  • Taylor Kinney Gets Freaked Out By Fiancée Lady Gaga’s Television Preferences

Taylor Kinney apparently gets “freaked out” by some of the scary stuff fiancé Lady Gaga watches on television. That is according to Gaga, who appeared on Jimmy Fallon this week (as her stint on FX’s American Horror Story debuted):

The aforementioned scary stuff includes true crime content like Dateline and The Jinx. She also mentioned that slasher movies calm her down “like a nice cup of tea.”

Gaga has said, however, that Taylor Kinney has been “exponetially supportive the entire time” with regards to her American Horror Story work.

Kinney retweeted these American Horror Story Lady Gaga tweets to show said support:

We have to say it would be pretty shocking if he was not supportive after seeing the ring he gave her.

Taylor Kinney will be back with Chicago Fire on NBC on October 13.

  • Lady Gaga Promotes ‘American Horror Story’ Stint, Starts Countdown to Season Premiere

Lady Gaga is set to star in the upcoming season of American Horror Story as the creepy owner of the Cortez Hotel. The singer is clearly excited about her upcoming role, as she is promoting a countdown to the October 7th premiere via Twitter.

Appearing in a new teaser trailer for the FX hit show, Lady Gaga doesn’t look a lot different than she does when performing on a concert stage. Her wardrobe is similar to outfits she’s worn throughout the past few years as a music superstar. Series creator Ryan Murphy said earlier this summer that several designers have collaborated on her wardrobe ensemble.

Lady Gaga will play an Elizabeth of Bathory-inspired character, who not only owns the hotel, but also engages in love affairs with both Matt Bomer and Fin Wittrock.

Returning American Horror Story stars Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Denis O’Hare, Emma Roberts, and Wes Bentley will star alongside Lady Gaga in American Horror Story: Hotel.

Ryan Murphy said all the seasons of the show are connected somehow, and that the thread will all make sense when the series comes to an end.

Are you an American Horror Story fan? Don’t you see Lady Gaga meshing perfectly with the characters, as well as with this season’s story line?

Might Lady Gaga consider giving up singing and turn to full time acting at the end of her latest pursuit?

There are no doubt a vast number of fans who pray that’s not the case.

  • Lady Gaga: Ryan Murphy Talks About Her “Spectacular Murder Scene”

Lady Gaga: Ryan Murphy Talks About Her “Spectacular Murder Scene”

Lady Gaga has graced the screen–both large and small–before, with small roles on The Sopranos and in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. But her next role has fans impatiently waiting for the return of a very popular show, and the creator recently revealed some secrets about her character.

Ryan Murphy said during an interview with E! that Gaga will have a very complex character on the new season of American Horror Story, revealing that she has relationships with Angela Bassett’s character and Matt Bomer’s, and that the latter shares a pretty heinous murder scene early on in the series.

“Lady Gaga will play a character who has relationships with Angela and Matt. She’s playing the owner of the hotel. A wealthy social doyenne. She’s consumed with art and fashion and people, and she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode. She starts working on Monday. In the first two days, she has a pretty spectacular murder scene with Matt Bomer,” Murphy said.

The show will also star Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny, Emma Roberts, Richard T. Jones, Denis O’Hare–who plays a character obsessed with Elizabeth Taylor and even dresses like her–Lily Rabe, Max Greenfield, Darren Criss, and Madchen Amick. Show favorites Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, and Evan Peters are also signed on, and Bates revealed recently that her character actually runs the haunted hotel.

“I have relationships with Matt Bomer and Wes and I can’t stand Sarah Paulson. Liz Taylor and I have a very close relationship,” Bates said.

Murphy said earlier this year that every season of the show is connected somehow, and the thread will be revealed when the series comes to an end. Most details from Hotel, as with the previous seasons, have been kept pretty closely guarded by the showrunners, so any tidbit of info that Murphy gives is gobbled up by rabid fans. As for Lady Gaga, she hasn’t said much about the role, preferring instead to let the fans see for themselves when the show premieres October 7.

