence on Facebook, Gaga moved to Google+ and even Tumblr in thepast year. Maybe she decided to give Instagram a whirl when someone told her that Foursquare would probably be a bad idea for someone of her…popularity.

  • Lady Gaga Suffers Concussion During Show

Lady Gaga Suffers Concussion During Show

Songstress Lady Gaga is no stranger to weirdness, as we all know by now; she wears dresses made of meat and totters around on odd, armadillo-shaped shoes. So fans at a recent show in New Zealand probably weren’t too shocked when a backup dancer smacked her on the head with a huge pole–which was a stage prop–and sent her staggering backwards before she chased him offstage with a toy gun. Just another day in the life of Gaga, right?

Not so much. The dancer was just trying to remove the pole quickly and didn’t realize Gaga was kneeling behind him. The rod came down and bashed her right on the melon, causing her to take a moment to get her bearings before running after him offstage. Her makeup artist tweeted about her condition afterwards, saying she had a concussion but was expected to be okay.

Usually the drama that erupts around Gaga concerns her costumes, her song lyrics, or her tweets, which apparently offended some fans in Thailand when she visited there for a show last month.

Fans and haters alike took to Twitter over the weekend to share their thoughts on Gaga’s mishap:

  • Lady Gaga Celebrates 25 Million Twitter Followers

Yesterday, Lady Gaga (our society’s new queen of pop) reached 25 million followers on the well-known microblogging website of Twitter. This really is no surprise, because Gaga is already a pop icon and every hit song of hers has ended up on the Top 20 Billboard charts.

Lady Gaga is very active on Twitter, sending out updates and tweets to her fans almost every single day, including updates on her latest and upcoming concerts, how she is feeling at a current moment of the day, lyrics to her songs, or her feelings towards a certain topic or opinion. She always is making sure she is in touch with her fans and letting her fans know what is currently going on in her world.

Even though Gaga has reached 25 million followers on Twitter, this is not her first big online milestone. She originally received the acclaim for one of the most viewed YouTube videos with her well-known single of Bad Romance.

Lady Gaga tweeted this 25 million follower milestone below:

#25milliontweetymonsters wow! I’m officially feeling like the luckiest girl in the world today. Last sold out show in Singapore in 2 hrs!

  • Lady Gaga Stirs Up Thailand On Twitter

Lady Gaga Stirs Up Thailand On Twitter

Surprise, surprise. Lady Gaga is stirring up controversy.

The singer, whose outrageous costumes, sexually charged lyrics, and suggestive stage routines have earned her ridicule in several countries, can’t seem to keep herself out of trouble.

Upon arriving in Thailand on Thursday, Gaga tweeted about scoring some fake designer stuff, namely a Rolex, and offended the very people she was there to entertain.

I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex.

Fans who were excited about the “Born This Way Ball” tour stop in their city quickly became agitated at what some called an offensive insult that was bad for the country’s image. One fan even said he planned to get rid of his ticket to the show.

Gaga is known for her outrageousness in most countries and has prompted Islamists in Indonesia to consider banning her show, to which Gaga replied via Twitter:

The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show & religious extremist separately, are threatening violence

  • Lady Gaga Straps On the Meat Once Again

Lady Gaga Straps On the Meat Once Again

Lady Gaga, who is currently in the midst of her “Born this Way Ball” tour, is certainly no stranger to bizarre fashion. During her Tokyo performance on Monday, the colorful singer sported yet another dress comprised entirely of meat. In order to share her edible wardrobe with the masses, she posted a picture of the outfit on Twitter. Which, of course, is what everyone does when they wear clothing that can be tossed on the grill and consumed by their carnivorous friends.

The original dress, which was designed by Franc Fernandez, was worn at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. The singer later told Ellen Degeneres that the outfit was a little odorous, though it helped her avoid other celebrities.

Professional photographer Terry Richardson, the man responsible for bringing the Kate Upton “Cat Daddy” video to the people of the world, took the picture of Lady Gaga’s outfit. It’s the one you see embedded below. The pair have apparently decided to name the dress “Americano” after the song she was singing at the time of its debut.