  • Anna Wintour: Why She Doesn’t Attend Met Gala After Parties

Anna Wintour visited Late Night With Seth Meyers earlier this week, and chatted with host Seth Meyers about the Met Gala. The Vogue editor-in-chief dished about different celebrities and what they wore to the big event, and even dished on why she doesn’t partake in a tradition after the big evening.

Wintour touched on Anne Hathway’s gold lame Ralph Lauren gown.

“I thought she looked amazing,” Wintour said of the actress who once played a character inspired by the editor’s assistant in The Devil Wears Prada. “I have to admit I was slightly confused by the China reference, but I did my research and I found out that Anne and Ralph Lauren had actually based this dress on a modern Chinese artist, whose work features hip-hop artists and people wearing hoodies. So there you go, it’s brilliant!”

Anna Wintour had very positive things to say about Justin Bieber–even after Seth Meyers said his custom Balmain blazer paired with an asymmetrical button-down shirt, a black cummerbund, and black trousers looked funny.

“Now come on, Seth,” she said. “This was actually one of my favorites. These are all Chinese dragons and apparently that’s aged gold bullion thread… as it should be.”

So what tradition regarding the Met Gala does Anna Wintour forgo?

She doesn’t go to the after parties.

“I don’t go to the after parties,” she shared. “I think people always feel if I go to the after parties, they have to behave well, which, after all, is not the point of an after party. So, Rihanna and Lady Gaga were the hosts of the after parties. I retire with George Clooney.”

Speaking of George Clooney–Anna Wintour said he could where anything he wanted becaause “he has Amal on his arm and he’s George Clooney–he doesn’t have to wear anything.”

She makes a very good point. George Clooney doesn’t have to wear a thing.

Are you surprised by Anna Wintour’s reason behind not attending the after parties? That almost makes her seem approachable–doesn’t it?

Wintour definitely seem approachable on Late Night With Seth Meyers. In fact, the Vogue editor-in-chief was really very funny.

  • Katy Perry, Madonna, Gaga Photo Nearly Breaks The Internet

Katy Perry, Madonna, and Lady Gaga all appeared at the Met Gala on Monday and posed for a photo together despite the event’s rules about cell phones. Today, the photo is making its way around the web as fans try to decipher the caption.

Perry posted the pic to her Instagram account, writing, “Dropping our single tomorrow”. The photo didn’t quite break the internet, but hopeful fans who have been waiting for just such an announcement took to social media to talk it out. Unfortunately for them, it appears Perry was just being facetious. However, the photo itself is still being held up as a history-making moment as fans of all three women celebrate an image of such huge stars spending time together.

There have been rumors of a feud between all three women in recent months, with some saying Madonna and Gaga had a beef over the song “Born This Way” and its similarity to “Express Yourself”. Earlier this year, word got around that Perry and Gaga had some issue after one of Perry’s tweets was said to be about Gaga’s song “Alejandro”. All three have spoken out against the stories, saying that people like to make up drama between women where there is none.

Perry, Gaga and Madonna have all been rumored to have ongoing feuds with one another, and Perry has also been implicated in a feud with Taylor Swift after a Rolling Stone interview in which Swift talked about another artist who tried to hire her backup dancers away from her.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’” Then last year, the other star crossed a line. “She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”

Swift later said that she wouldn’t give the media any more fuel and refuses to talk about Katy Perry when asked.

  • Lady Gaga Walks Down the Aisle at Best Friend’s Wedding

Lady Gaga took a walk down that proverbial aisle recently, but not to marry fiance Taylor Kinney. Instead she served as a bridesmaid at the wedding of a dear friend. The wedding took place in New Orleans and Lady Gaga remained tastefully understated so her appearance wouldn’t in any way upstage the bride.

The nuptials took place at the botanical gardens in the Big Easy, and Stefani Germanotta (Gaga’s real name) wore a flowing lilac gown with heels for the big day.

So when will Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney take their own walk down the aisle? The two got engaged over Valentine’s weekend, but no word has yet escaped as to when they’ll wed.

Tony Bennett recently announced that he will be singing at the wedding when Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney tie the knot.

“They invited me to do it and, of course I will,” he said during an interview with Page Six. “All I know is, knowing Lady Gaga, it will be fabulous. She’s marrying a very wonderful man, very talented and very handsome…He’s a very nice person. A nice guy who also just so happened to nail his proposal.”

On Friday afternoon, however, all Gaga was interested in was being there for her best friend. She shared her excitement via an Instagram post.

“Watching your best friend get married, these are the specialist times in my life. Seeing happiness in the lives of all my friends,” she captioned the following photo.

Fans are no doubt watching and waiting for any sign as to when Lady Gaga and the Chicago Fire hunk will get married. In the meantime it’s nice to see that Lady Gaga is enough of a dear friend to take a backseat to the fame she is so accustomed to garnering–at least for one day.

  • Taylor Kinney’s Ex Claims He Cheated on Her With Lady Gaga

Taylor Kinney’s ex-girlfriend claims that he cheated on her with his now fiancée Lady Gaga.

Brittany Sackett told the Daily Mail that she caught Chicago Fire‘sTaylor Kinney and Lady Gaga caught them when an accidental phone call was made to her phone from Kinney and she overheard the two of them in the middle of a make out session.

    Ouch.

“Taylor pocket dialed me at 2.30 in the morning. I could tell it was intimate conversation, I could hear kissing, muffled sounds and I recognized Lady Gaga’s voice,” said Sackett.

Hackett said her instincts immediately kicked in and she just knew what was going on.

“You have your instincts as a woman. Whatever he was doing shouldn’t have happened while we were in a relationship,” she said.

Brittany Sackett, 30, said she never said a word to anyone about the pocket dial.

“In that moment I was super sad, I was pi**ed. I never saw it coming. My boyfriend was making out with Lady Gaga – it sucked. I felt betrayed, who wouldn’t? I wanted to see how it played out, but later I saw one of his friends and he said to me, ‘You know what’s going on with Taylor and Lady Gaga right?”

“Sadly I did,” she continued. “Eventually I met with Taylor and he said he was really sorry but I didn’t want to hear any of his excuses. I told him how I felt, I told him he should have been honest so I didn’t have to find out through his friend. We talked about how we were weren’t a match for each other and we agreed to go our separate ways.”

Although Brittany Sackett says she is over the anger, the pain of the betrayal lingers.

“It was really unexpected, everything was going well and I wish he had come to me first and said he had this connection with her. It wasn’t fair to me, his lack of honesty. It’s weak-willed when you don’t have the guts to come clean like a normal, honest human being, I think I would have respected that. I’d like to think he’d do it differently now, I’m sure he’s changed and he’s learned from it. I forgive him.”

  • Vince Vaughn, Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney Take Polar Plunge in Lake Michigan for Special Olympics

Vince Vaughn, Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney jumped into the freezing, icy waters of Lake Michigan Sunday in support of Special Olympics.

Chicago’s Lake Michigan was the scene for fundraiser for Special Olympics, where the celebrities took their polar plunge.

Maura Bruton, a spokeswoman for the event, confirmed Sunday that Gaga did the plunge along with more than 4,500 other participants.

Vince Vaughn, a Chicago native, took the plunge into the icy water sporting his Chicago Blackhawks jersey and jeans. He waded in up to his knees before slowly sinking backwards in the water.

Lady Gaga made the plunge with her fiancé, Chicago Fire‘s Taylor Kinney, who went into the water bare-chested.

The event is in its 15th years. Last year, Jimmy Fallon attended the event and helped raise more than $1 million.

Seems like what a celebrity is wearing when they make the plunge is a big deal. Last year, Fallon jumped into Lake Michigan wearing a suit and tie.

  • Lady Gaga Dominated Oscars Social Media Chatter

The most talked-about moment of Sunday night’s Academy Awards wasn’t an actual award announcement – it was a musical performance.

Lady Gaga’s unanimously-praised performance of a Sound of Music medley garnered the most social media chatter during the broadcast – both on Facebook and Twitter.