In other Gaga-related news, the singer has apparently been asked not to perform in Indonesian. Not only has a permit for the concert been rejected, several protests from conservative leaders have thrown the proverbial monkey wrench into her quest to entertain everyone on the planet. Certain groups have claimed that they will resort to physical force to keep Gaga from performing.

Twitter reactions to the latest incarnation of the meat dress are positioned directly beneath the handy photo you see below. As you can tell from a few of the comments, it would appear that a few people aren’t convinced this outfit is the real deal.

  • Lady Gaga Concert Protests: No One Under 18 Admitted

Lady Gaga concert protests were underway this week in South Korea, where the controversial singer’s “Born This Way” tour is set to kick off. Conservative Christians aren’t very happy with Gaga’s scheduled appearance in Seoul, so much so that they’ve managed to convince authorities that no one under the age of 18 should be permitted to attend the concert. This is unfortunate news for underage fans who have been awaiting Gaga’s arrival.

Protesters gathered outside of Olympic Stadium, where the singer was scheduled to perform. The groups claim that Gaga’s shows are “pornographic”, and that they promote homosexuality.

Reverence Yoon Jung-hoon, the mastermind behind “Civilians Network against the Lady Gaga Concert”, has a lot to say on the subject. “Some people can accept this as another culture but its impact is huge beyond art and debases religions. Even adults can’t see her performance which is too homosexual and pornographic.” Yoon also claims that he will attend the concert himself in order to properly monitor the show for objectionable content.

Yeah, right. Pull the other one, Yoon.

Despite all of the hoopla, thousands of “little monsters” (read: Gaga fans) showed up outside the venue dressed as their favorite pop icon.

Given the extreme nature of some of South Korea’s cinematic output — anyone who has seen “Oldboy” can attest to the country’s cinematic intensity — it’s kind of strange to see certain groups getting all worked up over Gaga. Personally, I think this is the sort of publicity that these so-called “controversial” artists thrive on. The more they protest, the more their kids will want to see her in concert. Just ask any parent whose kid has attended a Marilyn Manson concert.

What do you think? Are conservative Christians going too far, or are they justified in thinking that Lady Gaga could “corrupt” their kids? Leave your thoughts in the comments section.

  • Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga Have Cameos in Men in Black III: Twitter Reacts

It’s been almost ten years since the “Men in Black” franchise has seen in the inside of a movie theater, so it’s not surprising that the studio behind the third installment is looking for a little help from certain celebrities to generate some considerable buzz. What better way to drum up interest than to toss a few pop culture icons into the flick? People were amused with Michael Jackson’s cameo in “MIB II”, so why not rework, retool, and reuse that formula once again?

Director Barry Sonnenfeld, the man responsible for bringing all three films to the big screen, has announced that both Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga will portray aliens in his upcoming summer blockbuster “Men in Black III”. The two are arguably the biggest pop stars in the entire charted galaxy at the moment, so why not put their collected star power to good use? From a marketing standpoint, it makes perfect sense.

Oh, and filmmaker Tim Burton is in there, too, which means that Johnny Depp will definitely be attending a screening.

In a recent interview with Collider, Sonnenfeld stated that Bieber, Gaga, and the eternally peculiar Burton would all have small cameos in the flick.

“In this [installment] there are a few people that you’ll see up on the surveillance board, including Lady Gaga, Tim Burton, who probably knows more about aliens than I do, and let’s see who else… Justin Bieber. The challenge is getting celebrities that are famous, will give you permission and won’t be like ‘Who’s that guy?’ in 10 years,” the director explained.

People are obviously excited about this news, as you can tell from the Tweets you see embedded below. Some are genuinely excited, others are downright snarky. Then again, this is coming from Twitter, so what did you expect? Enjoy.

Lol… it’s been confirmed that Bieber will have an appearence in MIB3 as an alien. Wow.(image) 13 minutes ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

  • Lady Gaga Unveils Four New Costumes for Asian Tour

Lady Gaga is preparing to kick off a tour across select venues in Asian and Europe, so it’s to be expected that the insanely quirky singer/songwriter has four brand new costumes to share with the planet. After all, when you’re as visually-driven as Gaga is, keeping a steady flow of new outfits is almost a job requirement. Assuming, of course, that the singer wants to keep her title as a full-blown fashion diva.

For those of you who will be attending any of these scheduled performances, chances are you’ll get a good, hard look at the costumes in action when the singer hits the stage in the coming weeks. The “Born This Way Ball” tour, which kicks off in Seoul, South Korea, will showcase four brand new designs by Giorgio Armani.

Included in the collection is black bodysuit consisting of metal tubes, pieces of glass, and lots of metal studs, as well as a piece constructed of nets, crystals, and lots of sharp spikes. If this isn’t enough to satiate your appetite for Gaga-centric fashion, you can also feast your eyes on her latest leotard, which was constructed using guitars parts. It also comes with a piano headpiece. You know, just in case the leotard was too subtle.

Last, but certainly not least, is the latex tunic, which will be covered with triangles that cover her body and face. I’m sure it looks a lot better than it sounds on virtual paper.

“The state-of-the-art outfits were made of materials… that epitomise the futuristic concept of this tour,” Armani’s business partner Shinsegae International told AsiaOne.

The tour, which will consist of 110 dates, is to support her latest album “Born This Way”, which has sold six million copies worldwide since its release last May. The singer tends to spark controversy wherever she goes, and her stint in South Korea is sure to be no different. Conservative Christians are already praying that the concert is cancelled before Gaga has a chance to corrupt the country’s youth.

Twitter-loving Gaga fans, meanwhile, seem quite excited about the singer’s latest tour. You can read some of their responses, as well as a few choice tweets for the lady herself, below.

  • Lady Gaga Hits 20 Million Twitter Followers

Lady Gaga has just set another Twitter record, as Mother Monster is now the first Twitter user to ever crack the 20 million follower barrier. As of the writing of this article, Gaga has amassed 20.1 million followers.

Gaga has held the title of “Queen of Twitter for quite some time. In May, 2011, Gaga became the first to ever hit 10 million followers. Near the end of January, she hit 18 million followers, a staggering figure that meant she was gaining, on average, about 1 million new followers a month.

When Gaga hit 10 million followers, Twitter analytics company TwitterCounter predicted that she would hit 20 million in about 400 days. In reality, it took her just under 300 days to reach the number. At that time, Gaga was gaining a few under 25,000 new followers every day, Now that figure is just shy of 42,000.

As of right now, Gaga has just about 2 million followers more than Justin Bieber, who resides in second place. Third place goes to Katy Perry while President Obama comes in 8th place with just under 13 million followers. Musicians seem to rule the Twitterverse, as 7 of the 10 most-followed users are performers (and 6 of them are girls).

An incredibly famous person with a gigantic fanbase is going to garner Twitter followers at a pretty fast clip regardless of how they interact with the service. But one of the things that sets Gaga apart from some big-name performers is that she seems to take an interest in managing her Twitter account personally. She’s always claimed that she’s the one doing the tweeting – not just her PR guys. Not only that, but she interacts with fans through the service with retweets, replies, and by posting links and images.

Did ANYONE see SPRINGSTEEN on Fallon last night!!! Buy his new album. It is so genius its hard to even believe. Just mind-blowing passion. 1 day ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Twitter isn’t the only place where Gaga has a huge presence and she’s been pretty busy lately expanding her brand into other social spheres. In June 2011, Gaga started her own Tumblr fashion blog called Amen Fashion and in Januray 2012, she joined Google+. About a month ago, she launched LitteMonsters.com, her own social media site that appears to be like a Pinterest for all things Gaga. That site is still operating in a beta stage.

According to TwitterCounter, we can expect Gaga to keep her title for the foreseeable future. Going by her current rate of growth, Gaga will double her followers to 40,000,000 in about 476 days.

There is an extensive list of prominent guests and panel members scheduled to be at the event including Oprah Winfrey, Deepak Chopra, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, Harvard Law Professor Charles Ogletree, Psychologist Susan M. Swearer and actor/host and LGBT parent and spouse David Burtka as well as a crowd of policy makers, non-profit organizations, foundation leaders, students and youth at the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Askwith Forum.