According to Facebook, Lady Gaga’s The Sound of Music medley and Julie Andrews’ appearance onstage hit 214K People Per Minute (PPM) globally and 154K PPM in the US. It beat out other buzzed-about moments like The Imitation Game winning Best Adapted Screenplay, Eddie Redmayne winning Best Actor, and even Birdman‘s win for Best Picture.

And over on Twitter, Lady Gaga’s performance saw the biggest spike in Tweets per minute. @LadyGaga was also the most-mentioned celeb of the night.

Check out her performance below. Was it your favorite part of last night’s Oscars?

  • Julie Andrews Surprises Fans, Thanks Lady Gaga at Oscars

Julie Andrews not only made a surprise appearance at the 2015 Oscars on Sunday, she also thanked Lady Gaga for her beautiful performance of a medley of songs from The Sound of Music. Julie Andrews, of course, starred in The Sound of Music–50 years ago.

Lady Gaga included popular songs from the 1965 film, including “Edelweiss,” “My Favorite Things” and “Sixteen Going on Seventeen.” And when she sang the title song from the film, Julie Andrews appeared on stage and gave her a big hug.

“Dear Lady Gaga,” Andrews said. “Thank you for that wonderful tribute. It really warmed my heart. It’s hard to believe that 50 years have gone by since that joyous film was released.”

“As for me–how lucky can a girl get?” she added.

“I really put my heart into preparing it, and I’m really excited to entertain the nominees tonight,” Lady Gaga said prior to her performance. No one knew what she would be singing at the big event.

Those who don’t realize how long Julie Andrews has been around will be hard pressed to believe she is 79 years old. She looked young, beautiful, and vivacious during her time on stage at the Oscars. She certainly didn’t look the part of a 79-year-old woman.

What a wonderful surprise it was for viewers at home–and certainly for those in the audience at the 2015 Oscars, too–to have Julie Andrews take the stage following the incredible performance by Lady Gaga. It truly lent a magical touch to the already incredibly exciting evening.

Lady Gaga has experienced some magic of her own recently, too. She became engaged to Chicago Fire hunk Taylor Kinney on Valentine’s Day. Do you suppose Julie Andrew offered her congratulations to Gaga–whose real name is Stefani Germanotta–following their on-stage meeting at the Oscars?

  • Taylor Kinney: ‘Chicago Fire’ Star Proposed, Lady Gaga Said Yes

Taylor Kinney, one of the handsome stars of NBC’s hit show Chicago Fire, proposed to longtime girlfriend Lady Gaga on Valentine’s Day. She said yes to his proposal. He presented his betrothed with a gorgeous, heart shaped diamond ring.

The newly engaged couple was spotted inside her family’s restaurant–Joanne’s Trattoria on the Upper East Side–shortly after becoming engaged.

Barry Lewis is the executive editor for the Times Herald-Record. He and his wife just happened to be dining at Joanne’s when Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney came into the restaurant, where she flashed her engagement ring around.

“I heard the singer say ‘It was time’ as she flashed the ring around,” he said.

He added that Lady Gaga’s father then opened champagne in honor of the celebration.

Lady Gaga shared a photo of the engagement ring on Instagram on Monday.

Stefani Germanotta–Lady Gaga’s real name–captioned the photo, “He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!”

A photo posted by @ladygaga on

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney–who are 28 and 33, respectively–have been dating for about four years. Back in October, she reportedly told a U.K. publication that the Chicago Fire hunk is a ‘softie.’

“He’s the first man that I have dated that, when I sing onstage, he cries,” she said. “That means more to me than anything.”

Some may wonder why the rather straight-laced actor would take up with someone as admittedly strange as Lady Gaga. She told Ellen DeGeneres the following about Taylor Kinney during an appearance on her show a little more than a year ago.

“He is extremely strange, actually,” she told Ellen. “We complement each other’s weirdness. That’s actually one of the first things he ever said to me. It’s a Dr. Seuss quote. You find in someone else a compatible weirdness.”

You can check out Taylor Kinney on Chicago Fire on Tuesday nights at 10:00 PM on NBC. And sorry, ladies. As handsome as he is in his role as Kelly Severide, it’s important to understand he is now officially off the market.

  • Giuliana Rancic Dissed by Lady Gaga on Grammys Red Carpet

Giuliana Rancic was stunning at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, wearing a slim fitting black jumpsuit with sexy mesh panels. The E! Fashion Police host accessorized her look with a tiny clutch and bright red lipstick.

“I am wearing pants for the first time on the red carpet,” Rancic said of her ensemble.

“It’s definitely not faux sheer–there is no such thing,” she added to Ryan Seacrest. “It’s sheer all the way up so I couldn’t wear any sort of undergarments.”

It wasn’t all fun and games on the red carpet for Giuliana Rancic, however. She was actually dissed by a Grammy winner when trying to catch her attention for a few words.

Lady Gaga was the one who made the rather rude red carpet diss.

Giuliana Rancic tried getting Lady Gaga’s attention, and the singer, who sauntered by on Tony Bennett’s arm, glanced her way but never gave her the time of day. How rude.

Would it have hurt Lady Gaga to raise her fingers and wave in Giuliana Rancic’s direction?

Yes, the questions typically asked of celebrities by people like Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet at events like the Grammy Awards are often glib. But let’s not forget this was on national TV.

Do you think Lady Gaga was rude or did Giuliana Rancic for some reason deserve that diss?

  • Lady Gaga Takes A Selfie With Pop Superstar

Lady Gaga has amassed quite a fan following, but she may have doubled it over the weekend when she posted a selfie on Instagram with pop superstar Mariah Carey.

The duo were backstage at Carey’s show at the Beacon Theater in New York and snapped a couple of pics, with Gaga calling Carey “legendary”.

“Hey ladies, Merry F-cking Christmas, Love, Mariah and Gaga. This lady is so kind, such a star, and sounding legendary tonight at Beacon Theatre,” she wrote.

Carey also shared a photo of the duo from a different angle, wishing her followers a merry Christmas.

Carey has been in the headlines lately with husband Nick Cannon, as the couple are reportedly headed for divorce. Cannon has also been fending off rumors that he was involved in model Amber Rose’s recent split from rapper Wiz Khalifa.

“Nick’s not a part of Amber’s relationship with Wiz. He’s got respect for both Amber and Wiz and was shocked when he himself heard the news they were breaking up just like everybody else,” a source told HollywoodLife.com.

  • Lady Gaga Opens Up About Being Raped

Lady Gaga Opens Up About Being Raped

Lady Gaga recently opened up about being raped when she was only 19 years old. Gaga was recently interviewed by Howard Stern, and when he brought up her performance at South by Southwest, where artist Millie Brown vomited paint on her, Gaga opened up about the rape.

Gaga said that the incident was symbolic of how she felt after she was raped as a teenager. She also said that the song she was singing at the time, Swine, was about rape and sexual abuse.

“I wrote a song called ‘Swine,’ the song is about rape, the song is about demoralization,” she said. “The song is about rage and fury and passion, and I had a lot of pain that I wanted to release.”

Gaga wasn’t willing to go into much detail about her ordeal though.

“You keep alluding to – were you raped by a record producer?” Stern asked. “Is that what happened?”

“I don’t want to be defined by it. I’ll be damned if somebody’s gonna say that every creatively intelligent thing that I ever did is all boiled down to one d—head that did that to me,” she told Stern. “I’m gonna take responsibility for all my pain looking beautiful and all the things I’ve made out of my strife. I did that.”

Although Gaga wasn’t willing to name names, after the interview Kesha’s attorney suggested that Dr. Luke may have been the person who assaulted Gaga. Kesha has accused Dr. Luke of abusing her mentally and sexually and blamed her eating disorder on him as well.

Dr. Luke’s attorney denied that he was responsible for the abuse of Gaga and said that he wasn’t around Gaga during the time period that she says she was raped.

Gaga may never say who was responsible for her sexual abuse, but it is clear that she is not ashamed of it and will not let it hold her back from anything.

  • Lady Gaga: No, Dr. Luke Was Not My Rapist

Lady Gaga: No, Dr. Luke Was Not My Rapist

Ever since Lady Gaga told Howard Stern that she had been raped by a music producer when she was 19, it’s all anyone talks about. Maybe she’s starting to regret saying anything about it in the first place.