So if you like Lady Gaga, or even if you don’t, you should tune in and check out the event. The Born This Way Foundation has taken great efforts to put this thing together and hopefully it will at least shed some light on ways to provide a brighter more positive outlook on life for the World’s youth.

    Here’s the foundation’s mission statement:

  • Lady Gaga Launches Backplane Site in Beta

Lady Gaga Launches Backplane Site in Beta

Months ago, it was announced that Lady Gaga had thrown her considerable influence behind a social media platform called Backplane. Exactly what that was or how it would be used by Gaga remained to be seen.

With the launch of littlemonsters.com, we are one step closer to finding out that that is going to be like.

Little Monsters is currently in “extreme beta”, with a line forming for invitations.

The fine folks at Tech Crunch were able to get an early invite and see what is behind the curtain.

Screen shots tell the tale of a Pinterest-style layout of images of all things Gaga.

As users “like” certain images and topics over others, what you see becomes more customized. You can even modify the images with a simple image editor onsite.

So, is Little Monsters merely a Lady Gaga Pinterest board?

Little Monsters is designed to be an online community for Gaga and her fans. There is a calendar aspect, with Google Calendar and Gmail integration. And, as other sites are launched with the Backplane platform, you will be able to bounce between them.

Lady Gaga has 18 million Twitter followers. As the invites roll out in the coming months Little Monsters is sure to fill in fast as a huge community. Then, as other Backplane sites launch, we’ll see this tech in action.

  • Lady Gaga Is The Queen Of Twitter With 18 Million Followers

Mother Monster still rules the Twitterverse.

Lady Gaga has become the first Twitter user to reach 18 million followers.

She announced this milestone with a tweet, reminiscing about a time when she barely had any Twitter followers:

Can’t believe I have 18,000,000 TwitterMonsters, really rad, was just a few years ago I had barely any. 1 day ago via web · powered by @socialditto

Gaga has come a long way in the past few years, especially when it comes to her internet presence. Some of her videos are among the most viewed YouTube videos of all time. When he tried to release her album Born This Way for $0.99 on Amazon, she pretty much broke the internet. She’s made an impression on Twitter (obviously), Facebook and even Tumblr.

And she has just expanded her social reach, joining Google+ earlier this week. Having only posted three times, Gaga has already amassed over 12,000 followers on the social site.

Here’s how fast Lady Gaga has attracted followers in the past few months: The singer hit the 10 million follower milestone in the middle of May, 2011. She was the first to reach this number as well. That means that in about 8 months, she’s gained 8 million new followers. I’m sure you can do the math, but that means that Gaga’s grabbing about 1 million new followers a month.

If second place Twitter user Justin Bieber wants to steal the crown, he’s going to have to work pretty hard. He currently sits nearly 1.6 million followers behind Lady Gaga.

  • Lady Gaga Now On Google+

Lady Gaga has joined Google+. She’s been one of the most popular people on other social networks like Twitter and Facebook, and it’s a little surprising that she hasn’t made her way to Google+ before now.

Danny Sullivan suggests Google’s “Search Plus Your World” features may have played a role, given that when you search Google now for “music,” there is a good chance you’ll see Britney Spears and Snoop Dogg because of their Google+ profiles. Other musicians will likely follow suit.

It’s good to know that there are artists on Google+ now that aren’t from the 90s.

As Sullivan points out, it’s interesting that Gaga wasn’t already on Google+ given that she’s actually visited Google HQ. Here are a couple of Google-related Lady Gaga videos:

Sullivan also notes the lack of another popular-on-social media artist, Justin Bieber from Google+. It’s worth noting that he has also appeared in Google videos:

I’m sure Google has no hard feelings about his absence from Google+ given all the YouTube hits he’s brought in for them.

So far, Lady Gaga has made 3 public updates, all on January 15:

“I know I’m a little late but Born This Way one Favorite Album of the Year at the People’s Choice Awards! So amazing thank you so much!”