In an interview on the Stern show earlier this week, Gaga spoke about her much ballyhooed performance at the last SXSW event. In that show she was joined by performance artist Millie Brown, whose own act centers around vomiting paint. Gaga let Brown vomit on her while singing her song “Swine.”

When Stern brought up the event, Gaga responded that a man “could never, ever degrade me as much as I degrade myself.” She revealed that she had been raped by a music producer and had since sought therapy over the incident.

Once that story hit the media, it sparked another remark. This one was from Kesha’s attorney, Mark Geragos, who is representing her in her lawsuit battle with producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald. Kesha claims Dr. Luke verbally and sexually abused her when they worked together. But Geragos claimed in a Twitter exchange that it was Dr. Luke who had also raped Lady Gaga.

Reps for Lady Gaga deny that the man in question was Dr. Luke. And Dr. Luke’s reps released a statement denying it, as well.

“Mark Geragos’ statement is completely false and defamatory,” the statement reads. “Luke met Lady Gaga twice for less than half an hour total in those two meetings combined. He has never been alone with her and never touched her. Neither meeting was in that time frame reported.”

But Geragos is sticking to his story, despite both parties denying it.

“I said it because it’s true.” Geragos told TMZ. He even referenced the recent Bill Cosby scandal. “The Cosby allegations have now made others more courageous about coming out.”

  • Howard Stern Gets Lady Gaga to Open Up About Being Raped As a Teen

Howard Stern‘s questions to Lady Gaga about a recent incidence at a concert opened up some old wounds for the singer, leading her to reveal that she had been raped as a teenager.

The admission of being raped came up while Gaga visited Stern’s show this week. Stern asked about her song, Swine, and the controversy that arose after Gaga’s performance of the song at SXSW back in March, when performance artist Millie Brown vomited green paint all over Gaga during the show.

“I wrote a song called Swine. The song is about rape,” she said. “The song is about demoralization. The song is about rage and fury and passion, and I had a lot of pain that I wanted to release.”

Stern took the opportunity to dig a little more into the details surrounding the alleged rape.

“Were you raped by a record producer?” he asked.

Gaga initially tried to avoid the questions altogether, but something eventually led her to reveal more about the incident and how it affected her. She never mentioned any names or specifics about the incident, but she was very candid in expressing the trauma it caused in her life.

“I went through some horrific things, and I’m able to laugh now, because I’ve gone through a lot of mental and physical therapy and emotional therapy to heal over the years,” she said. “My music’s been wonderful for me. But, you know, I was a shell of my former self at one point. I was not myself. To be fair, I was about 19. I went to Catholic school and then all this crazy stuff happened, and I was going, ‘Oh, is this just the way adults are?’”

Gaga did reveal that the man was 20 years older than she and said she kept the rape a secret for a very long time.

“It didn’t affect me as much right after as it did about four or five years later,” she said. “It hit me so hard. I was so traumatized by it that I was like, ‘Just keep going,’ because I just had to get out of there.”

  • Tony Bennett: Lady Gaga Says He Saved Her

Tony Bennett: Lady Gaga Says He Saved Her

Lady Gaga hasn’t always loved the music industry and although she was lucky enough to find success early on in her career, she admitted that there was a time when she was fed up with everything and ready to quit. Luckily, Tony Bennett stepped in and stopped her and she says that he saved her life.

She recently told Parade, “I’m not going to say any names, but people get irrational when it comes to money – with how they treat you, with what they expect from you. But if you help an artist, it doesn’t give you the right, once the artist is big, to take advantage of them … I was so sad. I couldn’t sleep. I felt dead.”

“And then I spent a lot of time with Tony. He wanted nothing but my friendship and my voice,” she said.

Gaga said that things were so bad that she didn’t even want to sing anymore and was ready to leave the music industry for good. Tony offered some advice to her and convinced her to stick it out and work through her problems.

“The other day, Tony said, ‘I’ve never once in my career not wanted to do this.’ It stung. Six months ago I didn’t feel that way.

“I tell Tony every day that he saved my life.”

Gaga said that Tony’s advice turned out to be correct and that she is glad she didn’t walk away and stuck it out. She said that Tony still helps her work through her issues and offers his wise advice anytime she needs help or inspiration.

  • Lady Gaga’s Photos Cause Body Image Drama

Lady Gaga is once again in the middle of a controversy, but this time she held her head high and kept her cool.

When Gaga posted some photos on her Instagram account this week, she didn’t expect to see so many negative comments about her body and weight.

In the photos Gaga is wearing a nude colored monokini and posing near what appears to be an indoor swimming pool.

The swimsuit showed off her legs and thighs as well as the rest of her curves.

A short time after she shared the photos, many of her Instagram followers started posting mean and nasty comments, pointing out her stomach and legs and accusing her of being overweight and out of shape.

Gaga responded to the comments by saying,

“Proud at any size, because the inside is what really counts. Plus, it’s all how you pose! just ask the supermodels!”

She responded to other comments by saying, “I’d rather be fat than be shallow.”

Gaga’s fans also came to her defense on Instagram and Twitter.

In the end it looks like Gaga came out the winner by being the bigger person.

How do you think Lady Gaga looks in her swimsuit photos and did she handle the negative comments the right way?

  • ‘Babymetal’ Brings New Music Craze to the USA

The phrase “Babymetal” has been popping up around the Internet lately, and if you’re confused on what it means, you’re not alone. The newest music sensation to hit the states comes in the form of three tiny Japanese girls who go by the name “Babymetal.” Their names are Su-Metal, Yuimetal, and Moametal, who sing, scream and dance on stage to heavy yet bouncy beat, with plenty of theatrics to boot.

Though Babymetal formed in 2010 (as an off-shoot to Japanese pop group Sakura Gakuin), the trio performed their first US show this July to a sold out crowd, then supported Lady Gaga on a string of her North American tour dates.

“I didn’t even know what metal was all about before this,” says Su-Metal, 16. “When they told me I’d be doing BABYMETAL, I listened to [metal] and its heavy drums. I thought it was interesting and I imagined the choreography I would do.”

Many critics think this new emergence is “contrived” and “gimmicky.” Perhaps, although NPR is quick to point out that many metal acts thrive on gimmicky, contrived acts:

Metal is as much about contrivance as it is about substance, and often its best bands have been able to skillfully combine the two. What makes metal so uniquely charming is that the bands and their audiences buy into those contrivances and gimmicks fully, without irony.

Babymetal’s self-titled debut was released just this February, and quickly went to the #1 spot on iTunes Metal chart in the US, UK, and Canada. Babymetal is the youngest Japanese group to break into Billboard’s 200 chart. Listen to Babymetal for yourself and see if you’re on board with the newest music craze:

  • Lady Gaga Hospitalized For Altitude Sickness

After performing at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado on Wednesday, Lady Gaga was hospitalized for altitude sickness.Altitude sickness is common in people who travel to areas that are higher above sea level than what they are used to.

The symptoms of altitude sickness include anorexia, nausea or vomiting; fatigue or weakness; dizziness or lightheadedness; and difficulty sleeping and most people feel like they are coming down with a cold before they realize there is something else going on.

Gaga went to a Denver hospital and was admitted for treatment. She posted a photo of herself with an oxygen mask of Instagram and said, “Altitude Sickness is no Joke,” in the caption.

In spite of the sickness, Lady Gaga’s show in Seattle on Friday went on as planned and Gaga seems to be doing much better.

Altitude sickness is treated with oxygen, rest, and fluids and doctors often advise sufferers to rest often, avoid drinking too much alcohol, drink plenty of water and avoid a lot of physical activity.

Gaga could experience the symptoms again if she does not follow the doctor’s orders and may not be able to continue her tour if she is unable to overcome the sickness.

In spite of the illness, Gaga was able to make it on to Seattle where she performed for the audience, who had been nervous that the show would be canceled.

The last stop on her North American tour was Vancouver, where she performed on Saturday.