“I’m drinking a beer looking over the new ball blueprints. I can’t wait to throw this effen party. ELECTRO POP OPERA!”

“sorry I meant won*..*too many beers* Anyone watching the Giants game?”

The account is verified, by the way.

Celebrity use played a significant role in getting more people to use Twitter. Will it do the same for Google+? I don’t see why not, especially considering they’ll be much more visible in search results. I guess that’s why Twitter has a problem with “Search Plus Your World”.

  • Lady Gaga You and I Video Announced With Her 1000th Tweet

Lady Gaga – Mother Monster, Twitter commander, has made good on her word and announced the YouTube debut of her latest video via Twitter.

Last week, we explored the viral takeoff of her stripped-down “Edge of Glory” performance on the Howard Stern show. We talked about Gaga’s enormous internet presence and how she is able boost her popularity through smart, strategic use of social media.

This latest release is another example of that.

Gaga has been promoting the release of the Yoü and I (yes, strange umlaut and all) on Twitter for over a week. On August 2nd, she announced that the video link would be her 1000th tweet –

The Music Video for “Yoü and I” will be my 1000th Tweet 13 days ago via web · powered by @socialditto

She continued to discuss the new single, revealing the cover a couple of days later –

And an hour ago she unveiled the new video, as promised, via Twitter –

YouAndIVideo: http://t.co/Ag5ZkXn. You must love all + every part of me, as must I, for this complex + incomprehensible force to be true. 55 minutes ago via web · powered by @socialditto

In the video, Gaga presents her male alter ego (Father Monster?). It’s a little NSFW due to sexual content (involving a mermaid Gaga). Check it out below –

The video already has 13,000 likes at the writing of this article.

In actuality, the video hit the internet a little before Gaga’s 1000th tweet, as it appeared on Perez Hilton earlier today.

What do you think about the new video? Is Gaga the undisputed Queen of the Internet? Let us know in the comments.

  • Lady Gaga’s Edge of Glory Performance on Howard Stern Goes Viral

It seems like everything that Lady Gaga touches turns to viral gold. Her presence on the internet is arguably the most far-reaching of any celebrity.

Not only was she the first to hit 10,000,000 Twitter followers, she remains the most followed person on the entire network with around 12.5 million as of the writing of this article. In June, Gaga joined the bloggosphere with the creation of her Tumblr fashion blog Amen Fashion.

And remember when Amazon tried selling her new album “Born This Way” for just $0.99? Fans pretty much collapsed their whole infrastructure.

The latest Gaga content that people are going gaga for is a stripped down version of her song “Edge of Glory” that she performed on The Howard Stern Show.

Apparently, it took Stern months to get Lady Gaga to come on his show. Once he did, however, it was worth the wait. He raves about the performance, saying that it’s “one of the best live performances he has ever seen on the show.” Featuring just a piano and Gaga’s voice, the YouTube video has blown up. Check it out below –

In just a couple of weeks the video has amassed over 1 million views, almost 5,000 comments and has been favorited 7,300+ times.

    She is a viral machine.

One way she stays so relevant on the internet is with her videos on YouTube. Her official video for “Bad Romance” is the second most-viewed video of all time, notching over 405 million views in a little over a year. Her YouTube channel has over 1.7 billion views altogether.

Think about it this way: This version of the song “Edge of Glory” just hit 1 million views. Another live version already has 2.5 million views. The original video has over 25 million views. Two live versions of one of her songs has more views than most YouTube videos could ever dream of having.

Of course another way she stays internet relevant is through Twitter. I mentioned that she is queen of the followed earlier, but she also interacts with fans and posts semi-regularly – about once a day.

Its nice to dance but sometimes u must cry to make the next dance better @luhgaga RT U were the 1 to draw tears from my eyes to hear u sing. 11 days ago via web · powered by @socialditto

And then there are the random things that Gaga does to boost herself online. Take for instance the YouTube question forum she did for Google. Fans submitted questions via social media and host Marissa Mayer forwarded them on to Gaga. The event even had its own logo and hashtag, #googlegoesgaga.

Love her or hate her, you can’t deny that her internet presence is becoming that of legend.
